Riots erupted across northern Syria and throughout Turkey on Monday, fuelled by Turkish anti-Syrian sentiment. While social media fuelled hysteria and led to the outburst of violence, the underlying issues on both sides that underpinned the chaos may be indicative of an imminent deal to secure a normalization of ties between Ankara and Damascus.

The Turkish military has advanced 15 kilometers deep into Iraqi Kurdistan, targeting the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and forcing the evacuation of hundreds of villages, according to a conflict monitor's report on Sunday.

I'm sick and tired of filtering through the crap posted by so called members who have figured out how to post garbage on the main feed of this website.  As a longtime user of the website trying to help counter the corporate-psychopath propaganda I really just can't stand the useless posts by those members who DO NOT respect that this website belongs to Mike and Claire.  I hate every one of you and if we ever meet in person I will firmly express myself by placing my boot as far up your ass as possible to let you know how unwelcome your contributions have been!

Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Ankara has received intelligence reports that indicated Cyprus had become a military base for operations in Gaza.

“We constantly see in intelligence that the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus is a base for certain countries in operations targeting Gaza,” he said during an interview broadcast by Haberturk on Monday.

“When we brought this to the agenda, our European counterparts suddenly declared it a logistics base.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has indicated that he is open to a “partial” deal that would facilitate the return of some captives still held in Gaza, even if not all.

He reiterated, however, that he would not agree to any deal that stipulated an end to Israel’s war on Gaza, despite previous claims by the United States that an Israeli proposal would be a pathway to ending the offensive.
