THE heroes who ran towards the burning rubble of the World Trade Centre to rescue others on September 11 have been dealt a cruel blow.
They managed to survive the horror of the shocking 2001 terrorist attack in New York City, but now it’s been revealed that more than 2500 of the brave people who responded to 9/11 have contracted cancer.
Having lost the propaganda battle over the doomed airliner, Washington seems intent on opening up a second front in the information war, alleging cross-border shelling by Russian forces. But such is American arrogance and deceit, this information war runs a very real risk of inciting a full-on shooting war between world powers.
Meanwhile, the Russian military command has furnished European Union officials in Brussels with a dossier of its own evidence, based on satellite, radar and air traffic control communications that tend to show a completely different set of circumstances over the downing of the airliner. Russia’s information, which is verifiable unlike Washington’s with-held «secret intelligence», strongly suggests that Malaysia Airlines MH17 was taken down by Western-backed Ukrainian military forces under the command of the Kiev regime.
The Ukrainian leadership has resigned, because of their unwillingness to impose the IMF's terms, which would impoverish the population within months. That impoverishment would be extracted from the Ukrainian public in order to repay the IMF's loans, which had been skimmed off by Ukraine's oligarch billionaires into secret bank accounts in Switzerland and other tax-havens.
It is simply a lie that Israel's slaughter in Gaza is a response to an "unprovoked attack" by Hamas. Not only is it a lie, it is a transparent, brazen lie, whose falsehood is glaringly apparent to anyone who had given even a cursory look at coverage of the Israeli government's response to the murder of three Israeli teenagers in June.
The truth is that outside Israel, Washington, D.C. and various other Zionist strongholds, David Harris’s worldview is crumbling. And, as the numbers of those who share his viewpoint shrinks, other counter-groups, such as the boycott Israel movement, grow in number. Sooner or later a tipping point will be reached and then things will change and probably do so rapidly. On that day what will David Harris do? Blame it all on anti-Semitism? Take residence at the top of Masada? Or grudgingly seek to make his peace with the Palestinians?,
Now, according to tax documents released this week, we learn that the Tor Project received over $1.8m from the US government in 2013. Of that, $256,900 came directly from the State Department, with an additional $555, 413 coming from Internews Network, which the documents confirm as a “pass-through” organization for State Department money.
I don't know about you, but I always took a certain comfort in the notion Harper was a cynical master of manipulation, a politician for whom no wedge was too harmful or divisive to be shunned. This is bad, of course, and both immoral and dangerous, but it contains the comforting kernel of thought that no one as bright as Harper is could actually fail to see the glaring contradictions in the stuff he says. This always offered the faint hope he didn't actually believe everything he was saying, and therefore might be philosophical if voters indicated they disagreed.
Naturally one hoped his petulant and furious reaction to the complicated situation unfolding in Ukraine reflected only the availability of another potential wedge issue here in Canada. That is, a chance to capture the Ukrainian-Canadian vote. Perhaps, one hoped, it didn't reveal his actual thoughts on the unstable and dangerous crisis in which there are plenty of nasty players and victims on all sides.
However, after reading Harper's little magnum opus about how Putin is all bad, and the current Ukrainian government -- neo-Nazi enforcers, foreign fascist mercenaries, the illegal coup that brought it to power and everything else -- is nothing but good, I'm not so sure.
We already know that the folks behind the Creation Museum are working on “Ark Encounter,” a Noah’s Ark-based theme park. Three years ago, they received approval for more than $40,000,000 in possible tax rebates from the Kentucky Tourism Development Finance Authority. It was based on the assumption that the park would break ground within three years and cost around $173,000,000 in total.
Settlements are illegal under international law, statements say, and dealing with them carries legal and financial risks.
Twelve members of the European Union have published warnings over the past day urging their citizens to refrain from engaging in business, economic activity and investment in settlements or bodies connected to the settlements.
Erdo?an also accused Israel of committing genocide and of knowing best how to kill children, which was a repeat performance from yesterday when he alleged that Israel has been committing systematic genocide against Palestinians during every Ramadan since 1948.
On Wednesday, a pro-government newspaper, the daily Yeni Akit, published an open letter by Faruk Köse to Turkey’s chief rabbi, calling on the Jewish community to apologize for Israel’s actions in Gaza.
This amazing interview was done back in 1985 with Yuri Bezmenov, a former KGB agent who was trained in subversion techniques. He explains the 4 basic steps to socially engineering entire generations into thinking and behaving the way those in power want them to. It’s shocking because our nation has been transformed in the exact same way, and followed the exact same steps.
Let us not forget that it was Israel, which in fact created Hamas. According to Zeev Sternell, historian at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, “Israel thought that it was a smart ploy to push the Islamists against the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO)”.
Lawrence Davidson debunks the fantasies and inventions of the Zionist view of the horror in Gaza, as represented by the thoughts of David Harris, the executive director of the American Jewish Congress.
Despite these warnings and the fact that over 650 people are confirmed dead by medical officials in Africa, global governments failed to take any significant action. Flights out of West Africa were still being allowed to leave without any real screening procedures, even though medical professionals in the region had warned that containment of the virus was spiraling out of control.
Now, amid the highly publicized infection of a leading Ebola doctor, the first case of the virus travelling aboard a commercial passenger airline has been confirmed.

According to our information, the Nazis of the Kiev Junta are planning to conduct a major terrorist act in the next several days. Or a series of terrorist acts. On the territory of Ukraine.
Egypt has demolished 13 more tunnels between the country and the Gaza Strip, which has been under an Israeli blockade for the past seven years.
The army said on Sunday that it had destroyed the tunnels in the Sinai Peninsula, but did not say when they were demolished.
The tunnels are the only lifeline for Palestinians living under the Israeli siege and Egypt has so far laid waste to 1,639 of them.
Since the ouster of Egypt’s former president Mohamed Morsi last July, the Egyptian military has launched a campaign to destroy the tunnels, preventing the people in Gaza from bringing in most of their basic goods like construction materials, food, and fuel into the coastal enclave, which has been hit by Israeli airstrikes since July 8.
RT’s article, “90% of aircraft destroyed at Tripoli airport, Libya may seek international assistance,” reported that:
"Libya is considering a deployment of international force to re-establish security amid a flare-up of violence in Tripoli which saw dozens of rockets destroy most of the civilian aircraft fleet at its international airport."
"'The government is looking into the possibility of making an appeal for international forces on the ground to re-establish security and help the government impose its authority,' a government spokesman, Ahmed Lamine said in a statement.'"
Obama has "checked out". Or rather, his administration and the folks that run his show have.
The president's completely ridiculous, inappropriate behavior after the MH17 plane was shot down should've tipped even the casual viewer that something is a tad amiss here in good 'ol U.S.A.
That day, reports that an official in the Ukrainian government had announced that 23 Americans were killed in the crash flooded the media. They were unsubstantiated reports later found to be incorrect, but they happened nonetheless.
Every outlet from Reuters on down ran with that information. Countless journalists Tweeted about it. In a late night moment of amazement at Obama's response to this news, I made this video:
WIKIPEDIA has blocked editing rights from some computers at the US House of Representatives in response to “disruptive” revisions of the online encyclopedia.
A 10-day ban imposed on Thursday blocked any editing from an IP address at the US Capitol, which is shared among a number of computers.

It is simply a lie that Israel's slaughter in Gaza is a response to an "unprovoked attack" by Hamas. The downing of Malaysian Airlines flight 17 (MH17) is a tragedy that will be remembered for years to come. However, the way in which the West has distorted the facts about what happened is no mere accident. Rather, it is a clear attempt by Washington and its allies and proxies to capitalize on the incident, using it as a weapon in their continued belligerent and aggressive policies toward Russia.
Two SU-25 fighter jets from the airbase of the 229th Brigade of the Kulbakino tactical force in Nikolayev reportedly served as control targets. One of these aircraft had been recorded near Sarostschenskoje by a Buk anti-aircraft missile system.
“The tragic accident could have led to the flight route of the Malaysian Boeing and the SU-25, which were at different altitudes, crossing and appearing on the radar display as one large point, which was fatal for the civilian plane, because the targeting system would automatically choose the larger target,” the source told Ria Novosti.
A rocket launch was reportedly not scheduled. Why a rocket was nevertheless fired, the source could not explain. “This is the question facing Ukrainian Security Service staff, who picked up the battery commander and crew at about half past nine in the evening,” he said.
Unless the underlying issues are addressed, the next ceasefire will not stop this tragic cycle. The stage will be set for another round, when Israel will mow the lawn again. Absent regime change in Israel, the cycle will continue until and unless political leaders in the U.S.-led West summon political courage they have not displayed and acknowledge that the objectives the current Israeli government is pursuing are not in their own country’s interests, or even in Israel’s.
As the sequence of events preceding the current round of violence makes clear, Netanyahu saw as the biggest threat to that strategy the reconciliation agreement between Hamas and Fatah, the dominant party in the Palestinian Authority. If the agreement held, excuses for not being serious about negotiating a comprehensive peace agreement and establishing a Palestinian state to replace the occupation would become too flimsy to maintain.
For 66 years Gaza Strip (the present day Auschwitz) was subject to incremental Genocide by Israel. Gaza Strip itself was created by Israel in its earliest war crimes.
In the spring and summer of 1948 Israel uprooted all the population of 247 Palestinian villages in southern Palestine and herded them in a tiny strip, hence named Gaza Strip. Thus the largest and longest-duration concentration camp in the world was created by Israel. Since then Israel continued to exterminate as many refugees as possible.
“We have spoken to Israel for more than 18 years and the result has been zero. We have signed agreements here and there at various times and then when there is a change in the government of Israel we have to start again from the beginning. We ask for our life and to be given back our Jerusalem, to be given our state and for enough water to drink. We want to be given more opportunity to reach Jerusalem. I have not seen Jerusalem since 1990.
“We want to see an end to this occupation, and please do not ask us to protect those who are occupying our territory.”…..Fr Manuel Mussallam
But now, officials admit the kidnappings were not Hamas’s handiwork after all. BuzzFeed reporter Sheera Frenkel was among the first to suggest that it was unlikely that Hamas was behind the deaths of Gilad Shaar, Naftali Frenkel, and Eyal Yifrach. Citing Palestinian sources and experts in the field, Frenkel reported that kidnapping three Israeli teens would be a foolish move for Hamas. International experts told her it was likely the work of a local group, acting without concern for the repercussions
On Fox News’ Hannity, eponymous host Sean Hannity decided to bring on a Palestinian guest to help get a better understanding of the experience for Palestinians in Gaza right now. Just kidding, he had him on to belittle, demean and badger the Palestinian expert before ultimately cutting his mic and kicking him off the air. Fox News: Fair and Balanced.
The Russian government and Europe need to look beyond Washington’s propaganda, because the reality is much worse.
NATO commander General Breedlove and Senate bill 2277 clearly indicate that Washington is organizing itself and Europe for war against Russia.
The US Senate’s Russian Aggression Prevention Act, about which I reported in my previous column, does even more mischief than I reported. If the bill passes, which it likely will, Washington becomes empowered to bypass NATO and to grant the status of “allied nation” to Ukraine independently of NATO membership. By so doing, Washington can send troops to Ukraine and thereby commit NATO to a war with Russia.
The power to “censor history” should not be left in Google’s hands, Wikipedia Founder Jimmy Wales warned, after the search engine giant revealed it had approved over 90,000 so-called ‘right to be forgotten’ requests. Wales said a European Court ruling allowing people to have links scrubbed from the search engine’s index was “open-ended.” He further slammed the law for being unclear.
A homeless man infected with Tuberculosis disappeared in Stockton. Eduardo Rosas Cruz, 26, first came on health officials’ radar in March, after he was diagnosed with a severe and contagious strain of TB. According to the court complaint, he didn’t comply with treatment.
Palestinians have done it all. We choose resistance, always, in all its forms. We resist because it is our right. Because we are the indigenous people of the land and we have nowhere else to go or belong. Because our parents, grandparents, great grandparents and on and on are buried in this soil. Because we are right and our cause is just. We resist passively and actively. We resist violently and non-violently. It is our legal and moral right to resist with whatever means available to us against what has been accurately called “incremental genocide.”
The justices argued in the context of the December 25, 2011 incident in which Grant County Deputy Sheriff Matthew Small knocked on the window of Daniel A. Vogt who was parked with the engine running in the Riverdale Park parking lot the village of Cassville at 2am. It was 37 degrees at the time. Vogt had done nothing illegal, but Deputy Small thought it was suspicious that Vogt was in the parking lot of a park that had closed at 11pm.
Very recently minutes have been uncovered of the original 1954 Bilderberg conference held near Oosterbeek in the Netherlands. These minutes, with more expected to be released in the coming months, reveal a growing consensus among the several members that the Anglo-American establishment was dead set on a neo-colonial power grab through trade policy. The documents also reveal that a global power network was to be established through such a policy, with the aim of bringing a large number of developing nations under its wing.
The photos of the 1954 Bilderberg minutes were taken by Shepherd Johnson, a Census Bureau whistleblower, who stumbled upon the material while doing research at a DC University Library.
Gaspipe Diplomacy: How Ukraine Set Off a New U.S.-Russian Energy Fight
By Sylvia Todorova on Jul 23, 2014
As WhoWhatWhy readers know, the real reasons surrounding a conflict are often buried under the headlines and rhetoric. So it shouldn’t come as any surprise that, behind the scenes, oil and natural gas are driving a big piece of the U.S. response to Russian involvement in Ukraine.
If you want to understand where the rubber meets the geopolitical road in the Ukraine war, you need to learn about the 1,480-mile South Stream natural gas pipeline.
I might rephrase the headline slightly": "How a US - Russian Energy Fight Set Off Ukraine /SR
Pro-Palestinian Guest of Hannity Won’t Answer Whether He Thinks Hamas is a Terrorist Organization
“You’re making a rationalization for rockets and kidnapping and murder, and you want to blame the victims in this case!” Hannity said.
“The only people blaming the victim here is you,” Munayyer said.
Hannity then asked Munayyer whether Hamas, which calls for the destruction of the Jewish state, was a terror organization, as it has been designated by the United States and its allies.
“Thank you for your question, and now I will provide an answer,” he said. “It’s very telling to me, and it should be telling to your viewers as well, by the way, that the moment you have a Palestinian voice on your program who begins to explain the legitimate grievances of Palestinians on the ground, not just Hamas.”
“Answer the question!” Hannity yelled. “Is Hamas a terrorist organization?”
“The United States certainly considers Hamas a terrorist organization, we all know that,” Munayyer said.
“I ask what you think! Can you hear?” Hannity asked.
Munayyer said they would not make any progress if Hannity simply yelled at him, setting the host off.
“What part of this can’t you get through your thick head? Is Hamas a terrorist organization? Yes or no? Yes or no?” Hannity asked, his voice rising.
The push back is not about students’ taste buds, but their wallets. Food fundraisers are a crucial source of revenue for schools, state education officials say. “Tough economic times have translated into fewer resources and these fundraisers allow our schools to raise a considerable amount of money for very worthwhile education programs,” the Georgia Department of Education wrote in a recent press release. “While we are concerned about the obesity epidemic, limiting food-and-beverage fundraisers at schools and school-related events is not the solution to solving it.” The statement called the federal guidelines on fundraisers “an absolute overreach of the federal government.”
When the bodies of three Israeli teenagers, kidnapped in the West Bank, were found late last month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not mince words. "Hamas is responsible, and Hamas will pay," he said, initiating a campaign that eventually escalated into the present conflict in the region.
The Swiss National Bank and the People’s Bank of China reached a currency swap agreement this week. While this is not a huge trend changer in the near-term, it demonstrates that our forecast for China to become the largest economy and to be the next financial capital of the world when Europe and the USA blow themselves apart with defaulting socialism is on track.
As Palestinians in Gaza buried the dozens killed during the eighteenth consecutive day of Israel’s relentless military assault by air, land and sea, Israeli fire killed at least seven during protests in the occupied West Bank.
At least ten Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli army and by Israeli civilians in the West Bank since the beginning of the Gaza assault on 7 July as Palestinians in the West Bank and present-day Israel rise up in solidarity with Gaza, where at least 843 Palestinians have been killed since the beginning of the onslaught.

US/Israel corporate media reporting lies that Hamas threatens to “kill all Jews”, and ongoingly that Iran threatens to “wipe Israel off the map.” How would such reporting cover the US Declaration of Independence to protect Empire interests?
(Satire): His Majesty, King George III, addressed Parliament today in response to the US Declaration of Independence. Excerpts:
King George: I will never apologize for England - I don’t care what the facts are.
How is England supposed to fight back against a terrorist organization whose entire mission is the destruction of England? I mean, it’s in the Congress’ Declaration of Independence that they want to kill all English.
Look at what this says (holding a copy of the Declaration): The terrorist group, Congress, calls we English “destructive,” “evil,” and vows for America to destroy England.
America has once again exercised its political clout in favor of the perpetrators of crimes against humanity; its voice the lone one to vote against a call to investigation by UN Human Rights Council into the Israeli offensive’s violations of international laws. Power and her bosses give their full support to Israel’s continued crimes against humanity and genocide.
Twenty years after Rwanda, the Genocide in Gaza is ignored. Samantha Power has either lost all memory, or she has lost all humanity –but without a doubt, she is completely void of integrity, and complicit in the crimes against Palestinians.
Two decades later, again, prior to November elections, the US is careful to avoid the “G” word. As Israeli law makers call for genocide and indiscriminate killing of Palestinians under siege

A psychiatrist is being hailed as a hero after he stopped what could have been a mass shooting at a Pennsylvania hospital earlier this week.
49-year-old patient Richard Plotts and his caseworker, 53-year-old Theresa Hunt, went into the office of psychiatrist, Dr. Lee Silverman for an appointment. Shortly after arriving a heated argument broke out, and a staffer peaked through the door to see the patient, Plotts, pointing a handgun at Silverman. The staffer then quietly shut the door and dialed 911 to alert police.
After a string of pro-Palestinian marches turned violent in the past week, Paris's police authority has banned a march set for Saturday that is in protest of Israel's air and ground incursion into Gaza.
Hundreds of Pro-Palestinian protesters took to the streets of Berlin Friday in protest of the recent attacks on Gaza . Minor clashes broke out between counter-protesters waving Israeli flags and chanting at the pro-Palestinian protesters. No arrests or casualties were reported
The Ukrainian authorities do not intend to extradite to Russia Right Sector leader Dmytro Yarosh, against whom criminal cases are opened in Russia and whom Interpol has placed on the most wanted list, the Ukrainian interior minister's advisor Anton Gerashchenko said.
A system mix up during a Ukrainian air defense units’ rocket launch exercise could be the cause of the Malaysia Airlines crash in southeast Ukraine, a source from one of the Ukrainian defense departments told RIA Novosti.
“On July 17 the commanding officer of 156th Anti-Aircraft Regiment was instructed to conduct a training exercise of ground troops stationed near Donetsk, which involved deploying the troops, and carrying out a routine tracking and destroying of targets with the Buk-M1 missile,” the source said.
The source added that the actual launch of the rockets was not intended.
Barely a month after federal regulations for school cafeterias kicked in, states are already pushing back. Specifically, they’re fighting nutrition standards that would considerably alter one of the most sacred rituals of the American public school system: bake sales.
Big wins can happen in small places. The West Virginia State Supreme Court finalized a big blow to the biotech giant Monsanto this month, finishing a settlement causing Monsanto to pay $93 million to the tiny town of Nitro, West Virginia for poisoning citizens with Agent Orange chemicals.
Ukraine will demand at an EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting on Tuesday that the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) be recognized as terrorist organizations, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
A little advice for Porkyshenko. Don't push your BS too far. You started off with little credibility and you are losing what little you have each passing day.
FOX News (sic) interviewed Anna Baltzer, an ongoing hero to expose Israeli apartheid and now genocide upon Palestinians. This is the type of “coverage” Americans receive from corporate media, and why every other nation but America have negative polling data of Israel’s government.
I’m sure how Ms. Kelly communicates in this excerpt is typical:
Megyn Kelly: “How is Israel supposed to fight back against an organization whose entire mission is the destruction of Israel? I mean it’s in the Hamas Charter that they want to kill all Jews.”
Until this past Monday, the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 on July 17th, 2014, was a potential game changer for global geopolitics and the New Cold War. However, a funny thing happened on the way to the Kremlin…
In this report, we will lay out the facts based on a wide breadth of available information and data surrounding MH17. We will also present and give critique to Washington and Kiev’s “mountain of evidence” that has saturated US and European-based media coverage since the incident took place. 21WIRE has compiled this report with the help of many contributors and references from English-speaking media, as well as material translated from Russian and Ukrainian media sources, along with other historical references to provide context. Our objective is to get as close to the truth as possible. Although many revelations will appear to be self-evident, we still encourage the public to draw their own conclusions regarding this pivotal event.
Investigators are running license plate numbers, scouring social media, examining cellphone transmissions and collecting DNA as part of their investigation into who climbed the Brooklyn Bridge in the middle of the night to plant two bleached-white American flags there, NBC News has learned.
A caravan of Canadians bringing jugs with 1,000 litres of water arrived in Detroit on Thursday afternoon in a symbolic protest against the bankrupt city shutting off water to residents who haven’t paid their bills.
James Madison and the founding generation of Americans viewed the concentration of wealth and power as the greatest threat to constitutional self-government. Today, their fear is our reality. As a result, we see a broken government responsive only to the largest corporations and privileged few. We see ordinary Americans sidelined as spectators to a big money political game. We see formidable national and global challenges exacerbated by politicians operating in a systemically corrupted system.
In Bloomberg's article, "Two Ukrainian Jets Shot Down, Three Dangerous Explanations," it claims two Ukrainian SU-25 ground attack warplanes were shot down by rebels over Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, stating:
"Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman told reporters in Kiev that two of its Sukhoi SU-25 fighter jets were shot down while flying at 5,200 meters (17,000 feet) over the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine. The pilots ejected, and their whereabouts are unknown."
"At 17,000 feet, the planes would have been outside the range of the shoulder-fired missiles that the rebels contend are their only air-defense weapons. The planes would, however, be in range of a surface-to-air missile such as the Buk, which is suspected to have been used to shoot down Malaysian Airlines flight MH-17 on July 17."
Bloomberg's "three dangerous explanations" are patently false...
On Tuesday, the trial for 30-year-old Francisco Marquez Martinez began in Forsyth Superior Court for the brutal rape of a 12-year-old girl in her Winston-Salem home. The accused was hired to mow the family's lawn, but instead, reportedly forced his way inside the house and sexually assaulted the girl, once he discovered that her parents were not at the residence.
On June 22, 2012, Marquez knocked on the door and told the victim that he wanted to cut the grass a day earlier than planned. The girl then called her mom and handed the phone to the illegal alien, according to court documents.
Marquez then began cutting the grass, until it started to rain. He knocked on the door and asked if he could come inside, and though the girl told him no, he pushed his way into the kitchen.
The MPAA, of course, was the main driving lobbying force (along with the US Chamber of Commerce) to get SOPA/PIPA approved. And here we are, just a couple of years later, and the Congressional staffer who was the main internal architect of that bill is... now officially paid by the MPAA. The old "revolving door" continues to swing round and round.
Orange County, Florida sheriff’s deputies waging an armed raid for a suspected pot dealer entered a family’s home guns blazing and shot a teen girl and her dog, only to find out the suspect they were looking for hadn’t lived in the home for weeks — despite their claim to have “surveilled” the home extensively prior to the raid. All the cops ended up finding was some perfectly legal ammunition and some pot seeds and marijuana paraphernalia. All charges against the suspect were later dropped, but their dog is dead and his sister lives with horrible back pain due to the deputies’ murder attempt.
According to Al-Mezan for Human Rights in Gaza, UNRWA implements strict security measures that ensure that only civilians enter the premises of their shelters. They also provide the address and coordinates of the shelters to the Israeli war criminal forces (IWCF) in order to assure safety measure. The school raises the UN flag.
Mr. Adnan Abu Hasana, the spokesman for the UN’s Palestine refugee agency UNRWA in Gaza stated that the (IWCF) did not send warning message before they shelled the school which used as a shelter.
He added: “We asked the israeli forces coordination office to warn us before shelling because the school is located in a dangerous area. We told them to give us enough time to evacuate women, children, elderly and UNRWA team, but they shelled the school without warning.”
An 89-year-old Nazi war crimes suspect and American citizen died in custody just hours before a US court gave the go ahead for his extradition to Germany.
Johann Breyer died on Tuesday night at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he had been transferred on Saturday after spending a month behind bars.
“I can confirm he passed away last night," his lawyer Dennis Boyle told AFP on Wednesday.
Breyer's death was disclosed just as US Magistrate Timothy Rice had approved the extradition request, which would have still needed approval by a US government review.
Rice found probable cause that Breyer was in fact the same individual being sought by German prosecutors in the Bavarian town of Weiden over his alleged service as an SS concentration camp guard first at Buchenwald, and later at Auschwitz.
A Texas-based organization that has been awarded hundreds of millions of dollars in federal contracts by the Obama administration to house illegal immigrant children not only lobbied the federal government, but also failed to properly disclose the activity.
After The Daily Caller inquired about its lobbying disclosures, BCFS, a San Antonio-based nonprofit, now says it may correct its tax forms to properly disclose its lobbying expenditures.
The Obama administration, through the Department of Health and Human Services, has tapped BCFS, formerly known as Baptist Child & Family Services, to provide security and other services to unaccompanied children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, and Ft. Sill army base near Lawton, Okla.
A suburban Chicago man who insisted during two decades in prison that police framed him for a slaying he did not commit walked out of jail Wednesday morning, hours after a jury in his retrial found him not guilty.
Rodell Sanders, 49, said after Tuesday's verdict that although he will continue to pursue a lawsuit against the Chicago Heights Police Department, detectives and others, he would first focus on trying to become acclimated to freedom. He wants to get reacquainted with his daughters and grandchildren, some of whom he had not met until Wednesday.
“The fact that the coalition has fallen apart, that laws haven’t been voted on, that soldiers can’t be paid, that there is no money to buy rifles, that there is no possibility to fill gas storages. What options do we have now?” This is, as per Bloomberg, what US handpicked handpuppet and – now former – Ukraine PM Yatsenyuk told the Kiev parliament earlier today during a speech in which he announced the resignation of his “government”. Several of his coalition partners, including right wing Svoboda, had left the government not long before.
This raises a ton of poignant questions. The first one that came to my mind was: “in whose name are the women and children of Lugansk and Donetsk going to be killed now”? It can’t be in the Kiev government’s name anymore.
An international lawyer says President Barack Obama’s statements on Israel’s deadly onslaught against Palestinians stem from “power politics” as he and other US politicians are “owned” by “the Zionist lobby.”
“We should never be so naive as to expect anything said by President Obama that touches on the subject of Israel to be based on sound logic or on facts,” said Barry Grossman in a phone interview with Press TV on Monday commenting on Obama’s remarks about Israel’s offensive on Gaza.
“There is nothing about Obama’s position or rhetoric on Gaza that is based on principle or facts as distinct from pure power politics,” Grossman added. “The simple demonstrable fact which America is at last waking up to, is that its political apparatus has been occupied by special interests for a very long time and no group is more organized, better resourced or more pernicious that the Zionist lobby.”
A desperate hunt is underway in Northern California for a tuberculosis patient who has refused treatment and may be contagious, putting those around him at risk.
Prosecutors said on Thursday that they have obtained an arrest warrant for Eduardo Rosas Cruz, a 25-year-old transient.
In March, he went to the San Joaquin General Hospital's emergency room, complaining of a severe cough. Diagnosed with tuberculosis, medical staff told him to stay in a Stockton motel room, where a health worker would deliver his medication and watch him take it. But officials say he took off.
County health officials asked prosecutors to seek the warrant, in part, because Rosas Cruz comes from a part of Mexico known for its drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis.

The latest report from the RCMP’s professional integrity officer shows 104 new formal discipline cases were brought forward in 2012-13 compared to an average of 88 for the previous 13 years. The report suggests the increase may be linked to the force’s tighter discipline process and a tougher stand on “bad apples” by RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson.
After days of placing hostile blame for the downing of the Malaysian airliner on Russia, the White House permitted US intelligence officials to tell reporters that there is no evidence of the Russian government’s involvement.
By announcing his resignation Ukraine’s parliament-appointed Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk is trying to avoid responsibility for crimes his government has committed against its own people, a Russian lawmaker said on Thursday.
The Palestinian death toll has topped 700 as Israel carries on with its ground operation and diplomats try to broker a peace deal. Hamas says it will agree to a cease fire only if Israel ends its siege of Gaza. The UN has warned that Israeli actions in Gaza could amount to war crimes.
Hoping to stem the recent surge of migrants at the Southwest border, the Obama administration is considering whether to allow hundreds of minors and young adults from Honduras into the United States without making the dangerous trek through Mexico, according to a draft of the proposal.
After a Maryville restaurant owner gained national recognition for posting ‘Guns are Welcome’ signs on her doors, an East Tennessee printing company said it’s getting orders for the signs from other local businesses.
Police in Maryland have arrested six illegal immigrants, several of which are admitted MS-13 gang members, in connection with the death of a homeless man killed outside of a liquor store earlier this week.
Early on in a just-leaked 166-page U.S. government guide to officially declaring someone a terrorist or suspected terrorist, a passage acknowledges that “watchlisting is not an exact science.” The whole enterprise has “inherent limitations,” in part because “analytic judgments may differ regarding whether subjective criteria have been met,” the document states. “Given these realities, the U.S. government’s watchlisting process attempts to safeguard the American people from a TERRORIST attack while safeguarding privacy, civil rights and civil liberties.”
Traditional U.S. policies – backing Israel whatever it does and assuming the dollar will remain king – are facing new challenges as Israel shocks the global conscience with its war on Gaza and emerging economic powers consider a new reserve currency, notes Danny Schechter.
The United States still has the highest incarceration rate in the world, but those few states that managed to significantly reduce their prison population over the last decade saw benefits other than reduced lock-up costs. They also saw their crime rate go down at a higher rate than the national average, according to a new report from the Sentencing Project.
The rush is on for big U.S. companies to lower their tax bills.
They do it by merging with foreign companies in countries with lower rates and officially moving their home base.
The strategy is called "inversion," and it's legal. But is it un-patriotic?
State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf introduced the story to the press at today’s briefing, claiming that the US has secret evidence from “human intelligence information” that the attacks are taking place. The Pentagon concurred, saying such attacks have been going on “for several days.”
During the past several days, there has not been a single report out of Ukraine of an artillery strike against any of their military bases, anywhere in the country. The last such incident was two weeks ago, when rebels fired a BM-21 grad at a military base.
And this is Ukraine we’re talking about, which comes up with its own dubious stories of Russian attacks on a near daily basis. If Russia was carried out concerted shelling against Ukrainian military targets, Ukraine would be harping on about it constantly. They aren’t even alleging anything close to that is happening.
Despite the conclusion by US intelligence that there is no evidence of Russian involvement in the destruction of the Malaysian airliner and all lives onboard, Washington is escalating the crisis and shepherding it toward war.
Twenty-two US senators have introduced into the 113th Congress, Second Session, a bill, S.2277, “To prevent further Russian aggression toward Ukraine and other sovereign states in Europe and Eurasia, and for other purposes.” https://beta.congress.gov/113/bills/s2277/BILLS-113s2277is.pdf The bill is before the Committee on Foreign Relations.
Note that prior to any evidence of any Russian aggression, there are already 22 senators lined up in behalf of preventing further Russian aggression.
This was probably someone innocently testing his new toy, but can we rule out a test-run of something nefarious, in light of Seattle Police Department request that people not use their cell phones for social media during this coming Saturday's annual Torchlight Parade?
Now it is the year 2014. Now the western powers have a new villain to demonize. That is Vladamir Putin the President of Russia. He is a real enemy to the banking establishment of the west. The same Bankers own most of all media in newsprint, radio and television. They control the information they broadcast to the listeners and viewers. Now you can see why the media with the government is demonizing President Putin calling him a tyrant,a Nazi and a Dictator because they are accusing him of being the very thing the west is now trying to discredit him because he is a threat to the power structure of the globalist. Russia forming the B.R.I.C.S alliance is a rival to the western monopoly which can bring the system down.
I might be wrong about this solution to Washington arrogance. For those thinking about making the journey north. If there are reports being locked down in a building under quarantine because the people they went along with have symptoms of Tuberculosis. Since they are exposed being around a carrier. it might take months before they see day light might make them think twice before they take the trip north.
Two police officers who used excessive force against a prisoner in 2009 have been fired. Two others have been punished as well. The Seabrook, NH incident was caught on camera and the video was released by the victim in January 2014.
Michael Bergeron posted the video to YouTube, which depicts cops from the small New England town slamming a local man face-first into a cinder block wall as they attempt to move him down the corridor of a jail facility. A surveillance camera near the scene of the incident also caught one officer discharging his pepper-spray at the man while he is on the ground and just barely out of sight. Bergeron, who was 19 at the time of the incident, wrote in the video description that he was the prisoner who was attacked.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Thursday Turkey would push for Israel to be tried at an international criminal court if it kept up its assault on Gaza and he accused the Jewish state of “spitting blood.”
Stuart Littlewood reminds us that long before Hamas’s rockets closed Ben-Gurion airport – itself built on stolen land – Israel had destroyed Gaza’s airport, built with international aid and destroyed without a whimper.
Whenever the Israeli army drafts the reserves — which are made up of ex-soldiers — there are dissenters, resisters, and AWOLers among the troops called to war. Now that Israel has sent troops to Gaza again and reserves are being summoned to service, dozens are refusing to take part.
"If I was an Arab leader I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal, we took their land. It is true that God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we come and we have stolen their country. Why should they accept that?"
That statement -- which would certainly outrage the current government of Israel and most of its supporters -- was made by David Ben Gurion (1886-1973), revered as the father of the State of Israel.
So of course local law enforcement is getting in on the action as well. Take the police in Washington D.C., for instance, who are featured in a Washington Post story detailing how they invent armed robbery plans whole-cloth and then recruit civilians to join up shortly before arresting these future-criminals.
Big retailers, including Amazon, have been lobbying long and hard for it, and now the Internet sales tax is back after being quietly reintroduced in the US Senate last week.
The Marketplace and Internet Tax Fairness Act would force customers to pay sales taxes for online purchases from out-of-state online merchants, and it forces online retailers to collect and remit separately sales taxes to all US territories...
Sometime this summer, probably when as many Americans as possible are tanning on a beach and not paying attention, the White House is expected to release a version of a classified report on torture during the Bush years. Actually, what's likely to become public is only the executive summary of the Senate Intelligence Committee's report; the entire thing, five years in the making, clocks in at about 6,700 pages, making it the most exhaustive account yet of what really went on in secret CIA prisons around the world.
A majority of the 100 executed inmates examined in a new study by three legal researchers had “a severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder or psychosis.” Yet, because of an oddity in the Supreme Court’s death penalty cases, it is typically constitutional under existing precedents to execute people with these illnesses.
This title is on purpose misleading and incorrect. THERE WAS NO CROSSFIRE. Israel just bombed it.
Israeli tank shells hit a compound housing a U.N. school in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing at least 15 people and wounding dozens who were seeking shelter from fierce clashes on the streets outside, Palestinian officials said, as Israel pressed forward with its 17-day war against the territory's Hamas rulers.

The Federal Communications Commission received more than 1 million public comments on the issue of net neutrality during a five-month commenting period that ended Friday.
It's the biggest public response the FCC has ever gotten on a policy matter in such a short period, and the second most commented-upon FCC issue, period. It ranks just behind the 1.4 million complaints received after Janet Jackson's Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction, which isn't a direct comparison because those were spontaneous comments unrelated to a rule-making matter.
For decades, conservatives have served as stalwart defenders of police forces. There have been many good reasons for this, including long memories of the post-countercultural crime wave that devastated, and in some cases destroyed, many American cities; conservatives’ penchant for law and order; and Americans’ widely shared disdain for the cops’ usual opponents.
Americans receive rhetoric that Hamas threatens destruction of Israel, but without substantiation of this damning claim. This claim is often linked to Iran. In support of Israel’s war on Gaza, US Senate Resolution 498: “Whereas Hamas is a United States-designated terrorist organization whose charter calls for the destruction of the State of Israel...” Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Consul General Aharoni demonize Hamas on US television repeatedly, emphasizing Hamas intent to destroy Israel.
Israeli leadership continuously claims that Iran threatens to “wipe Israel off the map.” You may recall US presidential candidate Mitt Romney claimed making the same claim, joining previous Bush Administration leadership, Obama, McCain, Sarah Palin, Vice President Joe Biden (with three video clips of total 5-minutes to see and hear for yourself), Mrs. Clinton, Romney, Gingrich, Santorum, Bachmann, Perry, Huntsman (2-minute video to see and hear).
When a grandfather fighting cancer was told he would be evicted from the home he had been paying mortgage payments for for more than 20 years, he made a short, desperate video appealing for help and put it on the internet.
Currently, the world is facing a number of problems, politically, socially and economically. While we may be paying attention to important stories such as the Islamic State’s movements in Iraq and the ongoing fighting in the Gaza Strip which are extremely important, there are dealings being made behind our backs of which we know virtually nothing about. There are major international trade deals in the works and the government seems to be getting prepared for the fallout...
