Putin warns Israel on possible lethal arms delivery to Kiev

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned Israel against a possible supply of lethal weapons to the Ukrainian government, following Moscow’s decision to deliver S-300 surface-to-air missile system to Iran.

He issued the warning in an interview aired on Rossiya 1 TV on Saturday, saying that the move by Tel Aviv would be “counterproductive” and “only cause a new round of hostility.”

“The death toll would rise, but the result would not change,” Russia Today quoted the Russian leader as saying.

The remarks came after some Israeli politicians suggested that the regime might send lethal weapons to Ukraine in retaliation for Russia’s planned supply of S-300 missile system to Iran.

Germany Seeks Compensation for $57M Holocaust Fraud

Ever since the world’s leading Holocaust charity discovered a massive insider fraud in 2009, its leaders have insisted that German taxpayers, rather than needy Holocaust survivors, had to foot the bill.

But a letter obtained by the Forward suggests that politicians within the German Parliament want the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany to compensate for the $57 million that was lost.

In the December 2014 letter, Matthias Hass, of Germany’s ministry of finance, stresses Germany’s “requirement” that the Claims Conference “makes repayments to compensate for the financial damage arising from the cases of fraud.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, a Holocaust "Charity" defrauds the German government out of $57 million, but wants German taxpayers to carry the loss rather than return the ill-gotten gains?

That sounds about par for the course.

Did the Senate just blow up the Iran nuclear deal?

Too many cooks spoil the broth, and that appears to be precisely what the Senate had in mind. Not just Israel’s friends in Congress, but the preponderance of the liberal foreign policy establishment worries that Obama has sacrificed urgent national security concerns out of personal ambition or sentiment. Steadfast Obama supporters like the Times’ Thomas Friedman expressed grave reservations, and the elders of the Republican establishment, Henry Kissinger and George Shultz, authored an extraordinary joint statement published April 7 in the Wall Street Journal. 39 Senators and 447 Congressmen signed a letter to the Islamic Republic of Iran warning that a future administration might void the present deal.

Lets stop with the Auschwitz lies

This is a factual list of facilities available to prisoners at the alleged Nazi death camp of Auschwitz in Poland.

Most of these facilities can still be seen in the camp today, including the cinema, swimming pool, hospital, library and post office.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Nazi German camps were factory operations where the inmates made war materials for the German army, a parallel to the booming prison-labor industry in the United States Today. But at the end of WW2, the planners of Israel faced a major problem. The world had just united against Germany on the principle that one nation does not have a right to simply march into another nation and take it for their own use, which is exactly what the planners of Israel wanted to do to Palestine. Israel needed a propaganda weapon so powerful that all the world's nation that had sacrificed so much blood and treasure would be convinced that what Germany could not be allowed to do to Poland and France, Israel had to be allowed to do to Palestine. So using Jewish-controlled media, slave-labor facilities became death camps, delousing became gassing, shower rooms became gas chambers, deaths from typhus epidemics became extermination, and one of the greatest lies ever told was born.

BEX ALERT - Preserving the Ghastly Inventory of Auschwitz

Webmaster's Commentary:

READER COMMENT: On my visit I wish they would have preserved more. Entering the main gate is the brothel building and one of the libraries. It is not labeled. Inmates were given Auschwitz script for working and they could use it at the brothel and canteen. Again not labeled. I saw the site where one of the 3 Jewish orchestras played. The kitchens that cooked and fed the prisoners were not labeled. They showed me a gas chamber with the original wood door and glass window. Apparently the Jews were obedient and didn’t want to destroy the glass or they could have escaped. The swimming pool for the inmates is inside the fence but you can’t see it unless you know where to look because the windows of the adjoining buildings have been blacked out. I saw the hospital where inmates were given the finest medical treatment and if need an outside specialist was called in. The soccer field where the inmates played was still there. One of the most interesting buildings was where mainly Jewish “detainees” gave plays, concerts, and other programs. There is so much more I hope they preserve but accurately label. The displays of shoes, glasses, suitcases, etc. are fake. They are on a platform at a 45 degree angle. There is nothing below, just one top layer but they want to give the impression that it is full.

Hail to the Chief

Republicans haven’t just rejected President Obama. They have adopted Benjamin Netanyahu as their leader.

Last month, at the unilateral invitation of Republicans, and against the will of a Democratic president, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress. He argued for a foreign policy that matched the views of congressional Republicans, not the views of the U.S. administration. Many people, including me, were taken aback by this overt alliance between the U.S. opposition party and the prime minister of another country. But a Bloomberg Politics poll released this week shows that the alliance is deeply rooted. Republicans haven’t just rejected Obama. They have adopted Netanyahu as their leader.

Israel’s Nuclear Weapons Program; The Former Soviet Union As America’s New Frontier

Since Hillary Clinton announced without any surprise that she was running for president, it is worth taking a look at her record. As U.S. Secretary of State during the conflict between Russia and Georgia, Clinton claimed that the U.S. was committed to “Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” and that the “United States does not recognize spheres of influence.”

In the meantime she was pushing for the military integration of countries from the former Soviet Union with NATO. Rick Rozoff commented at the time: “Despite Clinton’s claim to the contrary, the United States most decidedly recognizes spheres of influence. In its own hemisphere – the entirety of it – in the South Caucasus and everywhere else on the planet.”

Also in the double standard category, Washington is applying sanctions on Iran for its non existent nuclear weapons, even though the Pentagon has “officially” recognized that Israel is a nuclear power.

Op-Ed: Attack Now – Russian Interference Leaves Israel No Choice

The Obama Doctrine – scorn your friends, reward your enemies – has finally reaped the whirlwind, namely Russia and its pledge to provide Iran with an array of the most advanced “defensive” missiles on earth. This leaves Israel with no choice except to act BEFORE those missiles are deployed.

Israel must attack to remove those nukes before it’s too late.

If it was difficult to successfully strike Iran’s nuclear facilities today, tomorrow will be near impossible.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I was worried that Russia's sending defensive missiles to Iran might provoke this reaction.

I would like to remind everyone of three important facts before a lot of people die in yet another war.

1. Israel was at the forefront of screaming that Iraq had nuclear weapons, and bombed Iraq's nuclear power station at Osirak under the claim that it concealed a clandestine bomb factory similar to the one Israel maintains under Dimona. Following the 2003 invasion of Iraq (again supported by Israeli claims of nuclear weapons) experts examined the ruins of Osirak and found no evidence of a weapons facility, nor has any evidence to support Israel and the US' claim that Iraq had nuclear weapons ever been found. Israel has a very poor record of accuracy in knowing who does or does not have nuclear weapons, other than their own.

2. Iran has not launched a war of aggression against another country in over 200 years, standing in sharp contrast with Israel, which these days cannot seem to go six months without attacking one of their neighbors.

3. Iran has signed and ratified the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, So has the United States. Everything Iran is doing with nuclear power is allowed to them under that treaty. Recently declassified US documents support the conclusions from earlier documents released by South Africa, and Mordechai Vanunu's photos of the Dimona weapons factory. Israel does have nuclear weapons, has had them since the 1970s, including hydrogen bombs. Israel refuses to sign the NNPT or allow IAEA inspections. IN short, Iran is playing by the rules. Israel is not.

Iran is not going to attack Israel. The result would be Iran melted down into a giant glowing slab of green glass. What the Russian missiles do is make it impossible for Israel to bully Iran, or attack it to remove an economic rival, as Netanyahu himself admitted to only last week.

Christopher Bollyn on “Solving 9/11 ends the war” on Kevin Barrett’s Truth Jihad Radio (audio)

On this day in history, April 15th, 1912, the Titanic sank. Today’s guest Christopher Bollyn, author of Solving 9/11, says the American ship of state is sailing towards doom – and the only way to turn it around is by facing the truth about 9/11.

Christopher just returned to his home in Europe after a “Solving 9/11 Ends the War” speaking tour in the US. (I will be speaking in some of the same venues during next week’s We Are NOT Charlie Hebdo book tour.) We discuss America’s, and the world’s, gradual awakening to the truth about 9/11 – and the possibility that Netanyahu and the neocons could launch another huge false flag to torpedo the Iran nuclear agreement and cover their 9/11 tracks via a wider war that could go global and nuclear.

BEX Alert!!! - "Germany's response to Nazism on trial as man, 93, faces 300,000 charges"

BERLIN — Nearly 70 years after World War II ended in Europe with Nazi Germany's surrender on May 7, 1945, what's likely to be the final criminal chapter of that horrific period is about to unfold in a small German town.

Beginning next Tuesday, Oskar Groening, who's better known as "the accountant of Auschwitz," goes on trial for what in any other context would seem an impossible crime: 300,000 counts of accessory to murder.

Innocence is not really an issue, though guilt will be: Groening has freely admitted that he stood on the unloading ramps of the most infamous of the Nazi death camps and counted the cash confiscated from the Hungarian Jews who spilled out of the box cars, headed for selection. What the court will decide is whether that made him an accessory to their murders in Auschwitz's gas chambers.

US, Israel OK'd Saudi war on Yemen: Iran defense min.

Iran’s defense minister says the Saudi aggression against Yemen has been authorized by the United States and the Israeli regime, calling for an immediate end to the deadly assaults.

Addressing the Fourth Moscow International Security Conference on Thursday, Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said the Saudi government unleashed deadly air raids against Yemen once it received the green light from the United States and Israel, and was promised military cooperation by some regional states.

S-300 missile system serves defense purposes for Iran: Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has defended Moscow’s recent decision to deliver S-300 air defense system to Iran, saying the system is meant for deterrence amid the developments in war-torn Yemen.

He made the remarks during his annual televised question-and-answer session with the nation at Gostiny Dvor (Merchant Yard) exhibition hall in the Russian capital city of Moscow on Thursday.

“This is a defensive weapons system. More than that, considering the situation that is building up in the region, especially regarding the incidents in Yemen, we think that the delivery of this kind of weapon is a preventive factor,” Putin said.

The comments come as Yemen has been the scene of deadly aerial assaults by Saudi Arabia since March 26. The attacks have so far killed some 2,600 people, according to Yemeni sources.

‘No end to sanctions, no agreement’: Iran sticks to nuclear deal demands

There’ll be no deal on Tehran’s nuclear program without the simultaneous lifting of all sanctions against Iran, President Hassan Rouhani stressed, echoing an earlier statement by Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

"If there is no end to sanctions, there will not be an agreement," Rouhani said in a televised speech in the northern Iranian city of Rasht. "The end of these negotiations and a signed deal must include a declaration of cancelling the oppressive sanctions on the great nation of Iran."

Webmaster's Commentary:

BEX Alert!!! - "Defying death in the Holocaust for a sister"

Suzanna Braun, who experienced the horrors of the Holocaust and defied death at least three times, believes she survived because of her determination to save her sister -- and some divine intervention.

The first time she beat death was sheer luck.

Suzanna was just two weeks shy of 16 when she, her sister Agi and her parents were rounded up in their hometown of Kosice, in what is now Slovakia, and sent to the Polish death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. . .

. . . Locked behind a steel door with soap in their hands, some women waited for water. Others, who had heard the rumours, began panicking.

It was only when the doors opened they realised they had cheated death.

"They were out of gas," she told AFP in an interview as Israel began marking Holocaust memorial day and 70 years since the end of the war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Posted in response to a listener call on today's radio show. This list was compiled to underscore the fact that the only common element in all these historical events is how the Jewish people treated the larger community around them. Maybe Israel, instead of constantly blaming Christians or Muslims for their hardships, ought to look in a mirror at how they themselves behave.

Ed Miliband And The Jews

Just a few month ago, in a speech in front of the Labour Friends Of Israel Lobby group, Ed Miliband - the Labour party’s current leader, produced one of the most embarrassing in the history of modern British politics:

“I want you to know”, Miliband told The Lobby, “that if I become Prime Minister in less than a year’s time, I will be proud to do so as a friend of Israel, a Jew and, most of all, someone who feels so proud to be part of the community gathered here today.” (http://press.labour.org.uk/post/89056233474/ed-miliband-speech-to-labo...)

Debunking the "The Saudis did 9-11" nonsense!

Remember that Saudi Arabia was being framed for 9-11 right from the start. One of the accused hijackers, a Saudi Pilot named Saeed Al-Ghamdi, was still alive after 9-11 and sued the US Government for defaming him.

And finally, here is some common sense that totally undermines the attempt to frame Saudi Arabia for 9-11. If Saudi Arabia really wanted to hurt the United States, they don't need to fly airplanes into skyscrapers to do it. All they have to do is ask for their money back, all at once. The resulting damage to the US financial system would make 9-11 look like a minor inconvenience in comparison.

And it would be perfectly legal for Saudi Arabia to ask for their money back.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Reposted in response to the renewed push to blame the Saudis for 9-11.

ZION’S PATHETIC ATTEMPT TO SAVE THEIR ‘WAYWARD YOUTH’

zionism finds itself in a dilemma these days as more Jewish youth, especially university students. get involved in the BDS Movement and other progressive outlets.

Rather than change their policies, they prefer to attack those against them, much like the tactics used in the recent Israeli Election campaign, there were no issues raised but there were many attacks against opposing Parties and candidates.

In this video, zionists pathetically attempt to save their ‘wayward youth’.

It is a genuine act of desperation ...

A Reckless Act in the Senate on Iran

Congress has formally muscled its way into President Obama’s negotiations with Iran, creating new and potentially dangerous uncertainties for an agreement that offers the best chance of restraining that country’s nuclear program.

With a unanimous vote on Tuesday, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved a bill that would require Congress to review, and then vote on, the final text of a nuclear deal. It would also prohibit Mr. Obama from waiving economic sanctions on Iran — the crucial element of any agreement under which Iran rolls back its nuclear program — for at least 30 days, and up to 52 days, after signing an agreement so Congress has time to weigh in.

The full Senate and the House will have to approve the bill. But the committee’s action gives momentum to those who have bitterly criticized Mr. Obama for negotiating with Iran, though they offer no credible alternative to the preliminary deal on the table.

Israel cheers as Obama retreats before Congress on Iran deal

Israel said it is pleased with a compromise bill being floated on the Hill, which would give US legislators oversight in the Iran nuclear deal. The White House agreed to the bill adopted by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

"We are certainly happy this morning, this is an achievement for Israeli policy... [Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's] speech in Congress ... was decisive in achieving this law, which is a very important element in preventing a bad deal, or at least, in improving the agreement and making it more reasonable," Yuval Steinitz, Netanyahu’s intelligence, foreign relations and strategic minister, told Israel Radio.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." -- Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, October 3, 2001, reported on Kol Ysrael radio

Marco Rubio and AIPAC allied in effort to insert poison pill into Iran deal

Marco Rubio just announced for president in a call to donors. First things first.

Rubio has his foreign-policy priorities down, too. He wants to insert a poison pill into the Iran deal:

Sen. Marco Rubio wants to make Iran recognize Israel’s right to exist as a condition of any nuclear agreement with Tehran.

The Florida Republican has floated his proposal as a possible amendment to a Senate bill written by Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) that would allow Congress to disapprove of any deal…

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran's deal is not with the US Government, it is with the international community. Congress has no authority over that community or the United Nations, which organized the P5+1. Congress, willing to allow the President to start wars and murder people on his own whims, is suddenly demanding oversight on a peace agreement, with the clear Israel-ordered agenda of killing the deal. But Congress can only kill the deal for the US, not the other nations. If the rest of the P5+1 agree to the deal, with the Congress being the lone holdout, the world will see the US as the rogue nation, acting once again as Israel's slave-state to start and fight Israel's wars.

How Israel’s Dimona nuclear reactor was concealed from the U.S. – Ha’aretz

Many of the details surrounding Israel’s nuclear story have already been revealed through research and via the declassification of secret information [first by author Stephen Green’s books], including information released by the U.S. government – but there was more to be mined. Nuclear history researchers Avner Cohen, and Bill Burr are releasing a new trove of old documents this week on the Website of the National Security Archive of George Washington University in Washington, providing new angles on the story. Two of them are especially eyebrow-lifting: The role played by Richard Kerry, (the father of current U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry) and the story behind the birth of the tale that the Dimona reactor was ‘only’ a textile factory.

This weekend, a report revealing that African women immigrating to Israel were subjected to mandatory contraceptive injections, effectively amounting to forced (if temporary) sterilization made global headlines.

Some 130,000 Ethiopians, most of them Jewish, live in Israel. The community experiences higher poverty and unemployment rates than the rest of the country’s Jewish population. In the past decade, the birth rate among Ethiopian-Israelis has declined by at least 20 percent. Advocacy groups now claim this decline is the result of a birth control regimen forced upon Ethiopian immigrant women.

UK High Court backs shutdown of Israel conference

The High Court in London on Tuesday upheld the decision of the University of Southampton to cancel at the last minute an academic conference related to Israel, after speakers were deemed “controversial” by critics.

How Zionists Are Destroying Free Speech In Universities

An academic conference, International Law and the State of Israel: Legitimacy, Responsibility and Exceptionalism, was due to start this Friday but the University of Southampton - citing spurious ‘health and safety’ concerns -cancelled it, following intense pressure from the pro-Israel lobby. Despite many academics writing to the university expressing their dismay and a petitionwhich garnered wide public support, an application at the High Court yesterday denied organisers a judicial review and the conference has now beenpostponed indefinitely. While an outrageous affront to freedom of speech, Southampton’s capitulation to external pressure is not hugely surprising. The Israel lobby has a long history of censorship, including in universities, which are no longer bastions of free speech.

The few prophetic voices we have, like Gideon Levy, will continue to remind us of the false prophets who have led us into the darkness.

As part of his mission, Levy came to Washington last week to speak at the National Press Club.

Levy came to Washington with the simple message that change in the situation between Israel and it neighbors will have to come from the U.S. He feels that Israel is a “lost case”. He sees three principles which allow “Israelis to live easily with the brutal tyranny that is the occupation”.

The Young Turk movement, AKA Committee of Union and Progress, arose out of the Rothschilds’ oil interests in the Black Sea area of the Ottoman Empire in the late 1800s. ‘Creating stability’ in an incendiary realm was necessary for the Rothschilds’ new oil enterprise Baku Oil. The instability of the Armenian Christians’ financial and intellectual prominence in the area was not “good for business.” . . .

German anti-Israeli writer, Günter Grass, dies at 87

Germany’s respected author and noble winning novelist, Günter Grass, known for his sharp criticism of Israel and those supporting the Tel Aviv regime, has died at the age of 87.

Germany’s Steidl publishing house announced Monday that Grass died at a hospital in the northern city of Lübeck.

Best known for his 1959 novel The Tin Drum, the German author won many international awards, with the most notable of them the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1999.

Many still continue to relish the novels, poems and stories written by Grass, especially those created in his 80s, but the mustached literary icon took to the headlines by lashing out at Israel over the regime’s continuous spread of hatred and fear in the Middle East and the world.

In his famous poem entitled “What Must Be Said” ("Was gesagt werden muss"), which was published in several prestigious European newspapers in 2012, Grass called the Tel Aviv regime the greatest threat to the peace in the world.

But the truth is that the Israelites never set foot in Egypt or Palestine. Actually they never left Ancient Arabia and North Yemen, their origin land, before the Babylonian Captivity” . . .

. . . The question here; why a purportedly Islamist organization want to destroy ancient Assyrian and Babylonia artifacts. Islamic laws don’t ban sculpture per se (most Islamic countries have museums packed with statues) but only prohibits worshiping idols as used to be during pagan cultures. Everybody knew that neither Assyrian nor Babylonian ancient idols/statues were honored or worshipped by modern day Iraqis or Syrians. Still that did not deter ISIL from destroying the ancient statues, cuneiform tablets and artifacts.

Yemen war, beginning of ominous plot to divide Saudi Arabia: Iran diplomat

A senior Iranian diplomat has warned against the fallout of Saudi Arabia’s illegal military campaign against Yemen, saying it is a conspiracy that aims to disintegrate Saudi Arabia.

“The enemies of the [Middle East] region are unfortunately trying to disintegrate and weaken Saudi Arabia, and the aggression against Yemen and its consequences are the start point of this ominous plot,” Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday.

He called on the United States to stop pursuing dual policies in the Middle East and recommended Saudi Arabia to stop counting on Washington’s help in Yemen.

The Iranian diplomat warned that the continuation of Saudi aggression against Yemen would lead to “inevitable consequences," adding that Saudi Arabia is playing with regional security by attacking Yemen.

German court shuts down anti-Israel exhibition

A German court has shut down a long-standing anti-Israel exhibition in the western city of Cologne, accusing its organizer of anti-Semitism and glorification of violence.

The German municipal court said the permanent exhibit, which displayed numerous pictures of the Palestinian children who were killed and injured during the Israeli regime’s bloody offensive against Gaza last summer, violates a law designed to protect minors.

Walter Hermann, the organizer of the exhibit, has protested for years against Israel with his exhibit dubbed the “Cologne Wailing Wall.”

Hermann, 76, whose anti-Israel campaign is named “Peace Demonstration,” told the German Express newspaper that the wanted to draw public attention to Israeli policies against Palestinian people.

Islamic State group destroys ancient ruins of Nimrud

Islamic State militants hammered, bulldozed and ultimately blew up parts of the ancient Iraqi Assyrian city of Nimrud, destroying a site dating back to the 13th century BC, an online militant video purportedly shows.

The destruction at Nimrud, located near the militant-held city of Mosul, follows other attacks on antiquity carried out by the group now holding a third of Iraq and neighbouring Syria in its self-declared caliphate.

Obama: Netanyahu has not offered alternative to Iran deal

US president criticizes prime minister for opposing deal without providing an alternative that 'makes it less likely for Iran to get a nuclear weapon'.

"The Prime Minister of Israel is deeply opposed to it, I think he’s made that very clear. I have repeatedly asked - what is the alternative that you present that you think makes it less likely for Iran to get a nuclear weapon? And I have yet to obtain a good answer on that that."

Netanyahu expressed concern that Iranian compliance with the agreement will lull the world into complacency over the bomb threat, according to officials.

Iran cannot be trusted, Netanyahu warns

"To my regret, all of the things I warned about vis-a-vis the framework agreement that was put together in Lausanne are coming true before our eyes," Netanyahu said.

"This framework gives the leading terrorist state in the world a certain path to nuclear bombs," he warned.

"How can such a country be trusted?"

The emerging deal, which is to be finalised by June 30, would leave Iran with "significant nuclear capabilities," he said.

"It is not dismantling them, it is preserving them. We also see that the inspection is not serious... As of now, there is no monitoring," he said.

"We see that the sanctions are being lifted, immediately, according to Iran's demand, and this is without Iran having changed its policy of aggression everywhere."

“Peacenik” former Israeli Prime Minister says “Bomb Iran Now”

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak went on CNBC on Wednesday and said that the U.S. should deliver Iran an ultimatum it could never accept and then unleash a bombing blitzkreig. The ultimatum, that Iran should dismantle its entire nuclear program, would simply be a formality to provide cover for naked aggression.

With the declassification by the United States government of the report entitled “Critical Technological Assessment in Israel and NATO Nations” which gives a detailed description of how Israel developed its nuclear infrastructure, the U.S. now openly admits that Israel possesses nuclear weapons. Israel is not a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty and refuses to comply with the International Atomic Energy Agency regulations and inspections of Israeli nuclear facilities, we the people of the United States demand that the U.S. abide by the Symington Amendment and the Glenn Amendment (Section 102 of the Arms Export Control Act) which prohibits the U.S. government from providing taxpayer treasuries to nuclear armed non signatories. Cease all US foreign aid until Israel abides by the NPT.

The Dönmeh: The Middle East’s Most Whispered Secret (Part I)

Israel has always been reluctant to describe the Turkish massacre of the Armenians by the Turks in 1915 as “genocide.” It has always been believed that the reason for Israel’s reticence was not to upset Israel’s close military and diplomatic ties with Turkey. However, more evidence is being uncovered that the Armenian genocide was largely the work of the Dönmeh leadership of the Young Turks. Historians like Ahmed Refik, who served as an intelligence officer in the Ottoman army, averred that it was the aim of the Young Turks to destroy the Armenians, who were mostly Christian. The Young Turks, under Ataturk’s direction, also expelled Greek Christians from Turkish cities and attempted to commit a smaller-scale genocide of the Assyrians, who were also mainly Christian.

Israeli seizure of Palestinian tax revenues is “collective punishment”

A new report by a Palestinian human rights group has slammed Israel’s practice of withholding tax revenues from the Palestinian Authority.

As part of agreements signed under the Oslo accords, Israel collects taxes from Palestinians in the West Bank and is supposed to then transfer the monies to the PA.

But in December, when the PA announced it would join the International Criminal Court, Israel began withholding the revenues as a punishment. At the end of March, it agreed to resume transfers, and send back the monies it had accumulated.

But on Sunday, the PA announced it was paying it back to Israel, because they had not been given the full amount. Israel reportedly deducted one-third of the amount to pay off alleged PA debts to Israeli utility corporations.

Ex-Israeli PM to US: Give Iran 'or else' ultimatum

Barak said he would rather see a peacefully negotiated end to Iran's nuclear threat.

But since the announcement last week of a framework of a deal between Iran and the U.S. and its negotiating partners—Russia, China, France, the U.K. and Germany—there have been conflicting accounts of the extent of the agreement and what it means for the chances of reaching a final accord by the end of June.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We are getting into a real Kafka situation here. Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapons program. Nobody has found any evidence to suggest that they do (although with the US and Israel attacking anyone who doesn't have a nuclear deterrent one could hardly fault Iran for wanting one).

Israel has been screaming that Iran is within weeks of having a nuclear weapon since the 1980s and it hasn't happened yet.

Meanwhile a recently declassified US document confirms that the US Government has known that Israel has had nuclear weapons since the 1970s, numbering in the hundreds, including Hydrogen bombs the US helped Israel develop. Israel (which has not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and does not allow IAEA inspections) has so many nuclear weapons that they offered to sell one to the former government of South Africa; the very activity the NNPT is intended to prevent.

Maybe Israel is simply projecting their own guilt onto others, sort of a "It's okay for us to do it because everyone is doing it" attitude. Maybe after forty years they believe their own propaganda. Or maybe, as Netanyahu recently revealed, Israel knows Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapons program, but the goal is to destroy Iran as a regional political and economic rival to Israel, with US kids in uniform doing the dirty work (as happened in Iraq).

But as nuclear-armed Israel hysterically shrieks about how much danger they face from non-nuclear Iran, keep one thing in mind. Iran has not invaded another nation in a war of aggression in over 200 years; a track record of peace standing in stark contrast to Israel and the US, which these days cannot seem to go six months without invading, drone-striking, or overthrowing other nations.

“Greater Israel”: The Zionist Plan for the Middle East

According to the founding father of Zionism Theodore Herzl, “the area of the Jewish State stretches: “From the Brook of Egypt to the Euphrates.” According to Rabbi Fischmann, “The Promised Land extends from the River of Egypt up to the Euphrates, it includes parts of Syria and Lebanon.”

When viewed in the current context, the war on Iraq, the 2006 war on Lebanon, the 2011 war on Libya, the ongoing war on Syria, not to mention the process of regime change in Egypt, must be understood in relation to the Zionist Plan for the Middle East. The latter consists in weakening and eventually fracturing neighboring Arab states as part of an Israeli expansionist project.

“Greater Israel” consists in an area extending from the Nile Valley to the Euphrates.

The war on Yemen appears to have been choreographed, by encouraging the Houthis to oust the former regime, with the express intention of creating conflict. It is a pattern which repeats time and time again, most recently with the creation and support of Islamic State (IS, ISIL, ISIS) by Israel, US and their allies including Saudi Arabia. The outcome will, yet again, be chaos and mayhem.

A year-and-a-half ago, several residents of Cambridge, Somerville and the surrounding area began conversations with the management of TAGS Hardware in Porter Square in order to share information with the retailer about the growing international boycott of SodaStream products.

SodaStream, which manufactures home carbonation systems for sparkling beverages, has built its factory in the Jewish-only Israeli settlement Ma’aleh Adumim in the occupied West Bank, where more than 40,000 Israeli settlers live on land expropriated from several Palestinian farming villages and from Bedouin communities. The settlement, which is off-limits to Palestinians unless they obtain permits, effectively blocks Palestinians in much of the West Bank from access to Jerusalem. And, like the 120 other Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, it is deemed illegal under international law.

Iran news report: Tehran will start using fastest centrifuges on day deal takes effect

Iran will begin using its latest generation IR-8 centrifuges as soon as its nuclear deal with the world powers goes into effect, Iran’s foreign minister and nuclear chief told members of parliament on Tuesday, according to Iran’s semi-official FARS news agency.

If accurate, the report appears to make a mockery of the world powers’ much-hailed framework agreement with Iran, since such a move clearly breaches the US-published terms of the deal, and would dramatically accelerate Iran’s potential progress to the bomb.

Letter to a Court Historian about Forrestal’s Death

H.L. Mencken aptly called them “the timorous eunuchs who posture as American historians.” That was in 1920, but little has changed. It might be a freshly minted Ph.D. from TCU, teaching at a backwater university in Texas like Matthew A. McNiece, or the man often described as the foremost historian of the Cold War, Yale history professor John Lewis Gaddis, but the fake authoritativeness and the real pusillanimity are at least as evident today as they were in Mencken’s day. That is certainly the case when it comes to their writing about the very important subject of the violent death of the U.S. government’s leading opponent of the creation of the state of Israel, Secretary of Defense James Forrestal.

AIPAC: The Israeli Lobby

The United States supports Israel in a variety of ways. We give them all sorts of military and economic support, roughly 3 billion dollars a year. Israel, despite the fact it is a relatively rich country, receives more foreign aid than any other other country in the world. We veto resolutions in the United Nations all the time that are critical to Israel. Is one allowed to question that reality, or is the pro-Israel lobby so strong, financially and politically, that the relationship with Israel is taboo and therefore unmentionable? And what happens to those who dare expose the unmentionable?

AIPAC's "No One Wants War" in Iran Claim Debunked

The problem with saying “no one wants war” is of course that some people do want war. These include some congressional critics, some Israeli officials, some in the pro-Israel movement and some of Iran’s Sunni Arab neighbors. None acts as a monolith, but their beautiful diversity definitely includes some warmongers.

AIPAC, moreover, surely knows this. Sheldon Adelson, a sometime AIPAC funder and partner who remains a major force in the “pro-Israel movement” has for example called for nuking Iran. The group’s stable of regular speakers at fundraisers and events includes several figures who have, indeed, called for war with Iran. Just consider a January AIPAC fundraiser in New York, headlined by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and former Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I/D-CT)-both of whom have at some point called for military strikes. As Lieberman once boasted, there is a “broad bipartisan base of support” for such an attack.

Israel could send Iran ‘back to the stone age’ with electromagnetic bomb

Israel could destroy Iran’s electric network with a specially designed electromagnetic bomb in the event of a military conflict between the countries, The Sunday Times reported on Sunday.

An electromagnetic bomb of this sort would be detonated above the ground, creating an electromagnetic pulse that would “disrupt all the technological devices working on the ground,” an American expert was quoted as saying to the London paper.

The use of the new technology by Israel was brought up in discussions regarding a possible attack on Tehran’s nuclear facilities, the report claimed. Such a move would send Iran “back to the stone age,” the British paper said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think this story of an electromagnetic bomb is a cover for the use of nuclear weapons by Israel against Iran. Unlike any other bomb, which destroys itself as it destroys the target, a theoretical electromagnetic bomb has to maintain its physical integrity during use. Electricity in wire travels at .2 times the speed of light. Any break in the wiring of the coils producing the magnetic field will instantly collapse that field. This limits how much power that can go into such an electromagnetic bomb as it must be able to withstand the magnetic field it produces. In the case of an EMP produced by a nuclear weapon above the atmosphere, loss of the initiating device is not an issue as the EMP is produced not by the bomb itself but by a sudden displacement of the Earth's own magnetic field.

Should Israeli nuclear bombs be inspected?

Israel is a nuclear power was the conclusion of a Department of Defense report prepared in 1987 and kept secret until its release this past March. It was brought to light through a Freedom of Information lawsuit by Grant Smith, an investigative reporter and author affiliated with the Institute for Research: Middle East Policy, who forced the release of the report, which confirms the existence of Israel's nuclear program. The actual report was prepared by the Institute for Defense Analysis, a Pentagon-funded research unit, and provides U.S.-based evidence to the advanced nature of Israel's nuclear program. According to Smith, this is the first time the U.S. government has ever provided official documentation that recognizes long-standing knowledge of the existence and extent of such a program.

The real reason Netanyahu and the GOP hate this Iran deal

1) The nuclear architecture Iran gets to keep is way too big.
2) Sanctions relief will enable Iranian aggression.
3) The deal isn't strict enough in key areas.
4) Inspections won't be as strong as you think.

The thing about some of these arguments is that they are basically objections to any feasible deal with Iran. Many critics, particularly Netanyahu, have taken pains to deny that they oppose any deal altogether — but it seems quite clearly that they do.
