Chechen girls swindle ISIS fighters for travel money

Chechen police have detained three female con artists who talked fighters of the terrorist group Islamic State into sending them money for traveling to Syria.

The young women turned the tables on Islamic State (formerly ISIS/ISIL) by using their primary recruitment tool, social media, against them. Russia’s predominantly Muslim Chechen Republic is a prime target for Islamic State propagandists, who call on young men and women to join their cause and travel to the Middle East to become join their jihadist campaign.

Rand Paul: Fraud, Failure, Liar

by Justin Raimondo, July 29, 2015 As the smoke wafted up into the already smoggy Los Angeles air, a group of young libertarians watched as Jayel Aheram burned his “Stand With Rand” t-shirts. He had two of them, a token of his former esteem for the “libertarian-ish” presidential candidate and Senator from Kentucky, whose father had inspired young Jayel to identify as a libertarian and become active in the movement. A former Marine and Iraq war veteran, the now 31-year-old Aheram had phone-banked for Rand, and enthusiastically retweeted the Senator’s pronouncements on Twitter. He had even forked out $35 for those T-shirts – and now they were going up in flames as he and a group of young libertarians sat on the roof of Jayel’s Los Angeles apartment, drinking beer and glumly contemplating what had brought them – all former supporters of Rand Paul’s presidential campaign – to this point. As Charles Davis writes over at MondoWeiss:

A "No-Fly Zone" By Any Other Name - The "ISIL-Free Zone" In Syria

By Brandon Turbeville

As the NATO Article 4 meeting concludes with little or no fanfare and no major decisions made regarding a “no-fly zone” over Syria, many onlookers may take the opportunity to sit back in satisfaction that the meeting was concluded without any announcement of further direct military involvement in Syrian affairs. For many, the lackluster meeting was simply more proof that Turkey and the United States will not attempt a frontal assault on the Middle Eastern country.

Unfortunately, however, the big decision was not made at the NATO Article 4 meeting, it was made bilaterally days before between Turkey and the United States...

Saudi warplanes hit allied Yemeni militants by mistake, kill 12

At least 12 militants loyal to fugitive former Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi were killed when Saudi military aircraft mistakenly struck the positions of pro-Riyadh forces in Yemen’s southwestern province of Lahij.

Yemeni military sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Saudi fighter jets conducted airstrikes on hills overlooking the al-Anad air base near the city of al-Houta, located about 30 kilometers (20 miles) from the strategic southern port city of Aden, on Monday, leaving 12 militants killed and at least 30 others wounded.

The development came on the same day as Saudi warplanes carried out three airstrikes against al-Mesaimeer district in the same Yemeni province. There were no immediate reports of possible casualties and the extent of damage inflicted.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Yeah, a mistake. And if you believe THAT one, I have some of Saddam's nuclear weapons to sell you!

Craig Murray: democracy in the UK is dysfunctional - an entrenched party system offers no real choice.

.... The major parties offer political programmes which are virtually indistinguishable. As I put it in lectures, if the range of possible political programmes were placed on a linear scale from 1 to 100, the Labour and Conservative parties offer you the choice between 81 and 84.

This exclusion of political possibility is reinforced by a corporate media structure, led by the BBC, in which ideas outside the narrow band of establishment consensus are ridiculed and denigrated. Therefore even political ideas which have the consistent support of the majority of the population, such as nationalisation of railways and other natural monopolies including utilities, simply cannot get an airing. Of all the broadcast coverage of the Iraq War, less than 3% gave time to anti-war voices, despite a majority opinion against the war.

This phenomenon explains why a large majority of both Conservative and Labour MPs are members of the Friends of Israel when public opinion consistently sympathises more with Palestine. It also explains the quite extraordinary media onslaught against Scottish independence.

US To Sell Saudis 355 Missiles to be Used in the War on Yemen

The US Defense Department has awarded major weapons maker Raytheon to provide the Persian Gulf Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with 355 air-to-ground missiles amid its persisting campaign of aerial strikes against civilian and economic targets in neighboring Yemen.

According to a Pentagon announcement cited Saturday by the Russia-based Sputnik News, in a $180-million contract assigned to the arms manufacturer, Raytheon is to deliver the AGM-154 series missiles to the Saudi regime in a move clearly regarded as a bid to support the aerial strikes against Yemen.

Peter Beinart’s Fantasy – Raimondo

Does Beinart really believe the media complex that gives the War Party a guaranteed platform suffers from amnesia? I hardly think so.

Peter Beinart asks some pretty good questions: he wants to know why the same crowd that lied us into war in Iraq isn’t completely discredited when it comes to their opposition to the recently concluded deal with Iran. No, he doesn’t put it quite that way, in part because, by his own admission, he was one of the most enthusiastic cheerleaders for what he now describes as “one of the most important, and damaging, episodes in the history of U.S. foreign policy.” He frames his question this way:

“I have a fantasy. It’s that every politician and pundit who goes on TV to discuss the Iran deal is asked this question first: ‘Did you support the Iraq War, and how has that experience informed your position?’”

Beinart is right to regard this as a fantasy, because it will never happen. Yet he fails to ask why that is.

The War on Conspiracy Realists Continues

British government under Cameron's watch has been an active and willing partner in the Machiavellian strategy of divide and rule in the Middle East spearheaded by the US and Israel.

Obama picked up where Bush left off, flooding Syrian and Libyan insurgent groups with untold largesse and arms, using the corrupted Arab Gulf kingdoms as conduits for weapons transfers for the sake of plausible deniability.

ISIS themselves have mostly eschewed hostility towards Israel, posting an official statement on social media in July 2014 saying that they’re more interested in fighting “Muslim infidels” than the Zionist state.[6]

Israeli officials have expressed similar sentiments, with Israel’s former envoy to the US,Michael Oren, stating in a September 2013 interview that Tel Aviv “prefers” ISIS and al-Qaeda over the “bad guys backed by Iran,” namely Syria’s Assad and Hezbollah.

“It’s Raining Missiles. A Nightmare that Refuses to End!” – Testimony from the War in Yemen

War is killing every beautiful thing inside us and inside our country. It is heartbreaking to lose that feeling of safety, to be in constant worry about your loved ones, to live endless terror unable to even have the slightest mean of life. Life has become a bleak vision for us, something we fantasise about. And that is how it’s like to be in a war.The air vanishes and we can listen to our hearts beating heavily as the bombardment begins, and we wonder whether it’s our turn coming up to join the victims under the ruins. The air disappears at the very thought of it. The kids shiver with great fear telling us that they don’t want to die.

US-loaned RAF personnel may be illegally striking Pakistan & Yemen, not just Syria

Fresh controversy has emerged about RAF airmen embedded in an American drone unit, which is known to be carrying out airstrikes in Syria after the charity Reprieve gained access to a joint US-UK memo.

Responding to Reprieve’s request in November, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said there were “currently” no RAF personnel embedded with the United States Air Force’s (USAF) 432nd unit based at Creech airbase in Nevada.

It now appears that the response was not given in good faith – while there may have been no personnel at Creech in November, RAF airmen have been embedded there since 2008 and are there presently.

The MoD confirmed on Wednesday there were indeed UK armed forces personnel currently at the base.

The Fine or the Crude Art of Window Dressing – Hypocrisy at its Best

It is simply tit for tat and it is part of the window dressing routine that both sides have to engage in for a long while.

In the meantime, again we are being told by the Administration officials and the mass media that Iran continues to be the world’s biggest supporter of terrorism and is busy destabilizing the region by backing the Assad regime in Syria, the Shi’a militia in Iraq, and the Houthis in Yemen.

An exchange between US Ambassador to the UN and her Iranian counterpart is another example of the post-nuclear-agreement Cold War between the United States and the Islamic Republic:

The Iranian administration, reading and hearing the foregoing rhetoric on a daily basis, is certainly not going to take all the allegations and insults without reacting in kind. Both sides must remain actively engaged in window dressing and face saving charade for some time.

British Royal Nazi Salute – a Sign of the Times

A photograph published on its front page by British tabloid newspaper The Sun has caused a storm of controversy, with the British monarchy denouncing it as an invasion of privacy. But the real significance is that the image shows how Western so-called democracies were – and still are – so close to embracing fascism.

There was a consensus among Britain’s ruling class during the 1930s that quietly but enthusiastically endorsed Hitler and fascism as a bulwark against democracy and socialism in particular.

In the summer of 2014, our screens were inundated with videos of the carnage from the streets of Gaza. Similar outrage greeted the destruction of UNESCO heritage sites in both Iraq and Syria with the condemnation of Islamic State’s barbarism reaching a crescendo when it overtook Syria’s majestic city of Palmyra.

The Nuclear Agreement; Fantasies vs Facts

Iranians are celebrating the prospects of a long awaited relief from the economic pain that the sanctions had imposed upon the nation. While they blame the United States government for what they believe to have been an unjustified and unfair treatment, they are divided as to what the true motivating factors could have been behind America’s animosity toward Iran.

The majority opinion points to America’s insatiable appetite for a hegemonic control over the region and its energy resources. A much smaller segment of the population comprising of the more educated elites, believe that Israel and its Zionist supporters in the United States have been at the helm and steering America’s foreign policy in the Middle East toward Israel’s preferences, even at the expense of America’s own strategic interests.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The cause of this can be laid squarely at the feet of abysmal US foreign policy failure in this country.

Pop quiz; in the last election here, how many names were on the ballot?!?

Only one: that of Al-Hadi, a replacement US puppet from the Al-Selah, the US puppet who got run out of town on a rail.

And since al-Hadi has been in office, how have the conditions for the Yemenite people improved?!?

Not one bit. And the late President Kennedy said this best: "When peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable."

This is precisely what we are witnessing in Yemen right now.

and the Saudis are being used by the US as their proxy military here.

Notice that houses, schools, hospitals have been shelled; this collective punishment is a war crime, under international law.

But it appears here that the US, by enabling its Saudi ally, is attempting to use collective punishment against the Yemenite people to force them to take back their former leader, who has provided neither leadership nor hope.

The Yemenite people deserve a chance to chart their own destiny; but of course, the US government will not allow that to happen.

We are in for a very long war here, and Isis, the result of failed US government policy, or perhaps a US asset, is being made to be the "bad guy".

US government's collective punishment appears to include the destruction of those world heritage sites in Yemen which are part of the history of these people.

when you take away a country's history, you also take away its future.

The Agenda Behind ISIS’ Cultural Genocide

By Maram Susli

In what UNESCO is calling ‘Cultural Cleansing’, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) have begun destroying 2000-year-old Syrian statues in the ancient city of Palmyra and are claiming to have rigged the ancient ruins with explosives. This follows the systematic destruction of historical sites across the Middle East. So far ISIS has destroyed several sites across Iraq, which includes the destruction and looting of Mosul Museum, the destruction of the 3000-year-old Assyrian city of Nimrud and the bulldozing of the 2000-year-old fortress city of Hatra. Recently ISIS militants threatened to destroy Egypt’s Sphinx and pyramids.

While the world watches ISIS terrorists destroy the relics of the very birth place of civilization, we must reflect upon the reason why this is happening and how we have reached this point...

Iran’s Long-Game Diplomatic Strategy

Iran has sought negotiations with the U.S. for two decades, but both Democratic and Republican administrations favored hostility demanded by Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Now that Iran nuclear deal is completed, the attention of Western news media and political commentators is predictably focused overwhelmingly on the opposition to the agreement within the U.S. Congress and from Israel and the Saudi-led Sunni Arab coalition.

That media lens misses the real significance of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, which is that Iran succeeded in negotiating an agreement with the United States that upheld its national right to a nuclear program despite the obvious vast disparity in power between the two states. That power disparity between the global hegemon and a militarily weak but politically influential regional “middle power” has shaped not just the negotiating strategies of the two sides during the negotiations but, more importantly, how they came about in the first place.

The World Rebukes Netanyahu

In a rare rebuke to his bullying, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu failed to stop the United States and five other world powers from reaching an agreement to constrain but not eliminate Iran’s nuclear program. Yet, Netanyahu still is dominating how the U.S. public and congressional debate is being framed, with Iran accused of regional “aggression” in four countries.

There is little truth and much exaggeration to Netanyahu’s depiction of what is going on in the Middle East. Yet, the U.S. mainstream media mindlessly reprises Netanyahu’s falsehoods...

Netanyahu’s reference to “Iran’s aggression,” which is now becoming a conventional-wisdom talking point in Official Washington, was curious since Iran has not invaded another country for centuries. In 1980, Saddam Hussein’s Iraq – at the urging of Saudi Arabia – invaded Iran. But Iran has not invaded any of the four countries that Netanyahu cited.

US/Israeli/Saudi ‘Behavior’ Problems

There is a madness in how the mainstream U.S. media presents the world to the American people, a delusional perspective that arguably creates an existential threat to humanity’s survival. We have seen this pattern in the biased depiction of the Ukraine crisis and now in how Official Washington is framing the debate over the Iranian nuclear agreement.

In this American land of make-believe, Iran is assailed as the chief instigator of instability in the Middle East. Yet, any sane and informed person would dispute that assessment, noting the far greater contributions made by Israel, Saudi Arabia and, indeed, the United States.

The larger issue for the American people is what to do with this insane political-media system that dominates Official Washington. Either these powers-that-be are detached from reality or they are deceitful propagandists who think they can manipulate us with lies and distortions.

A Review of GAZA WRITES BACK — Gary Corseri

I have sometimes thought that if wars could be shown in slow-motion, we could put an end to this barbarism that gives the lie to all claims of “civilization” and “humanity.”

GAZA WRITES BACK is one of those very rare books that depicts war in slow motion.

The 23 stories here, written by 15 young authors (from late teens to early 30s, all but three female) were compiled to commemorate the 5-year anniversary of “Operation Cast Lead”—the name Israel gave to its 2008-2009 campaign to once more (but not finally) “mow the lawn” in Occupied Palestine—mostly, in this case, in Gaza.

It is a book that vivifies and personalizes the horrors, but also adumbrates the gnawing losses, the indelible memories.

Iran deal: Bad news for ISIS & JSOP?

They’re calling it a “win-win.” But the Iran nuclear deal could be a “lose-lose” for two leading Middle Eastern terrorist organizations: Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and Jewish State in Occupied Palestine (JSOP).

Will terrorist leaders “Bibi” Netanyahu and “Caliph” al-Baghdadi call a joint press conference to denounce the deal?

The Iran nuclear deal represents an existential threat to these two terror organizations because it signals a possible change in Western policy away from the destabilization doctrine. Instead of pushing Balkanization and chaos, the West may now decide it can live with a reasonably stable Middle East. That would mean a long, slow recovery for the region from the wave of death and destruction that ensued from the Zionist genocide beginning in 1948, and the accelerated genocide provoked by the neocon coup d’état on September 11th, 2001.

Middle East Turning Net Borrowers?

Further evidence that 2015.75 is really the peak in a Massive Debt Bubble, the Middle East has been always on a cash basis. Their revenues from oil exempted them from ever borrowing money. That is not the case today.

As oil prices rose, spending programs also anticipated no end in site. So as oil peaked and has begun a technology-shift bear market, those spending programs are causing budget deficits to appear in the Middle East for the first time. Not only has Saudi Arabia issued it first bond issue of $4 billion to cover budget deficits, Other countries may follow in the region.

This is true of U.S. foreign policy, which exhibits far more continuity than is often assumed.

Greece – The Triumph of Democracy – the first day of a New Beginning

Congratulations! – With a resounding “OXI” = “No” – with 61% the Greek rejected the troika imposed austerity. They joined a majority of economists worldwide, including from the IMF, who also know that austerity doesn’t help recovery – and certainly doesn’t wipe out debt, the noose around a country’s neck.

But – what does the decisive no-vote mean for the 39% yes-voters? – Do they want more of austerity? – Hardly. Or were they manipulated with fear-mongering by the mostly privately owned western media, which also dominate Greece?– Blackmailed by the threats of Brussels? – Were they afraid of what’s next? – Western presstitute media propaganda for a “yes” vote, spiked with fear, threats and purposeful confusion was horrendous.

As Propaganda Rains Down in US, Real Bombs Kill Scores of Civilians in Yemen

Just as a fear-soaked yet uneventful Fourth of July weekend came to an end in the United States, it was reported out of the impoverished and war-torn country of Yemen on Monday that a series of airstrikes by Saudi Arabia—which is receiving ongoing military intelligence and logistical support from the U.S.—had killed one hundred or more innocent people, including men, women, and children.

According to reports, at least 45 people were killed and another 50 wounded after Saudi Arabia warplanes bombed a market in Lanj province near the southern port city of Aden.

"I came right after the explosion and saw dozens of dead strewn about and a sea of blood, while the wounded were being evacuated to nearby hospitals," resident Abu-Ali al-Azibi told the Associated Press. "[There was] blood from people mixed with that of the sheep and other livestock at the market."

Saudi Airstrikes Kill 169, Mostly Civilians, Across Yemen

Saudi airstrikes against Yemeni cities have been a daily occurrence over the past several months, but seem to be escalating greatly today, with a series of strikes leaving 169 people, mostly civilians killed nationwide in the attacks.

54 people, many civilians, were reported slain in Amran Province, north of Sanaa, and 40 more civilians were reported killed in a strike that hit a livestock marketplace in al-Foyoush. Saudi officials issued a statement ignoring the toll, but insisting they don’t “intentionally target civilians.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

"...Don't intentionally target civilians.", MY ASTROLABE!!!

Of course, they are targeting civilians; they have some of the best tracking and GPS images available, courtesy of the US military. And when a civilian target is hit, it is called, in international parlance, collective punishment, which is considered a war crime.

And why are the Yemenite people getting collectively punished?!?

For wanting to throw out another US government puppet, al Hadi, and replace him with someone who may actually address the needs and concerns of the Yemenite people.

And that, of course, is something that neither the US government - or Saudi Arabia - will tolerate.

Look for these numbers of dead and maimed non-combatants to escalate horrifically in the future. And as reported today in firstlook.org/the intercept:

The bombing was carried out by what is typically referred to as a “Saudi-led coalition”; it is rarely mentioned in Western media reports that the U.S. is providing very substantial support to this “Saudi-led” war in Yemen, now in its fifth month, which has repeatedly, recklessly killed Yemeni civilians. Because these deaths of innocents are at the hands of the U.S. government and its despotic allies, it is very predictable how they will be covered in the U.S. None of the victims will be profiled in American media; it’ll be very surprising if any of their names are even mentioned. No major American television outlet will interview their grieving families. Americans will never learn about their extinguished life aspirations, or the children turned into orphans, or the parents who will now bury their infants. There will be no #FayoushStrong Twitter hashtags trending in the U.S. It’ll be like it never happened: blissful ignorance.

We, at WRH, are NOT ignoring this story: it has to get out there, be seen, and the voices of this country honestly heard: that just will not happen with the Whoreporate press.

Folks, the murder of non-combatants is just business as usual for the US government, which has enabled the blood soaked hands of the Saudi regime in creating this disaster.

And please remember: because of the sea embargo, zero food aid is getting in here, you have millions, including infants and children, in danger of death by malnutrition.

Obama Talks Escalation, But Officials Say ISIS War Strategy Unchanged

In his latest protracted speech about the ISIS war, President Obama insisted that the war is continuing to go well, citing thousands of ISIS fighters killed, and talked up escalating airstrikes against ISIS in Raqqa, insisting that the recent attacks “proved” ISIS would eventually be destroyed.

That “eventually” could be a long time indeed, as Obama described the conflict as a “generational struggle” that would be one at some unspecified point in the future. In the meantime, it’s all airstrikes, and bragging about body counts.

Pentagon officials, however, say that the basic ISIS war strategy are unchanged, beyond an increase in the number of airstrikes in recent days. Officials continue to maintain that, despite mounting losses on the ground, the existing strategy is the right one.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I woould like to kindly remind Pentagon spokespersons of one major fact here: you cannot win what is essentially a ground war from the air.

So I have to ask the questions: what is really going on here, and what is really the desired outcome?!?

Leaks reveal how Ottawa cultivated ties before $15-billion Saudi arms deal

The Canadian government carefully courted Saudi Arabia in the years leading up to an unprecedented $15-billion arms sale to Riyadh brokered by Ottawa that remains shrouded in secrecy, documents show.

US-Saudi Man-Made Famine Threatens 20 Million Yemenis

In 2011, a nationwide uprising akin to those in Tunisia and Egypt deposed the country’s autocratic leader, Ali Abdullah Saleh. There was no democratic election before his successor, the Saudi- and U.S.-backed Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, took over — he ran unopposed. And there was no relief from the terrible poverty, unemployment, and government corruption that brought about the popular revolt.

So a few months ago, a reformist movement and militia called the Houthis — which had launched a handful of rebellions against Saleh in the past — took advantage of widespread discontent to conquer the capital, Sanaa. Hadi fled into exile, and the Saudis started bombing shortly thereafter.

Since then, local militias in central and southern Yemen have fiercely resisted the Houthis and army units still loyal to Saleh, who is now allied with his former foes. Meanwhile, a local franchise of al-Qaeda is fighting everybody.

In short, it’s terribly complicated, and the bombs aren’t helping.

The Yemenis caught in this crossfire were already thirsty and hungry before the war — unlike their Saudi neighbors, they don’t have a lucrative oil supply. Now, with Yemen’s borders closed, its airports shut down, and Arab navies enforcing an embargo at sea, the situation is breathtaking in its desperation.

Saudi Airstrikes Kill 45 Civilians in Northern Yemen

Yemeni state media reported a flurry of Saudi airstrikes today in the Hajjah Province, slamming the Aahem marketplace and killing at least 45 civilians and wounding an unspecified number of others.

Neither Saudi officials nor their allies in the former Hadi government addressed the attacks in Hajjah, though strikes killing massive numbers of civilians have been common throughout the Saudi war against Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I guess their US military advisors have told them that the killing of civilians is perfectly OK, considering that the US military is doing precisely the same thing in Syria.

Escalating violence in Yemen has devastated the country's health system and exposed millions of children to the threat of preventable diseases including measles, pneumonia and diarrhea, the United Nations children's agency UNICEF said on Tuesday.

Since fighting intensified in March, many hospitals and health centers have been unable to function properly and vaccination services have been disrupted, according to UNICEF.

Health centers lack the electricity and fuel needed to distribute vaccines and keep them cold, while the fear of conflict is deterring parents from taking their children to receive vaccinations, the U.N. agency said.

The real issue holding things up is whether the Americans have the "political will" to make that leap, to agree in writing to its obligations (without 100 caveats) and the courage to face their sprawling bureaucracy whose bread-and-butter is the 'sanctions industry' and the 'Iranian enemy.' says Sharmine Narwani

It’s D-Day in Vienna, and the parties sitting across the negotiating table still haven’t ironed out terms to settle a 12-year standoff over Iran’s nuclear program. Expect this deadline to be missed. And prepare for a lot of hot air to fill its space.

The “hot air” is calculated narrative-spin from a range of players that seek to 1) scuttle a deal, 2) increase pressure/create leverage at the negotiating table, or 3) frame an upcoming agreement in language favorable to one side.

U.S. WILL RESUME SENDING WEAPONS TO BAHRAIN DESPITE ONGOING REPRESSION

The State Department announced it will lift its freeze on arms sales to the repressive government of Bahrain on Monday, despite the country’s myriad human rights abuses in recent years, including arbitrary detention of children, torture, restrictions for journalists and a brutal government crackdown on peaceful protestors in 2011.

“The Administration has decided to lift the holds on security assistance to the Bahrain Defense Force and National Guard that were implemented following Bahrain’s crackdown on demonstrations in 2011,” wrote John Kirby, a State Department spokesperson, in a press release on Monday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

'“We do not think that the human rights situation in Bahrain is adequate,” the State Department said.'

(Sigh) I am having an industrial strength, palm to forehead moment, at velocity, upon reading this.

And State Department Spokesperson John Kirby, I have a bone to pick with you.

If the human rights situation is adjudged by the State Department as "inadequate", WHY THE FLIP ARE WE SENDING THE AL KHALIFA REGIME WEAPONS WITH WHICH IT CAN TORTURE AND KILL THEIR OWN PEOPLE WITH IMPUNITY?!?

But, then again, human rights in foreign countries are encouraged by the US government... only when they are convenient.

And Bahrain is home to the Navy's 5th fleet, which means that honoring the observance of human rights in such a place is both monumentally inconvenient, and incompatible with US hegemony.

The people in the Middle East do not hate us because we are free; they hate us for killing family and friends in extrajudicial assassinations; they hate us for supporting tin pot dictators, with money and guns, because these leaders are "our thugs", no matter how grim the situation is for the people of these countries; they hate us for torture, which still goes on today under President Obama's watch.

And if you don't believe it, please be aware that this Administration is having hunger strikers at Gitmo force fed, not as a form of keeping them alive, but as a form of punishment for doing the only thing they can do in protest, as many of them held for over 11 years without a hearing or court date.

The late President Kennedy said it best: "When peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable".

And when the Kingdom of Bahrain ultimately successfully changes leadership (however that happens), I will be willing to bet you that, because of US the government's stumbling, bumbling attempt to shore up a completely corrupt regime, that Bahrain will become one of the most vehemently anti-American countries in the Middle East.

And if I, as a plain, average citizen can see this coming, why can't the US government?!?

Apparently, one of the most prized criteria for hiring anyone to work for the last two administrations is that of not being able to think a scenario through to its logical conclusion.

I would politely suggest that this might be a monumental problem, both domestically, and internationally, for this country.

Hillary Lucks Out; News on Emails She Failed to Turn over Got ‘Lost’ on Biggest News Day of the Year

Yes, Hillary sure did luck out didn’t she?

News hit that, despite her promises that she turned over each and every email during her tenure as Secretary of State, the State Department found at least 15 emails Hillary Clinton did not turn over (via The New York Times):

The State Department said on Thursday that 15 emails sent or received by Hillary Rodham Clinton were missing from records that she has turned over, raising new questions about whether she deleted work-related emails from the private account she used exclusively while in office.

But, considering the news didn’t fully break until the same day that the Supreme Court upheld gay marriage and that’s all anyone was talking about that day in the mainstream press, no one likely even saw buried headlines about Hillary’s “lost” emails.

15 civilians dead as Saudi warplanes hit Yemen again

At least 15 civilians, including women and children, were killed and several others injured when Saudi fighter jets launched a fresh round of airstrikes against various areas in Yemen as Riyadh pushed ahead with its atrocious onslaught against its impoverished southern neighbor.

Saudi military aircraft conducted attacks against a residential area in Sarwah district of Yemen’s central province of Ma'rib, situated approximately 120 kilometers (74 miles) east of the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, on Monday. Nine members of a family lost their lives and three others sustained injuries, the Arabic-language al-Masirah satellite television network reported.

Six civilians, among them two women and three children, were also killed as Saudi warplanes struck Shibam Kawkaban district in the western Yemeni province of al-Mahwit, situated 53 kilometers (29 miles) northwest of of Sana’a.

We need to do a lot more searching, a lot deeper digging, if we're going to root out and destroy the virus that has been killing us for centuries!

For over half a century, I’ve written articles against racism and war. I was shocked and I grieved to see what happened at the Charleston Emanuel Church. Quickly, the call went out: We need to have a “conversation” about race in America! And, almost as quickly: Take down the Confederate flag! But, let’s be very clear: the Confederate flag is NOT a central issue here.

On the 4th of July, when Americans raise their flags as a proud symbol of their “freedom,” will anyone dare to lower their flags to half-mast to commemorate the 60,000 Americans who died in a now-acknowledged “unnecessary” war in Vietnam– let alone the millions of Asians?

Would it be disrespectful even to suggest such a gesture?

US To Begin Invasion of Syria

Unbeknownst to the general public, their elected politicians do not create the policy that binds their national destiny domestically or within the arena of geopolitics. Instead, corporate-financier funded think tanks do – teams of unelected policymakers which transcend elections, and which produce papers that then become the foundation of legislation rubber stamped by “legislators,” as well as the enumerated talking points repeated ad naseum by the corporate-media.

Greece – the Way Out

The Greek people are being penalized for having had the audacity to elect a socialist government – How dare they! – That’s the verdict.

What the troika is doing to Greece these days is the pinnacle of financial terrorism. It is economic waterboarding. It is blackmailing of the first degree. These people are neoliberal fascists, putting the Greek government before a dilemma – ‘either you present us with an acceptable list of austerities, or we will prepare one for you’ – literally. An austerity plan you better accept, lest you may default and being expulsed from the European monetary union and maybe even the EU. That is their threat. That is what Brussels does to a brother; to one of theirs. There is not a shred of solidarity left in this miss-called ‘Union’. This ‘Union’ doesn’t deserve existing.

ISIL: Made in Langley and propped up by Tel Aviv and Riyadh

It is becoming more and more apparent that the Islamic State for Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), or "Daesh" as it is known in Arabic, or ISIS – the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham -- preferred by Israel supporters because of the uncomforting similarity between "Israel" and "ISIL" – is part of another Central Intelligence Agency operation to artificially create a new "strategy of tensions" for the Eurasian and African land masses.

Over-the-Top: Sorry, but the Latest ISIS Horror Video Looks Like a BS Hollywood Reality Show

Yes, the war on terror was designed as a nebulous pile of dung that was never meant to ever end. You can’t win a war against an ideal.

And apparently now this war is being fought with show business… because that’s what war is.

Someone somewhere who cannot distinguish between what they see on television and what happens in real life is going to say the following is a heartless, disgusting article to write.

However, we live in a heartless, disgusting world where modern propaganda, false flags, and psyops have gotten to the point that they look like they are being directed by Michael Bay.

As if the videos of some of the so-called ISIS beheadings weren’t questionable enough. As if the news media reporting that ISIS is luring Western women into their dark nightmare world with Nutella and kittens wasn’t ridiculous enough.

Now we are given this.

Just read this Daily Mail headline. Read it twice before continuing and just let it sink in.
