IN HIS FINAL DAYS, A VIETNAM VET AT A VA FACILITY WAS TWICE FOUND COVERED IN ANTS, DAUGHTER SAYS

SOURCE: CNN.COM
(CNN)An Air Force veteran who served in Vietnam and was living his final days at a US Department of Veterans Affairs assisted-living facility was twice found covered in ants and photos show scores of bites on his body, his daughter said Thursday.

Laquana Ross said her father, Joel Marrable, died Saturday at the Eagles' Nest Community Living Center in the Atlanta VA Medical Center.
Ross said she is not upset with the VA over the ants, but wants her father's story to prompt change.

"Maybe this can move the needle and improve the process," she said. "The VA is busy. They have a lot of patients and huge needs they have to address."

Webmaster's Commentary:

As much as I abhor war, as a methodology for the US getting what it wants from other countries, not one more of our Veterans should ever have to put up with this lack of basic medical care, ever!!!

A society can definitely be judged by how well it treats its most fragile members, and that includes many of our medically fragile elderly Vets; and right now, this country is failing these people in an extreme and horrific way, as evidenced by this case.

NO human being is ever expendable, and all, particularly when they near their journey's end, should be treated with grace, common sense medical care, and compassion.

Our Vets are NOT "disposable", thank you very much!!!!

Shocking moment women's soccer crowd BOO as US Armed Forces enlistees are asked to pledge loyalty to President Trump in 9/11 ceremony

A U.S. Armed Forces swearing in ceremony during a National Women's Soccer League match in Oregon on 9/11 drew loud boos from the crowd when the enlistees were asked to pledge allegiance to President Trump.

The ceremony took place in the middle of the field at Providence Park stadium in Portland on Wednesday night as a way to commemorate 9/11 during the Portland Thorns and North Carolina Courage game.

The group of enlistees were initially cheered on by the 17,000-strong crowd when they started taking the Oath of Enlistment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This was unfortunate in the extreme; can we, as a nation, manage to please keep politics away from sports?!?!?

And there have been many moments which I have felt that President Trump has been a colossal disappointment as President.

But when I criticize him, I work to be as fact-centric as possible, so that the points I am making will not get lost in a sea of vitriol.

There are many more productive things to do, if one does not like a political incumbent; petitioning; peaceful protests; and getting out there to encourage people to vote, and get them registered to do so.

Latest Russian spy story looks like another elaborate media deception

When I was 20, I studied at the Leningrad Polytechnical Institute, in the waning days of the Soviet empire. Most of the Russians I met were amusingly free of stress caused by following news. Why would they bother? Bull-factories like Rossiskaya Gazeta and Leningradsaya Pravda were basically collections of dreary government news releases rewritten to sound like news reports.

I saw newspapers in Leningrad shredded into slivers of toilet paper, used in place of curtains in dorm rooms, even stuffed into overcoat linings as insulation. But I can’t recall a Russian person actually reading a Soviet newspaper for the content. That’s how useless its “news” was.

We’re headed to a similar place.

McCabe Criminal Indictment Appeal Rejected; DOJ Cleared To Prosecute

The Justice Department on Thursday notified attorneys for former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe that his appeal to avoid criminal prosecution has been rejected, according to Bloomberg, citing a source close to McCabe's legal team. The decision comes roughly a month after McCabe filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the DOJ and Attorney General William Barr, after an internal investigation into media leaks resulted in his firing.

The U.S. attorney’s office for the District of Columbia informed McCabe’s legal team last month that charges against McCabe were being recommended, according to a person familiar with the matter.

McCabe and his legal team met with Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and the U.S. attorney, Jessie Liu, on Aug. 21 to appeal the recommendation, according to the person.

McCabe’s lawyers still have the right to request a meeting with Barr over the matter, the person said. -Bloomberg

Indian Military Waiting for Government Order to Retrieve Pakistan's Part of Kashmir - Army Chief

New Delhi (Sputnik): A day ahead of a big rally by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in Muzaffarabad - the capital of Pakistan-administered Kashmir - India has made a strong statement about retrieving Kashmir from Islamabad.

With some Indian ministers underlining the need to discuss Pakistani-administered Kashmir, the Indian Army chief has said the troops always remain ready mode whenever the government wants them to go ahead and retrieve that side of Kashmir.

General Bipin Rawat’s remark came days after two key ministers including the Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, touched upon the issue of Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

"The government takes action in such matters. Institutions of the country will work as per the orders of the government. The army is always ready", said General Rawat while replying to the media on Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF Pakistan decides to do this, SOME adult in the room, on both India's and Pakistan's side needs to get the leadership in both countries to "cage the rage, and engage;" calm moral leadership is desperately required to keep these countries from starting World War III.

part of a 100 year negotiation.Have You Noticed How Social Media Purges Always Align With The US Empire?

Authored by Caitlin Johnstone via Medium.com,

Twitter has suspended multiple large Cuban media accounts for reasons the social media platform has yet to explain as of this writing, a move which journalist Dan Cohen has described as “the equivalent of silencing CNN, Fox, WaPo and NPR’s accounts” for that nation. The Union of Cuban Journalists has denounced the move as censorship.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The pattern is exceptionally clear, for anyone with a couple of brain cells left.

If these English language blogs go silent simultaneously, you can bet that something wicked this way is about to hit Iran.

Some airplanes did something?! New York Times article ‘de-terrorizes’ 9/11 attacks

On the anniversary of the most devastating terrorist attack on US soil, a story by the New York Times suggested that “airplanes” brought down the twin towers. The seeming shift of responsibility did not sit well with readers.

“18 years have passed since airplanes took aim and brought down the World Trade Center,” read a tweet from the New York Times on Wednesday. “Today families will once again gather and grieve at the site where more than 2000 people died.” Inside an accompanying article, the same bizarre sentence was repeated.

Though technological dystopia was all the rage in 2001, what with the success of ‘The Matrix’ two years earlier and the passing of Y2K after that, the 9/11 attacks were not carried out by sentient airplanes, but by terrorist hijackers.

The Bill Of Rights Turns 230, And What Do We Have To Show For It? Nothing Good

Authored by John Whitehead via The Rutherford Institute,

“That was when they suspended the Constitution. They said it would be temporary. There wasn't even any rioting in the streets. People stayed home at night, watching television, looking for some direction. There wasn't even an enemy you could put your finger on.”

- Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid's Tale

It’s been 230 years since James Madison drafted the Bill of Rights - the first ten amendments to the Constitution - as a means of protecting the people against government tyranny, and what do we have to show for it?

Nothing good.

In America today, the government does whatever it wants, freedom be damned.

We can pretend that the Constitution, which was written to hold the government accountable, is still our governing document, but the reality of life in the American police state tells a different story.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Particularly at least during the last 20 years, the Constitution and Bill of Rights have been vivisected, and have been condemned to die an horrendous death, courtesy of those "Acquisitions" of major corporations, hysterically still referred to as our "Congressional Representatives."

This is why, when legislation is drafted, it invariably protects the corporate interests which have "purchased" that legislation into being, in broad daylight, through the furtive actions of these alleged "Congressional Representatives", who do understand that what they are doing is terrific for the corporations which own them, but generally lousy for We the People.

CIA CRUSHES CNN’S LATEST TRUMP-RUSSIA CONSPIRACY THEORY

It’s undoubtedly better to leave some stories alone, and this may be one of them. Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov perhaps put it best when he called it “pulp fiction” (and what’s more American than that?). But this one is so exemplary of how the news is cooked up for you these days, let’s have a go anyway.

What makes this story so ideal for its purpose is that it involves intelligence and state secrets, so the news outlet that runs it doesn’t have to prove a thing; it can simply say it’s not authorized to divulge what it doesn’t write, while hinting it does know. Plus, it can use any number of covert sources.

No laughing matter: PC policing would make ‘Monty Python’ and other comedies ‘crimes’ today

The classic British comedy series ‘Monty Python’ is 50 years old this month, but the sobering fact is that it, along with other shows of the era, would not be made today due to politically correct policing.

The Spanish Inquisition was a series of sketches in a 1970 episode of ‘Monty Python.’ Whenever a character said “I didn’t expect a Spanish Inquisition,” the Spanish Inquisition would turn up with the words “Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.” The thing is today, all comedy writers do expect the PC Police Inquisition, so they self-censor. Which is why modern comedy is nowhere near as inventive, or funny, as it was 50 years ago.

Leaks, Fake News, and Hidden Agendas

By Jon Rappoport

Thousands of articles have been written about the so-called Russian hack of the US election. The term “Russian hack” suggests the Russkies actually found a way to subvert the results of voting machines.

But of course, no convincing evidence has been presented to support such a charge. In fact, when you drill down a few inches below the surface, you find this charge instead: Russia hacked into email accounts and scooped up Hillary, DNC, and Podesta emails, and passed them to WikiLeaks, who then published them.

But no chain of evidence supporting THAT claim has been presented to the public, either. Even assuming the assertion is true, an important factor is intentionally being ignored: THE CONTENT OF THOSE LEAKED EMAILS. In other words, if making all this content publicly available cost Hillary the election, and if no one is seriously questioning the authenticity of the emails, then THE TRUTH undermined Hillary...

WaPo’s Desperate ‘Do Something’ Demand Inadvertently Shows Futility of ‘Gun Control’

Despite such uneven playing fields, here’s the thing to keep in mind: No matter what oath-breaking political parasites do, a critical mass of committed gun owners will not surrender their guns and there aren’t enough enforcers to make it happen. That both enrages and scares the hell out of those who would control all, but it also shows that the Second Amendment is still working as intended, even when apparently dormant. Just as arms in private hands discourage individual predators from attacking, so too does that work on a societal scale.

STRANGE THINGS ARE HAPPENING ON EPSTEIN ISLAND: DRONE FOOTAGE

SOURCE: VIGILANT CITIZEN

Recent drone footage of Little Saint James reveals strange activity and telling facts about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation since his death. As expected, everything points towards a massive cover-up. Here are the most revealing images captured by drones in the past weeks.

Ever since Jeffrey Epstein’s highly suspicious death in a maximum-security prison, things only got more suspicious. Although the autopsy officially concluded that the cause of death was suicide, a steady flow of facts and revelations are strongly hinting towards a massive cover-up.

HUSTLE AND BUSTLE
Considering the fact that LittLe Saint James was the site of heinous crimes involving powerful people, one would expect the island to be treated like a crime scene that is completely closed off to non-investigators. That is not what is happening.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The rich seldom eat their own.

And yes, these images are very disturbing.

But please remember: there is an unofficial category of "cleaners", from various of the US alphabet soup agencies, who are designated as "site cleaners", when exculpatory evidence is left behind, to clean up, and obfuscate what really happened as much as humanly possible.

The Future Of The Spectacle... Or How The West Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Reality Police

Authored (satirically) by CJ Hopkins via Off-Guardian.org,

If you want a vision of the future, don’t imagine “a boot stamping on a human face — for ever,” as Orwell suggested in 1984. Instead, imagine that human face staring mesmerized into the screen of some kind of nifty futuristic device on which every word, sound, and image has been algorithmically approved for consumption by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (“DARPA”) and its “innovation ecosystem” of “academic, corporate, and governmental partners.”

The screen of this futuristic device will offer a virtually unlimited range of “non-divisive” and “hate-free” content, none of which will falsify or distort the “truth,” or in any way deviate from “reality.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

So what about Christian Pacifist Activists, like myself, who never advocate violence, but gently and logically ask their government to find ways of resolving geopolitical conflicts without resorting to war?!?!?

When will we get pulled into the ghettos of the non-politically correct, for the rest of our natural lives?!? When those attempting to tell the truth, albeit hard for most Americans to swallow (like the US enabling of Saudi troops in Yemen, slaughtering thousands of non-combatants in a continuing "killing field" which targets infants; women;and the medically fragile elderly), what happens then?!?

When telling the truth has become an illegal act, it should be crystal clear, even to most thick-headed Americans, that the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika, has made the last, and definitive step, into that dark realm called "soft dictatorship", from which it can never recover.

In fact, we are almost there right now.

And if you have never seen the director's cut of Terry Gilliam's "Brazil", please buy it; because, folks, this is precisely where this country has been heading, and for quite a long time. Gilliam is not only a brilliant film maker; in this, he was also truly a prophet.

5 Surprising Scientific Facts About Earth's Climate

Authored by Vijay Jayaraj Jayaraj via The Foundation for Economic Education,

On the weekend of August 10–11, as if in chorus, major online news websites called on people to stop consuming meat. The calls echoed a recent United Nations report that recommended doing so to fight climate change.

It surprised many, but there are other more surprising facts about climate change that are hardly published in our everyday news media.

Below are some facts - scientifically recognized and published in peer-reviewed journals - that may raise your eyebrows.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When agenda which is not completely science based is followed, the outcomes can, potentially, be catastrophic. This is why we all need to be examining the facts - not the hype- about climate change, and this article does a very good job of this.

What Economic News Can You Trust?

Op-Ed by Robert E. Wright

Traditional news may not be “fake” per se, but people are right to remain suspicious of it. Deep insights into reality often get dumbed down into silly slogans and ideas, but that does not mean that they are completely off the mark...

What people sense with the news is that it is not, in fact, trustworthy because the incentives of traditional news providers and their readers are not closely aligned, especially when it comes to economic and financial analysis...

West’s “Humanitarian” Claims Struggle as Syrian War Nears Endgame

Op-Ed by Tony Cartalucci

Headlines emanating from the West regarding Syria’s ongoing war have a common theme – allegations of Syria and Russia’s “ruthless barrage” of the northern region of Idlib.

So often, however, has the US and its allies falsely invoked “humanitarian concern” that these headlines fall on informed and discerning ears who not only reject it, but have cemented in their minds a familiarity with this ploy that will make it all but impossible to use it again on whatever battlefield the US shifts its foreign policy to next...

Labor Day 2019: Every US household could have $1,000,000 benefits with monetary reform and public banking, BUT .01% ‘leaderships’ in government, money, media keep silent to operate lying, looting, illegal rogue state empire

American families could have ~$1,000,000 per household in benefits from monetary reform and public banking. This is literally the most valuable information you can learn.

Colleagues and I presenting this data have written and presented at professional international economic conferences and have zero challenges to this information, such as this 2015 paper published by The Claremont Colleges for their ~2,000 person international economics conference, and this 2012 paper.

I can also factually assert that I work with ~2,000 Advanced Placement Economics teachers through our discussion board, and that no colleague has ever challenged the factual accuracy of what I am about to explain and document.

These two reforms are easy to learn:

THE 2019 VMAS: IT'S NOT ABOUT MUSIC, IT'S ABOUT PUSHING NARRATIVES

Watching awards shows is an act of self-sacrifice that I suffer through a few times a year for the benefit of this site’s loyal readers. Although I strongly dislike sitting through these seemingly endless hours of televised garbage, I believe it is crucial to report on the messages that are being promoted throughout. Because, while most media sources focus their “coverage” on random items such as Cardi B’s boob dress, there is much more going on during these shows. And the young people who watch these shows absorb what is happening the same way a brand new sponge absorbs the dirty stinking water of a nasty kitchen sink. And, yes, in this beautiful metaphor, the dirty, stinking water represents the elite’s relentless social agenda.
