60 Percent of Voters Want Obamacare to Be Repealed

A new poll finds that three-fifths of likely voters support the repeal of Obamacare. A large plurality — 44 percent — wants to see Obamacare repealed and replaced with a conservative alternative. A much smaller group —16 percent — wants to see it repealed but not replaced. Pervs in authority: Former TSA officer accused of secretly recording female co-worker

(Reuters) - A former U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA)officer accused of secretly recording video of a female co-worker inside an employee restroom at Nashville International Airport has been charged with several felonies, authorities said on Tuesday.

Daniel Boykin, 33, was charged with unlawful photography, aggravated burglary, wiretapping, unlawful telephone recording and two computer crimes, Metropolitan Nashville Police said in a statement.

"Detectives believe that Boykin had an infatuation with the one victim," police said.

The woman filed a complaint with the U.S. Attorney's Office in May after she saw videos of herself on Boykin's cell phone and federal authorities notified Nashville police, police said. He was terminated from the TSA after the investigation began.

Brown signed SB-1077 into law. on September 29th. The Obama administration has asked a federal judge to hold a highly anticipated court hearing on its painful force-feedings of Guantánamo Bay detainees almost entirely in secret, prompting suspicions of a cover-up.

US wants Guantanamo force-feeding hearing to stay secret

Attorneys for the United States government say that an upcoming court hearing concerning the force-feeding practices used on a Guantanamo Bay detainee should be held almost entirely behind closed doors.

The motion, filed by US attorneys on Friday in District Court for the District of Columbia, asks that the preliminary injunction hearing for Gitmo detainee Abu Wa’el Dhiab scheduled for early next month be conducted largely in secret over supposed national security concerns.

“As an initial matter, the hearing should be closed in order to prevent any unauthorized disclosure of classified or protected information,” the motion reads in part. “Furthermore, the hearing should be closed because, although portions of the materials in the record in this case are unclassified, conducting an open hearing in this case would impose significant burdens on the parties and the Court.”

There are NO valid "national security concerns" only "deep embarrassment concerns."

Anyone whose doctor has prescribed this process in their convalescence from an illness understands that even in the most competent and compassionate hands, it is still uncomfortable as hell.

To use this as a punishment for a hunger strike (as it has been primarily practiced at Gitmo, in a restraint chair) is both immoral and inhumane.

I would very strongly suggest that this is being done to prevent these hunger strikers from dying to prevent autopsies being leaked, which may well show the extent to which these men had been tortured in order to get them to confess to whatever their torturers wanted to hear.

Extremists may face broadcast ban, social media vetting - home secretary

Powers banning extremists from appearing on TV and which allow police to vet “harmful” individuals’ social media activity would be enforced if the Conservatives return to power next year, Home Secretary Theresa May is set to announce.

The party manifesto will also pledge to introduce time-limited Extremist Disruption Orders to curb individuals’ right to speak at public events and control their social media usage. The maximum sentence could be up to 10 years in prison for breaking a banning order.

Pharmaceutical companies conspired to keep more affordable generic products off the market, FTC claims

(NaturalNews) Men who require testosterone replacement therapy have been deprived access to lower-cost, generic versions of the popular branded testosterone drug AndroGel in violation of the law, claims a new federal lawsuit. These are the conditions found at a "special needs" for-profit prison, the East Mississippi Correctional Facility, which is tasked by the state's department of corrections with incarcerating 1,200 people, approximately 1,000 of whom have severe psychiatric disorders, according to a legal motion filed Friday.

THIS is what happens when you allow criminals to be incarcerated in for-profit prisons.

Of course, these contracts were well and truly purchased by these corporations, most probably in the form of bribes to the officials of the Mississippi Department of corrections.

This country has not been able, collectively, to make up its mind as to whether to punish or rehabilitate, so it winds up punishing, which nearly guarantees higher rates of recidivism.

Charges Dropped Against Philadelphia Cop Once Acclaimed, Later Vilified

A former-hero Philadelphia police officer who faced several criminal charges has now seen most of them dropped.

The US Has No Banking Regulation, And It Doesn’t Want Any

It is, let’s say, exceedingly peculiar to begin with that a government – in this case the American one, but that’s just one example -, in name of its people tasks a private institution with regulating not just any sector of its economy, but the richest and most politically powerful sector in the nation. Which also happens to be at least one of the major forces behind its latest, and ongoing, economical crisis.

That there is a very transparent, plain for everyone to see, over-sized revolving door between the regulator and the corporations in the sector only makes the government’s choice for the Fed as regulator even more peculiar. Or, as it turns out, more logical. But it is still preposterous: regulating the financial sector is a mere illusion kept alive through lip service. Put differently: the American government doesn’t regulate the banks. They effectively regulate themselves. Which inevitably means there is no regulation.

Now taxman can grab £17k straight from your salary: HMRC denounced for setting 'a new high in state intrusion'

The taxman has been accused of trying to become ‘all-powerful’ after vastly increasing the amount that can be taken from salaries.

Drivers accused of running cashless toll roads without paying in Orange County are being offered waivers for the penalty fees, with certain conditions attached. An astonishing 13,500 violation notices are being issued every day in Orange County alone, since the system went cashless. The taxpayers have already paid for most of these roads yet are being charged for them again, and fleeced in the process with outrageous and punitive fees. A CCTV operator who was convicted of spying on a woman in north Belfast with a police camera has been jailed for a total of eight months.

Cop Asks Man For License, Shoots Him When He Goes to Get It

The video showing a shooting involving a former South Carolina state trooper and an unarmed man has been released to the public.

The video was taken from the dash camera installed inside 31-year-old Sean Groubert’s vehicle during an encounter in which Groubert shot 35-year-old Levar Jones on September 4th. The incident took place at a Circle K gas station on Broad River Road in Columbia.

Groubert was charged Wednesday with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature in connection with the incident. Bond was set at $75,000.

In the video, Jones can be seen getting out of his car when Groubert pulled up and asked for his license. Jones reached in his car for his license and Groubert immediately shot at Jones several times.

In Colorado, a Student Counterprotest to an Anti-Protest Curriculum

A new conservative school board majority here in the Denver suburbs recently proposed a curriculum-review committee to promote patriotism, respect for authority and free enterprise and to guard against educational materials that “encourage or condone civil disorder.” In response, hundreds of students, teachers and parents gave the board their own lesson in civil disobedience.

On Tuesday, hundreds of students from high schools across the Jefferson County school district, the second largest in Colorado, streamed out of school and along busy thoroughfares, waving signs and championing the value of learning about the fractious and tumultuous chapters of American history.

“It’s gotten bad,” said Griffin Guttormsson, a junior at Arvada High School who wants to become a teacher and spent the school day soliciting honks from passing cars. “The school board is insane. You can’t erase our history. It’s not patriotic. It’s stupid.”

There is nothing new in erasing from the curriculum knowledge the government and the money-junkies do not want you to have. The prime cause of the American Revolution, according to Ben Franklin and many of the other Founding Fathers, was King George III's Currency act, which forced the American colonists to conduct all commerce using bank notes borrowed at interest from the Rothschild-owned Bank of England. This practice plunged the working classes of America into the same crushing poverty as working people in Britain of the same time. In 1913, when a corrupt Congress and a corrupt President sold us back into the slavery of the very same system of banking, the public schools stopped teaching about the Currency act and presented the American Revolution as being about the Stamp Act, tea in Boston Harbor, and so forth, so that generations of Americans, believing they were educated, were ignorant of the fact that this nation was started and did quite well using an entirely different system of national economics.

Today the government doesn't want children growing up aware that there even was a revolution, given that we now suffer many of the same evils that prompted the first one. I am proud of these students and teachers for taking a stand against manufactured history!

Intense Moment When Man On ‘No Fly’ List Tells Off TSA

A man on the federal “no fly” list flew from Minnesota to Colorado and was harassed by TSA agents upon arrival at Denver International Airport, but he refused to undergo the extra security screening and caught the whole incident on film.

Huntsville schools say call from NSA led to monitoring students online

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama - A secret program to monitor students' online activities began quietly in Huntsville schools, following a phone call from the NSA, school officials say. Huntsville schools Superintendent Casey Wardynski says the system began monitoring social media sites 18 months ago, after the National Security Agency tipped the school district to a student making violent threats on Facebook.

The NSA, a U.S. agency responsible for foreign intelligence, this week said it has no record of a call to Huntsville and does not make calls to school systems. Regardless of how the program started, Huntsville City Schools began scanning Facebook and other sites for signs of gang activity, watching for photos of guns, photos of gang signs and threats of violence.

Forest Service says media needs photography permit in wilderness areas, alarming First Amendment advocates

The U.S. Forest Service has tightened restrictions on media coverage in vast swaths of the country's wild lands, requiring reporters to pay for a permit and get permission before shooting a photo or video in federally designated wilderness areas. Under rules being finalized in November, a reporter who met a biologist, wildlife advocate or whistleblower alleging neglect in any of the nation's 100 million acres of wilderness would first need special approval to shoot photos or videos even on an iPhone.

Permits cost up to $1,500, says Forest Service spokesman Larry Chambers, and reporters who don't get a permit could face fines up to $1,000. First Amendment advocates say the rules ignore press freedoms and are so vague they'd allow the Forest Service to grant permits only to favored reporters shooting videos for positive stories.

Peter King on ISIS: Be Ready for Attacks on US Soil

Intensifying U.S. airstrikes against the Islamic State (ISIS) could provoke members of the terror group already on U.S. soil to stage attacks here, Rep. Peter King tells Newsmax TV.

"First of all, these people would've attacked us anyway, but they may feel an urgency to do it now to show that ISIS can fight back, that ISIS is not going to take this," King, a New York Republican, said Tuesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."

"We always have to be alert to them, [but] we have to be even more so now because they want to show . . . the Muslim world they're not going to sit back and take [it], they're going to fight back."

King, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee and chairman of the House Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, said he approves of intensified U.S. airstrikes against jihadists in the Middle East, although he wishes it had happened sooner.

A memo to Congressional Representative Peter King: if in fact ISIS (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) is able to attack the mainland, it means that every bit of surveillance, crotch groping at the airport, and spying by this government, has led to absolutely no actionable intelligence to prevent this from happening.

Should that happen, every security agency in the USA, the CIA, the DHS, FBI, and NSA, and DIA, have all failed, collectively and spectacularly.

After Ferguson, police get media training with session titled 'Feeding the Animals'

The PR team being brought in to teach Missouri cops how to handle the media apparently needs a little sensitivity training themselves.

Weeks of unrest in Ferguson, Mo., and the intense media scrutiny that came with it made an impact in at least one tangible way. The St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy plans to offer an October continuing education session called "Officer-involved shooting - You can win with the media."

But with bullet points such as "Meet the 900-pound Gorilla" and "Feeding the Animals," you have to wonder just how media-friendly this workshop — headed by Rick Rosenthal, President of RAR Communications, Inc. — will actually be.

I wish this were only humor, but right now we are seeing a repeat of the year 2001, where for months the corporate media promoted the idea of Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden as Uber Villains we were supposed to be afraid of, because they were coming to get us unless we got them first. Today the Pentagon is saying that the latest manufactured cartoon villain, Khorasanzilla, is in the final stages of a plot to carry out a terror attack on the United States. Funny how they can know there is a plot, that it is in its final stages, but don't know what the target is, or who is doing it. Funny. Really funny. Almost too weird to be believed, in fact!

Internet anti-Semitism a ‘mortal danger,’ say MKs

Anti-Semitism on the net is “like a tsunami wave,” Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Committee chairman MK Yoel Razbozov said during a Sunday hearing on online hate speech.

Razbozov called for countries to enact legislation restricting online hate, and warned that if Jews will not act to combat the spread of anti-Semitism online, they will eventually “find themselves in mortal danger.”

Although Israel uses words like "anti-Semitism" and "hate", what they are really opposed to is freedom of speech, as exemplified by the below article revealing how the Smithsonian got hoaxed by some tiles and tricked into claiming that the presence of gas chambers at Treblinka had been proven. Israel loves to tell lies and declares that those who challenge such lies must be "jew haters." No, we are lie haters, and there is a difference. But the object lesson here is that Israel hates the American principle of freedom of speech, and Israel, far more than Al Qaeda or ISIS, is an enemy of the American way of life.

FBI gags state and local police on capabilities of cellphone spy gear

The FBI requires state and local police to keep quiet about the capabilities of a controversial type of surveillance gear that allows law enforcement to eavesdrop on cell phone calls and track individual people based on the signals emitted by their mobile devices, according to a bureau document released recently under a Freedom of Information Act request.

The December 2012 document is a heavily redacted letter between the FBI and police in Tacoma, Wash., as the local department sought to acquire an IMSI catcher, sometimes described as a “fake cell phone tower” because it tricks individual phones into routing their calls and other data through the surveillance equipment. The Takoma police were buying gear produced by Harris Corp., a Florida-based company that makes the StingRay and other IMSI catchers used by law enforcement agencies across the country.

Police Chief Earl Theriot responded to a call for an intoxicated woman at a store. He took her back to the station and forced her to have sex with him. Theriot reportedly had the woman handcuffed and restrained with her belt at the time of the assault and stashed her under his desk in the police station.

When the woman filed a federal lawsuit against the chief, town officials called for his resignation. The chief denied he committed the crime and said "they can stick it." He lied to federal investigators about the incident, claiming she was never at the police station.

He then pleaded guilty and received a devastating sentence of PROBATION for two years (no jail time), a $2500 dollar fine, and was allowed to resign his job, which we can assume means he will keep his benefits.
