Iran: most developed country in Muslim world thanks to Western sanctions

How does the Iranian economy feel after 40 years of the economic blockade? How can Russia and Iran develop cooperation in the future? Pravda.Ru conducted an interview on the subject with Rosnano investment director, Vadim Veschezerov.

"A lot has been said recently about the Russian-Iranian cooperation in the field of high technologies. Can Russia and Iran cooperate in the high-tech industry instead of oil and fruit?"

A Macedonian view.

Russia launched its first air strikes in Syria Wednesday, Sept. 30 was confirmed by the Russian Defense Ministry in Moscow and quickly criticized by US officials. US appeared very concerned of "civilian" casualties. Interesting this concern came from a country that has killed nearly 2 million civilians in the past 15 years.
Moscow stressed that it acted in support of Bashar Assad’s war on the Islamic State, assisted by other foreign powers including Iran and Iraq working together from an allied command center in Baghdad.

The Warmonger Presidential Candidates

...the compromised presidential candidates will never gain the guts to set into motion a true America First foreign policy.

In order to fully understand the primal betrayal of genuine American interests, our society has to face the hard reality that the NeoCons and Zionist Israel-First fifth column that controls the bureaucracy of selective orthodox government is the enemy of our own people.

Standing with Israel is a primary reason for the demise of the American Republic.

Illustrating this point, the debate statement from Carly Fiorina, Crackpot Warmonger, exposes the utter absurdity of subordinating our true interests to a rogue regime designed to cause chaos as the meanings to achieve regional dominance.

“On Day One in the Oval Office, I will make two phone calls, the first to my good friend Bibi Netanyahu to reassure him we will stand with the state of Israel.”

Obama’s Syria

Ending Syria’s horrific civil war is possible, but the political will to do so remains elusive.

Over the years the facts on the ground have changed in Syria – with the rise of the Islamic State being the deadliest new reality. But Washington and its regional allies remain focused on an illegal regime change in Damascus. The west is fighting the wrong war and will surely lose the peace.

Regime Change as American as Apple Pie

US President Barack Obama is someone to almost pity. For he has the unenviable task of standing before the nations of the world and smugly spout endless falsehoods — as he did, yet again, during his address to the UN General Assembly.

Clandestine American-led interventions have fuelled the explosion in terror networks across the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa. Yet amid this American legacy of international violence, Obama was charged with painting a rose-tinted view of the world that was breath-taking in its distortion and absurdity.

Saudi-led Coalition Reportedly Seizes Iranian Boat With Weapons in Arabian Sea

REUTERS - Arab coalition forces waging a military campaign against Houthi fighters in Yemen seized an Iranian boat loaded with weapons in the Arabian Sea on its way to deliver supplies to the group, the Saudi-led alliance said on Wednesday.

The announcement was made a day after tribal fighters backed by the coalition won control of a strategic dam in central Yemen from Houthi forces following weeks of fighting in the area east of the capital Sanaa.

Syria, Iran issue first explicit warning to Israel if US attacks

A senior Syrian official on Monday issued a first direct warning that if attacked, his country would retaliate against Israel. Khalaf Muftah, a senior Baath Party official who used to serve as Syria’s assistant information minister, said in a radio interview that Damascus would consider Israel “behind the [Western] aggression and [it] will therefore come under fire.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Given that this report comes form the Times of Israel I would not accept this Iranian "threat" at face value. Netanyahu obviously intends to provoke an invasion of Syria, timed to Netanyahu's speech at the UN on Thursday, and is looking to blame Iran for it, to bolster efforts to kill the P5+1 deal and open a door to war with Iran.

Neocon Jeffrey Feltman Visits Libya Brandishing The Dahiyeh Doctrine and “The New Realities”

The “Dahiyeh Doctrine”

Libyan civilians have learned a thing or two from three decades of Lebanon’s experience with Israel’s five wars against that Levant country. Indeed NATO is using the same bombing, media, political and diplomatic strategy in Libya that Israel employed most recently in Lebanon during its 33-day July, 2006 war.

This includes bombing of the Libyan civilian infrastructure in order to cripple normal life here and hopefully crush the growing national Resistance among Libyans to NATO’s 15,300 sorties to date, while teaching the people an overdue lesson for supporting the central government in the context of predictable “birth pangs of the new Libya.”

Putin Just Made US Obsolete in the Middle East

So, now we know Russia, Iran, and Syria are all cooperating and now we also know Iraq HAS, in fact, joined the party! Gosh, and the poor United States now feels left out. Aww…Uncle Sammy wasn’t invited to the party? Now Obama and Kerry have been scrambling, trying to talk to Iran about Syria and Yemen. Iran probably feels like Kerry is trying to invite himself to the soiree and use the old “Iran invited me!” shtick to crash the party. Now here goes Obama saying, “Oh, um, well, we want to cooperate with Russia! Seriously! But, Assad still needs to go, you guys!” Yeah, still trying to save face after all this time, even though there’s egg all over it. Give it up, clowns. You just got outflanked. You lost this chess game for keeps.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is proof positive that you can never, ever believe anything the US government says, ever again.

DAMASCUS–MOSCOW – TEHERAN: BELARUS TO SEND MORE FORCES TO SYRIA; HUGE ARMY BUILDUP TO TAKE BACK JISR AL-SHUGHOOR

If Russia wants complete security for its forces and airbases in Syria, it must secure Jisr Al-Shughoor. And so, Syria’s National Security Adviser, Gen. Ali Mamlook, flew to Moscow on June 29, 2015 and met with his counterparts in the Russian Defense Ministry and the Kremlin. In September, Gen. Qaasim Sulaymaani traveled to Moscow to further shore up an agreement that would envision the arrival of Russian forces and materiel to Syria in order to finish off ISIS, Alqaeda/Nusra and the U.S. conspiracy. Why is Jisr Al-Shughoor important? Look at the map and see how it sits directly in the center of Syria’s huge agricultural valley called the Waadi Al-Ghaab. Look at how it is situated on the road which rises to the west all the way up the mountains and bypasses a large number of villages only to finally give terrorists an unobstructed view across the serene coastal mountains with trajectories capable of striking Russian military assets.

US support for Israel stokes terrorism worldwide, Rouhani says

Problems plaguing the Middle East, from Cairo to Kabul and Aden to Aleppo, are ultimately the product of American policy and its support for an "inhumane" Israel, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani told the United Nations on Monday.

Praising the nuclear deal reached in July with world powers as a "new and constructive way to recreate the international order," Rouhani said Iran is determined not to forget the past. But the Iranian people will not live in the past, either, he told the 70th gathering of the General Assembly, touting that his country is now open for business.

US On The Ropes: China To Join Russian Military In Syria While Iraq Strikes Intel Deal With Moscow, Tehran

Last Thursday, we asked if China was set to join Russia and Iran in support of the Assad regime in Syria.

Our interest was piqued when the pro-Assad Al-Masdar (citing an unnamed SAA “senior officer”), said Chinese “personnel and aerial assets” are set to arrive within weeks. To the uninitiated, this may seem to have come out of left field, so to speak. However, anyone who has followed the conflict and who knows a bit about the global balance of power is aware that Beijing has for some time expressed its support for Damascus, most notably by voting with Russia to veto a Security Council resolution that would have seen the conflict in Syria referred to the Hague.

Former IDF Chief: Discord in Israeli Society, Not Iran, Is Greatest Threat to Israel

Former IDF chief of staff Lt. Gen. (res.) Benny Gantz said on Friday that although a better deal could have been reached with Iran, the fact that its nuclear program will be delayed by 10-15 years "is a good thing."

Speaking in Washington at a memorial to former Haaretz journalist and military analyst Ze'ev Schiff, Gantz added that intelligence gathering on Iran's existing sites will only intensify as the deal is implemented.Gantz said Israel must maintain its military edge in the region, but added that there is no reason to worry as "Israel is strong and secure and knows how to defend itself."

According to the former army chief, Iran is not Israel's main problem, but a global problem first and foremost, then a regional one, "and only then an Israeli problem." The biggest, most important challenges facing Israel are the gaps and discord in Israeli society, he said.

Iran to buy Sukhoi Superjets from Russia

Russian media quoted Iranian officials as saying on Saturday that the two countries had signed deals worth a collective of $21 billion over the purchase of Russian satellite-related equipment as well as airplanes.

The deals were revealed by Manouchehr Manteghi, the managing director of Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO) in an interview with Sputnik news agency.

Manteghi said the airplanes were Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100), adding that the deals over the satellite equipment and the superjects were signed during the visit by a top Iranian delegation to Russia for the MAKS-2015 international air show.

Obama, Putin to meet at a defining moment

The Russian state agency TASS is not given to speculating on the Kremlin leader’s activities. It is a ground rule set by Joseph Stalin when the agency was created in 1925. Therefore, we must accept as ‘breaking news’ the TASS’ Washington dateline report quoting ‘an informed source’ to the effect that a meeting between Russian president Vladimir Putin and US resident Barack Obama will take place next week on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session.

Obama will do well to cut his way through the neocon shibboleth and comprehend that Russia has been largely reactive – be it in Ukraine, Syria or Afghanistan or on missile defence and the global strategic stability – whereas, the US has trampled on Russia’s vital and legitimate interests and core concerns like a rogue elephant. Amends need to be made. For far too long, Obama chose to tread the trodden path set by Bill Clinton and George W. Bush in the direction of ‘containment’ of Russia.

Iran’s ‘take’ on Russian build-up in Syria

Things were going splendidly for Israel until Russia arrived on the scene as the great ‘spoiler’.

The first detailed Iranian commentary on the Russian military build-up in Syria appeared in a Fars news agency piece.

The Iranian interpretation runs counter to the story being spread by Israel and right-wing American propagandists that the Russian forces intend to join the war in Syria.

The Israeli media even claimed that the Russian intervention in Syria is in active collaboration with the so-called Quds Force of the IRGC. The Israeli disinformation aims to put pressure on the Barack Obama administration not to coordinate with Russia over Syria.

Chinese President Xi Jinping surfs the USA in his first state visit almost simultaneously as Pope Francis. Now compare the Pentagon pivoting — the China chapter — with what IT America wants; business, a lot of business, which implies, obviously, no sanctions.

And then there’s what the Masters of the Universe really crave; some form of coercion that would lead Beijing to open its coveted financial market to the mega-speculative financial casino of the US Big Bank system. That is not happening — as the White House has absolutely no leverage on the matter.

National Defense Commander: Iran to Annihilate ISIL in Syria Soon

The US will no longer have an excuse for a war on terror!

TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior commander of Syria's national defense forces welcomed Tehran and Moscow' military aid to his country, and ensured that the ISIL terrorist group will soon be completely crushed by Iran.

"Iran's mighty presence in Syria will uproot the ISIL," Sheikh Fayez Abdolrahman Sheikh Namess told FNA on Thursday.

He said the Syrian nation welcomes Iran and Russia's presence and any friendly states' military power on their soil to fight against the terrorists.

"Today the Syrian people trust Russia and Iran more than the US and the regimes ruling the Sheikhdoms in the Persian Gulf region in the war on terrorism," Namess said.

Syrian officials have welcomed Iran and Russia's military assistance in campaign against terrorism.

Iran's Parchin nuclear myth begins to unravel

The Parchin stories have continued as if the impossibility of “sanitising” a site that had held nuclear material had not been revealed.

For well over three years, heavy doses of propaganda have created a myth about a purported steel cylinder for testing explosives located on a site at Iran’s Parchin military testing reservation. According to that storyline, Iran was refusing to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to inspect the site while it sought to hide its past nuclear weapons-related work.

Born In The USA: How America Created Iran's Nuclear Program

"The Iranian nuclear program has deep roots. In fact, it is four years older than President Obama," says Ali Vaez, the International Crisis Group's senior analyst for Iran. Vaez grew up in Iran, which means the nuclear program is a personal story for him.

"It started in 1957," he says, "and ironically, it is a creation of the United States. The U.S. provided Iran with its first research reactor — a nuclear reactor, a 5-megawatt nuclear reactor that is still functioning and still operational in Tehran."

The U.S. built that nuclear reactor in 1967 on the campus of Tehran University. It also provided Iran with fuel for that reactor — weapons-grade enriched uranium.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US provided nuclear technology to Iran while it was under the control of the US puppet ruler the Shah. The nuclear industry even bragged about the success of Iran's nuclear technology!

But the 1979 Iranian revolution kicked out the US puppet ruler and returned Iran to the Iranian people. And the US does not want nations that refuse US puppet rule to have modern technology.

The CSTO arrives in Iraq and Syria

by Thierry Meyssan

The intervention of the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organisation) against terrorism in Iraq and Syria may be the beginning of a world order based on the cooperation and defence of civilian populations, or, on the contrary, a period of East-West confrontation in which the West openly supports terrorism. Contrary to popular belief, this military deployment is aimed less at defending Iraq and the Syrian Arab Republic than the members of the CSTO themselves. It is therefore not negotiable. The debates in the UNO General Assembly and Security Council on the 30th September will reveal the response of Washinton and its allies. In any case, nothing will ever be the same.

Why the huge difference between US and the Brits?

Last summer, Israel launched Operation Protective Edge, a bloody war against Gaza that killed about 2,300 Palestinians, the vast majority of whom were civilians, including over 500 children. The attack also devastated Gaza’s infrastructure, and left about 500,000 people displaced or homeless. These war crimes and others, like Israel’s recent attack on the Freedom Flotilla, which sought to bring medical aid and solar panels to the Port of Gaza, have given rise to increased calls for Israel to be tried before the International Criminal Court.

The election of veteran socialist Jeremy Corbyn to lead the Labour Party in the UK is a revolution by all means. In a party grassroots election, the 66-year-old outsider defeated a line-up of traditional Labour candidates.

Iran Key to Unlocking US Hypocrisy on Global Terrorism

Iran’s three decades of battling Western state-sponsored terrorism within its borders...

The Iranian authorities claim to have compiled records of 17,000 victims of terrorism committed by such groups as MEK and Jundallah since the 1979 revolution. Details were presented at a recent international conference held in Tehran.

As well as ordinary citizens, such as Masoumeh’s mother mentioned above, the targets of assassination have included high-profile public figures: Iranian members of parliament, attorneys, government ministers, army generals and newspaper editors. In one of the most audacious attacks, in 1981, Iran’s prime minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar and the country’s president Modhammad Ali Rajai were both killed in a bomb blast carried out on the premier’s residence in the capital, Tehran.

All Republican Presidential Candidates Stand For War

There is not a peaceful person among the Republican candidates. Even the female is heartless.

Here is Carla Fiorina at the debate describing the way she will lead us to Armageddon. She won’t talk to Putin, but she will send him “the message” via military threats:

“Having met Vladimir Putin, I wouldn’t talk to him at all. We’ve talked way too much to him. What I would do, immediately, is begin rebuilding the Sixth Fleet, I would begin rebuilding the missile defense program in Poland, I would conduct regular, aggressive military exercises in the Baltic states. I’d probably send a few thousand more troops into Germany. Vladimir Putin would get the message. . . . Russia is a bad actor, but Vladimir Putin is someone we should not talk to, because the only way he will stop is to sense strength and resolve on the other side, and we have all of that within our control. We could rebuild the Sixth Fleet. I will. We haven’t. We could rebuild the missile defense program. We haven’t. I will.”

Peace in Syria? It’s Putin’s fault: Escobar

snip: After over four and a half years and immeasurable tragedy, the real face of this “Assad must go” regime change operation is the refugee crisis. Over 2 million out of 4 million Syrians fled to Turkey; Ankara recently released them en masse from holding camps on their way to the Balkans and the Teutonic Promised Land.

So Ankara is right at the center of the largest refugee crisis in Europe in 70 years. And so is Ankara-supporting Washington; ISIS/ISIL/Daesh captured all the weapons delivered with CIA help to that pathetic “Free Syrian Army” – as well as tanks and Humvees from the disjointed US-trained Iraqi Army. Any possible solution for relieving the refugee crisis while fighting ISIS/ISIL/Daesh must include cutting off Ankara’s myriad direct and indirect forms of “support” for the fake “Caliphate.”

Migrants, Refugees, Clandestines and… Jihadis

What else is new? The Empire of Chaos specializes in breaking, not fixing.

The plight of the refugees could become the perfect excuse to precipitate a new R2P (responsibility to protect) war; Libya remixed, with fighting ISIL barely disguising the real agenda: regime change in Damascus.

So Europe has suddenly, miraculously “discovered” that the civil war/proxy war raging in Syria since early 2011 has hemorrhaged into an extremely serious refugee crisis.

European Sturm und Drang on what to do about the refugee drama is unprecedented in modern times. Bitterness permeates the fault lines separating fear and intolerance from generosity and solidarity.

Among quite a few progressive circles, there are widespread fears that the current Western media campaign centered on the plight of refugees may be a catalyst to prepare European-wide public opinion for an all-out war in Syria before the end of 2015.

A Refugee Crisis Made in America – Philip Giraldi

Will the U.S. accept responsibility for the humanitarian consequences of Washington-manufactured wars?

It is perhaps past time for Washington to begin to become accountable for what it does.

The world media is following the refugee crisis by focusing primarily on the inability of unprepared local governments to deal with the numbers of migrants, asking why someone somewhere can’t just “do something.” This means that somehow, as a result, the vast human tragedy has been reduced to a statistic and, inevitably, a political football.

Israel is widely believed to be the sole possessor of a nuclear arsenal in the Middle East and has so far blatantly violated the international rules regarding nuclear non-proliferation. The Tel Aviv regime has never allowed any inspections of its nuclear facilities.

This is while a resolution calling for the monitoring of Israel’s nuclear activities and facilities failed to secure enough votes at the IAEA’s general assembly on Thursday.

Germany alongside Russia might indeed defend and help preserve the Assad government, together with Iran the two stabilizing factors in the Middle East.

As a parallel or backup plan, the unholy alliance between Washington, NATO and Turkey agreed to open Turkey’s flood gates for refugees, actually promoting the exodus to gain free reign in the safe heavens and to build up a mass of refugees – most of whom want to flee to Germany – which in the right moment could be let go and cause the right pressure or destabilization effects in Europe. Well, this is just happening.

Putin’s Line in the Sand: No Regime Change in Syria

By allowing US F-16s to patrol the skies over Syria, Washington will impose a de facto no-fly zone over the country severely limiting Assad’s ability to battle the US-backed militias that have seized large swaths of the countryside and are now descending on Damascus.

The Syrian war can be divided into two parts: The pre-Incirlik period and the post-Incirlik period. The pre-Incirlik period is roughly the four year stretch during which US-backed Islamic militias and al Qaida-linked groups fought the Syrian army with the intention of removing President Bashar al Assad from power. This first phase of the war ended in a draw.

US Senate Democrats block amendment linking Iran agreement to Israel

Democratic lawmakers in the US Senate have blocked a Republican attempt to sabotage the Iran nuclear agreement by linking it to Israel.

On Thursday, 45 senators voted against an amendment from Majority Leader Mitch McConnell that would have prevented President Barack Obama from lifting sanctions on Iran until the Islamic Republic recognizes the Israeli regime.

McConnell’s proposal, Iran would have to publicly recognize Israel’s right to exist, a demand which was made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Sixty votes were needed to approve the measure in the 100-member chamber.

Netanyahu has said that a final nuclear agreement with Iran must include a "clear and unambiguous Iranian recognition of Israel's right to exist."

Austria joins growing voices that say Assad must be part of Syrian solution

The West should involve Syria's President Bashar al-Assad and his allies Iran and Russia in order to combat Islamic State, Austria's foreign minister said on Tuesday, in some of the most conciliatory comments towards Assad by a Western official. Most Western countries insist Syria's president must leave power if peace is to be restored, while Iran and Russia say he is part of the solution. That disagreement has derailed efforts to end the four-year civil war. "We need a pragmatic common approach in this respect including the involvement of Assad in the fight against Islamic State terror," Sebastian Kurz told reporters during a state visit to Tehran.

Teheran – The Harder They Come

Why should I care whether Iran has nukes? It most likely doesn’t, but even if it does, it would be fine with me. Iran never attacked anyone, never overthrew any foreign government, and never experimented on human beings. It did not commit genocide and never dreamed about conquering the world.

In brief – it is doing exactly the opposite of what the West has been doing for centuries.

I departed from Teheran only few days ago. What I remember; what remained in my mind is kindness and warmth of Iranian people, as well as glimpses of their enormous culture.

Do I want this culture to disappear, to be destroyed, or replaced by aggressive Western consumerism, arrogance and lack of compassion? I certainly don’t! I want it to survive, I want it to to thrive, as I want the great Chinese, Arab, Russian and Latin American cultures to survive and thrive.

A US petition calling for Netanyahu’s arrest

The advantage of an official White House petition is the promise of official recognition and response if the goal is met.

Benjamin Netanyahu is to hold talks in New york this September. Under international law he should be arrested for war crimes upon arrival in the U.S for the massacre of over 2000 civilians in 2014

SIGNATURES NEEDED BY OCTOBER 08, 2015 TO REACH GOAL OF 100,000

97,141

TOTAL SIGNATURES ON THIS PETITION

2,859

There are still only 2800 or so signatures. Why the huge difference between us and the Brits? Are American activists so jaded or discouraged?

A Fly in the Ointment of Colbert’s Opening Show

We will be watching Stephen Colbert to see where his comedy takes him next.

While awaiting the final congressional vote that will confirm that President Obama has defeated the Zionist juggernaut which spent millions to block the Iran Nuclear deal, we must pause to consider a major moment in entertainment television.

The entertainment news has to do with the CBS network arrival of Stephen Colbert, who last week succeeded David Letterman as host of The Late Show (11:30 EST).

Even there, alas, the Zionist juggernaut lurks. You will have to look closely to see it, but there was a fly in the ointment of the otherwise successful launch of the next chapter of Colbert’s career.

Supporters of the BDS movement were quick to identify the fly.

RECKLESS HYPOCRISY – The Folly of Self-Righteous Indignation

Iran has not been and is not intending to build a nuclear arsenal; but who can admit that fact – Obama, Clinton, Kerry?

Could we expect President Obama to confess that Iran’s nuclear ambitions to develop a bomb has been a politically motivated fictional narrative serving other purposes? Could he advocate the idea that replacing Israel with Iran would be the most “advantageous” step to pursue America’s true strategic interests in the Middle East? No, not in this lifetime!

Therefore, the hardline, even sounding like a born again-neoconservative, rhetoric by Hillary Clinton that the United States under her presidency would take an extremely hawkish position against any Iranian intransigence is as genuine a threat as threatening to nuke Iran if the Supreme Leader jumps over the moon!! Iran has not been and is not intending to build a nuclear arsenal; but who can admit that fact – Obama, Clinton, Kerry?

Are Neocons an Existential Threat?

No one dares confront the existential question of whether the United States and the world can continue to tolerate and accommodate the neoconservatives.

Despite a record of unprecedented error, American neocons remain the dominant foreign policy force in Official Washington, demanding more “regime change” in the Middle East and a new Cold War that could heat up and end all life on the planet.

Next Hurdle for Iran Deal: AIPAC’s Plan B (Endorsed by Post)

AIPAC’s Plan B—codified in the “Iran Policy Oversight Act of 2015” of Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD)—is now definitely in the cards (pun intended) and will pose the next major obstacle to the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Program of Action (JCPOA) between Iran and the P5+1. Those who are focusing on what the Republicans are planning, such as the ludicrous idea of suing the president for allegedly failing to submit to Congress an agreement between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iran, are missing the point. The game now is to presume unanimous Republican support for any bill that the White House opposes and to get a sufficient number of Democrats who are nervous about their vote on Thursday to sign on to something approximating Cardin’s bill, including at least a couple of its numerous “poison pills,” to ensure a veto-proof majority.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to the voters of Maryland: you know now by whom Cardin is owned.

He no longer cares anything about your needs and concerns; only about those of a foreign government, Israel, which supports him overtly and covertly.

In the next election, where he is running, I hope the good citizens of Maryland will give this guy the boot, and remind the other alleged "congressional representatives" funded by AIPAC that supporting Israel may well be what gets your kicked out of Congress in the next election cycle.

Sen. Corker: Senate Could Override Veto on Iran Sanctions

In the face of another looming defeat on trying to block the P5+! nuclear deal with Iran, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair Bob Corker (R – TN) is focused instead on the upcoming vote on the extension of the Iran Sanctions Act.

The act is set to expire next year, and the bill would extend it another decade. There’s little disagreement in Congress about this, though President Obama has objected to pushing a vote right now on the grounds the timing would make the US look like it’s averse to the nuclear deal.

Sen. Corker suggests that the extension vote could come soon, and that he is confident the Senate could get the 67 votes needed to override a presidential veto, though again there’s been no indication a veto might come unless the legislation is dramatically altered in a way to threaten the nuclear deal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There have been many criticisms I have had about Obama's foreign policy stances; the Iran deal, however, is not one of them.

However, extending the sanctions could very well make the deal a non-starter for the Iranian government, which would be an absolute shame.

Iran hopes for Russia’s assistance in financing a project for the construction of two new power units at the Bushehr nuclear power plant, Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), told journalists on Tuesday on the sidelines of the 59th general conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
He said the Iranian side had met with Russia’s Rosatom CEO Sergey Kiriyenko to discuss a number of projects, including the Bushehr-1 nuclear plant that had already been commissioned. Campus is seen as next battleground against Iran Deal — by ‘rightwing fanatics’

Pro Israel campus groups are top-down affairs controlled by outside lobbying groups and big time donors. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee and Hillel work together to train student activists. The agendas are established by groups such as Stand With Us (SWU).

None of this program is new or surprising. But it’s causing a schism over the Iran Deal. According to a Times of Israel op-ed by Tracy Frydberg, titled “Pro-Israel campus groups worry Iran deal debate will end in ‘anti-Semitic hatefest“, a new directive has been given to students to place opposition to the Iran Deal as a primary focus of their campus activism and claims: “there is little room for dissent or even discussion over the merits of supporting the Iran deal”.

And students aren’t happy about it. According to student activist Justin Hayet:

“The Iran deal can’t define Israel activism… The pro-Israel community is increasingly being perceived as [a group of] right-wing fanatics.”

Israel's Agent of Influence

“An agent of influence is an agent of some stature who uses his or her position to influence public opinion or decision making to produce results beneficial to the country whose intelligence service operates the agent.” So goes the book definition but any experienced intelligence officer will note that there are degrees of cooperation and direction in such a relationship. The agent might be fully controlled and on a salary or he or she might be very loosely guided, ideologically motivated but cautious and reluctant to receive any favors in return. The key is that the agent has to be acting on behalf of the interests of the foreign government, which will at least some of the time mean working directly against the interests of his own.

Burned alive by Israelis

Incinerating humans whether in a gas chamber, military attack, by injecting petrol into the mouth or throwing a torch through a window all have one thing in common: burning is how racists manifest hate.

Five years ago at a stop during my book signing tour in San Diego, I met an adorable toddler named Farah.

She was being treated in the US for severe burns she received at the age of two.

Farah was one of thousands of civilians who were either injured or killed when Israel rained white phosphorus bombs on Gaza in 2008-2009.

The phosphorus that burned through Farah’s angelic flesh was American made and paid for by US taxpayers. Ironically, so was Farah’s treatment.

Last Sunday, mother of two Reham Dewabsha died from burn injuries.

Some Iranian nuclear program control measures may be cancelled in 2-3 years — source

A number of redundant control measures over the Iranian nuclear program, envisaged by the agreement between Tehran and the six major powers (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) may be cancelled in 2-3 years, a diplomatic source in one of the "sextet" delegations told TASS on Monday on the sidelines of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA).
"If Iran fulfills its obligations and the international community has confidence in Iran’s serious intention to fulfil them, then part of the excess mechanisms may be cancelled," he said, adding that they are the control mechanisms that go beyond the requirements of the Additional Protocol to the IAEA Safeguards Agreement.

Netanyahu to embarrass Obama in upcoming US visit: Analyst

“Ultimately Netanyahu is embarrassing Obama in the form of coming to speak to Congress against Obama’s Iran deal, in the form of his underhanded tactics towards Obama in trying to sway public opinion in the US and most importantly the opinion in the US Congress,” he maintained.

Obama has aggressively countered the Israeli premier’s arguments against the Iran nuclear agreement, characterizing opponents as warmongers.

Ties between the two leaders have also been strained because of Netanyahu’s opposition to the creation of a Palestinian state, a key element of US foreign policy regarding the conflict.

GOP ‘Revolt’ Delays Iran Deal Vote

With the Senate now having enough votes to block a resolution against the P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran, the Republican leadership was seeking a consolation prize with a vote in the House, even though without the Senate version it is meaningless. The House vote was announced for 9/11, but now appears to be indefinitely postponed in the face of right-wing opposition.

The issue seems to stem from an “uprising” in the Freedom Caucus, which is demanding a whole set of bills against the deal, including one from Rep. Peter Roskam (R – IL) complaining that the White House didn’t submit the terms of any side deals between Iran and the IAEA, meaning that the review process wasn’t legally met.

John McCain 'overjoyed' Israel has nuclear weapons

Republican Senator and former presidential hopeful John McCain said on Tuesday that he was "overjoyed" that Israel possesses nuclear weapons to guard against regional threats.

McCain, who is supporting the rejection of the nuclear deal with Iran penned in July, said that he was happy Israel had "nuclear weapons in light of Iran's aggressive stance".

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran's aggressive stance? Is McCain on drugs?!?

Since the 1979 Iranian revolution and the downfall of the US Puppet Ruler the Shah, Iran has been an Islamic state. In that interval of time, 1979 to the present, Iran has not invaded anyone. Not once. In fact Iran has not launched a war of aggression against another nation in 200 years. War is not their nature. People of all religions live in peace in Iran, even Jews, who find life so comfortable in Iran they refused an offer by the government of Israel to emigrate!

In the same period of time, Israel, a self-declared Jewish state, attacked Iraq in 1981, bombing the power station at Osirik, claiming it was a clandestine weapons factory. Subsequent examination of the ruins following the 2003 invasion proved Israel had lied. In 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon. This led to the Massacres at Sabra and Shatilla. In February 2003 Israel staged incursions into Gaza and Nablus. In September 2007 Israel bombed Syria, again insisting they were destroying a clandestine weapons laboratory. Again there was no evidence to support Israel's claims. In 2006, Israel attacked Lebanon, killing 1200, mostly civilians, several UN observers, and littering the landscape with land mines on their way out. In February 2008 Israel again raided Gaza, killing over 100. HAMAS agreed to a cease fire and kept it for 6 months until November 4, when Israel again attacked without warning, killing 6 HAMAS members, and launching operation CAST LEAD. 1300 Gazans, mostly civilians, were killed. Israel lost 13 soldiers. Violations of international law included the use of White Phosphorus incendiary bombs against civilians and non-military targets. The United Nations investigated, but Israel refused to cooperate. In May 2010, Israel attacked an international aid flotilla bringing food and medical supplies to Gaza in international waters. 9 people were murdered including an American from New York. In June 2014, citing as their excuse the murder of three teenagers in the West Bank (which even the West Bank police said were not linked to HAMAS), Israel launched operation PROTECTIVE EDGE, bombing Gaza into rubble, again refusing to cooperate with UN investigators, and ultimately refusing to keep to the terms of the cease fire.

In the same period of time, the United States, officially a secular nation but predominantly Christian, attacked El Salvador (1980), Libya (1981), Sinai (1982), Lebanon (1982 1983), Egypt (1983), Grenada (1983), Honduras (1983), Chad (1983), Persian Gulf (1984), Libya (1986) , Bolivia (1986), Iran (1987), Persian Gulf (1987), Kuwait (1987), Iran (1988), Honduras (1988), Panama (1988), Libya (1989), Panama (1989), Colombia, Bolivia, and Peru (1989), Philippines (1989), Panama (1989-1990), Liberia (1990), Saudi Arabia (1990), Iraq (1991), Zaire (1991), Sierra Leone (1992), Somalia (1992), Bosnia-Herzegovina (1993 to present), Macedonia (1993), Haiti (1994), Macedonia (1994), Bosnia (1995), Liberia (1996), Central African Republic (1996), Albania (1997), Congo/Gabon (1997), Sierra Leon (1997), Cambodia (1997), Iraq (1998), Guinea/Bissau (1998), Kenya/Tanzania (1998 to 1999), Afghanistan/Sudan (1998), Liberia (1998), East Timor (1999), Serbia (1999), Sierra Leon (2000), Yemen (2000), East Timor (2000), Afghanistan (2001 to present), Yemen (2002), Philippines (2002) , Cote d'Ivoire (2002), Iraq (2003 to present), Liberia (2003), Georgia/Djibouti (2003), Haiti (2004), Georgia/Djibouti/Kenya/Ethiopia/Yemen/Eritrea War on Terror (2004), Pakistan drone attacks (2004 to present), Somalia (2007), South Ossetia/Georgia (2008), Syria (2008), Yemen (2009 and 2015), Haiti (2010), Libya (2011), Syria (2011), Ukraine (2014), Iraq (2015), etc. etc. etc. etc.

House Plans 9/11 Iran Vote as GOP Looks to Undermine Nuclear Deal

While the announcement that 42 senators are now supporting the P5+1 nuclear deal means the Republican leadership has no chance of getting a vote against the deal through Congress, they have indicated that they still intend to hold a vote in the House, tentatively scheduled for 9/11.

Indications are that 11 hours of debate over three days are planned to culminate with this vote, and without the chance of a filibuster, as in the Senate, a resolution condemning the nuclear deal will almost certainly pass, though without the accompanying bill in the Senate, it will be wholly meaningless.

It will, however, set the stage for another round of pushes to undermine the deal, with Republican presidential candidates planning more speeches condemning the pact, and Congressional leaders trying to come up with legislation that might survive a veto that would make it harder for the US to implement its part of the deal.

How Neocons Destabilized Europe

It will not be easy to rid the world of the grave dangers created by neocon policies.

The neocon prescription of endless “regime change” is spreading chaos across the Middle East and now into Europe, yet the neocons still control the mainstream U.S. narrative and thus have diagnosed the problem as not enough “regime change.”

The refugee chaos that is now pushing deep into Europe – dramatized by gut-wrenching photos of Syrian toddler Aylan Kurdi whose body washed up on a beach in Turkey – started with the cavalier ambitions of American neocons and their liberal-interventionist sidekicks who planned to remake the Middle East and other parts of the world through “regime change.”

The new Republican strategy is based on this provision, claiming that confidential agreements made between the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency and Iran— on which implementation of the JCPOA relies— constitute "side agreements" between "Iran and any other parties."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Read this carefully.

Boehner thought he had the House GOP vote locked and learned today this is just not so. So now he wants to stall for time to give Israel and AIPAC more time to bribe, blackmail, or otherwise coerce members of Congress to bow to Tel Aviv's will!

In this act of desperation to serve Israel, Boehner is taking the position that the sixty day clock has not started because Congress was not given confidential United Nations and IAEA documents that the US Government is not entitled to receive in the first place!

Boehner will eventually lose if this goes to the Supreme Court, but in the meantime, Israel has more time to prove to the world that they and not the American people, control the US Government.

Are you comfortable with that?

Me neither!

Clinton Wraps Last-Minute Endorsement of Iran Deal with Hawkish Threats of Military Force

In a speech addressing the pending Iran nuclear agreement on Wednesday, presidential hopeful and former Sectary of State Hillary Clinton provided a glimpse into the possible militaristic future of the United States if, as she said, "I am in the White House."

Vote on Iran Postponed over House GOP Revolt

Divisions among House Republicans threw scheduled votes against the Iran nuclear accord into disarray Wednesday as other foes, including presidential contender Donald Trump, prepared a big rally outside the Capitol. Democratic front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton praised the deal in a speech not far away.

The drama unfolded on a day when the presidential campaign was colliding head-on with the congressional debate on the Iran deal, which is strongly backed by the Obama administration and other world powers. It aims to curb Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for billions of dollars in relief from international economic sanctions.

House GOP leaders were forced to delay plans to open debate on a resolution of disapproval as some Republicans threatened to withhold their support. Frustrated that the disapproval resolution looked short of support in the Senate, these Republicans were demanding an alternate approach.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Latest word is the vote will take place on 9-11!

House GOP to postpone vote on Iran after member revolt

House Republican leaders are delaying a vote on the Iran nuclear deal scheduled for Wednesday because of a rebellion from rank-and-file conservatives.

The House was to hold a procedural vote to begin 11 hours of debate on a resolution disapproving the deal at 1 p.m. Instead, they will gather at 4 p.m. to discuss strategy.

How Neocons Destabilized Europe

It will not be easy to rid the world of the grave dangers created by neocon policies.

The neocon prescription of endless “regime change” is spreading chaos across the Middle East and now into Europe, yet the neocons still control the mainstream U.S. narrative and thus have diagnosed the problem as not enough “regime change,”

Sheldon Adelson Is Ready to Buy the Presidency

In a few weeks, when the nuclear deal Barack Obama negotiated with Iran comes before Congress, it’s all but certain that not a single Republican will vote in support of it. With the possible exception of Maine’s Susan Collins, who has yet to reveal her position, each of the 246 Republicans in the House and 53 Republicans in the Senate has indicated his or her opposition to the deal. Not that a mere vote could possibly express the intensity of even that unanimous opposition — or the fervid support for Israel that lies behind it. “It is a fundamental betrayal of the security of the United States and of our closest allies, first and foremost Israel,” Texas senator and GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz has said. Cruz’s 16 Republican-primary opponents have denounced the deal in similar terms. One of them, Mike Huckabee, has gone so far as to argue that Obama “will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.”

Senior Israeli Officials: Netanyahu's Fight Against Iran Deal Not a Failure

Even though Obama gained the support of 41 senators in favor of the nuclear agreement, sources claim PM was instrumental in changing American public opinion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem is that the American people saw that Israel was trying to sway their opinion about Iran. Just like Israel did with Iraq, telling us all to be afraid of Iraq's nuclear weapons, which turned out not to exist!

Fool me once!

Worse for Israel, We The People saw how Israel's whores in Congress clearly serve Israel rather than We The People. Iran didn't like being under foreign puppet rule. Neither did Cuba, Chile, Yemen, Iraq, etc. What makes anyone think the American people are going to like it, now that we see our foreign ruler for who they are, and the puppet strings running through the Congress! A little over a year from now We The People will have a chance to peacefully scrub the entire House of Representatives and 1/3 of the Senate of Israel's whores. I suggest we make good use of it!

US Tries to Stop Russian Humanitarian Mission to Syria – German Media

The US ordered Bulgaria to close its airspace to Russian humanitarian aircraft headed to Syria in a bid to tighten control over the situation in the war-torn country.

The measure sparked justified outrage in Russia which is determined to curb the Islamist threat near its borders, the German media outlet Telepolis reported.

The future of the Syrian conflict depends on Moscow and Washington, the journalist wrote.

Too late: Iran has just offered its airspace for shipments of humanitarian aid to Syria!

In Damage Control Mode, Cory Booker Invites Jews to Emergency Summit

The Observer has learned that Senator Cory Booker, who is under fire from Jewish supporters who had long treated him as one of their own, has convened an unusual emergency meeting to shore up his support in the wake of his decision to support President Obama’s deal with Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is more than just a fight over the P5+1 deal. This is a fight over who runs the United States, Israel or We The People. If you can, please support Cory Booker. We have to break free of our slavery to Israel!

7 Middle East crises that are a bigger problem than Iran’s nuclear program

The Obama administration secured vital support for the Iran deal this week, after it emerged that at least 42 senators endorsed the proposed agreement, announced in July in Vienna at a summit between Iran and world powers. The White House likely won't have to veto a congressional bill aimed against it, meaning the pact's smooth passage is now more or less a fait accompli.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It isn't over yet. Netanyahu is desperate enough to try a false-flag stunt of some kind and frame Iran for it.

Perfect Duo: Russia, Iran May Create New Way to Deliver Humanitarian Aid to Syria
Iran has satisfied all of Russia's requests and opened the country's airspace for the delivery of humanitarian supplies to Syria, the Russian Embassy in the Islamic Republic told RIA Novosti.
"Several requests have been sent [to allow Russian aid flights to Syria via Iran's airspace] and the Iranian side approved all of them," the embassy's press attaché Maksim Suslov said.

He emphasized that it "concerns only the delivery of humanitarian aid."

Tom Cotton Is Desperate For Dick Cheney's Validation On Iran Deal

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) has tried so very hard to destroy the Iran deal.

First, he ditched the softer rhetoric of the deal's other critics, who said they supported the talks between the U.S., five fellow world powers and Iran but simply didn't trust that the agreement would be strong enough. Cotton made it clear that he wanted to increase sanctions -- taking a step that the Obama administration warned would shatter nuclear diplomacy -- precisely so that he could put the U.S. on a path to causing regime change in Tehran. The end of peaceful negotiations was "a feature, not a bug" of the sanctions proposal, he told an audience at the Heritage Foundation in January.

3 readings on the Iran nuclear deal and the Palestinians

Since the final agreement was signed in June, Israel and its US lobby have escalated their campaign to undermine it, putting out a great deal of outlandish and lurid propaganda.

One of the main claims is that past failures in preventing nuclear proliferation in India, Pakistan and North Korea serve as warnings that this deal too will fail.

In the venerable Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, Leonard Weiss, a lead Senate staffer on the Nuclear Nonproliferation Act of 1978, and now a visiting scholar at Stanford University, debunks this argument as put forward by David Harris, executive director of leading Israel lobby group the American Jewish Committee.

Cheney: Nuke Deal Enables Iran to Eradicate Israel In ‘One Day’

Former Vice President Dick Cheney warned that the recently inked nuclear deal with Iran is “madness” and that it will enable the Islamic Republic to wage a new Holocaust against Israel that would destroy the Jewish state in just “one day.”

“This deal gives Tehran the means to launch a nuclear attack on the U.S. homeland, it threatens the security of our Arab allies across the middle east, it threatens the security of Europe, and it should not be forgotten this deal has vast implications for the future security of the Jewish people,” Cheney said during a speech Monday morning at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI).

Dick Cheney Floats Military Action As Alternative To Obama's Iran Deal

In a speech slamming President Obama's Iran deal -- which Congress is debating this week -- former Vice President Dick Cheney suggested that only the threat of military action could prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapons program.

"As soon as President Obama went on Israeli TV and effectively ruled out the option of force, the Iranians knew that they had won," Cheney said, speaking Tuesday at the American Enterprise Institute.

Instead, Cheney said, the U.S. should have insisted that Iran halt its enrichment processes, halt its ballistics program, agree to anytime-anywhere inspections, and provide an accounting of its nuclear program.

"If Iran chooses not to do so, they must understand the U.S. stands ready to take military action to ensure they do not acquire a nuclear weapon," Cheney said, receiving applause from the audience. He went on to outline previous circumstances when the U.S. and its allies used force to attack a country's nuclear weapons program.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, the incompetent Liar Incarnate, Tricky Dickey Cheney, who never saw a potential war he didn't love (as long as other people's kids were fighting in it), is advocating war against Iran as an alternative to Obama's and the P5+1's agreement with Iran?!?

Let's back up here and talk some sense, shall we?!?

First, Israel is a nuclear armed nation, and has been since the late 80s; Mordechai Vanunu blew the whistle on Israel's nuclear weapons program, for which he was jailed in solitary confinement for years by the Israeli government, for having the temerity to tell the truth on this issue.

I would postulate that although the Iranian leadership might be many things, one of them is not stupid. They fully understand that a nuclear attack against Israel would result in such a fierce US/Israeli retaliation strike that would cause Iran be bombed back to the stone age, and the country would be turned into a sea of molten glass.

Call me silly, but I cannot believe that this is the outcome the Iranian leadership wants for their country.

But there is another elephant in the living room, snoring gently, draped over the Bosendorfer piano; that is Russia, which Cheney, in his ranting, ignores completely.

Russian military and civilian leadership has stated, consistently, that should Iran be attacked, Russia will come to its aid militarily.

War with Russia over Iran, Mr. Vice President?!?This could well be the outcome if the US attacks Iran.

And you, of all people, sir have to know that the US military does not have the troop strength, the money, or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome with a conventional war against Russia.

It’s time to reopen the American and Iranian embassies and promote reconciliation

To paraphrase British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond at a ceremony the other day here in Tehran to mark the reopening of his country’s embassy, as Iran reopened its embassy in London, removing the barriers from the Iranian and American embassies is the logical next step for our countries.

And it will help build confidence and trust between two great nations. This observer submits that both the Iranian and American people are ready for reconciliation.

And we should direct our leaders accordingly.

Dogs of Western resentment bark as Chinese WWII parade passes

The importance for China of this coming Thursday’s parade celebrating the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII in the Asia-Pacific cannot be overstated enough.

The parade rolling past Tiananmen Square officially celebrates the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. This is an extremely serious – and sensitive – business for 1.4 billion Chinese and the Chinese diaspora all across the world.

And once again, the West – displaying trademark cultural/historical insensitivity – has blown it. Beijing is carefully scrutinizing the diplomatic ramifications of shows and no-shows. Symbolically, absences speak volumes.

President Vladimir Putin will be in Beijing, as well as leaders of the four Central Asian ‘stans’ that are part of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Sanctioned Terrorism

…we must fight sanctioned terrorism today.

What is left unmentioned and unrecognized in our collective psyche is the kind of terrorism that has been deliberately obfuscated: sanctioned terrorism or terrorism with a license – sanctions.

Shamelessly, even after sanctioned terrorism took the life of one million Iraqis, the UNSC licensed terrorism against Iran – sanctions, without any remorse for the lost lives of 1 million Iraqi victims of sanctioned terrorism and untold numbers or other victims across the globe.

The overall failure to identify and deliberately obfuscate this act of terrorism has enabled this premeditated act of terrorism to continue with impunity. The success of this deception is owed to controlling the narrative with complicity from the media. This has been so effective that even the victims of sanctioned terrorism fail to grasp that they are being subjected to terrorism.

Terrorism is foundation of Israeli regime: Rouhani

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani says the Israeli regime has been founded and continues to survive on terrorism.

President Rouhani made the remark at an international conference commemorating the Iranian victims of terrorism in the capital, Tehran, on Monday.

“This regime (Tel Aviv) began its work on the basis of intimidation, terror and occupation, and is continuing [to move on] the same anti-human path today,” Rouhani said.

In his keynote speech, the president also referred to Takfiri groups, including Daesh, Taliban and Boko Haram, as other sources of terrorism in the region.

Blowback on a NATO beach – Pepe Escobar

We’ve had it coming from the beginning.

And when it came, virtually the whole planet reacted with stunned silence. Sometimes it takes just a photograph to put a noxiously complex version of hell in perspective.

We’ve had it coming when the “we’re the new OPEC” Bush administration invaded, occupied and destroyed Iraq – creating the set-up for the establishment of Al-Qaeda in Iraq.

We’ve had it coming when the Petraeus surge bribed Sunnis to half-heartedly fight Al-Qaeda in Iraq – which then took its time to reorganize in the heart of the desert, change its name to Islamic State and plot a comeback.

We’ve had it coming when NATO, enthusiastically “led” by London and Paris, and allied with hardcore Salafi-jihadis, set out to duly “liberate” Libya into a failed state run by militias.

82 new US-trained Syrians prepare for fighting

Coalition is rotten at its core! Time to change the players and game itself to create a shot at success.

A US military source has revealed in private conversation that the US-led Coalition formed to target the Islamic State (IS) and other terrorist groups is currently training 82 new recruits for its Syria operations. These include 12 new fighters in Jordan and 70 in Turkey.

A spokeswoman for the US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM), Major Genieve David, would not confirm these numbers. “We are not giving out numbers due to operational security concerns,” she said via phone.

But Turkey’s Foreign Minister Minister Mevlut Çavu?o?lu’s comment a few days ago that “in the second group we have around 100 (fighters)” suggests that the source’s numbers are likely to be accurate.

It is uncertain, anyway, if all 82 trainees will graduate from the Coalition training program.”

Russia and Syria: The Die Is Cast

Hope the Russians will bring peace to Syria and the refugees will return home.

Despite doubts and denials, Russia is about to embark on an ambitious expansion of its Syrian presence, likely to change the game in the war-torn country. Russia’s small and dated naval repair facility in Tartous will be enlarged, while Jableh near Latakia (Laodicea of old) will become the Russian Air Force base and a full-blown Russian Navy base in the Eastern Mediterranean, beyond the narrow Bosphorus straits. The jihadi multitudes besetting Damascus are likely to be beaten into obedience and compliance, and the government of President Assad relieved from danger and siege. The war with Da’esh (ISIS) is to provide the cover for this operation. This is the first report of this fateful development, based on confidential and usually reliable Russian sources in Moscow

Obama Defeats Netanyahu In Iran Accord Battle

Benjamin Netanyahu’s AIPAC-controlled U.S. minions lost their battle to destroy President Obama’s nuclear accord with Iran and the P1-5 world powers.

A final, crucial vote was announced when Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-Md) became the 34th Democratic Senator to support the carefully constructed firewall needed to sustain a Barack Obama veto.

One day later, Senator Cory A. Booker (D-NJ) padded Obama’s veto-proof party vote with his support of the accord. With Mikulski and Booker on board, Obama now has 35 Senators who will vote to defeat a Republican-backed resolution of disapproval.

The Attack on the Nuclear Deal, the Israel Factor, and the Iran Peace Scare

Although there is no firm evidence that Iran ever had a nuclear weapons program, the agreement puts that country under the toughest type of inspections in the history of nuclear non-proliferation.

American critics are going all out to derail President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, which also involves the other four permanent members of the UN Security Council — Britain, France, China, and Russia — plus Germany. (This group is referred to as the “P5 + 1,” in which the U.S. has taken the lead in negotiating with Iran.)
