Iran Deal: Will Israel and Republican America Force the US to Back Out?

While not exactly the same, the framework of this agreement is fairly similar to the recent (July 2015) deal that the P5+1 agreed with Iran (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPA). In essence both agreements placed a restriction on nuclear activity in return for relief from trade sanctions. However while the DPRK accepted and adhered to their side of the agreement, the US never successfully completed any of the promises that were made, failing to construct a single LWR (construction did not begin until August of 2002 and was halted indefinitely by late-2002, even though the scheduled completion date was 2003), failing to deliver fuel as promised and failing to ease any of the trade sanctions that had been in place since the Korean War.

Analysis: Satellite imagery undermines claims that Iran is 'sanitising' Parchin facility

The US intelligence community has leaked fresh claims that Iran is attempting to 'sanitise' its Parchin weapons production facility ahead of inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). However, satellite imagery published by a US think tank shows there has been no work at the building that it previously identified as the alleged location of an explosives containment chamber used to conduct tests related to nuclear weapons.

The IAEA published a report in November 2011 that cited intelligence submitted by an unidentified member state as saying that Iran "constructed a large explosives containment vessel in which to conduct hydrodynamic experiments" there in 2000.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran has become a world leader in the creation of synthetic industrial diamonds, and the "hydrodynamic experiments" were reported to be part of that process, something Iran would want to keep out of the hands of potential competitors for purely commercial reasons.

From Currency Wars To Oil Wars - OPEC Ups Production To 3 Year Highs As Iran Output Surges

As China takes the currency wars to the next level, so OPEC, not to be outdone, rotates the oil war volume to 11. As Bloomberg reports, OPEC pumped the most crude last month in more than three years as Iran restored output to the highest level since international sanctions were strengthened in 2012. The response - as one would expect - is a plunge in crude prices, erasing all the ridiculous algo-driven gains of yesterday, pushing WTI back on the verge of a $42 handle.

Iran deal rejection may damage dollar, says US' Kerry

The dollar may cease to be the global reserve currency if US lawmakers walk away from the Iran nuclear deal, Secretary of State John Kerry said Tuesday.

"That is a recipe, very quickly, my friends, business people here, for the American dollar to cease to be the reserve currency of the world, which is already bubbling out there", Kerry told reporters at Reuters news agency's offices in New York.

Schumer: If US quits deal, US sanctions will still put 'meaningful pressure' on Tehran

The lone Democratic senator to publicly oppose President Barack Obama's nuclear agreement with Iran said Tuesday that even if the U.S. backs away and other countries lift their sanctions, Iran still will feel "meaningful pressure" from the U.S. penalties.

The deal between would curb Iran's nuclear program in exchange for billions of dollars in relief from crippling sanctions.

New York Sen. Chuck Schumer's view sharply contrasts with European leaders who have told U.S. lawmakers that if Congress were to reject the deal, the international sanctions would unravel, undermining global pressure on Iran.

Schumer also said that sanctions aimed at companies that do business with Iran could force U.S. allies and trade partners back to the negotiating table.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to Senator Schumer; in opposing this deal, you have made it painfully obvious to your "alleged" constituents that your are an unregistered representative of a foreign country.

That country is Israel, and you are only here to do Netanyahu's bidding in this issue, treating your constituents with absolute, utter contempt.

I am a vocal critic of many of President Obama's policy decisions, but this is not one of them.

The deal will neutralize Iran's capabilities to build a nuclear bomb. Many scientists and American military have come out in favor of this deal.

But you oppose it because your real allegiance is to Tel Aviv, NOT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, and Tel Aviv is doing, and will do, anything possible to derail the deal.

No man can serve two masters, Senator; and you have demonstrated, clearly, with whom your allegiance lies, and that is neither to this government, nor to the people your allegedly represent, nor the rest of We the People.

White House, Allies Accuse Jewish Lawmakers of Dual Loyalty to Israel

Obama administration allies lobbying in favor of a recently signed nuclear deal with Iran are smearing Jewish lawmakers and opponents of the accord with allegations of dual loyalty to Israel, rhetoric many view as anti-Semitic, according to allegations leveled by these individuals and groups.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So anyone who objects to the US Government serving a foreign power ahead of their own country is an anti-Semite? That's a bit of a stretch!

No government can serve two masters, and a government that serves Israel cannot, does not, and will not serve the American people. A friend of Israel is no friend of America. In these dark times America needs leaders who will put America first, second, and third!

The Centerpiece of US Foreign Policy Struggle

The basic question for all Americans is whether we will act as an independent, sovereign country pursuing peace through diplomacy, as we currently see unfolding with Iran and Cuba, or a submissive military instrument, directed by Israel’s proxies hell-bent on destroying America for Israel.

While many US intellectuals, liberals, progressives and leftists support the US-Iran agreement (see the Scientists’ Letter to Obama on Iran Nuclear Deal, Aug. 8, 2015 with 29 top scholars and Nobel laureates support diplomacy), few would dare to identify and attack Israel’s US proxies as they promote Tel Aviv’s agenda pushing the US to war with Iran. A brief glance through the sectarian left press, for example, The Socialist Register, New Politics, New Left Review, finds no discussion of the powerful, well-financed, highly organized, elite-driven Israeli proxies and their role in determining US wars in the Middle East, and more specifically the war agenda toward Iran.

170,000 Americans sign petition condemning Jewish senator over Iran

More than 170,000 Americans have signed a petition condemning Jewish Senator Charles Schumer’s open hostility towards the Iran nuclear agreement.

In a major break with the White House, Senator Schumer from New York announced on Thursday that he would vote against the conclusion of nuclear talks reached between Iran and the P5+1 group – the US, Britain, France, China, Russia and Germany – last month in Vienna, Austria.

“New York Senator Chuck Schumer just publicly declared that he will vote to kill the historic Iran nuclear peace deal and urge other Democrats in the Senate to do the same,” says the petition, issued by CREDO Action.

Credo Action calls itself a “social change organization that supports activism and funds progressive nonprofits.” The progressive organization has a goal of 200,000 signatures.

US press blacks out Israeli defense minister’s citation of ‘Nagasaki and Hiroshima’ as model for dealing with Iran

Two weeks ago, Electronic Intifada reported public comments by Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon in which he cited Hiroshima and Nagasaki as role models in responding to Iran. Ya’alon suggested that Israel might have to nuke Iran in order to prevent a long war: “at the end, we might take certain steps.” Last week Ali Gharib picked up the EI report at Lobelog and linked to the video of Ya’alon, speaking in English on May 5 to the Israel Law Center (and posted by that rightwing group, which supplied a transcript).

Obama’s Iran Nuclear Deal

President Obama's singular achievement is the effort he has pursued to break the stranglehold the Zionist and NeoCons have exerted over American policy.

“Top diplomats from Russia and China joined a rare meeting of world powers’ envoys on Capitol Hill this week with roughly 30 Senate Democrats to tamp down concerns over the nuclear agreement.

“The prospect of the rejection of a deal makes us nervous,” Philipp Ackermann, the acting German ambassador to the United States, said Thursday. “It would be a nightmare for every European country if this is rejected.”

[...] All the signs suggest that, if Obama “wins”, even by a hair’s breadth, he will immediately seek to “compensate” Israel for his unprecedented act of disobedience though a significant increase in the amount of America’s annual tribute payment to Israel, through even deeper military largesse and cooperation and through continuing American diplomatic and political support at the United Nations and elsewere.

Obama Isolates Netanyahu as Head of Warmongers

The most worrisome part of Obama’s address was his reference to the Israeli government’s opposition to the nuclear agreement. What he said is liable to be seen in the not-so-distant future as a real turning point in the strategic relations between Jerusalem and Washington.
Obama marked Netanyahu not as a major ally, but as his greatest political rival. While he noted that he understands Netanyahu’s concerns and believes his intentions are sincere, this expression of empathy was merely an introduction to a sharp attack on the prime minister. At times you could hear Obama’s disdain for Netanyahu, as when he unconsciously imitated the latter’s baritone from his speeches against the nuclear agreement. “It’s a bad deal, we need a better deal,” he said, as he deepened his voice.

Nobel Prize winner Joseph Stiglitz has said that the US, on the financial front, is “on the wrong side of history.” As for the Republican candidates chasing the nomination for the 2016 US presidential race, well, they may qualify only for the ‘wrong’ side of the bargain, as they hardly know what ‘history’ means.
And that brings us to a mammoth specimen of entertainment/reality TV; the first Republican debate, no less than a seemingly-eternal 15 months before the actual US presidential election.

US Should Bring Israel Down a Peg – Buchanan

Netanyahu is not giving up on his goal to sabotage the deal even though undermining Israel's close ties with the US could be a far greater threat than anything the nuclear agreement could bring along.

For a state that is often seen as an outsider at international forums, consistent backing from the US is essential… And $3 billion a year in military aid doesn't hurt either. Despite all that, Netanyahu keeps seeking ways to mobilize Congress against the White House to destroy the ultimate achievement in Obama's career, and it's not as if his manipulations are in vain thus far.

He referred in particular to the Greek referendum in which the Greek people on 5 July 2015 voted with an overwhelming 61% against the continuation of the economic and financial strangulation of Greece by the infamous troika – the European Central Bank (ECB), the European Commission (EC) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Anti-War Donors Pledge To Withhold $8.3 Million In Potential Donations From Schumer, Iran Deal Opponents

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) preserved support from his hawkish pro-Israel base with his promise to vote down the Iran nuclear deal on Thursday night -- but will now have to answer to a group of anti-war liberal advocacy organizations who claim that Schumer’s opposition to the diplomatic accord with Iran renders him unfit for the role of the party’s leader in the Senate.

In less than 24 hours since Schumer’s announcement, 17,636 members of MoveOn, a progressive advocacy group, have committed to withhold $8.3 million they would have contributed to Schumer and other Democrats who oppose the Iran deal, the group told The Huffington Post on Friday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am sure that Israel will pony up these funds and make up for the shortfall.

There are many things about which I disagree intensely with this Administration; the Iran deal is not one of them.

Schumer, and those who opposed this deal in Congress, should be made to register as agents of a foreign government, period, end of discussion, and that country is Israel.

They are no longer fit to lead or serve in the US, because they no longer represent their alleged constituents at all, and have become thoroughly useless to the American people.

The Liberation of US Foreign Policy

Once we defeat the Israeli-directed attempt to derail the Iran deal in Congress we can safely go out into the streets declaiming: Free at last! Free at last! Thank God almighty, we’re free at last!

The Iran deal is a turning point in US foreign policy, and its approval by Congress will represent a sea change in American politics: it will mark nothing less than a day of liberation which future generations might dub “VI Day” – victory over Israel day.

The signing of the Iran deal, and its probable approval by Congress – it doesn’t look like the War Party has the votes to overturn it – heralds the victory of the countercoup, i.e. the overthrow of the Lobby’s stranglehold and the eventual restoration of a pro-American foreign policy. This was evident in practically every line of President Obama’s recent speech at American University, and the text deserves closer examination than it has so far gotten.

People are not equal in death, either. Some deaths are more newsworthy than others. Such is the death of 300 passengers and crew of the Malaysian airliner flight 17 in the crash in Donbass, near Russian-Ukrainian border. Their deaths, regrettable as they were, are deemed to be of much greater importance, or at least newsworthiness than those of some ten thousand local people killed by the indiscriminate shelling of Donbass towns by Kiev regime troops, or that of a million Arabs. It is conducive to the cause of pushing Russia into a corner.

House Members In Israel for Obama-Bashing

Should Congress prevail in undermining “this strong, principled policy diplomacy”, we would have reached a shameful moment in U.S. foreign policy.

While President Barack Obama was speaking about the people’s business, and his Kennedy-like preference for diplomacy over war, freshman members of the U.S. House of Representatives were either 5,000 plus miles away in Israel, or preparing to go there to be feted and educated by a foreign power which opposes the nuclear agreement the U.S. has reached with Iran and major European powers.

Democratic freshman congress members who may or may not have heard the Obama speech, are traveling in Israel (all expenses paid) courtesy of an educational nonprofit “affiliated with” the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the American Israel Education Foundation, AIPAC’s charitable arm.

What “affiliated with” means is that AIPAC runs the trip while its “education foundation” pays the bills.

Forget Iran Bibi Just Wants to Humiliate Obama on His Own Turf

In any event, the prolonged confrontation between Obama and Netanyahu over the Iran agreement took a quantum leap this week. Only God knows how Israel could possibly emerge well from this battle, regardless of whether the accord is approved by Congress. Netanyahu was asked about what comes next, after Congress either supports the deal, or votes against it with a majority large enough to supersede a presidential veto. The prime minister did not provide a satisfactory answer. The questioner came away with the impression that he is waging a battle for its own sake, for the satisfaction of humiliating the president. He longs to defeat Obama on the latter’s home turf.

New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, the chamber's third-ranking Democrat, plans to announce his opposition to the nuclear deal negotiated by the U.S., Iran, and five world powers tomorrow, three people familiar with his thinking tell The Huffington Post.

Schumer's move will come a day after New Hampshire Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Schumer's fellow New York senator, Kirstin Gillibrand, announced their support for the deal. Obama: "Netanyahu refuses to meet with me, wants to continue fighting over Iran

In a briefing before 22 Jewish leaders US President Barack Obama said that he is ready to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and discuss the necessary measures needed to make Israel feel safer after the Iran deal.

According to Obama, sadly Netanyahu refused to hold a meeting. Saying the meeting would be seen as waving a white flag, because Netanyahu wants to continue fighting over the deal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran to get Chinese J-10 fighters in return for oil rights

Iran will become the second overseas user of Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group's J-10 fighter without paying a dollar to China by signing a contract to allow Beijing to exploit its largest oilfield over the next 20 years, according to our sister paper Want Daily.

To illustrate how convoluted this deal is, the J-10 is a Chinese manufactured version of Israel's Lavi, developed by Israel at US taxpayer expense, then licensed by Israel for manufacture to other countries.

Israeli President Rivlin: Netanyahu's Anti-Iran Drive Isolates Israel

Israel's president suggested on Thursday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been overzealous in opposing the Iran nuclear deal, opening a "battlefront" with Washington and isolating his country.

Reuven Rivlin, who holds the largely ceremonial head of state post, argued in three separate newspaper interviews that Netanyahu's vigorous campaign against last month's nuclear deal between world powers and Iran could ultimately hurt Israel.

A former right-wing politician with a history of strained ties to the prime minister, Rivlin has voiced his own reservations about the deal but put it in a wider diplomatic context in the interviews.

"I am very worried about the battlefront that has opened up between (U.S. President Barack) Obama and Netanyahu and the (state of) relations between the United States and Israel," he told the Maariv newspaper.

Qatari foreign minister: Iran nuclear deal is ‘best option’

Speaking at a press conference with Kerry Monday, Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid al-Attiyah commented, "This was the best option among other options. We are confident that what they undertook makes this region safer and more stable. He let us know that there is going to be live oversight over Iran not to gain or to get any nuclear weapons. This is reassuring to the region."

He added Kerry had made it clear the United States would prevent Iran from building nuclear weapons in the agreement, in which Iran will proceed with peaceful nuclear development in exchange for a lifting of economic sanctions.

US senator: A military strike could send Iran ‘back to day zero’

Republican Tom Cotton, a prominent opponent of the nuclear deal, tells Israeli reporters US must maintain ‘credible threat of force’

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay, Tom, if you really feel that way about it... Here's your rifle. Here's your parachute. We ran out of the desert camo but here's a bright da-glo orange jumpsuit from the CIA's torture centers. Watch your head climbing into that transport aircraft, and we will call Tehran and tell them you are on your way to kick their butts all by yourself.

But We The People remember the lies about stolen incubators that tricked us into the first invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember the lies about Saddam's nuclear weapons that tricked us into the second invasion of Iraq.

We The People remember how only a year ago you tried to trick us into war with Syria with more lies about poison gas.

We The People remember how there weren't really torpedoes in the Gulf of Tonkin or a Spanish mine in Havana Harbor, but how there really WERE weapons on board the Lusitania.

In short, We The People remember all the lies, frauds, and deceptions used to trick us into wars of conquest, to send our young people out to die in wars created out of thin air by and for the money-junkies. I think it is time that we have a new rule in America; that those who want war are the first to the front lines. You are all splendidly brave with the lives of other peoples' children. Let's see the true measure of your courage and commitment to war.

You first!

And just to keep you honest, please recall that Iran has not initiated a war of conquest against another nation in over 200 years; a sharp contrast to the US and Israel, which these days cannot seem to go two months without invading, drone-striking, or overthrowing someone else's nation!

Barack Obama, Israel, and Iran all warn that World War 3 could be coming to the Middle East

Will we soon see World War 3 erupt in the Middle East? Even though Barack Obama has made a “peace deal” with Iran, leaders in the region sure are talking a lot about war. And of course this “deal” is on very shaky ground.

New Obama Threats: No Iran Nuke Deal = A New Middle East War, Pissing off China, and the End of the Dollar as World Reserve Currency

While this is all likely theater anyway, let’s play along for a minute.

President Barack Obama gave a speech today at American University, where JFK gave a speech 52 years ago to the day at the height of the Cold War, specifically to liken himself to JFK, which he started the speech by pointing out.

Oh, and he also talked about the passing of the Iran Nuke deal, a talk that was basically just riddled with threats.

First, he warned if the deal didn’t pass, we’d have another war in the Middle East. Period. Or, as C-SPAN describes it, Obama contended that “congressional rejection of the deal would leave future administrations with another war in the Middle East as the only option.”

Obama claims this deal, in which there is no secret side deal — — is the best way possible to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuke. If the deal is rejected by Congress, however, Obama said it will be detrimental to U.S. security.

But, he said, walking away from the deal now is a “fantasy” anyway:

"History shows that America must lead not just with our might, but with our principles," President Obama said in a speech. "It shows we are stronger not when we are alone, but when we bring the world together."

Filed by Iranian Ambassador and Resident Representative Reza Najafi, the complaint refers to statements made by White House press secretary Josh Earnest. These comments occurred during a news briefing on July 17, only three days after a deal was reached.

US Politicians’ Racist Anti-Iranian Remarks Don’t Make Headlines

Imagine a US senator publicly calling the Chinese “evil people.” Imagine a governor saying African leaders are “animals.” Imagine a presidential candidate claiming Latinos are “liars.” In each of these cases, the media would rightfully explode, condemning the politicians for their overt racism.

A notable exception to this, however, exists in the US political system and media establishment: When politicians make ludicrous claims about Iranians, when Republicans deploy orientalist myths about purportedly bloodthirsty Persians in order to sabotage their own government’s attempts at diplomacy, the media largely sit on their hands.

Shlomo Gaza, Chief of Intelligence, Major General

Arie Pellman, Israeli Security Agency official

Libya War: What They Don’t Want You to Know

We are taught all our lives that our modern political systems are “by and for the people.” In order to justify taking us to war, then, our misleaders have to convince us that war is not a racket, as General Smedley Butler revealed, and is not for the benefit of the industrialists who sell the munitions or the politicians in their back pocket or the financiers that own them both, but in the interest of the average man or woman. In other words, they lie through their teeth.

Such was the case with Afghanistan, which we were told was all about the hunt for Osama…until it no longer was.

Or in Iraq, which was all about weapons of mass destruction…until it no longer was.

The Iran deal is good for Middle East peace

As the pros and cons of the P5+1 (UN Security Council members plus Germany) deal with Iran are being debated in the US Congress and elsewhere, it is important to look at the larger picture of this historic agreement.

It is true that there are some concerns that a sanctions-free Iran will flex its regional muscle even more after the deal. But the benefits of such a deal outweigh the fear-based perceived risks.

After years of failure on so many fronts, this is the first major breakthrough for international diplomacy.

For the first time in many years, all major world powers worked together for an agreement that pushes nuclear proliferation away.

Growing signs Schumer will oppose Iran deal

Chuck Schumer is getting an earful from opponents of the Iran nuclear deal.
More than 10,000 phone calls have flooded his office line the past two weeks, organized by a group looking to kill the deal. Another group has dropped seven figures on TV in New York City to pressure Schumer and other lawmakers to vote against the plan. The powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee has put its muscle behind an effort to lobby the New Yorker against it.
Story Continued Below

And Dov Hikind, a state assemblyman from Brooklyn, was arrested for disorderly conduct while protesting the deal outside Schumer’s office.
People who have spoken with the senior New York senator believe the pressure campaign is having an effect: They say there is a growing sense inside and outside the Capitol that Schumer will vote against the deal when the Senate considers it in September. The bigger question many have now is this: How hard will he push against it?

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to Senator Schumer: sir, let me begin by sharing with you that I have been a very vocal (albeit very peaceful) critic of many of President Obama's policies.

And let me get this out of the way right now: I am a Christian Pacifist.

I believe that good faith negotiations, morally done and honorably concluded, are a much better way to resolve geopolitical issues than is war.

But the issue of the Iran treaty is an issue where the President and I concur.

Is it a perfect deal?!? No, it is not.

But rather than the alternative of a US-led war against Iran, where Russia and probably China may well come to Iran's aid militarily, it is far the better deal than is a war.

And let me explain to you very carefully the outcome of your opposing this deal.

First, your constituents will realize that you are simply a tool of Israel's foreign policy, and in promoting opposition to this treaty, you are putting the needs and concerns of a foreign country above the needs and concerns of your constituents.

Secondly, your party will see this as a stunning betrayal of their President, and look for someone to replace you as quickly as possible in the next elections.

I would like to remind you that in the House Armed Services Committee, there exists legislation to reinstate the draft, for both our young men and young women, penned by the Senior Congressional Representative Charlie Rangel, two years ago.

The fact that the bill has not been killed outright in committee before this time tells me that Congress is waiting for the right "psychological/economic" moment to pass it.

Sir, I would very strongly caution you against the US going to war against Iran, something for which the Israeli government has been advocating for some time now.

And I would like to assure you that the people of this country are both war weary, and war skeptical, after the string of debacles including Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen. With all these military misadventures, the US government and military have experienced serial epic fails in every one of these engagements.

and at this point, the US military is incapable of assuring a positive outcome against either Russia or China, because it doesn't have the troop strength, the money, or the manufacturing to see that this happens.

The US government may spend a lot more money on its war machinery than does Russia or China, but that does not guarantee that the equipment purchased will function magnificently in the field.

Sir, I am asking you to please vote for this deal; the absence of such a deal may well mean war, and the deaths and maimings of hundreds of thousands of our military.

And finally, sir, I entreat you to watch the video (banned by youtube), titled "Don't tell Mother I'm In Iran", which talks about the Jewish community, and how it is flourishing in Iran:

Samantha Power has become something of an expert at Russia-bashing and using fiery rhetoric for her selective political aims at the UN Security Council.

The US, as with other NATO states, has set itself up as jury and judge on the MH17 tragedy, and has already decided on Russia’s guilt over the incident. From the outset, Western governments and media have insinuated that Russia or “Russian-backed rebels” in eastern Ukraine are the perpetrators. The case has already been poisoned with politicized prejudice, without any evidence. As Christopher Black, a respected international war crimes lawyer, has pointed out to this author, the tribunal proposed by the NATO countries would have been used as “a trap” to incriminate Russia and possibly even indict President Vladimir Putin for having ultimate responsibility.

Washington’s Fifth Columns Inside Russia and China

Russia and China finally caught on. It is amazing that the governments of the two countries that Washington regards as "threats" were so tolerant of foreign-financed NGOs for so long.

Americans need to understand that the biggest threat to them resides entirely in the crazed neoconservative ideology of Washington’s hegemony over the world and over the American people, Paul Craig Roberts believes.

It took two decades for Russia and China to understand that “pro-democracy” and “human rights” organizations operating within their countries were subversive organizations funded by the US Department of State and a collection of private American foundations organized by Washington. The real purpose of these non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is to advance Washington’s hegemony by destabilizing the two countries capable of resisting US hegemony.

The rulers of the two most powerful authoritarian regimes in the Middle East are launching major wars to reconfigure the Middle East. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has declared war by proxy on Iran, announcing full-scale military mobilization within Israel (July 27 -29) and organizing the biggest political campaign of ultra Zionist Jews in Washington. The purpose of this two-pronged propaganda blitz is to defeat the recently signed US-Iranian agreement and start another major Middle East war. Ultimately, Netanyahu intends to take care of his ‘Palestinian Problem’ for good: complete the conquest and occupation of Palestine and expelling the Palestinian people from their homeland – the single most important foreign policy and domestic goal of the Jewish state. In order to do this, Israeli leaders have had to systematically campaign for the destruction of the Palestinians regional supporters and sympathizers – Iraq, Libya, Syria, Lebanon and Iran.

The fact that it precedes Saddam Hussein’s systematic use of WMDs against Iran (never reciprocated in kind) is evidence of the depth of my country’s commitment to this noble cause. And while Iran has received the support of some of its Arab friends in this endeavour, Israel – home to the Middle East’s only nuclear weapons programme – has been the holdout. In the light of the historic nuclear deal, we must address this challenge head on.

Greece – And the Horror of Europe

Dear Reader, this is as far as we have fallen since the ascent of neoliberalism in the last twenty-some years. No ethics, no moral, no law, just coercion for greed and ultimate hegemony – enslavement of the people while and after they are lulled and dulled with lies 24/7.

According to UNHCR about 50 million refugees are on the move every day on our globe. This is most likely an understatement, as this figure doesn’t take into account what takes place in the almost hermetically closed-off Central Africa, Congo, Zaïre, where western corporations are exploiting for a pittance and with millions of slaves precious metals, uranium, hydrocarbons and rare earths – and where millions have died over the past ten years, by butcher regimes supported and armed by the west – and where millions are on the run.

The real figure of refugees on the run is easily 60 to 65 million;

Iran Political Fulmination Versus Diplomatic Deal

Viewers and readers should question polls, whether reported by CNN or Fox or MSNBC with the same vigor the old Chicago News Bureau once counseled, “If your mother says she loves you, check it out”.

Blessings upon New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof for pointing out that “fulmination” is the right word to describe opposition to the diplomatic deal President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry have just reached with Iran and the P5+1 major world powers.

The P5+1 offers a strong array of international powers. The term P5+1 refers to the UN Security Council’s five permanent members (the P5); namely China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States; plus Germany.

The PPP poll finds that “there’s strong support nationally for the Iran deal, that voters want their members of Congress to let it move forward, and that there’s no potential political backlash for members who do support the deal”.

Incongruities in the News — Paul Craig Roberts

Jonathan Pollard, a paid spy for Israel described by Michael D. Shear as “one of the country’s most notorious spies,” has been pardoned from his life sentence.

Pollard is a hero to Israel, not to America, and it is Pollard who is released. Manning, Snowden, and Assange are heroes to America, and they continue to be confined.

What disturbs me about the case is that it is Pollard, who spied for a foreign country, who is released. In contrast, Manning and Snowden who spied for the American people are locked away, Manning in a federal prison and Snowden in his Russian exile. Julian Assange, who merely did his job as a journalist and made available to newspapers documents leaked to him, is confined to the Ecuadoran embassy in London.

Iran to IAEA: U.S. in Material Breach of Nuclear Agreement

Iran has taken action under the terms of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) last week, sending a letter to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) accusing the United States of being in “material breach” of the understandings. The letter (.pdf), which was posted on the IAEA’s website yesterday, cites July 17 statements from White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest as the source of the complaint.

“The military option would remain on the table, but the fact is, that military option would be enhanced because we’d been spending the intervening number of years gathering significantly more detail about Iran’s nuclear program. So when it comes to the targeting decisions that would be made by military officials either in Israel or the United States, those targeting decisions would be significantly informed, and our capabilities improved, based on the knowledge that has been gained in the intervening years through this inspections regime.” [Emphasis added].

“Bomb Iran” plan simply won’t go away

Even before the upcoming August recess on Capitol Hill, the dogs of war, unleashed by remote control from Tel Aviv, predictably are trying to tear the Iran-P5+1 nuclear deal to shreds from all sides.

It does not matter that the National Iranian American Council – which happens to be widely respected in Washington itself – has forcefully come out in defense of the deal.

It does not matter that the Obama administration can count on the combined efforts of the so-called E3 ambassadors (Britain, France and Germany) in Washington, who are exhausting themselves to explain the obvious: This is an international treaty, already approved by the United Nations, and not a parochial squabble decided in Idaho.

Israel Security Establishment Breaks With Bibi on Iran Deal

There’s a deep crack emerging in the veneer of wall-to-wall support offered by Israel’s political leadership to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his war against the Iran nuclear agreement.

The crack has a name you might recognize: the Israeli security establishment. You know — the folks whose job it is to identify and address threats to Israel’s safety. A small but growing group of high-power ex-commanders has been speaking out in media interviews and op-ed essays in the past few days, saying that Netanyahu has got the Iran issue wrong.

It’s not yet what you’d call an avalanche of dissent. But against the pro-Netanyahu unanimity among the politicians, coalition and opposition alike, the skepticism emerging from the security community stands out in striking relief. As unanimous as the politicians are in backing the prime minister, the generals and spymasters are nearly as unanimous in questioning him. Generals publicly backing Netanyahu can be counted on — well — one finger.

FLASHBACK - THE LIE OF THE (LAST) CENTURY

It is inescapable historical reality that leaders of nations will lie to their people to trick them into wars they otherwise would have refused. It is not "conspiracy theory" to suggest that leaders of nations lie to trick their people into wars. It is undeniable fact.

This brings us to the present case.

Did the government of the United States lie to the American people, more to the point, did President Bush and his Neocon associates lie to Congress, to initiate a war of conquest in Iraq?

This question has been given currency by a memo leaked from inside the British Government which clearly indicates a decision to go to war followed by the "fixing" of information around that policy. This is, as they say, a smoking gun.

But the fact is that long before this memo surfaced, it had become obvious that the US Government, aided by that of Great Britain, was lying to create the public support for a war in Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Before we all start listening to Israel's whores scream about Iran's nuclear weapons, we should remember these same people told us Iraq had nuclear weapons, and even tortured innocent Iraqis to death to "find" them, even though it turned out they had never existed.

WHY IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IRAN HAS A NUCLEAR BOMB

Even if they were pursuing a nuclear weapon (which nobody can prove they are) and even if Iran had long range missiles to strike at America (which they definitely do not) Iran is not going to carry out an unprovoked attack on the United States with a nuclear weapon because any attack with a weapon of mass destruction would be national suicide.

Congressional support for Iran deal solidifies– and Cory Booker pushes back against friendship ultimatums

There have been two important developments in the Iran Deal over the last day or so. 1, There’s growing consensus that the deal is going to go through. Even Leon Wieseltier says his opposition is futile. That’s great news. 2, There’s a growing sense inside the Jewish community that opposing the deal contains a huge liability for pro-Israel forces. That they will be exposed and their power reduced, with the potential loss of Democratic progressives.

Cruz says Iran could set off Electro Magnetic Pulse over east coast, killing 10s of millions

The single greatest threat if Iran acquired even a single nuclear weapon would be that they would place that weapon on a rocket on a ship anywhere up and down the Atlantic and they would fire that rocket straight into the air into the atmosphere and if it got high enough and they could detonate a nuclear war head, it would set off what’s called an Electro Magnetic Pulse, an EMP. An EMP would take down the electrical grid of the entire eastern seaboard.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Of course, Ted "Born in Canada" Cruz doesn't say WHY Iran, a nation that has not invaded another country in a war of aggression in over 200 years, would do such a stupid thing. And please keep in mind that all these people screaming about the Iranian nuclear threat are the same ones who insisted Iraq had nuclear weapons!

Rand Paul: Fraud, Failure, Liar

by Justin Raimondo, July 29, 2015 As the smoke wafted up into the already smoggy Los Angeles air, a group of young libertarians watched as Jayel Aheram burned his “Stand With Rand” t-shirts. He had two of them, a token of his former esteem for the “libertarian-ish” presidential candidate and Senator from Kentucky, whose father had inspired young Jayel to identify as a libertarian and become active in the movement. A former Marine and Iraq war veteran, the now 31-year-old Aheram had phone-banked for Rand, and enthusiastically retweeted the Senator’s pronouncements on Twitter. He had even forked out $35 for those T-shirts – and now they were going up in flames as he and a group of young libertarians sat on the roof of Jayel’s Los Angeles apartment, drinking beer and glumly contemplating what had brought them – all former supporters of Rand Paul’s presidential campaign – to this point. As Charles Davis writes over at MondoWeiss:

US, EU 'Give Up' Ukraine to Seek Russian Political Support

After inciting the Ukrainian conflict that led the country to a civil war and brought it to the verge of economic collapse, the West has now realized that Ukraine isn’t worth much, at least not as much as establishing a working political relationship with Russia, US political journalist Brian Whitmore said.

The United States and the European Union (EU) are "selling out" Ukraine to Russia to gain the Kremlin's support in dealing with Iran's nuclear program and looking for Moscow's approval of taking out Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, the Atlantic Magazine reported.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If true, this is an act of desperation by the US/EU to break out of the logjam of wars they are stuck in. The US/EU knows Iran doesn't actually have nuclear weapons. Russia knows it too, and knows that the real goal is for the US to take economic control of Iran's (and everyone else's) oil, which Russia is clearly opposed to. The US/EU have to know this deal to "give" Russia Ukraine is a non-starter, and Putin would be correct to see this as a sign that the US/EU know they cannot continue with military actions is so many nations at the same time.

How China and Russia are running rings around Washington

Let’s start with the geopolitical Big Bang you know nothing about, the one that occurred just two weeks ago. Here are its results: from now on, any possible future attack on Iran threatened by the Pentagon (in conjunction with NATO) would essentially be an assault on the planning of an interlocking set of organizations — the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization), the EEU (Eurasian Economic Union), the AIIB (the new Chinese-founded Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank), and the NDB (the BRICS’ New Development Bank) — whose acronyms you’re unlikely to recognize either. Still, they represent an emerging new order in Eurasia.

MAJORITY of Jewish Americans Say Congress SHOULD Vote to APPROVE

Jul 28 10:54

GOP MADNESS EXTRAORDINAIRE

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, talking about the Iran nuclear deal, said President Barack Obama will march Israelis “to the door of the oven.”

Huckabee, in an interview Saturday with Breitbart News, evoked Holocaust images of the ovens used to dispose of the bodies of Jews gassed in Nazi concentration camps.

“This president’s foreign policy is the most feckless in American history,” the former Arkansas governor said. “It is so naive that he would trust the Iranians. By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.”

Calling the deal signed earlier this month by Iran and world powers the “most idiotic thing,” Huckabee said the agreement should be rejected by Democrats and Republicans in Congress, “and by the American people.”

“I read the whole deal,” he said. “We gave away the whole store. It’s got to be stopped.”

FLASHBACK - ‘Israel will attack Iran if you sign the deal, French MP told Fabius’

A French member of parliament telephoned French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius in Geneva at the weekend to warn him that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would attack Iran’s nuclear facilities if the P5+1 nations did not stiffen their terms on a deal with Iran, Israel’s Channel 2 News reported Sunday.

“I know [Netanyahu],” the French MP, Meyer Habib, reportedly told Fabius, and predicted that the Israeli prime minister would resort to the use of force if the deal was approved in its form at the time. “If you don’t toughen your positions, Netanyahu will attack Iran,” the report quoted Habib as saying. “I know this. I know him. You have to toughen your positions in order to prevent war.”

FLASHBACK - Israel tested ‘dirty-bomb cleanup’ in the desert

Israel has carried out a series of tests in its southern desert to measure the effects on its population and environment of a so-called “dirty” bomb attack combining conventional explosives and radioactive material.

The daily Haaretz, reporting Monday on the four-year experiment, said the research concluded that high-level radiation was measured at the center of the explosions, with a low level of radiation dispersal by particles carried by the wind.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Coupled with the major military call-up of Israel's reserve forces, I would not rule out a false-flag attack with a dirty bomb as a pretext for declaring war on ... someone. If they are planning to use radioactive material in the false-flag, then the target is most likely Iran.

But again, look for what should be there and isn't, and what isn't there is a motive for Iran to attack Israel at this time. Iran has negotiated a deal. They are not building a nuclear weapon and the sanctions are to be lifted. Iran has what they want, and no reason to wreck the progress made with any kind of attack. Iran has not launched a war of aggression against another country in over 200 years. Israel, on the other hand, cannot go six months without attacking one of their neighbors, and Netanyahu stated that if the Iran deal went through, we would attack Iran.

Iran Deal Worth More than All U.S. Aid to Israel Since 1948

The Iran deal will provide Iran with a cash windfall as sanctions are eased and assets are unfrozen. The total amount is estimated to be as high as $150 billion. If so, the Iran deal would give more cash to Iran than the $124.3 billion U.S. has given in total aid to Israel since 1948.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is a major point to be made here. All that money to Israel was taken from the American taxpayers. The money Iran is getting is theirs to begin with, earned by them before being frozen (stolen) by the US sanctions!

5 ex-U.S. ambassadors to Israel back Iran deal

Five former U.S. ambassadors to Israel sent a letter to Congress in favor of the Iran nuclear deal.

James Cunningham, William Harrop, Daniel Kurtzer, Thomas Pickering and Edward Walker Jr. signed the letter, along with R. Nicholas Burns, former undersecretary of state for political affairs and ambassador to NATO, and Frank Wisner, former undersecretary of state for international security affairs and undersecretary of defense for policy, the Times of Israel reported.

“No agreement between multiple parties can be perfect or without risks,” the letter states. “We believe that without this agreement, however, the risks will be much higher for the United States and Israel. We see no fatal flaws that should call for the rejection of this agreement and have not heard any viable alternatives from those who oppose the implementation” of the deal.

Pentagon chief Carter in Israel seeks deeper military ties

U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter said Sunday he has no expectation of persuading Israeli leaders to drop their opposition to the Iran nuclear deal, but will instead emphasize that the accord imposes no limits on what Washington can do to ensure the security of Israel and U.S. Arab allies.

"Our ability to carry out that strategy is unchanged," Carter told reporters aboard his plane en route to Tel Aviv.

The Obama administration reserves the right to use military force against Iran if necessary, he added, although the nuclear deal is intended to preclude that by resolving the issue diplomatically.

Rarely in recent years have the foreign travels of a leading German politician caused such a stir as the visit earlier this month to Iran by the German Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs Sigmar Gabriel (Social Democratic Party, SPD). With the ink barely dry on the recently-negotiated nuclear program agreement with Iran, Gabriel was already bound for Tehran in the company of a high-level business delegation.
