BEX Alert: Haaretz "Ukraine synagogue reportedly firebombed"

The main synagogue in the Ukrainian city of Nikolayev reportedly was firebombed.

The synagogue was empty of worshippers when it was firebombed early Saturday morning, according to the Chabad-affiliated Shturem.org website.

Two Molotov cocktails were thrown at the door and window, the report said, citing Yisroel Gotlieb, son of the city’s chief rabbi, Sholom Gotlieb.

A passer-by put out the fires with a fire extinguisher, according to the report. The attack was recorded by the synagogue’s closed circuit television security camera and uploaded to YouTube.

Last week in eastern Ukraine, fliers calling on Jews to register with pro-Russian separatists and pay special taxes were distributed in Donetsk.

More than thirty activists from Arab and European countries are carrying humanitarian aid and medical supplies for hospitals in Gaza.

Israeli forces attack Palestinian worshippers in al-Aqsa

Israeli forces have once again attacked Palestinian worshippers at al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East al-Quds (Jerusalem).

Witnesses said the Israeli troops on Sunday used tear gas and sound bombs to disperse the worshippers in the compound. Sixteen people were also arrested.

The clashes erupted when a group of extremist Israeli settlers along with a Knesset (Israeli parliament) member entered the holy site. The move triggered clashes with Israeli troops raiding the compound to protect the settlers.

US fears mounting Israeli espionage

There are fears in the United States that admitting Israel into the country’s Visa Waiver Program would facilitate espionage activities by the Zionist regime in Washington.

“The US intelligence community is concerned that adding Israel to the Visa Waiver program would make it easier for Israeli spies to enter the country,” said a senior House aide, Capitol Hill news website Roll Call reported.

Israel has long sought entry into the 38-nation visa program which allows foreigners into the US for 90 days without visa requirement.

Right for the Wrong Reasons

The foreign policy mantra of Israel’s radical, Moldovan-born foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman, can be accurately summarized in just four words: always blame the victim.

He may be more vocal than most, but it is the paradigm by which all Israeli ministers operate: the victims, not the perpetrators, are responsible for their own suffering. Whether it was the July 2006 war on Lebanon or the 2008-2009 assault on Gaza, the innocents killed effectively brought Israel’s wrath upon themselves.

Ukraine Jew registration hoax traced

Email intercepts that included the original copies of anti-Semitic leaflets distributed in Eastern Ukraine have now been shown to be part of an elaborate false flag hoax to sabotage recent US-Russian talks.

The hoax, a “game theory warfare” operation, was meant to “sucker punch” both Russia and the US. If those responsible, in this case the New York based ADL, were caught, and they have been, there would be no consequences.

The ADL is “untouchable.” When Secretary of State Kerry expressed his revulsion at Nazi leaflets demanding that Jews in Ukraine “register” with a non-existent government agency, little did he know he was the victim of an elaborate and highly dangerous false flag hoax.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now, think about this for a moment. The ADL here in the United States tried to play a hoax to start a war in Ukraine that would have resulted in the deaths of Ukrainians (and possibly Americans) while the ADL's "enablers" inside Ukraine were all too happy to carry out that hoax, to start a war in Ukraine that would have resulted in the deaths of Ukrainians (and possibly Americans).

So, is it really all that far-fetched to suggest that the same people would play hoaxes inside the US to serve their purposes, even if it means the deaths of Americans? Is it unreasonable to suggest that 9-11 was a hoax to trick America into war?

Dear friends,

It’s been three years since we’ve asked for your assistance to keep Redress Information & Analysis going from strength to strength.

Since that time a lot has happened:

- We have strengthened the website’s defences, so that, for example, all the numerous attempts to hack the site or bring it down through distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks have failed;

- We have moved the site to a new platform that brings a much improved user experience;

- We have expanded the type of content available on the website by adding two new sections: “Comment in Brief” for short news and comment (172 pieces published since April 2013), and a rolling “News Bites” news service, bringing you important news that may have been overlooked.

We have, and will continue, to bear the brunt of the costs of maintaining and developing Redress Information & Analysis.

Is Israel a democratic state?

CANZANO – Jews “Über alles”. Since 1948, with the birth of the state of Israel, we can see, from reading various papers, the Jewish presence in every sector of cultural and economic life: guides and wise men and “righteous men”?

MANNO – I wouldn’t say “Jews Über alles” but rather “Zionists über Alles”. Today this distinction is fundamental. I’ve been studying the politics of Zionism for years now and can say with certainty that the confusion over this point is not only erroneous, historically and politically, but it is also unfair towards those many Jews who had been the victims of Zionism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is not entirely accurate to portray Israel as a racist state. There is, after all, no genetic or ethnic link between different groups of Jews. The Ashkenazi are descended from Central Asian Khazars, and have no genetic association with Yemenite Jews, or the Sephardim. However, it is very accurate to say that Israel is clearly a theocratic state, where the social divide is based on religion. And Israel has repeated many of the same crimes against humanity as other religions that gained control of the civil system, such as Roman Catholicism.

It was to avoid this very fate that the Founders of the United States prohibited the government from every recognizing one particular religion over any other in the First Amendment. What is happening in Israel today shows us the wisdom of that decision!

The Anne Frank Diary Fraud

In today’s London Times Daniel Finkelstien reflects on David Irving’s sentencing and asks: “The test that David Irving set me: do I really believe in the power of truth?”

The answer to that is an emphatic no. If anything Finkelstien is working in the opposite direction. This becomes apparent half-way through the article when he writes: “With her own eyes, my mother saw Anne Frank arrive in Belsen (she knew the family), yet still Irving and people like him contend that Frank’s story is fake.”

The Anne Frank story may not be an outright fake but as Brian Harring reveals in the article below, it is an elaborate piece of story telling. However, the fact that Finkelstien uses it to condemn Irving says all there is to say about his detractors and Finkelsteim’s belief in the “power of truth.”

Official: Iran will not discuss missile program

Tehran will not discuss its ballistic missiles as part of ongoing talks with world powers on a final agreement to curb the Iranian nuclear program, the country’s defense minister said Wednesday.

The remarks by Gen. Hossein Dehghan came as a rebuff of recent comments by U.S. State Department’s nuclear negotiator, Wendy Sherman, who said Iran’s ballistic capabilities should be addressed as part of a comprehensive agreement with Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What is really going on here is a classic Israeli (and now US) trick to derail negotiations they do not want to succeed. The get to an agreement, and then the party wishing to sabotage the process says, “Oh yes, one more thing. Then they ask for something entirely new. If the other party agrees, then they ask for “Just one more thing.” If the other party agrees, then they ask for “Just one more thing.” If the other party agrees, then they ask for “Just one more thing.” They repeat the process until the other side realizes Israel (or the US) is not bargaining in good faith and quits, at which point the blame for the “failure” of the peace talks is placed on them.

Israel has used this tactic for years to make sure nothing substantive is accomplished in “peace” negotiations with Palestinians and the US is using it with Iran, because the US wants war with Iran, but wants to make it look like Iran is the cause.

The Kosher Trinity and Jewish Quantum Mechanics

There is no doubt amongst scholars that Jews, as a group, derive from multiple ethnic origins and are far from a homogenous race. There is no racial continuum between a Polish Jew and a Yemenite one. But it is also obvious that Jewish political culture, whether Zionist or ‘anti’ is ethno-centric and, to a large extent, racially driven. Just like Israel, the Jews-only State, Israel’s Jewish opponents too often prefer to operate within Jews-only organisations such as ‘Jewish Voices For Peace,’ ‘ Jews for Justice,‘ etc’. In short, whether they are Zionist or ‘anti,’ Jews somehow prefer to operate in ethnically segregated racially oriented political cells.

The conclusion is obvious -though Jews are not a race, Jewish identity politics is racist to the core.

It’s time to reveal the Israeli role in the US surveillance machine

If the Israeli government has indeed ordered its spies “to dig up intelligence” showing links between the supporters of BDS and “terrorists and enemy states” as reported in the February 11, 2014 London Times, it may find that it already has as much information as it needs in its data banks.

As described in the UK Guardian by Glenn Greenwald, Laura Poitras and Ewen MacAskill, a 2008 document obtained by whistleblower Edward Snowden states that “one of the NSA’s biggest threats is actually from friendly intelligence services, like Israel. There are parameters on what NSA shares with them, but the exchange is so robust, we sometimes share more than we intended.”

Report: Israel eyes anti-Iran security pact with gulf states

Israel minister warns John Kerry over ‘surrender’ to Iran

Israel’s intelligence minister Monday slammed as unacceptable comments by US Secretary of State John Kerry on negotiations with Iran over its nuclear programme which he said indicated a “surrender” to Tehran.

“The things Kerry said in the Congress are worrying, they are surprising and they are unacceptable,” Yuval Steinitz, who is also strategic affairs minister, told public radio.

“We watch the negotiations with concern. We are not opposed to a diplomatic solution but we are against a solution which is entirely a surrender to Iran and which leaves it a threshold nuclear state."

“I think it is fair to say, I think it is public knowledge today, that we are operating with a time period for a so-called breakout of about two months,” Kerry said.

“So six months to 12 months is — I’m not saying that’s what we’d settle for — but even that is significantly more,” he added.

Israel’s army chief says a military operation in Lebanon is realistic and necessary scenario

Israel’s army chief of staff General Benny Gantz said an Israeli military operation in Lebanon is not only a realistic scenario but a necessary one.

How many innocent Lebanese does the IDF expect will need to be slaughtered in the process?

Will the IDF just go to the Litani River, because Israel so desperately needs the water?

Secret anti-BDS meeting held in UK capital

The British capital has hosted a secret meeting attended by 25 countries to counter international calls to boycott Israeli regime’s products.

The meeting, which was held in London this week, lasted for three days and was attended by UK's former Parliamentary Undersecretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Alistair Burt and the Israeli Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz, UPI reported on Friday.

The report said the participants included the United States, Australia, and Canada, in addition to a number of European states.

Israelis, Jews Angry U.S. Visa Issue Not Going Their Way

• Pro-Zionist media outlets accuse State Department of discriminatory practices.

In the wake of visa bans on Russian officials following the crisis in Ukraine, Israeli media outlets have accused the United States State Department of enforcing a secret visa ban on Israeli military and intelligence personnel. While no one in the U.S. State Department has admitted publicly that there is a ban in place, the timing of the claims raises important issues about the way Israelis have abused the U.S. visa system and their long-term objective of gaining unfettered access to the U.S.

For years, Israeli lobbyists on Capitol Hill have conducted a private campaign to have the U.S. federal government waive the issuance of visas to Israelis. That would permit Israelis to enter the U.S. for 90 days at a stretch for business or pleasure without having to apply for B visas like almost every other foreign citizen.

Why are two Republican congressmen doing a walkabout on the Temple Mount?

As Kate noted here the other day, Ma’an reported that two Republican congressmen toured the Temple Mount in February along with rightwing Israel Jews who covet the site.

Two members of the US Congress joined right-wing Jews who toured the al-Aqsa Mosque compound escorted by Israeli police officers in February, a Jerusalem-based Fatah official said.

Dimitri Daliani told Ma’an on Thursday that Republicans Bill Johnson of Ohio and David McKinley of Virginia entered the compound with the “extremist” Chaim Richman, director of the rightist Temple Institute.

Daliani said the “congressmen’s participation in such criminal incursions into the al-Aqsa Mosque without being questioned by their own government indicates collusion with settler gangs whose aim is to hurt the al-Aqsa Mosque.”

In 1925, the World Conference for the Well-Being of Children first proclaimed a day to honor children. In 1954, it was universally established. Dozens of countries recognize it. Variants include the UN's November 20 Universal Children's Day.

It was established to encourage all countries to institute a day. It urged doing so to promote mutual exchange and understanding for children's rights. It was done to promote child welfare worldwide. On November 20, 1958, UN members adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child.

Soldiers stand by as Israeli settlers attack Palestinian school girls

Israeli settlers on Wednesday assaulted Palestinian school children in the southern West Bank, a school official said.

A school principal told Ma'an that a group of extremist Israeli settlers hurled stones at school girls in the village of al-Tuwani, leaving them bruised.

Israeli soldiers stood by and watched without taking action as the settlers threw rocks, the principal said.

The girls who sustained injuries were identified as Kifah Omar Abu Jundiyya and Dalal Awad Zein, both seventh graders.

In al-Tuwani and other areas in the southern Hebron district, school children on a daily basis wait at checkpoints for Israeli soldiers to let them through locked gates.

Regardless of Israeli military presence, settler attacks on children en route to and from school remain commonplace, the principal said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is darkly, painfully ironic to me that the grandchildren of Holocaust survivors believe it is perfectly OK, and completely moral, to wound Palestinian children going to school.

One has to wonder what they would do to these children if they had weapons more sophisticated than rocks.

UN Accepts Palestinians’ Bid to Join 13 International Bodies

A bid by Palestinian Authority Chief Mahmoud Abbas to join international conventions for supporting Palestinians’ rights against Israel violations has been accepted by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

On Thursday, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said Ban had verified that the PA’s applications to join 13 international conventions were made “in due and proper form.”

Ban also informed all 193 UN member states of his decision to accept the Palestinian applications, according to the UN official.

The Israeli-PA talks reached a new deadlock when the Tel Aviv regime refused to free the last tranche of 104 Palestinian prisoners in late March according to a deal for the resumption of US-sponsored negotiations.

Regime’s defiance to halt its illegal settlement activities in occupied lands were also another cause of the talks’ failure.

Israeli minister urges Netanyahu to annex settlements

A senior Israeli minister has urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to annex a swathe of Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, saying peace talks with the Palestinians were dead.

The U.S.-backed negotiations came close to collapse last week amidst mutual recrimination and although the two sides are seeking to overcome the crisis, Netanyahu has already started to impose punitive sanctions on the Palestinians.

Economy Minister Naftali Bennett, who is head of the ultra-nationalist Jewish Home party, wrote to the prime minister late on Wednesday saying Israel should extend its sovereign territory to a number of major settlement blocs.

Mega settlements, such as Ma'ale Adumin, are built on land seized in the 1967 war - territory the Palestinians want for their future state. Successive governments have said the blocs, deemed illegal under international law, should remain part of Israel in any negotiated deal with the Palestinians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel blames Kerry as peace talks hopes fade

The likelihood that derailed Israeli-Palestinian peace talks will get back on track before expiring at the end of April is virtually zero, senior Israeli officials were quoted saying Friday evening. And a TV news report quoted a senior Israeli official blaming Secretary of State John Kerry for the crisis.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Israeli government is pathologically incapable for taking any of the blame for its actions leading to the breakdown in talks.

The Israeli government doesn't want to see peace happen here; it wants territory, and by any means necessary.

This is why you are seeing such a robust intensification of Israeli-only housing building in both East Jerusalem and the West Bank, and the brisk annexation of homes in which Palestinian families have lived for generations.

Israel's seizure of EU-funded aid projects prompts compensation calls - Guardian

Israel has seized three EU-funded humanitarian aid projects on the edge of a settlement construction zone that Europe views as a "red line", spurring demands for compensation payments to Brussels at a crisis moment for John Kerry's attempts to broker a Middle East peace deal.

The three humanitarian aid shelters were dismantled on 8 April in Ras-a-Baba, also known as Jabal-al-Baba, which lies in the E1 corridor of the West Bank, linking the settlement of Ma'ale Adumim to Jerusalem.

All three shelters were prefabricated caravans, built for families made homeless in severe storms that hit the region in December. They were funded by the EU's humanitarian aid wing, DG Echo, and some were provided by the French development agency, Action contre la Faim.

Lieberman calls for new elections to avoid release of Palestinian prisoners

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has called to hold new elections in Israel, saying that the release of the fourth batch of Palestinian prisoners "is not an option".

He then said holding elections would be preferable to releasing the Palestinian prisoners as US Secretary of State John Kerry has proposed.

Israeli army attacks two elementary schools in Salfit

Two educational institutions were attacked with tear gas and stun grenades by the Israeli army yesterday morning in Salfit. At least ten female students required medical attention after suffering from excessive tear gas inhalation.

At 12:30 yesterday afternoon, Salfit’s female elementary school was empty. Only a few staff remained, attempting to clean the walls after Israeli soldiers threw tear gas and stun grenades in an attack earlier in the morning. According to the headmistress of the school, the attack took place at approximately 9:30 am. At this time, the classrooms were full of female students between the ages of six and 12-years-old. The soldiers shot the tear gas from the street and it landed in the playground, school corridors and on the roof, with the tear gas itself drifting into the classrooms.

“This year in Jerusalem, Israeli policies limit the number of Palestinians who can live in the city” of Jerusalem, says Rabbi Brant Rosen.

“This year in Jerusalem, Palestinian Jerusalemites are considered permanent residents. Israel considers them immigrants,” adds Rabbi Margaret Holub. Effectively, Israel treats Palestinians whose roots in Jerusalem go back generations as if they were immigrants who must earn and qualify for the right to remain.

Americans Still Blind to Israel’s Domination of Palestine

Israel’s War on American Universities: Chris Hedges

The focus of many Students for Justice in Palestine chapters at U.S. universities has been responding to the 2005 call of Palestinian civil society for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel, on the model of the international campaign against Apartheid South Africa. By boycotting Israeli goods, divesting our universities from companies that directly assist the colonization of Palestine and pushing for an arms sanction against Israel until it complies with international law and discontinues its war crimes and crimes against humanity, the groups hope to join with Palestinians and people of conscience internationally to bring down another apartheid state.

Iran, Orientalism, and Western Illusions about Syria

The Syrian war is about Israel and its controlled politicians in the West taking revenge on a government that has single-handedly stood up against the Zionist regime for three decades and has defended resistance groups in Palestine and Lebanon, and the war is about targeting Iran.

The U.S. and EU sanctions on Iran, along with the constant vilification of Iran by these countries or the “international community” as they narcissistically call themselves, are immoral and inhumane.

A number of oil-rich Gulf State monarchies, with Western coordination and logistical support have—in violation of international law—heavily funding sectarian extremists and al-Qaeda affiliates in Syria.
Continued support for foreign extremists and al-Qaeda affiliates is no longer simply a regional threat; it has become a global threat much greater than what existed in Afghanistan.

n Israel itself, there is a growth of racism, there is a growth of religious extremism. The book The King’s Torah was a bestseller. This is a book that said Jews and non-Jews are basically different in nature, Jews are much closer to God than non-Jews, who are referred to as uncompassionate….

A RABBI’S RESPONSE TO ISRAELI CHECKPOINTS

We are reminded and enjoined many times in the Torah, and with particular relevance as Passover approaches, to love theger, the other, to look after the needs of widows and orphans, those less fortunate than us, because we know in our kishkes, deep in our innards, what it feels like to be oppressed. It is our obligation. Nowhere is it written that the ger has to love us.

Netanyahu Orders Israeli Ministers To Stop Meeting Palestinian Counterparts

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered his ministers Wednesday to cut off contact with their Palestinian counterparts, an official said, the latest in a series of troubles plaguing floundering U.S.-brokered peace talks.

The move is retaliation for a Palestinian bid to join United Nations agencies, which the official said was a violation of the Palestinians' commitment in the peace talks. The Palestinians dismissed the Israeli move, saying both sides rarely meet now as it is.

Abbas signed letters of accession for 15 international conventions after Israel last week failed to release the fourth group of prisoners and renewed a push to build homes in an Israeli settlement in east Jerusalem — the area of the holy city sought by the Palestinians for their future capital. Israel then called off the final prisoner release.

Webmaster's Commentary:

SOMEWHERE in Netanyahu's CV is a PH.D in "blame the victims"; and I say this because this is the card he plays over and over again, as though he has zero other options.

Netanyahu, by refusing to release the last batch of political prisoners, coupled with massive building of Israeli-only housing in both East Jerusalem and the West bank, gave the Palestinians absolutely nowhere to go but to the UN to follow their quest for statehood. Then he blamed them for taking the only course open to them.

Netanyahu needs to understand that the next generation of Palestinians will not be as patient as has "the old guard", represented by Abbas and Erekat. As things deteriorate for the Palestinians, they may well be far more militant, and far better trained in insurgency than were their parents and grandparents.

They will not take the wretchedly apartheid attitudes of Israelis lightly. And when you have a "moral rock star" like the retired Bishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa (who has lived through apartheid) stating that Israel is truly an apartheid society, you can pretty much bet that this guy is telling the truth.

Netanyahu has squandered an historic opportunity to create peace and justice here, with his bombastic, hubristic, bellicose rhetoric, and it is a profound mystery to me why any Israelis support him at all at this moment in their history.

A thriving Israel, complemented by a thriving Palestine, would do much to really ratchet down the tensions in the region; but Netanyahu appears to want to do just the polar opposite.

Threatening attacks against Syria and Iran, then potentially actually carrying them out, cannot possibly lead to peace, and will put the Israeli people in greater jeopardy of finding themselves attacked, and mercilessly, by other nations in the region and beyond.

I do not want to see this happen.

Former foreign minister Bob Carr says 'pro-Israel lobby' influenced government policy

Former foreign minister Bob Carr has hit out at what he calls the "pro-Israel lobby in Melbourne", saying it wielded "extraordinary influence" on Australia's policy during his time in Julia Gillard's cabinet.

Speaking to ABC's 7.30 program, Mr Carr said "extreme right wing" pro-Israel lobbyists had an "unhealthy" influence on Australia's policy towards Israel and the Occupied Territories.

Former foreign minister Bob Carr has launched a withering denunciation of ex prime minister Julia Gillard and Victorian allies, including Bill Shorten, over their attempts to stymie an Australian vote at the United Nations to elevate Palestine’s status.

Carr also heaps scorn on Gillard staff-member Bruce Wolpe, whom he portrays as a tool of a Melbourne-based pro-Israel lobby, for his efforts to ensure Australia maintained an uncritical view of Israel’s settlements policy.

Friedman the Fox

At face value, what Thomas Friedman states in his Op-Ed column, New York Times Sunday Review, April 5, 2014, sounds like a clear statement of facts, but only at face value.

Thomas Friedman is correct in his appraisal of Sheldon Adelson’s blind and passionate “zealously pro-Israel” mindset, which he believes will ultimately work against the long-term preservation of Israel as a Jewish state.

But just like Sheldon Adelson, Thomas Friedman wants a racist, ethnocentric Jewish state when the only solution is a civilized democratic state where Jews, Moslems, and Christians of all denominations live together as one nation.

TIME TO ONCE AGAIN CLEANSE THE LAND OF BREAD AND ARABS

Jewish mothers used to go into a cleaning frenzie a week or so before the Festival of Passover. All traces of leaven (chametz) had to be removed from the home before the onset of the holiday. Modern folk have determined that dust is not chametz, so there is less madness involved in the cleaning process, but Israel has added a new dimension to the situation; Arabs must be removed as well as the leaven.

SODASTREAM GOES FLAT DUE TO BOYCOTT

So much for the Scarlett “charm,” SodaStream’s millions spent on propaganda and PR, and its lies about BDS not affecting its performance…. This may go down as one of the worst corporate PR campaign of all times!

Webmaster's Commentary:

I actually got a notice from Sodastream's lawyers to take down a video that infringed on their trademark. I did not actually have such a video on my server, but had linked to it on YouTube. It was a spoof video showing a family working with the Sodastream machine dubbed over with sounds of guns being loaded and cocked, making the point that Sodastream is part of the problem when it comes to Israel and Palestine. I am glad that the protests and BDS are having an impact. It seems like a general boycott is the only peaceful tool We The People have left to bring about change ... which is why it will probably be made illegal soon.

Israeli restrictions over Palestinian movement violate Christian religious freedom during Easter

A group of Christians from East Jerusalem on Sunday said that Israel’s restrictions on Palestinian mobility resulted in violations of religious freedoms. The statement, signed “Palestinian Christian Organizations in Occupied East Jerusalem,” complained that Christians are often denied access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre during the Easter holidays. Each Easter, checkpoints are erected “at the Gates and in the alley, thus preventing the worshipers from free access to the Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the vicinity of the Christian Quarter.” Israel’s restrictions on Palestinian Christians are a part of larger strategy of Judaization in Jerusalem, the statement said. “The restrictive measures constitute grave violation on the freedom of worship, and amount to discrimination against Christians because the occupation authorities want to negate Christian presence and create the impression of a Jewish-only city.”

Christopher Bollyn: Malaysian Flight 370?s evil twin still lurks in Tel Aviv! (podcast)

Has Christopher Bollyn’s article Are the Israelis Planning Another 9-11 Using the Missing Boeing 777? stopped a big false flag? At the very least, Bollyn is asking some very good questions, such as:

“Why would Israel have a plane identical to the missing Malaysia Airlines plane in storage in Tel Aviv? The plane in this photo is Boeing 777 2H6(ER) first flown in July 1998, Construction No. 28416* (Original Reg. No. 9M-MRI), an identical twin of the missing plane, which was given a new registration number (N105GT) and flown to Israel in November 2013.”

In this interview, Christopher Bollyn discusses the well-documented and extremely suspicious history of the “evil twin” of Flight 370 – and wonders whether the plan wasn’t to dump 370 into the ocean, then slam the “evil twin” into a skyscraper in Tel Aviv, blame the Iranians via the two photoshopped patsies, and launch Netanyahu’s 3 billion dollar go-it-alone attack on Iran?

Distracted by the Israel-Palestine “Peace Process”: What Really Happened during the Talks

As Bassem Khoury, a former Palestinian Authority minister, observed last week: “Israel hasn’t changed. It is the same colonial entity pursuing the same ethnic cleansing policies it did for decades.”

That was also the little-noticed conclusion reached by Richard Falk as he stepped down last month as the UN’s special rapporteur on human rights in the occupied territories. In line with warnings he has issued in his UN post for the past six years, Falk, a professor emeritus in international law at Princeton University, said Israeli policies were designed to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from the occupied territories, and especially East Jerusalem, the expected capital of any Palestinian state.

Falk noted that Israel had cynically exploited the peace process to expand its settlement programme, as it did again during these past nine months of talks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Israeli government has demonstrated, consistently, that it does not at all want peace, but wants territory, and by any means necessary.

THE BOYCOTT CAN BECOME ISRAEL’S ‘WAKE UP CALL’

Many Israelis are shielded from the occupation. To those soaking up the sun on a Tel Aviv beach or working in a hi-tech hub in Haifa, Gaza and the West Bank feel like another planet. A boycott – whether it’s the ending of academic links; the refusal of artists to perform; the divestment of international companies for reputational reasons; or a consumer rejecting Israeli produce in the supermarket – has the potential to jolt Israelis from this somnolence.

Uri Avnery: The Monster on the Hill

THE BASIC problem is that the American political process is totally corrupt. There is no other way to put it.
It is nice to think that ordinary citizens can raise these sums with their modest donations, but that is an illusion. Donations of these dimensions can only come from the rich, especially from the very, very rich.

In Las Vegas, potential GOP Presidential candidates groveled before Jewish billionaire Sheldon Adelson who has one primary interest: potential Presidential candidates must support the militaristic right wing in Israel.
Mighty governors of important states did their best to sell themselves like applicants at a job interview. Each of them tried to trump the others in promising to do the Mogul’s bidding.

If Adelson succeeds in installing his favorite in the White House, the U.S. will become totally subservient to the extreme right-wing in Israel. He might as well put Netanyahu in the Oval Office.

Uri Avnery writes from Israel:
