Europe Revokes Monsanto’s ‘Fraudulent’ GMO Tomato Patent

Patent EP1812575 held by Monsanto has been revoked by the European Patent Office (EPO) after the international coalition No Patents on Seeds! filed an opposition in May 2014.

A further opposition was filed by Nunhems / Bayer CropScience. In November 2014, Monsanto requested that the patent be revoked in its entirety and the EPO complied with this request.

The patent covered conventionally bred tomatoes with a natural resistance to a fungal disease called botrytis, which were claimed as an invention. The original tomatoes used for this patent were accessed via the international gene bank in Gatersleben, Germany, and it was already known that these plants had the desired resistance. Monsanto produced a cleverly worded patent in order to create the impression that genetic engineering had been used to produce the tomatoes and to make it look ‘inventive’...

RABBINICAL TAUNTING OF THE SEASON

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach taunted a crowd of human rights protesters in front of the seemingly closed and emptied flagship Leviev diamond store on Madison Avenue. Leviev’s companies have built thousands of Israeli settlement homes and have been accused of abusing and torturing Angolan diamond miners.

Boteach stood in front of the empty Leviev store and began shouting. “Israel,” “Down with Hamas,” “Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East,” “Down with the Palestinians.” He suddenly stopped and complained that he was being videotaped. Police told Boteach to leave as he was drowned out by chants of, “How fancy, how pretty, Leviev out of New York City.” Boteach was accompanied by a young man wearing a scarf for the notoriously racist Beitar Jerusalem football team. Boteach has expressed his support for Hebron’s notoriously violent and racist settlers.

Missouri Bill Would Ban Material Support or Resources to the NSA

Activist Post

With Congress not only failing to rein in National Security Agency (NSA) spying, but actually expanding its power in a recent funding bill, many privacy activists are looking to the states to take action to block warrantless surveillance programs. A bill filed late last week in Missouri would not only support efforts to turn of NSA's water in Utah, but have some practical effect in the Show Me State should it pass...

Season of Goodwill… West Delivers Sanctions, Suffering and Conflict

A Christmas Carol? The EU is not only Scrooge unrepentant. It is also the biggest Stooge for American war-making.

It’s the Season of Goodwill – and Western governments are showering us with a medley of their «gifts». Sanctions, austerity, lethal military aid and red-hot coals of conflict.

Meanwhile, the contrast of Russian humanitarian aid to Ukraine could not be greater or more telling. This week another convoy of trucks from Russia – at least the tenth so far in recent months – is due to arrive in eastern Ukraine, bearing food, clothing, heating and toys for the war-torn children of Luhansk and Donetsk.

Only in the cynical, mean-spirited West would such a juxtaposition of very different Russian conduct be misconstrued.

Here you have my two best choice, FACTS, facts and more facts — documenting the repetitiveness of the behavior patterns as well as the costs. Focusing on the how, highlighting the duplicity and hoping no one likes to be played for the fool!

Houston P.D. Orders All Officers Turn Off Body Cameras During Protest

As an activist who has been around the block a few times, I knew that little would endanger a crowd more than a crowd of officers who had just received an order from higher up to disable their own personal accountability.

How a Youtube Video Helped a NY Woman Learn To Properly Deal With Rogue Police and Win $1.12 Million

The 'right-wing' woman in New York who was awarded $1.12 million dollars by a jury in a federal civil rights lawsuit for false arrest, has an interesting history which in all probability, helped her lead to victory. I am so happy for Nancy Genovese, as I have had some e-mail exchanges with her over the years and know she is a good sincere person. I wrote a story about Nancy's case in 2009, which appeared on PrisonPlanet.com and I followed it up in 2010 with news of her suit. However, particularly revealing are some 2009 blog posts Nancy made about a contentious encounter she had with a rogue police officer two months prior to the incident outside the military base - and how one 45 minute Youtube video, according to Nancy herself, really taught her how to properly interact with police in these contentious situations- two months before her infamous arrest which made international news.

Bulgaria ready to issue South Stream permits

Bulgaria is ready to issue all the necessary permits for the construction of the South Stream pipeline, according to Prime Minister Boyko Borisov. He said it will up to Gazprom whether the pipeline is built or not.

Borisov said he has the full support and understanding of the European Union and that Bulgaria is not in the wrong and should not suffer financial consequences for stopping the project, the Bulgarian news agency BGNES reports.

Bulgaria was set to reap $600 million per year in transit fees, and investment on the Buglarian side was estimated at 3.5-4 billion euros.

Russia was originally planning to build a pipeline to Southern Europe to directly export gas, but EU legislation was used to continually delay the project. On December 1 during a visit to Turkey, Putin announced the pipeline would run through Turkey to Greece, instead of Bulgaria as originally proposed.

Ending the Cold War on Cuba? From the Freezer to the Chiller

If Washington ended its economic aggression against Cuba and others then it might just be a signal of real change. Otherwise it’s just more of the same imperialist policy that is the bedrock of American power.

As US President Barack Obama announced his surprise «historic» bid to normalize relations with Cuba this week, the New York Times swooned with glowing news. ‘US to Restore Full Relations With Cuba, Erasing a Last Trace of Cold War Hostility’ was how its top headline put it. Welcoming the development, the American «newspaper of record» said Obama vowed to «cut loose the shackles of the past» and to «sweep aside one of the last vestiges of the Cold War».

But, purple prose aside, the hard detail is that the ongoing illegal American embargo on Cuba will stay in place. Moreover, the move comes as Washington slaps on more sanctions against Russia and unleashes new sanctions on Venezuela.

Obama’s Belated Realism on Cuba

Just as ostracism and rejection of the normal give-and-take of diplomacy has been utterly unproductive in the case of Cuba, so too has been the case with Iran, with positive results having been obtained only when real diplomacy began under the current U.S. administration.

What most distinguishes the case of Cuba is the sheer length of time during which the futile posture of attempted isolation and embargo has been sustained. We long, long ago passed the point where we can say with finality and high confidence that the policy does not work.

In the Tanya, Chabad’s canonical text, all gentiles are declared to be super-abundant trash. This is Chabad’s view of Arab people in particular. The Israel Lobby Cowbird

How Israel lobbying organizations flit about Washington, hatching operatives into the U.S. federal government to pursue a solitary goal—advancing the interests of a foreign state.

How is the Israel lobby like a swarm of cowbirds?

Cowbirds use the devious strategy of brood parasitism, arriving at the nest of more parentally-oriented birds to lay their own eggs. Cowbirds then enjoy unburdened freedom to forage and thrive while their own young are raised, fed and protected by unsuspecting parents. If an avian host dares remove the cowbird’s offspring, the host’s own eggs—if not the entire nest—will likely be destroyed by the watchful cowbird.

Iran nuclear deal within grasp

The US-Iranian negotiations for a nuclear deal are slated to resume on Monday amidst growing optimism that this could be the end of the year-long endgame under way, and an accord is in sight, finally. The US secretary of state John Kerry recently said that the effort will be to reach an accord even before the extended deadline of end-June.

The target is to reach a political agreement by March 1, 2015and a comprehensive agreement by July 1. To be sure, if there was any disappointment that the deal couldn’t be struck yet after intense talks began an year ago, that has dispelled. The mood in Tehran bazaar is “bullish”, according to New York Times, sensing that a deal with the US is in the works.

The main reason for this growing optimism is that the two sides have a good idea by now of each other’s ‘red lines’ and also the grey area where give-and-take is possible. In sum, there is no more a need for brinkmanship or grandstanding.

US media in propaganda war with global anti-fracking activism

As 2014 comes to a close the American mainstream media has represented the most aggressive attack on global environmental movements that defend peoples’ right to live in healthy and clean environment worldwide.

The current attacks against anti-fracking everywhere seem to be locked in step with the growing pressure by the Obama administration on many countries to join trade agreements such as the Trans Pacific Partnership (TTP Americas-Asia) and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP US-EU), and the anti-environmental rhetoric has been revved up to almost hysterical proportions.

NSA Firefoxed: Mozilla team-up with Tor to improve internet privacy

The internet browser Mozilla is teaming up with Tor to give internet users greater security online. The new Polaris project is designed to combat internet censorship and make NSA like intrusion’s a thing of the past.

Edward Snowden’s revelations concerning the extent of the National Security Agency’s spying on the general public, hit computer and internet enthusiasts hard. A poll conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of the internet company Mozilla last month, found that three quarters of those surveyed feel that their personal information on the web is less secure than it was one year ago.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The comment in the article about the NSA not being able to find a TOR users identity is not entirely accurate. Recently it has come to light that if a user has the flash player installed on their computer, malicious code inside a flash object can detect the source IP of the request despite the onion network, which is why the current implementation of TOR recommends users not have the flash player installed. However I think that Mozilla and TOR will close that exploit (if they have not already done so).

As a general rule, everyone ought to be using anonymity tools and strong encryption, even if you do not really have anything to hide, to jam the NSA with added workload and confuse them as to who they should be looking at. For your local data protection or small-group communications, I strongly recommend investing the time to develop your own encryption methods using the code snippets in the NSA Challenge page as examples.

A (mild) thaw in US-Russia ties

Reports on the meeting between the US secretary of state John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the American Embassy Residence in Rome suggest that an urgent need has arisen for the Obama administration to seek the Kremlin’s cooperation in the Middle East crisis.

The Indian pundits must be surprised how such bonhomie could exist between Washington and Moscow at the UN SC on the very same day (Friday) in New York when the US state department mildly censored Delhi for doing ‘business’ with Russia during President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India.

Plainly put, that’s how the international system works, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only understood it perfectly well but has also been prescient about the imperatives of a Russian-American working relationship sooner rather than later, and of course the transitory nature of the current chill in Russia’s relations with the West.

There is no taboo against speaking of ISIS. The taboo related to ISIS is its connection to another American creation, the modern state of Israel.

POLITICAL PRISONER BARRETT BROWN TO BE SENTENCED TOMORROW – WHY THE RESULT MATTERS TO FREEDOM IN AMERICA

Barrett Lancaster Brown is a writer and activist who possesses a unique combination of ability, courage, wit and determination. This resume of personality traits turned him into a threatening individual once he decided to direct much of that energy against the prevailing corrupt status quo. This is also why he’s one of the roughly roughly 2.4 million Americans locked up within these United States; many of them for non-crimes. The Feds went after Barrett Brown in the same manner in which they went after Aaron Swartz (tactics that led to the suicide of the latter). They came out with a bunch of trumped up charges, including that of copying and pasting a link (that charge was later dropped), and threatened him with 105 years in jail.

Seattle Apodment Moratorium Imperils Innocent Retiring Mother.

Josh Randall ponders his mother's fate before Seattle City Council

Do I like apodments... err.... micro housing? In general, no. I will not eat them with green eggs and ham and Might I reconsider my general disdain depending on the circumstance? Yes. To wit, the situation with Kathleen Randall, in which the purchase of her U-District home at 4315 7th Avenue NE is imperiled because the developer cannot obtain a build permit. Permits are needed, inter alia, to fix a crumbled sewer line that rendered the home uninhabitable. The thing of it is, the application was submitted prior to imposition of the moratorium but as I told City Council yesterday I believe that much of pushback they are getting in permitting is because of the moratorium. I wrote Council today:

CIA torture details are appalling

The global ‘war on terror,’ conceived by the Israelis and launched by their American lackeys shortly after the false-flag attacks of 9/11, is nothing short of a cruel hoax on the world. The sadists and megalomaniacs who have executed this comical ruse may well evade justice in this lifetime, but history will record their foul deeds so that future generations will rightly view them as the monstrous villains that they have proven to be.

`Christopher Bollyn: Why Solving 9-11 is Our Most Urgent Task

One sure way to get a grasp of our political predicament is to logically analyze what the political leadership has done – and what it has failed to do – about the terror atrocity of 9-11.

Since September 11, 2001, four successive administrations and fourteen Sessions of Congress have utterly failed to conduct a proper criminal investigation of 9-11, a criminal atrocity that profoundly affected the course of the nation. Rather than investigate the mass murder of 3,000 people on 9-11, successive U.S. administrations have engaged in a criminal deception, using lies to take us into foreign wars while imposing police state measures at home.

The government’s egregious failure to conduct a proper criminal investigation into the events of 9-11 is exactly like the failure by the newly-installed president, Lyndon B. Johnson, to investigate the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. In both cases, rather than conducting proper criminal investigations, the government appointed commissions that produced seriously flawed reports that were simply meant to support the official, but false, version of events.

Senate torture report reveals American sadism

The global ‘war on terror,’ conceived by the Israelis and launched by their American lackeys shortly after the false-flag attacks of 9/11, is nothing short of a cruel hoax on the world. The sadists and megalomaniacs who have executed this comical ruse may well evade justice in this lifetime, but history will record their foul deeds so that future generations will rightly view them as the monstrous villains that they have proven to be.

A particularly cringe-worthy revelation is that the CIA practiced “rectal feeding” where prisoners on hunger strikes were force-fed through their rectum in order to keep them alive. The RT commentary cited above writes that, “At least five CIA detainees were subjected to ‘rectal rehydration,’ or rectal feeding, the Senate report reads, in order to keep prisoners alive who allegedly otherwise refused to eat.”

Miko Peled: This is NOT Recognition

As the recognition by European countries of a so called “State of Palestine” continues, it is becoming obvious that this is nothing but an old colonial trick dusted and reused. The fact that liberal Zionist hypocrites the likes of the Israeli writers Amoz Oz and David Grossman are all over it says it all.

In Palestine, speaking out against injustice is no longer enough. In fact it was never enough. As people of conscience we must act for the removal of the injustice and its replacement with a free, democratic system. But many forget that in order to achieve this there must be a struggle. A real struggle, and not some intellectualized version of a struggle as is often suggested by some Israeli liberals, is the only way to defeat racist, colonialist regimes.

The new European ‘arc of instability’

What’s certain is that the Empire of Chaos won’t relent in its strategy of heating up the new arc of instability – inside Europe, across the economic/financial spectrum – and instrumentalizing its pre-fabricated New Iron Curtain from the Baltic to the Black Sea.

The European Council on Foreign Relations and Berlin think-tank Friedrich Ebert Stiftung have just reached more or less the same conclusion.

If the dangerous stand-off between the EU and Russia over Ukraine is not solved, the EU could face, up to 2030, a military build-up in eastern Europe; a new arms race with NATO as a protagonist; and a semi-permanent “zone of instability” from the Baltic to the Balkans and the Black Sea.

Citigroup managing director found dead in the bathtub

Another banker? Citigroup managing director, dies in suspected suicide

Citigroup managing director Shawn D. Miller was found dead in the bathtub of his New York City apartment...Police believe Miller killed himself, Detective Martin Speechley, an NYPD spokesman, told Bloomberg News Wednesday. However, the official cause of death will remain a mystery until the autopsy report is concluded.

Investigators believe Miller killed himself after going on a drug, methamphetamine and alcohol bender, according to the Daily News, which said that cops found controlled substances in the apartment.

The banker was discovered by the building’s doorman on Tuesday afternoon, after his boyfriend was unable to get a hold of him. His body was found with a laceration to his neck, the NYPD said. He was pronounced dead by paramedics that arrived to the apartment.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission has just issued a recommendation for a three-year suspension of the license to practice law of yet another activist attorney.

The prosecution of attorney JoAnne Denison by the IARDC goes to the heart of the amalgamation of the legal system in the US into one streamlined cruise missile. The weaponization of the legal system has been part and parcel of the general attack on the Bill of Rights and Constitutional protections which have resulted in such actions as President Obama placing kill orders on American citizens and the removal of citizenship from independent journalists.

Argentina

Argentina, a brief summary:

until 1950, Argentina was 5th power on this planet. Everything worked perfect, there was infrastructure, and raw materials to feed the planet. With 1.5 metres top-soil average in the Pampa region, this is the most fertile and commercially viable place on the planet.
It was a paradise, and lots of fortunes were made there.

Enter WW2. In 1948, Argentina hadn't declared war on Germany yet. Why ? well, cuz they knew who was behind it. That is right, the Rothschild banksters, who had bankrolled Hitler.
So, the "World Bank" (now IMF) set up a blockade of Argentina. No more beef exports, no more Sorgum/Wheat/Corn/Milk exports.
After 2 years, the "World Bank" gave Argentina an ultimatum: either you install our puppet as a "democratic" ruler (Peron), and get rid of the Military gob-our-mint (until then not called a Junta).

“Hands up. Don’t shoot!”

“I can’t breathe!”

“How do we spell murder? NYPD!”

These were the sounds heard in the Times Sq. area last night as over 100 people gathered to protest the killings of unarmed Black people that have been going on for much too long in this country. A multi-racial, multi-ethnic group of people stood in the cold for 2 hours holding signs, reading the names of victims, and telling their stories to all who would listen. To further decry the long history of American racism, the names of people lynched, like Emmett Till, were included in the signs and recitation.

Where are the hundreds protesting the G20 unlocking our savings accounts for the banks to plunder at will? Where are the hundreds protesting pensions being allowed to cut benefits if they lose money on wall street fraud? Egypt alliance holds rallies against military rule

Members of Egypt's Anti-Coup Alliance have held nationwide rallies calling for an immediate end to military rule and the release of all political detainees in the North African country, Press TV reports.

Egyptian demonstrators who took to the streets on Friday were faced by security forces, but no heavy clashes were reported.

The alliance, led by the Muslim Brotherhood, also called for a round of national protests against the government of President Abdel Fatah el Sisi, who led a military coup last year against Mohamed Morsi, Egypt’s first democratically-elected president.

“The government is fragile and it will soon collapse because after the revolution which hasn’t achieved its goals yet, the people will not accept injustice anymore and they will for sure revolt against any tyrant,” said Fawzy Soliman of the Egyptian opposition group, the April 6 Youth Movement.

1954 Govt 'Report on Hate Groups' Villified Eustace Mullins, Ben Freedman, Opponents of Water Flouridation, 'Invisible Government' & 'Zionist Wars'

Sixty years ago this week, on 12/17/54, the U.S. House of Representatives 'Committee on Un-American Activities' released their 'Preliminary Report on Neo-Fascist and Hate groups'

In it, they demonized Eustace Mullins, Benjamin Freedman, and those who opposed Water Flouridation. They particularly hated the popular publication 'Common Sense' which was derided as a self-described "patriotic" outfit trying to "save America" from a shadow government and ran headlines such as "Jewish Leaders Are Crazy For Power," "Zionists Threaten Russia With War," and "Invisible Government Rules Both Parties." The Congressional report pointed out that Eustice Mullins wrote for the publication 'Commom Sense' and wealthy Jew Ben Freeedman, who had coverted to Catholicism and gave famous speeches warning of the Zionist threat, was a primary funder of it.

Brutal Footage From the Berkeley Protest Is Almost too Awful to Watch

While there have been many protests across the nation over the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, most have petered out by now. Only the demonstrations in Berkeley are still ongoing, although they too are finally coming to an end. As I wrote about yesterday, both sides of the conflict have engaged in shortsighted and destructive tactics to achieve their goals. Neither the cops, the protesters, nor the looters, should win a medal for the actions they have taken over the past few days.

But it should be noted that the actions taken by the protesters and looters, did not emerge from a vacuum. While I believe the way they vented their anger was completely unethical and non-constructive, we should not forget where this anger came from. There probably wouldn’t have been any looting or vandalism, had the police not reacted the way they did last Saturday.

Shielding Israel’s Secret Nukes

You know something doesn’t wash when the contrary views are as overwhelmingly held as on this matter. The resolution passed on a vote of 161-5.

Neither Israel nor the United States says publicly that Israel has nuclear weapons, but just about everyone else in the world takes it as a given that it does, which would make it the only state in the Middle East that does.

The stated rationale for the United States casting last Tuesday one of the very lonely votes it sometimes casts at the United Nations General Assembly, on matters on which almost the entire world sees things differently, warrants some reflection.

The resolution in question this time endorsed the creation of a nuclear weapons-free zone in the Middle East and called on Israel to join the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, to renounce any possession of nuclear weapons, and to put its nuclear facilities under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Apparently the state of Illinois didn't get the memo that recording the police is all the rage these days. That's because awaiting outgoing Gov. Pat Quinn's signature is legislation that would ban the practice in many circumstances.

Just last week, the state's House (by a 106 to 7 vote) and Senate (46 to 4) passed the measure. It seeks to get around an Illinois Supreme Court ruling earlier this year that struck down a previous law making it a crime to record police.

Berkeley Protest Halts Freeway Traffic-Pregnant Driver Goes into Labor

1,500 Demonstrators gathered for the third night in a row in Berkeley, California, to protest the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown. So far there have been scant reports of looting and property damage, unlike the previous nights that saw the first violent protests Berkeley has witnessed in decades. This time however, trouble didn't come from the police or the looters.

Now the protesters themselves are in the hot seat for some of the tactics they relied on last night. 150 demonstrators were arrested by Berkeley police, after attempting to disrupt several transportation networks around the city.

Video: Man records himself being pepper sprayed by Massachusetts State Police

Kin Moy, 24, was filming protesters near an onramp to 93 when he was asked by an officer to move back while attempting to recording an arrest. Moy's video, seen above, appears to show him comply with the officer's orders but the officer pepper sprays him anyway as he is moving backward.

Moy told the Boston Herald that he was participating in the protests with friends when he saw police "dog-piling" a protester.

“I wanted to film all of it just in case, and as I was backing up and complying with his demands but still trying to film everything, he sprayed me," Moy said to the Herald.

The video, which shows Moy's face briefly after he was pepper sprayed, lasts approximately 39 seconds.

US Peace Memorial Foundation

Many Americans are reluctant to speak out against a U.S. war. There are individual reasons for this: a sense of patriotism, the desire to support our troops, fear of reprisals, a lack of understanding about the political process, etc. Unfortunately, when we do not speak up, our elected officials do not receive sufficient feedback that we (their constituents) oppose a particular war. To demonstrate that advocating for peaceful solutions to international problems is an honorable and socially acceptable activity, the US Peace Memorial Foundation, Inc.:

Court and U.S. Chapter 7 Trustee Gary F. Seitz Caught Trying to Steal Property Instead of Allowing Chapter 13.

Wait for the taped phone call in a moment, but note first that former Eckert, Seamans Attorney Margaret England (more info) now works for the same law firm as Gary F. Seitz. England is a racist who called La Mar Gunn a nigger, as noted in a recent Federal Trial that Mr. Gunn won, pro se. So now we have discrimination against a Philipino family, nice.

In this case, the pro se Blanco family tried to file a Chapter 13 but checked the wrong box. Should be a simple matter to convert, right? I mean you know, seeing as they are trying to pay, rather than to extinguish a debt, right?

Germany Does Something the U.S. Hasn’t for Peace

On December 5, the renowned weekly newspaper Die Zeit published the letter “Another War in Europe? Not in our name!” The more than 60 personalities from politics, business, culture and media certainly do not sound like the typical voices for peace, and indeed they are not. Nevertheless they came together to demand de-escalatory politics between the United States and the European Union, on one side, and Russia. They appeal to the German federal government, its representatives and the media to assume their responsibility for peace in Europe. The desire for a world without war is one shared far beyond the peace movement choir.

CrossTalk: Arab Spring Mirage

With the judicial exoneration of Egypt’s former President Mubarak, we are forced to consider the condition of the so-called Arab Spring. Or even ponder if there was even such a thing. And whether Washington actually prefers dictators and monarchs in the region, notes Peter Lavelle.

Russia, Turkey pivot across Eurasia

This is what the New Great Game in Eurasia is all about.

The latest, spectacular “Exit South Stream, Enter Turk Stream” Pipelinistan gambit will be sending big geopolitical shockwaves all across Eurasia for quite some time. This is what the New Great Game in Eurasia is all about.

In a nutshell, a few years ago Russia devised North Stream – fully operational – and South Stream – still a project – to bypass unreliable Ukraine as a gas transit nation. Now Russia devises a new sweet deal with Turkey to bypass the “non-constructive” (Putin’s words) approach of the European Commission (EC) concerning the European “Third Energy Package”, which prohibits one company from controlling the full cycle of extraction, transportation and sale of energy resources.

Don’t Risk War With Russia

Washington rushes to court open conflict with Moscow against every rational interest. It is not wise to provoke a powerful enemy unless a vital national interest is at stake, which is not the case with Ukraine and Crimea.

Today, more than 20 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union, there are many indications that Washington is slipping into a new and completely unnecessary confrontation with Moscow, only this time it is not being run largely out of sight by the CIA. Much of the new conflict is being conducted openly, with sanctions and resolutions by Congress, regular appearances in unstable regions overseas by senior state department officials and politicians, and trainings in new media political organizing funded by quasi non-governmental organizations like the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).

And pop royalty Jay Z supported the statement by posing for a picture with four Nets players wearing the customized shirts. Cops mock Garner with #WeCanBreathe tweet

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department attracted scrutiny over the weekend for a tweet that seemed to mock Eric Garner, the black man killed by New York City police in July by means many, including protesters nationwide, have deemed excessive.

In response to criticism over arrests made during protests in Indianapolis over a grand jury’s decision not to indict a New York officer for Garner’s death, Kendale Adams, a public information officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), tweeted Thursday evening from the IMPD’s Twitter feed “…communication with those involved was peaceful and appropriate but some opted for arrest by #choice, #WeCanBreathe.”

The hashtag #WeCanBreathe is a reference to Garner’s last words: Video of the incident shows that Garner said “I can’t breathe” 11 times as he was put into a chokehold by NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo.

Gangs of New York: Post-Garner NYPD on Watch for Militant Blacks ‘Preparing to Shoot On-Duty Police Officers’

While outrage continues to brew over the non-indictment of the officer that choked Eric Garner to death for selling “loose” untaxed cigarettes on the streets of New York, the NYPD is digging in, as the above New York Daily News image suggests.

Amid anti-police sentiments, the NYPD has claimed that members of the “Black Guerilla Family” are threatening to shoot on-duty police officers in New York. The group is known as an “ideological African-American Marxist revolutionary organization composed of prisoners” set up in the sixties, with inspiration from black leaders including Marcus Garvey.

The New York Daily News carried the exclusive, and included a photo of document with the typed warning:

Fuel crisis forced shut down of biggest nuclear power plant in Ukraine

Kiev Regime – a Disaster Awaiting Meltdown

Was the forced shutdown of the biggest nuclear power plant in Ukraine last week a result of the country’s fuel crisis? That crisis is itself a product to the political crisis that the Western sponsors have engendered in the country with the illegal coup in Kiev earlier this year.

The Zaporozhiya nuclear power station, which was forced to shut down on November 28, is located on the Dneiper River in southeast Ukraine. It is not only the biggest in the country, it is also the largest operating facility in Europe, with an output of 6,000 megawatts. Ukraine relies on four nuclear power plants for the supply of about half of all its electricity requirements.

Ukraine’s Made-in-USA Finance Minister

Though it’s difficult for an outsider to ascertain the relative merits of these insider deals, they could reflect negatively on Jaresko’s role as Ukraine’s new finance minister given the country’s reputation for corruption and cronyism, a principal argument for the U.S.-backed “regime change” that ousted elected President Viktor Yanukovych last February.

The substantial U.S. government sum invested in Jaresko’s WNISEF-based equity fund also sheds new light on how it was possible for Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Victoria Nuland to tally up U.S. spending on Ukraine since it became independent in 1991 and reach the astounding figure of “more than $5 billion,” which she announced to a meeting of U.S.-Ukrainian business leaders last December as she was pushing for “regime change” in Kiev.

America on “Hot War Footing” as House Paves Way for War with Russia

Mainstream Media Blacks Out as U.S. House of Representatives Passes Dark War on Russia Resolution 758.

America is on a war footing. While, a World War Three Scenario has been on the drawing board of the Pentagon for more than ten years, military action against Russia is now contemplated at an “operational level”. Similarly, both the Senate and the House have introduced enabling legislation which provides legitimacy to conduct a war against Russia.

The adoption of a major piece of legislation by the US House of Representatives on December 4th (H. Res. 758) would provide (pending a vote in the Senate) a de facto green light to the US president and commander in chief to initiate –without congressional approval– a process of military confrontation with Russia.

Global security is at stake. This historic vote –which potentially could affect the lives of hundreds of millions of people Worldwide– has received virtually no media coverage. A total media blackout prevails.

The Ferguson Conundrum Solved By Community Security

Many times in the past I have discussed the concept of what I call the “non-participation principle,” but often people misinterpret what “non-participation” really entails. Such a strategy does not mean an individual activist or group simply refuses to support the system by not using Federal Reserve notes, or not paying taxes, or not buying Monsanto-generated frankenfoods. That kind of thing is all well and good, but ultimately, non-participation means TAKING away power from the corrupt political and financial elite. Sometimes, this is done through force of arms — but not always in the way some might believe.
