Obama calls for mandatory voting in U.S.

President Obama, whose party was trounced in last year’s midterm election due to poor turnout among Democrats, endorsed the idea of mandatory voting Wednesday.

“It would be transformative if everybody voted,” Mr. Obama said during a town-hall event in Cleveland. “That would counteract [campaign] money more than anything. If everybody voted, then it would completely change the political map in this country.”

Mr. Obama raised the subject during a discussion of curbing the influence of campaign donations in U.S. elections. The president said he had never discussed the idea publicly before, but said Australia and some other countries have compulsory voting.

In Democracy, voting is optional. In a dictatorship, it is mandatory, to conceal that it is a dictatorship!

The first exit polls presaged a rough tie between the Likud and Zionist Union.

Exit pollsters who presented a woefully inaccurate map of Tuesday’s election outcome that night, are searching for clues as to why their results differed so vastly from the actual votes being counted.

The difference between the final public polls published the Friday before elections and the actual results are expected to have large gaps.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The reason to have exit polls is to verify the accuracy of the official vote. When they don;t line up, it means the election was stolen.

Imagine my shock.

Netanyahu Wins by Stephen Lendman

snip: Believing otherwise is foolhardy. Israel's 20% Arab population is powerless, persecuted, and denied rights afforded solely to Jews. Election results changed nothing.

Israel is like America. Democracy is pure fantasy. Not a dime's worth of difference separates major parties on issues mattering most.

Voter choices are largely bad or worse. For Israeli Arab citizens and most Jews, Netanyahu or Herzog makes no difference.

Election results changed nothing. Government headed by either leader assures ugly business as usual.

Both and likely coalition partners support:
apartheid worse than South Africa's;
militarized occupation harshness;
settlement construction on stolen Palestinian land;
war, not peace;
Arabs denied virtually all rights afforded Jews; and
continuation of decades if institutionalized racism.

Greeks elect new parliament amid EU withdrawal concerns

Greeks are going to polling stations on Sunday to elect a new parliament. The populist radical-leftist party Syriza has won the hearts of many austerity-ridden people with its message of reverting wages cuts and renegotiating debt obligations.

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras was forced to call a snap vote in December after the parliament failed to elect a president. His center-right New Democracy party is now running behind Syriza, with opinion polls showing a gap of several percentage points.

Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras urged his voters to give his party an outright victory of 40 percent, which would allow him to form a government with no help from other parties.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That is because the last time Greece held elections, Syriza won, but the pro-banker politicians refused to form a coalition government, forcing a second election that Syriza lost by a razor thin margin amid reports of wide-scale election fraud.

Illegal pro-GMO observers accused of disrupting Oregon labeling law vote count

Amid a recount of Oregon’s ballot initiative over labeling of genetically-modified foods, the pro-agribusiness contingent, known as the “No on 92 Coalition,” tried to illegally place out-of-state election observers in at least four counties, opponents say.

The statewide vote on Measure 92 - which, if passed, would demand genetically-engineered ingredients to be labeled as such - is subject to a hand recount given the original, computerized tally showed that the initiative failed by just 812 votes, within the mandatory-recount margin. The recount began on Tuesday and will continue through Dec. 9.

The campaign over Measure 92 was the most expensive in the state’s history, as powerful biotechnology firms like Monsanto and DuPont pumped about $21 million against the initiative, while supporters culled about $9 million.

Harvard students take the 1964 Louisiana Literacy Test that black voters had to pass before being allowed to go to the polls - and every single person FAILED

A group of Harvard students were recently asked by their tutor to sit the 1964 Louisiana Literacy Test - a notorious document with confusing questions that was used to stop black citizens from voting.

Just 50 years ago, states in the South asked voters who couldn't provide proof of a fifth grade education to pass the test in order to be eligible to cast a ballot.

The test was intended to disenfranchise African-Americans, who in order to pass had to correctly answer all 30 questions in 10 minutes.

Despite their Ivy League pedigree, none of the students managed to pass the test and their reactions as they struggled to make sense of the obtuse questions was filmed.

Voters urge GOP to stamp out illegal alien election fraud, poll shows

While the usual post-elections analysts explain away the anger felt by many American voters, those casting their ballots for GOP candidate may have done so in the hopes of putting an end to what they discerned as a lawlessness and deceitfulness in the current White House, according to a report on Thursday by a top watchdog group that investigates and exposes government corruption and out-and-out criminal acts by political leaders and their subordinates. Despite being told that voter fraud is rare by the people who benefit from illegal voting and their media sycophants, Americans believe that the security of U.S. elections is a necessity.

Voting Machine Disabled After Allegedly Failing to Show Greg Abbott's Name on Ballot

Election officials in San Antonio, Texas are examining a disabled voting machine after it allegedly left Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott's name off of the ballot.

Earlier on Tuesday, the machine was being utilized in Bexar County's First Chinese Baptist Church of San Antonio.

Bexar County Election Administrator Jacque Callan told local media outlet KENS 5 that the machine was "experiencing issues." According to Callan, the machine has a counter which will allow election officials to determine exactly how many voters used it.

At this point, there is no explanation as to how -- or why -- the glitch occurred.

GOP name missing, voting machines malfunction

Dozens of precincts across Virginia on Tuesday reported voting machine troubles, while in Colorado the state’s election system had to be rebooted, and in Texas the Republican candidate’s name was found to be missing from the ballots in one county.

The incidents, and others that have arisen Tuesday, raised questions about the integrity of the American election system, which has taken a bludgeoning in recent years because of incidents of fraud.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If a government cannot prove the honesty and accuracy of the elections by which they claim authority over the people, then the people are neither legally nor morally obligated to obey that government's dictates nor to pay its bills nor to send their children to die in that government's wars, and may with full moral justification resist with lethal force efforts to coerce said obedience, looting, and conscription.

Landslide! Republicans capture Senate and prized governorships

Republicans held all of their seats and picked up more than the six seats needed to take control of the Senate Tuesday night, as voters across the country delivering a scorching rebuke of President Obama’s tenure.

Pickups in South Dakota, Montana, West Virginia, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa and North Carolina earned Republicans the majority with a seat to spare, and they were already the favorite to win a runoff in Louisiana in December, which would give them 53 seats.

Republicans also were poised to capture the Democratic-held seat in Alaska and staged a surprisingly close finish in Virginia, though incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Warner appeared to be holding on to a razor-thin lead and declared victory before Republican Ed Gillespie conceded the race.

Gillespie Somehow Lost 5657-98 in Precincts Where He Received 9 or Fewer Votes

In an interesting coincidence, in a number of precincts, Republican Ed Gillespie received fewer than 10 votes. Yet, this was not because of a lack of eligible voters.

Instead, Gillespie’s opponent, Mark Warner, did extremely well in such precincts, drastically out-gaining his opponent. Warner went on to win.

Added together, the precincts that Gillespie received 9 or fewer votes adds up to 98. In those same precincts, Warner received an astounding 5,657 votes.

Video: Vote For Republican Automatically Registers For Democrat

The Virginia Republican party says there are problems with some touchscreen voting machines in Virginia Beach and other communities. The party sent out a video of one voter attempting to vote for Republican House member Scott Rigell. As the voter's finger touches Rigell's box, the vote is registered for Suzanne Patrick. Watch the video below:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now then, before we get the usual flood of "Calibration error" and "fat fingered voters" and "there is no vote fraud" poured on us by the media, some common sense. If there really is a mechanical fault in the system, the errors should go both ways. For every GOP vote that flops over to the Democrat, there should statistically be one that flips a Democrat vote back to the GOP. But there isn't. ALL of the "errors" switch GOP votes to the Democrats.

Election conspiracy theories, an American staple

In 2012 we conducted surveys to gauge what Americans thought about the integrity of the system. Just before the election, we asked a national sample of respondents about the likelihood of voter fraud if their preferred presidential candidate did not win. About 50% said fraud would have been very or somewhat likely. When asked if someone was using "dirty tricks" in the election, about 85% believed that some candidate, campaign or political group was.

These sentiments are not driven by members of one party or the other: Near equal numbers of Republicans and Democrats (between 40% and 50%) said fraud would be very or somewhat likely. Each side believes that if they lose, cheating is to blame, and they believe it about equally. Nobody likes losing, but it appears hard for about half the country to accept that they lost fair and square.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Despite this admission, this article is a puff-piece; one of many hitting the corporate media today, trying to assure Americans the US elections are fair and honest. From their own admitted poll results, they have failed.

A Flood of Late Spending on Midterm Elections, From Murky Sources

A stealthy coterie of difficult-to-trace outside groups is slipping tens of millions of dollars of attacks ads and negative automated telephone calls into the final days of the midterm campaign, helping fuel an unprecedented surge of last-minute spending on Senate races.

Much of the advertising is being timed to ensure that no voter will know who is paying for it until after the election on Tuesday. Some of the groups are “super PACs” that did not exist before Labor Day but have since spent heavily on political advertising, adding to the volatility of close Senate and House races.

Wasserman-Schultz, DNC hire army of lawyers to challenge election results

The Democratic National Committee (DNC), led by its hard hitting and verbose chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, has hundreds of attorneys on retainer in order to fight the results of Tuesday's elections if things don't go their way, according a number of news stories on Sunday.

Voter identification laws appear to be the primary point of contention, with Republicans supporting the law and the Democrats opposing them. The DNC continues to use its "get out the vote" tactics while making allegations that the GOP is trying to "disenfranchise" minority voters, some of whom were proven to have been bused in from other districts or even states.

‘Calibration error’ changes GOP votes to Dem in Illinois county

The conservative website Illinois Review reported that “While using a touch screen voting machine in Schaumburg, Moynihan voted for several races on the ballot, only to find that whenever he voted for a Republican candidate, the machine registered the vote for a Democrat in the same race. He notified the election judge at his polling place and demonstrated that it continued to cast a vote for the opposing candidate’s party. Moynihan was eventually allowed to vote for Republican candidates, including his own race.

Moynihan offered this gracious lesson to his followers on Twitter: “Be careful when you vote in Illinois. Make sure you take the time to check your votes before submitting.”

“We can confirm that Crown counsel has instructed Police Scotland to commence an investigation into alleged breaches of Schedule 7, Paragraph 7, of the Scottish Independence Referendum Act 2013,” the Scottish prosecution service said in a statement on Saturday.

The allegations apparently relate to comments by Scottish Conservative Party Leader and Member of the Scottish Parliament Ruth Davidson, who said pro-UK campaigners violated electoral law by counting postal votes ahead of referendum polling day.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But apparently not the photos and videos of fraud, or the bags of abandoned YES votes. This is merely pretending their is an investigation with which to reassure the slaves that they did in fact vote for their enslavement.

We the undersigned demand a revote of the Scottish Referendum, counted by impartial international parties.

Countless evidences of fraud during the recent Scottish Referendum have come to light. We demand a revote be taken of said referendum, where each vote shall be counted by two individuals, one of whom should be an international impartial party without a stake in the vote.

Special Report: Scottish Referendum Rigged - The 'How' and the 'Why'

The petition demanding a re-run of the Scottish referendum, "counted by impartial international parties", has now reached 93,000 signatures as incredulous reaction mounts to the highly dubious referendum vote. Even Ron Paul expressed extreme scepticism about the result. The British media, meanwhile, is having a field day mocking the viral video footage of suspect activity at counting venues across Scotland, laughing off the fact that the only international observers to report anything about how the referendum was conducted were Russian observers, and dismissing Scots' calls for recounts and fresh referenda as being "sour grapes" based on "conspiracy theories".

But are these 93,000 (mostly) Scottish citizens, and the thousands of Facebook users demanding an investigation, just deluded sore losers?

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Scottish referendum was so crooked they had to screw those ballots into the ballot boxes!

Mississippi Votes stolen from Paul

Well I took a few screen shots of just one county at different times and this is what I found... This is Mississippi - 100% Carroll County - 43% & 64% Carroll County

Way off!!

so at 43% he has 132 votes in that 1 county, and at 100% he has 47 votes in that same county.

Romney Declines To Enroll In Medicare

Mitt Romney Declines To Enroll In Medicare So He Can Destroy It

Monday was Mitt Romney's 65th birthday. Happy birthday, Mittens. In honor of his 65th birthday he announced that he would not be enrolling in Social Security or Medicare. How noble. Except, it's not.

In deference to the conservative dogs nipping his heels, Romney has endorsed the Paul Ryan Medicare plan which would voucherize Medicare and leave senior citizens floundering on their own with private insurance companies. Of course, if you asked Mitt Romney about it, what you'd get is a bunch of lies. Really awful, cynical, blatant lies.

Bain Capital Owns Clear Channel (Romney Supported by Talk Show sphere)

Wouldn’t it be great if a Republican presidential candidate could just buy the support of just about every major conservative talk show host in America? Well, it may not be as far-fetched as you may think.

Clear Channel owns more radio stations (850) than anyone else in the United States. They also own Premiere Radio Networks, the company that syndicates the radio shows of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck, among others.

Needless to say, Clear Channel basically owns conservative talk radio in the United States. So who owns Clear Channel?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Of course all these conservative propagandists, in addition to their radio shows on Clear Channel, also have programs on TV as well, into which they carry their agenda. after all, they cannot be pro-Romney on their radio shows, then be pro-anyone else on TV! So, Bain not only controls the pro-Romney bias of Clear Channel but indirectly the content of TV political reporting as well!
