Israel bombs Gaza for first time since summer assault

Israeli war jets bombed targets in the southern Gaza Strip, witnesses and the army said early Saturday, hours after a projectile from the besieged Palestinian enclave hit open ground in southern Israel.

A spokesman for Gaza's health ministry said there were no casualties in the attack, the first airstrike by Israel on the Palestinian enclave since the summer truce that ended Israel's 50-day assault on Gaza which killed over 2,000 Palestinians, the overwhelming majority of them civilians.

The Israeli army confirmed the strike, which it said "targeted a Hamas terror infrastructure site."

Webmaster's Commentary:

You need to ask yourself if Palestine would fire a single rocket into Israel just as the resolutions on Palestine are about to go before the Security Council. And a moment's thought suggests that Palestine is not that stupid and this is another Israel false-flag.

John Kerry already indicated the US would veto all Palestinian Resolutions, but this is uncomfortable for the US Government as it underscores that they are slaves to Israel. Better for the US and better for Israel if the resolutions are "interrupted." Hence an Israeli collaborator in Israel fires a fireworks rocket into an empty lot in Israel and Israel uncorks a new major military offensive as their "Final Solution to the Palestinian Question."

Obama - the height of stupidity and self-delusion,.

Listening to Obama's speech about Cuba I was stunned by the following statements:

After all, these 50 years have shown that isolation has not worked. It’s time for a new approach. (...) I do not believe we can keep doing the same thing for over five decades and expect a different result. Moreover, it does not serve America’s interests, or the Cuban people, to try to push Cuba toward collapse. Even if that worked -– and it hasn’t for 50 years –- we know from hard-earned experience that countries are more likely to enjoy lasting transformation if their people are not subjected to chaos.

You get that? Obama admits that 50 years of sanctions and attempts to isolate a small island right off the coast of Florida has not worked. And then he announces that he will impose more sanctions on Russia, the biggest country on the planet, and that he will isolate Russia, even though Russia now has full access to the biggest economy on the planet?!

Is that not the height of stupidity and self-delusion?

The Fracturing Energy Bubble Is the New Housing Crash

The global oil price collapse now unfolding is not putting a single dime into the pockets of American households—-the CNBC talking heads to the contrary notwithstanding. What is happening is the vast flood of mispriced debt and capital, which flowed into the energy sector owning to the Fed’s lunatic ZIRP and QE policies, is now rapidly deflating.

That will reduce bubble spending and investment, not add to economic growth. It’s the housing bust all over again.

Pollution Fears Crush Home Prices Near Fracking Wells

Properties with private wells suffered a loss in value compared to properties connected to a municipal water system, they found, offsetting gains in value from mineral-rights royalties. The loss varied with distance from the nearest shale-gas well. At 1.5 kilometers, properties with private wells sold for about 10 percent less.

...

Properties suffered greater losses when closer to shale-gas wells where hydraulic fracturing had been employed.

Within 1 km of shale gas wells, properties with private drinking water wells dropped 22 percent in value. Properties connected to public water suffered no losses, but also showed no net gains.

Israel Breaks Cease-Fire by Bombing Gaza

Israel’s airstrikes violate the cease-fire that followed the country’s “Protective Edge” military attacks on Gaza earlier this year.

Israeli warplanes launched two airstrikes in eastern Al-Qarara - Khanyounis city, teleSUR’s correspondent in Gaza Noor Harazeen reported.

She said the rocket fire, a “violation of the truce” following Israel’s Protective Edge bombing campaign earlier this year, “is one of the most serious attacks on Gaza.”

Other people in the area have reported that there are blackouts in part of Gaza, such as Khan Younis.

Over 700 sue NAM over fracking earthquakes

700 private homeowners and 12 Groningen housing corporations are taking the Netherlands Petroleum Company (Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij – NAM) to court.

Ohio families forced to flee out-of-control natural gas leak

It has been four days since about 25 families living in Eastern Ohio have been able to return to their homes after a fracking well started leaking natural gas. Oil and gas workers have been unable to control the leak that started on Saturday.

A spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Bethany McCorkle, said crews in Monroe County lost control of the well on Saturday. Evacuation of homes in a 3.0-mile radius of the well-site about, 160-miles east of Columbus, was ordered. People are allowed back in their homes during the day, but must not stay overnight.

Although the well is not on fire, there is a risk of explosion. “There’s still a steady stream of natural gas coming from the wellhead,” McCorkle said yesterday.

Germany To Try Auschwitz Guard Charged With 300,000 Counts Of Accessory To Murder

A German court says a 93-year-old man charged with 300,000 counts of accessory to murder for serving as an SS guard at the Nazis' Auschwitz death camp will go on trial early next year.

The Lueneburg state court said Tuesday its review of the prosecution's case against Oskar Groening determined there was enough evidence to proceed with the trial. The starting date has not been announced.

Groening has openly talked in interviews about his time as a guard and says he witnessed atrocities but didn't commit any crimes himself.

The Real Costs of Fracking

The first researchers to systematically document ill health in livestock, pets, and people living near fracking drill sites were Michelle Bamberger and Robert Oswald. Bamberger, a veterinarian, and Oswald, a professor of molecular medicine at Cornell University, used a case study approach–looking at individual households–to search for possible effects (Bamberger and Oswald 2012).

Many fracking chemicals are known carcinogens, endocrine disruptors or other classes of toxins (Colborn et al. 2011). Bamberger and Oswald’s studies, carried out during the ongoing fracking boom, uncovered serious adverse effects including respiratory, reproductive, and growth-related problems in animals and a spectrum of symptoms in humans that they termed “shale gas syndrome”. Ultimately, their research led them to consider fracking’s broader implications for farming and the food system (Bamberger and Oswald 2012 and 2014).

Fracking site in UK suffered possible “loss of wellbore integrity”

According to reports and information gained under the UK Freedom of Information Act it appears that one of Cuadrilla’s initial drilling sites in the UK suffered a previously unreported structural failure.

The damage has been described by engineers as a possible “loss of wellbore integrity”, this can result in a leaking of fluid or gases from shale extraction and cause possible environmental or public health hazards.

The allegations originate from emails between Cuadrilla and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) which suggest that the site at Preese Hall, Lancashire, suffered structural damage.

North Korea's Sony hack: 'Effectively an act of war' says Blodget

“Our government has been slow to respond given the magnitude of this,” says Yahoo Finance’s Henry Blodget. “If it was state-sponsored in any way, it was effectively an act of war on a U.S. asset. We have not defined that as an act of war but going forward we probably should.”

Now that North Korea has been identified as the responsible party, corporations can go back to wringing their hands over what the big picture is: This may be the beginning of a new wave of attacks. Attacks that could take out a company or in more severe cases, cripple the entire financial system or the broader economy.

Giordano's research group has categorized these weapons into four broad categories: drugs, bugs, toxins, and bytes. In an email to me, he described them like this:

Bugs: There are a number of microbiological agents ("bugs") — viruses and bacteria — that can induce a host of neurological diseases (such as encephalitis, meningitis), and effects (such as cognitive and motor manifestations).

Ending the Cold War on Cuba? From the Freezer to the Chiller

If Washington ended its economic aggression against Cuba and others then it might just be a signal of real change. Otherwise it’s just more of the same imperialist policy that is the bedrock of American power.

As US President Barack Obama announced his surprise «historic» bid to normalize relations with Cuba this week, the New York Times swooned with glowing news. ‘US to Restore Full Relations With Cuba, Erasing a Last Trace of Cold War Hostility’ was how its top headline put it. Welcoming the development, the American «newspaper of record» said Obama vowed to «cut loose the shackles of the past» and to «sweep aside one of the last vestiges of the Cold War».

But, purple prose aside, the hard detail is that the ongoing illegal American embargo on Cuba will stay in place. Moreover, the move comes as Washington slaps on more sanctions against Russia and unleashes new sanctions on Venezuela.

SPECIAL REPORT: Police Pre-Crime Algorithm Uses Social Media Posts Against You in Real-Time

And still, astoundingly, we have people saying "Well, I haven't done anything wrong, so I don't have anything to worry about."

We have finally reached the moment where Orwell's nightmare in 1984 meets the movie Minority Report. We're living there right now.

Did you know that any time a police officer pulls you over or responds to your 9-1-1 call, he or she is using a pre-crime algorithm which assigns you a color-coded threat score based not just on your criminal background but on everything including "flagged" purchases and all your social media posts which may include any comments that may be construed as "offensive?"

The officer will receive your color coding — red, yellow or green — before he or she ever even sees you based on factors you are not allowed to see or question. Report: FBI's Anthrax Investigation Was Flawed

The Government Accountability Office says the science the FBI used to investigate the 2001 anthrax attacks was flawed.

The GAO released a report Friday on its findings. The agency didn't take a position on the FBI's conclusion that Army biodefense researcher Bruce Ivins acted alone in making and sending the powdered spores that killed five people and sickened 17 others.

The report adds fuel to the debate among experts, including many of Ivins' co-workers at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland, over whether Ivins could have made and mailed the anthrax-filled envelopes.

The GAO said the FBI's research did not provide a full understanding of the methods and conditions that give rise to genetic mutations used to differentiate between samples of anthrax bacteria. The report calls this a "key scientific gap."

Torture and State Power

In his book ‘Discipline and Punish’ Michel Foucault placed the relation of physical torture to subsequent non-violent strategies of social coercion, ‘scientific’ social control like Jeremy Bentham’s ‘reformist’ prison and highly structured schooling. In Foucault’s telling sovereign / state torture developed as a mode of social suasion, as the relation of particular acts to state / sovereign prerogative. As expression of political power social coercion, including torture, defines the relation of sovereign to subjects, state to citizens, torturer to the tortured and controller to the controlled. ‘Official’ torture is one aspect of the physical expression of the state’s relation to those in its realm of control. This view relates police repression and mass incarceration in the U.S. to treatment of those tortured and murdered at U.S. direction overseas.

He is only half joking. If MSL's rover Curiosity finds carbon-based molecules in the Martian soil, Levin - who led the "labelled release" experiment on NASA's 1976 Viking mission - will demand that his refuted discovery of life on Mars is reinstated.

TorrentLocker Ransomware Spreading Fast: Report

A TorrentLocker infection, like other ransomware schemes (such as CryptoWall or CryptoLocker), usually takes place when a victim downloads a malicious file. Although the name TorrentLocker might suggest infections come through the way of torrents (a file typically used for file sharing), it does not; in fact, most TorrentLocker infections come through email.

ESET says the people behind TorrentLocker have become remarkably adept at devising spam emails that grab and hold a target's attention; this includes emails about unpaid invoices, traffic violations, and mailed packages with tracking numbers. In most cases, the emails are tailored to a target's home country, making them even more believable.

Secret WTO Trade Deal Threatens Internet Freedom, New Leak Reveals

Global governments are secretly negotiating a little-known mega trade deal that poses a threat to internet freedoms and boon to corporate interests, analysts warned Wednesday, citing a just-leaked U.S. proposal.

The Trade in Services Agreement (TISA), under discussion between a 50-country subset of World Trade Organization members for nearly two years, is so secretive that its talks aren't even announced to the public, making it even more shadowy than the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Kept in the dark about the deal, the global public will be hugely impacted by its provisions.

On 16 December 2014, the Supreme Court of Israel rejected a petition submitted by human rights organizations against Israel’s policy of preventing residents of Gaza who have submitted compensation lawsuits for damages against the Israeli military, and their witnesses, from entering Israel to attend their own court hearings.

Adalah filed the petition in 2012 in cooperation with the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, and Physicians for Human Rights – Israel on behalf of four individuals from Gaza who filed tort lawsuits against the Israeli military for killings, injuries and extensive property damages and whose requests for permission to enter Israel to pursue their cases were repeatedly denied.

Hillsborough officer bullied into signing doctored statement, inquest hears

A senior South Yorkshire police officer bullied a constable to sign a doctored statement about the Hillsborough disaster, the new inquest into the deaths of 96 people at the football ground has heard.

PC Michael Walpole told the inquest that he feared his job would be made “a misery” if he did not sign the amended statement, in which several of his original comments had been deleted, because he had seen other officers hounded out of the police in similar circumstances.

Walpole said that at the time he believed it was “out of order” for his statement to have been doctored, and he initially refused to sign it. He was then required to go to South Yorkshire police headquarters at Snig Hill in Sheffield to meet a chief inspector, Alan Foster, with two other constables, Peter Smith and Maxwell Groome, who were also refusing to sign their changed statements.

Innocent Man Raided, Tased, Beaten, & Shot By a Corrupt SWAT Team who Lied to Get the Raid

A completely innocent man was shot, tasered, brutally beaten, and had stun grenades thrown at him by vicious and incompetent SWAT officers. Then, those same officers tried to cover up their mistake by charging the victim, Chad Chadwick, with six criminal offenses including felony assault on a police officer.

This incident happened in 2011, but it has taken Chadwick three years and his entire life savings, to finally beat the charges that he was falsely accused of. Last month, a jury found Chad Chadwick not guilty of interfering with police. With tears in their eyes members of the jury offered the exonerated defendant comforting hugs, according to My Fox Houston.

“They tried to make me a convict. It broke me financially, bankrupted me. I used my life savings, not to mention, I lost my kids,” said Chadwick.

Actor Randy Quaid Claims Government Starwhackers Target Celebrities

Actor Randy Quaid and his wife, Evgenia, are suing John Kerry and the State Department to recover passports that the government revoked three years ago.

The State Department said it takes U.S. passports for reasons including issuance of a felony arrest warrant, fraud, failure to pay child support or a criminal court order barring departure from the country.

Randy Quaid said the revocation involved an issue over “an insurance policy that we did not take out,” but declined to discuss it further.

“We can’t go anywhere,” Quaid said.

“Randy can’t take a film job,” said Evgenia Quaid. “He had to turn down the Cannes Film Festival last year. We can’t proceed with our life.”

Sony Hack: What They're Not Telling You

Webmaster's Commentary:

The evidence indicates the SONY hack was done by disgruntled ex-employees of SONY itself. Yet the White House has hastily put together a frame-up of North Korea, and unlike the Benghazi attack, the movie that is supposed to be the root cause of it all actually does exist.

So what is going on?

One possibility is that SONY will reverse its decision (under covert pressure from the White House) and go ahead with the Christmas Day release of "The Interview." This will be followed by multiple bombings of movie theaters across America. Just like 9-11, this will be "justification" for war against the "attacker", which we are being assured is North Korea. War with North Korea opens the door to war with China and through China, Russia, all to protect the paper dollar from the Ruble and the Yuan. Millions will die and the world will go back to being enslaved to the private central bankers for another hundred years.

FDA approved Gardasil 9: Malfeasance or Stupidity?

by Norma Erickson

Malfeasance is when a public official violates the public trust by performing an act that is wrongful, legally unjustified, or contrary to law. Nonfeasance is the failure to act where there is a duty to act. Misfeasance is conduct that is lawful but inappropriate. Perhaps, when it comes to the recent approval of Gardasil 9 all of these apply.

10 December 2014: The FDA approved the use of a reportedly ’new and improved’ version of Gardasil, which will be marketed as Gardasil 9. According to the FDA approval letter, this action was taken without consultation with VRBPAC (the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee) which is responsible for reviewing and evaluating data concerning the safety, effectiveness, and appropriate use of vaccines and related biological products...

A New Resistance film to expose dangers of Roundup in food, water and all around us

It has been in constant and increasing use for more than 50 years. But glyphosate, the main ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup herbicide, isn't at all safe for humans. And a new film project known as A New Resistance seeks to make this fact known on a wide scale, warning the public that this deadly chemical is now present in water, soil, air and food, and is slowly killing us all.

Since 1974, conventional farmers have been dousing their crops with what they were told is a completely safe, broad-spectrum weedkiller. This weedkiller has since become the number one selling herbicide in the world, but a growing body of independent science now shows that it is destroying human health, promoting obesity, infertility, cancer, irritable bowel syndrome, autism and dementia.

"In the most significant changes in our policy in more than fifty years, we will end an outdated approach that, for decades, has failed to advance our interests, and instead we will begin to normalize relations between our two countries," Obama said in a live televised speech from the White House.

The problem with the policy is that it "failed to advance our interests," according to Obama. When he speaks of "our interests", he is of course referring to corporate business interests, not the public interest. Deciding an economy should belong to the population rather than unaccountable private interests is an affront to businesses that believe they have a right to operate in foreign markets and control local resources.

Speculation upon the Cause of Israel did 911 Denial.

I’ve taken a long and circuitous route to get to where I wanted to get in this posting. All that has preceded it sets the stage for the wide angle mindset of the masses. 9/11 was an Inside Job that was done by Israel, in tandem with domestic and foreign intelligence agencies. The proof of this, should you care to look, is overwhelmingly conclusive from the circumstantial, independent of all the hard core evidence. If you are at all curious, you can find more than you will have time to study and all of it, which is the fruit of legitimate, non agenda driven inquiry, points to the same players. So what is the why of people’s indifference to this shocking picture of murderous treachery, on the part of a supposed good friend and ally, and the willful and conscious treason of individuals sworn to protect their country? Even before this we have the U.S. Liberty, which Israel bombed in a desire to fuel a wider war.
