Suspected Hamas militants rounded up chain gang-style by Israeli soldiers during Gaza offensive

Chained together in two lines, they raise their hands to their heads under the watchful eyes of armed soldiers.

These photos show suspected Hamas militants who have been rounded up chain-gang style by Israeli soldiers during the Israel-Gaza conflict.

The alleged rebels were captured after the Army entered the Gaza strip in a bid to put an end to deadly Hamas rocket attacks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And with these photos, Israel is now in violation of Article 13 of the Third Geneva Convention, which prohibits use and distribution of images of PoWs and calls for their protection against "insults and public curiosity".

The Catastrophe of #MH17: #BBC in the Search of the “#BUK” – The Video Report Deleted by @BBC

The original BBC Video Report was published by BBC Russian Service on July 23, 2014. Why did BBC delete this report by Olga Ivshina? Is it because the BBC team was unable to find any evidence that a rocket was launched in the area that the Ukrainian Security Service (“SBU”) alleges to be the place from which the Novorossiya Militia launched a “BUK” missile?

Or is it because every eyewitness interviewed by the BBC team specifically indicated the presence of Ukrainian military aircraft right beside the Malaysian Airlines Boeing MH17 at the time that it was shot down?

Or is it because of eyewitness accounts (like the one posted following the transcript of the BBC report) confirming that the Ukrainian air force regularly used civilian aircraft flying over Novorossiya as human shields to protect its military aircraft conducting strikes against civilian population from the Militia’s anti-aircraft units?

US ‘News’ lying sack of spin warmonger: ‘It’s in the Hamas charter they want to kill all Jews’

*hyperlinks/video live at source*

2-minute interview

FOX News (sic) interviewed Anna Baltzer, an ongoing hero to expose Israeli apartheid and now genocide upon Palestinians. This is the type of “coverage” Americans receive from corporate media, and why every other nation but America have negative polling data of Israel’s government.

I’m sure how Ms. Kelly communicates in this excerpt is typical:

Megyn Kelly: “How is Israel supposed to fight back against an organization whose entire mission is the destruction of Israel? I mean it’s in the Hamas Charter that they want to kill all Jews.”

Hanabusa Votes to Limit Troops Deployments to Iraq - July 25, 2014

I am proud that the U.S. House of Representatives has again supported my position that we need to limit the way our nation approaches the situation in Iraq. It is our duty to preserve the role of Congress in determining America’s defense efforts and ensure that we act responsibly and with due concern for the men and women who have volunteered to defend our nation. Today’s vote, 370-40, together with the Hanabusa amendment, indicates a clear objection to the nearly 1,000 troops and combat assets that have been deployed in the region. I urge the Senate to take immediate action on both these measures.

MH17 Verdict: Real Evidence Points to US-Kiev Cover-up of Failed False Flag

Until this past Monday, the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 on July 17th, 2014, was a potential game changer for global geopolitics and the New Cold War. However, a funny thing happened on the way to the Kremlin…

In this report, we will lay out the facts based on a wide breadth of available information and data surrounding MH17. We will also present and give critique to Washington and Kiev’s “mountain of evidence” that has saturated US and European-based media coverage since the incident took place. 21WIRE has compiled this report with the help of many contributors and references from English-speaking media, as well as material translated from Russian and Ukrainian media sources, along with other historical references to provide context. Our objective is to get as close to the truth as possible. Although many revelations will appear to be self-evident, we still encourage the public to draw their own conclusions regarding this pivotal event.

Moody's: Troubled Michigan cities may follow Detroit Chapter 9 plan

Moody’s Investors Service says a successful resolution of Detroit’s Chapter 9 bankruptcy restructuring may prompt other financially troubled Michigan cities to follow suit.

The $7 billion debt reduction plan “could serve as an example other distressed local governments in Michigan might follow,” the rating agency said in a statement Friday. Particularly important to the plan, it said, was a March 2013 settlement between three insurers of general obligation unlimited tax bonds and the city that conferred a secured status on those bonds.

“The final outcome of this bankruptcy will likely have broader implications for future bankruptcy cases involving distressed local governments in Michigan, potentially setting an important benchmark for the relative position of debt versus pensions,” Moody’s vice president, Genevieve Nolan, said in a statement.

A rash of anti-Almond Milk articles flushes the liberal blog-o-sphere. Why?

It was only one month ago that the first anti-almond milk article appeared in U.S. News and World report which sparked the 'debate' online. The article received thousands of shares and swept across the internet at alarming speed.

So would it strike you as interesting if I told you that this 'source' article was written by Dietician Tamara Duker Freuman and that some deeper research into Ms. Freuman shows that she just so happens to be a paid 'Media spokesman' and consultant [PDF] with the Dairy industry? Or perhaps, when all the highly-subsidized overabundance of milk in U.S. public schools was being criticized, it was the same Ms. Freuman who not only came to Dairy's defense but actually advocated sugar-laden chocolate milk as a 'good thing' in schools?

MORE WAR BEX - Putin ups stakes in Ukraine, to ship more sophisticated weaponry to separatists

The Pentagon says it has intelligence indicating Russia is poised to deliver sophisticated multiple-launch rocket systems to its Ukraine-based supporters — a transaction that could happen Friday.

Pentagon spokesman Army Col. Steve Warren said Friday that Russia has so far delivered to Ukraine tanks, artillery and rocket systems.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Along with some of Saddam's nuclear weapons!"

Note that this article does not say Russia has sent any such weapons, only that the Pentagon claims they know Russia will.

But look at this from Russia's point of view. Any overt military move by them opens the door t the war the US wants to protect the weakening US dollar's role as the global banking and trade currency against the rising Ruble (and the Rising Yuan, which is why war with China is being planned as well).

The Junta in Kiev has collapsed. Poroshenko is out of money to supply his troops, let alone pay them. Putin knows that the only way Poroshenko can save himself and the Junta is to get the US directly involved, which is why Putin won;t make a move (and why we are seeing this flood of easily discredited propaganda screaming "The Russians are coming" all over the corporate media).

All Putin has to do is sit and do nothing and the Kiev Junta will crumble.

Mossad Mercenaries Believed Responsible for Ukraine Massacre

In mid-June, a battle raged for the port city of Mariupol, Ukraine. A new militia force launched an offensive against about 250 Russian militiamen loyal to the Donetsk People’s Republic, which had seized the city from the Ukrainian government. The battle focused on a police station held by the separatists in which both armed militants and unarmed civilians had gathered to demand reunion with Russia. The conflict ended cruelly, as the station was burned to the ground with scores of women and children inside. Those fleeing the inferno were machine-gunned.

The massacre was the work of the Dnipro Battalion, a new force of mostly foreign mercenaries drawn from Zionist-backed terrorists around the world and financed by Ihor Valeriyovych Kolomoyskyi, a Jewish billionaire and banker.

Net Neutrality and the Global Digital Divide

EFF's position on net neutrality simply calls for all data that travels over the Internet to be treated equally. This means that we oppose ISPs blocking content based on its source or destination, or discriminating against certain applications (such as BitTorrent), or imposing special access fees that would make it harder for small websites to reach their users. We havecalled for the FCC to assume firm legal authority to protect the neutrality of the net from these sorts of abuses, while explicitly forbearing from going any further to regulate the Internet.

• Illegal alien diseases are a ticking time bomb.

But now, a deadly threat has been heaped onto those injuries. Although legal immigrants to this country receive a thorough health screening, and are refused entry if they have communicable diseases, that is not true with regard to the hordes of illegal aliens crossing the U.S. borders at a rate of thousands each day. And these invaders bring with them a host of horrific illnesses and parasites, which threaten the health and lives of American citizens, as well as U.S. national security.

Christian Evangelicals Turning Backs on Israel

• Blind support for genocidal policies of Zionist state no longer a prerequisite for salvation.

Zionists are worried.

For decades, conservative evangelical Christians have been among the most fervent backers of the terroristic, rogue nuclear, apartheid Zionist occupation government in the Holy Land, known as Israel. They typically also have failed, knowingly or not, to acknowledge even basic human rights for the oppressed native Palestinians—Muslim and Christian—who face racial extinction at the hands of the region’s Jewish overlords. But that seemingly impregnable mountain of support has started to erode. A growing minority of ministers and younger believers have begun to challenge the established doctrine and practice, asserting that Zionism is contrary to God’s teaching in the Bible, and that continued persecution of Palestinians is a gross violation of fundamental morality.

Dead Is Dead: Drone-Killing the Fifth Amendment

You can't get more serious about protecting the people from their government than the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution, specifically in its most critical clause: "No person shall be... deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law." In 2011, the White House ordered the drone-killing of American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki without trial. It claimed this was a legal act it is prepared to repeat as necessary. Given the Fifth Amendment, how exactly was this justified? Thanks to a much contested, recently released but significantly redacted -- about one-third of the text is missing -- Justice Department white paper providing the basis for that extrajudicial killing, we finally know: the president in Post-Constitutional America is now officially judge, jury, and executioner.

Monsanto is Messing With Animals’ Sperm

Animals exposed to the commonly-used pesticide Roundup are more likely to have an impaired sperm structure, suggests new research from the University of Caen, France.

The scientists investigated the effects of Roundup after an eight day exposure in adult animals. They found a significant difference in the expression of a compound called aromatase in the testis of animals. Aromatase is an enzyme involved in a key step in the synthesis of estrogens in the body. They also found a reduced expression of genetic material in sperm, and a change in hormonal balance (male hormone to estrogen balance) and the resulting quality of sperm. The scientists concluded that “The repetition of exposures of this herbicide could alter the mammalian reproduction.”

Operation Security Bottom

But the Palestinians were naïve if they, even for one second, believed that the Jewish Genius was going to be intimidated by this new form of Islamo-Tunnelism. The Israeli defense ministry was quick to gather some ideas. Earlier this week it presented the cabinet with a few operative solutions.

BEX ALERT - Shelling Ukraine with GRAD from Russia! Village Gukovo, Rostov Oblast.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Boy, the warhawks are not going to quit. Here we have a video with an added voice over which the corporate media is claiming proves Russia is firing into Ukraine with rockets. But of course the video itself does not show who is launching the rockets or where they are located, but it DOES show the direction the video was taken from looking at the gradient in the sky, which clearly shows the video is looking southwest at the launcher, which means the rockets are flying to the EAST! The GRAD is an unguided missile, fired in volleys over a wide area, similar to the American MLRS. Ukraine has been importing the GRAD from Russia (like the BUK) which means even if this was confirmed as a GRAD launcher, that does not mean that it is not KIEV using it. After all, with a maximum range of 35 Kilometers, GRAD's fired from Russia can only reach into the independent Republics, and why would Putin do that?

"Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman told reporters in Kiev that two of its Sukhoi SU-25 fighter jets were shot down while flying at 5,200 meters (17,000 feet) over the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine. The pilots ejected, and their whereabouts are unknown."

"At 17,000 feet, the planes would have been outside the range of the shoulder-fired missiles that the rebels contend are their only air-defense weapons. The planes would, however, be in range of a surface-to-air missile such as the Buk, which is suspected to have been used to shoot down Malaysian Airlines flight MH-17 on July 17."

Bloomberg's "three dangerous explanations" are patently false...

‘SHOOTING’ AGAINST THE OCCUPATION

Anti-war demonstrations during wartime are not unusual in Israel. They rarely bring out more than a few hundred people, as did this one. It was an event that most Israeli news outlets deemed not important enough to cover, especially when Hamas’s rockets were flying all over the country. But Oren Ziv was there with his camera.

PHOTOS ~~ THOUSANDS PARICIPATE IN COALITION MARCH FOR PEACE IN NEW YORK

The demonstration and march, organized by a coalition of groups supporting justice in Palestine, began at Foley Sq. where the names of children murdered in Gaza were read. Some in the crowd of approximately 2,000 were weeping. Led by the Rude Mechanical Orchestra the mile and 1/2 march weaving west through the busy streets of lower Manhattan to the shore of the Hudson began. It was a noisy chanting group carrying Palestinian flags and signs demanding an end to the U.S. funding of Israel, an end to the occupation, and a cease to the slaughter by Israel in Gaza.

Israel Sabotages Ceasefire

Golani is the best infantry brigade of the IDF. It was defeated by a Hamas regional battalion in the Battle of Shuja'iyya. I reviewed the battle in Hamas Battalion Held Ground against IDF Golani Brigade.

Golani was removed and replaced by reserve forces (Israel Transforms Tunnels into Gas Chambers).

The commander of the unit was wounded (Wounded Druze Colonel Runs to Gaza), three officers were killed, another ten soldiers were wounded.

Information on details of military operations is slow to reach civilian media. Today it was disclosed that Hamas also hit two battalion commanders, Shai Siman-Tov of Golani Battalion 12 and the commander of Golani Egoz; the name of the latter is classified.+.

In other words, with a much smaller force, Hamas wiped the command of an elite brigade of the IDF, forcing it to leave the battlefield. Israel took offence.

We are Israeli reservists. We refuse to serve.

Whenever the Israeli army drafts the reserves — which are made up of ex-soldiers — there are dissenters, resisters, and AWOLers among the troops called to war. Now that Israel has sent troops to Gaza again and reserves are being summoned to service, dozens are refusing to take part.

We are more than 50 Israelis who were once soldiers and now declare our refusal to be part of the reserves. We oppose the Israeli Army and the conscription law. Partly, that’s because we revile the current military operation. But most of the signers below are women and would not have fought in combat. For us, the army is flawed for reasons far broader than “Operation Protective Edge,” or even the occupation. We rue the militarization of Israel and the army’s discriminatory policies.

But the very mention of them was enough to constitute a form of blackmail,” Halper wrote, adding that “according to information provided by a CIA source, a stricken Clinton appeared to buckle.”

The Palestinians’ Right to Self-Defense

If Israel insists, as the Bosnian Serbs did in Sarajevo, on using the weapons of industrial warfare against a helpless civilian population then that population has an inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. The international community will have to either act to immediately halt Israeli attacks and lift the blockade of Gaza or acknowledge the right of the Palestinians to use weapons to defend themselves.

No nation, including any in the Muslim world, appears willing to intervene to protect the Palestinians. No world body, including the United Nations, appears willing or able to pressure Israel through sanctions to conform to the norms of international law. And the longer we in the world community fail to act, the worse the spiral of violence will become.

Amnesty International: Israel Remains the Occupying Power in Gaza and is Thus Bound By the Law Of Occupation

Amnesty International notes today:

Israel maintains sole control of Gaza’s air space and territorial waters, and continues to prohibit any movement of people or goods in or out of Gaza via air or sea. Israel directly controls all but one of Gaza’s land border crossings, and continues to close three out of the four crossings for commercial goods, restrict the volume of key imports, and ban most exports, all of which have a serious impact on humanitarian and socioeconomic conditions in Gaza. Israel continues to control the Palestinian population registry, which covers residents of both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, so any change in these records and all Palestinian Authority identity documents (including ID cards and passports) require Israeli approval. An Israeli-approved ID card or passport is required for any Palestinian to leave Gaza, including through the Rafah crossing. And the Gaza Strip continues to depend on Israel for the majority of its electricity supply.

In the latest revelation of unconstitutional spying on US citizens by the National Security Agency (NSA), former State Department employee John Napier Tye published his account of ongoing violations of privacy under cover of a legal fig leaf known as Executive Order 12333.

Last week the Washington Post published Tye’s lengthy criticism of the Obama administration under the title “Meet Executive Order 12333: The Reagan rule that lets the NSA spy on Americans.” The editorial underscores both the immense scope of illegal spying by an unaccountable military-intelligence apparatus and the sham character of the official “reform.”

La Raza President: 'Un-American' to Protest Illegal Immigration

Murguia also said that there is "nothing more un-American than deliberately frightening" illegal immigrant children. She called Republican elected officials like Texas Governor Rick Perry "reprehensible" for sending the National Guard to the border and being concerned about crime and diseases that illegal immigrants are bringing with them across the border.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Nations have borders for the same reason houses have doors, to decide who comes in and who does not. No nation on earth has an open border where people can come and go as they please. If you demand fairness, let the US have the same immigration policies as Mexico does.

There is a legal path anyone can follow to become a US citizen and for those who follow that path, welcome and I hope the US lives up to your expectations. (But I doubt it will.)

But for the illegal immigrants, I want to focus on that first word, "illegal." These people are criminals simply for stepping across the border without permission from the legal citizens of this country.

Back in the heyday of "Give us your tired, your poor, your teeming masses yearning to breath free" medical checks were required, and those who were carrying dangerous illnesses were either quarantined until they got better, or sent home if their condition was incurable, to protect the health of the American people. This strikes me as sensible.

The surge of illegals coming across the border are confirmed to be carrying infectious tuberculosis, HIV, H1N1, Bubonic Plague, among other contagious illnesses. This is not hysteria, it is a documented fact. Legal Americans are being placed at risk of their health by Obama's immigration "policy."

The World Heath Organization is warning that the Ebola outbreak in West Africa will escape that continent, and news stories in Italy and Spain suggest this may have already happened. We may presume that some West Africans traveled to Brazil for the recent World Cup. This particular strain of Ebola has an incubation period of up to 21 days during which the patient is infectious, although unaware they are ill. So, our hypothetical infected soccer fan gives the infection to another soccer fan who flew in from Nicaragua, or Honduras, or Mexico, who then fly back and pass it to someone who is on their way north to the Mexican border. This is not improbable. Given enough time, it is inevitable.

This current strain of Ebola has a lethality rate of 56%. There is no cure. There is no vaccine. And until that border with Mexico is sealed shut, there is no way to prevent it from eventually reaching the United States.

If a foreign government intentionally sent thousands of people carrying infectious diseases into the United States, we would call it an act of biological warfare, or at least a bio-terror attack. What do we call it when the President of the United States does it?

Now to the economic dimensions. Again, back in the heyday of "Give us your tired, your poor, your teeming masses yearning to breath free", America was industrializing and turning the west into a vast agricultural resource. America needed new workers, and welcomed them in. Today is different. There are 90 million Americans willing and able to work, but unable to find jobs according to the US Bureau of labor statistics. That means there are also no jobs for the illegals. Across the west, which is after all a desert, we hear reports of water shortages which will only be made worse by a sudden surge in population being sent in by bus and plane.

I understand politicians pushing an agenda, whether it is to secure Obama's legacy for immigration reform, to craft a permanent democratic voting bloc, or to further depress wages with a glut of cheap workers, but we need to step back and widen our gaze to what is best for the nation as a whole.

Back when Eisenhower was President, he shut the border with Mexico down with only 10% of the border patrol agents now working for ICE. So, we know it can be done if the President wants it. Hence, the current open border situation is an intentional result of White House policy, and one can only wonder why.

The Palestinian territory of Gaza is the scene of war crimes committed by the state of Israel that defy words. The IDF shelled it regardless—the fourth time in a week that UN shelters have been targeted.

Illegal alien rapes 12-year-old girl in North Carolina

The accused was hired to mow the family's lawn, but instead, reportedly forced his way inside the house and sexually assaulted the girl, once he discovered that her parents were not at the residence.

On June 22, 2012, Marquez knocked on the door and told the victim that he wanted to cut the grass a day earlier than planned. The girl then called her mom and handed the phone to the illegal alien, according to court documents.

Marquez then began cutting the grass, until it started to rain. He knocked on the door and asked if he could come inside, and though the girl told him no, he pushed his way into the kitchen.

Antipsychotic drugs shrink the brain and may accelerate psychosis for schizophrenics, study finds

As humans age, brain cells lose some of their volume and the brain shrinks slowly, subtly over time. Brain cells and their connections are scaled back especially when they are not used. This process of atrophy usually begins after age 30 and continues each year. According to a new study spearheaded by the University of Oulu and the University of Cambridge in Finland, the average speed of brain atrophy of healthy individuals is 0.5 percent per year.

The team of researchers also discovered a striking difference between healthy participants taking NO mind-altering drugs and schizophrenia patients taking antipsychotic drugs.

Over a nine-year follow-up period, the researchers found that antipsychotic medications speed up brain atrophy, accelerating the degeneration of brain cells. In fact, antipsychotic medications were associated with a 40 percent increase in brain atrophy per year.

Flashback: Now taxman wants to trawl a YEAR of your bank statements under powers to raid bank accounts for unpaid tax

Intrusive new powers to spy on the last 12 months of everybody’s bank statements are being demanded by the taxman.

MEGA PUKE LEVEL 9 BEX ALERT - Israel's Deadly Invasion of Gaza Is Morally Justified

For Israel, the first question seems easier to answer. Few would deny that, in principle, Israel’s war with Hamas is both just and necessary. Israel acts on the most clear justification possible: self-defense after days of restraint, warnings, and pleas—as rockets continued to land on its cities and later, as militants sprang from tunnels to kill its citizens. Ceasefires have been offered, but Hamas has rejected them. And whatever criticisms one may have of Israel’s failures to midwife an effective and peaceful alternative to Hamas (and I have many), these do not undermine the fundamental justice of this self-defense.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Let's review the timetable.

Last month, three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped and killed in an IDF-controlled region of the West Bank, not Gaza. ISIS has taken credit and even the Israeli media admits that the two suspects named by the Israeli government are not part of HAMAS, but of a group known for disobeying HAMAS and trying to cause trouble for them.

But Netanyahu declares HAMAS, the legally elected government of Gaza, responsible and launches bombing raids into Gaza using the very latest high-tech weapons provided by the US Government and paid for by the US taxpayers.

To put Israel's actions into perspective, let us recall that over the July 4th weekend, 8 people were killed in Chicago. Using Netanyahu's logic, the Democratic party should be blamed and all of Illinois bombed and invaded!

The Palestinians, who have been attacked without provocation, fight back with their home-made rockets, which so far have mostly knocked a few roof tiles loose.

But to Israel's supporters, we should all forget that Israel attacked Gaza without a valid reason, and view Palestine's attempts to defend themselves as the crime, so that Israel can go on pounding the Palestinians with their superior weapons.

I want to point something out. The Israelis sit in their tanks, or the drone operations centers, or fly high above Gaza in their US-supplied warplanes, dropping the latest in US-supplied high tech lethal munitions, and imagine themselves the heroes they read about in the Torah. The Israelis, clearly unafraid of HAMAS rockets, line the hills overlooking Gaza and cheer the carnage, much as the Romans at the Colosseum cheered as the Christians were thrown to the lions. The Palestinians huddle in their giant open-air prison, without an army, a navy, or an air force, and fight back with home-made rockets made out of plumbing supplies.

Not since Thermopylae has the world seen such courage in the face of overwhelming odds. The Palestinians have balls the US and Israel can only dream of, and the world will remember their courage against the tyrants, and the lies by the corporate media's presstitutes and whorespondents trying to protect Israel's aggression!

VIRTUAL 9-11: Will the US & Israel Hack The US Banking System Computers and Falsely Blame It On Iran (or Syria or Russia or China)?

89 yo "Nazi war crime suspect" dies in US custody before extradition to Germany

An 89-year-old Nazi war crimes suspect and American citizen died in custody just hours before a US court gave the go ahead for his extradition to Germany.

Johann Breyer died on Tuesday night at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he had been transferred on Saturday after spending a month behind bars.

“I can confirm he passed away last night," his lawyer Dennis Boyle told AFP on Wednesday.

Breyer's death was disclosed just as US Magistrate Timothy Rice had approved the extradition request, which would have still needed approval by a US government review.

Rice found probable cause that Breyer was in fact the same individual being sought by German prosecutors in the Bavarian town of Weiden over his alleged service as an SS concentration camp guard first at Buchenwald, and later at Auschwitz.

The images confirm it may be not one but two objects joined together; a smaller "head" connected to a larger "body".

Rosetta will arrive at the comet in August.

New broadband users shun UK porn filters, Ofcom finds

In July 2013, Prime Minister David Cameron announced the major UK internet service providers (ISPs) had agreed to offer "unavoidable choice" parental control filters, which block legal pornography and other adult subjects "by default".

New subscribers are offered the filter at the point of sign-up, and must actively choose to disable the parental control service.

However, the Ofcom report found users had overwhelmingly opted-out of the filter.

Of the four main ISPs, all of whom now offer a filter at the point of sign-up, TalkTalk was the only company to persuade more than 10% of people to subscribe.

Washington is Complicit in Israel’s Crimes

While viewing the massacre of Gazans, you may wonder why 1.8 million Arabs are crowded on that tiny strip of seashore and are being bombed day and night into death and ruins by Israel’s powerful military machine. A glimpse of history is timely.

Wikipedia blocks 'disruptive' page edits from US Congress

Wikipedia administrators have imposed a ban on page edits from computers at the US House of Representatives, following "persistent disruptive editing".

The 10-day block comes after anonymous changes were made to entries on politicians and businesses, as well as events like the Kennedy assassination.

The biography of former US defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld was edited to say that he was an "alien lizard".

One staffer said they were being banned for the "actions of two or three".

Edits from computers using the IP address belonging to the House of Representatives have been banned before, following similar acts of vandalism.

The Future is Smaller– That’s the Only Way This Works

It’s large governments that maintain police states, that spy on their citizens, and commandeer nearly every personal choice imaginable with regulatory agencies that tell us how to educate our children and what we can/cannot put in our own bodies.

As Kohr theorized, bigness often leads to tyranny.

If you look at the more financially successful nations today, i.e. those with solvent governments who do not indebt future generations to drop bombs by remote control drones, they’re nearly all small.

Hong Kong has some of the lowest tax rates in the world. And yet the local government is awash with so much cash that they frequently send tax refunds back to local residents.

Singapore is in a similar position; the city-state has zero net debt, a strong defense force, incredibly low tax rates… yet they still manage to funnel excess tax revenues back into the economy, often as tax breaks or business incentives.

The future is smaller- that’s the only way this works.

Group Given Nearly $300 Million To House Child Immigrants; Improperly Disclosed Lobbying

A Texas-based organization that has been awarded hundreds of millions of dollars in federal contracts by the Obama administration to house illegal immigrant children not only lobbied the federal government, but also failed to properly disclose the activity.

After The Daily Caller inquired about its lobbying disclosures, BCFS, a San Antonio-based nonprofit, now says it may correct its tax forms to properly disclose its lobbying expenditures.

The Obama administration, through the Department of Health and Human Services, has tapped BCFS, formerly known as Baptist Child & Family Services, to provide security and other services to unaccompanied children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, and Ft. Sill army base near Lawton, Okla.

Orwell Would Be Proud: US Media Admits Divine Right To Decide What Public Needs To Know

The government really needs to get its message out to the American people, and it knows that the best way to do that is by using the American news media, said Shanker. The relationship between the government and the media is like a marriage; it is a dysfunctional marriage to be sure, but we stay together for the kids.

Debunking the "The Saudis did 9-11" nonsense!

And finally, here is some common sense that totally undermines the attempt to frame Saudi Arabia for 9-11. If Saudi Arabia really wanted to hurt the United States, they don't need to fly airplanes into skyscrapers to do it. All they have to do is ask for their money back, all at once. The resulting damage to the US financial system would make 9-11 look like a minor inconvenience in comparison.

And it would be perfectly legal for Saudi Arabia to ask for their money back.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am reposting this article because three pro-Israel congressmen are claiming that there is a secret 9-11 document that they are demanding to be made public. This is actually a repeat of the same stunt they tried 2 years ago in which they tease the public with the story of a secret 9-11 document and try to get everyone to demand to see it. The document frames Saudi Arabia for 9-11, to protect Israel.

But as this article lays out, Saudi Arabia didn't have a motive to do 9-11, and if they wanted to hurt the US, they would not need airplanes into skyscrapers to do it.

Washington Is Escalating the Orchestrated Ukrainian “Crisis” to War

Despite the conclusion by US intelligence that there is no evidence of Russian involvement in the destruction of the Malaysian airliner and all lives onboard, Washington is escalating the crisis and shepherding it toward war.

Twenty-two US senators have introduced into the 113th Congress, Second Session, a bill, S.2277, “To prevent further Russian aggression toward Ukraine and other sovereign states in Europe and Eurasia, and for other purposes.” https://beta.congress.gov/113/bills/s2277/BILLS-113s2277is.pdf The bill is before the Committee on Foreign Relations.

Note that prior to any evidence of any Russian aggression, there are already 22 senators lined up in behalf of preventing further Russian aggression.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If they pass that bill, let's grab every congresscritter who voted for it, toss them on a plane, and fly them to Moscow ... one-way.

Obama: ‘It’s Pretty Hard To Find An Economic Measure Where We’re Not Significantly Better Off’

“What can you tell average Americans about the outlook of the economy?” Liesman asked, noting that even Obama’s own former economic advisor Larry Summers is forecasting lower growth over the next few years.

European Central Bank hacked, personal data stolen

Hackers have stolen personal information from the European Central Bank (ECB) in what seems to be a blackmail scheme. The stolen data includes email addresses and contact information taken from the organization's database.

“There had been a breach of the security protecting a database serving its public website,” ECB said in astatement on Thursday. “This led to the theft of email addresses and other contact data left by people registering for events at the ECB.”

Around 20,000 email addresses were stolen, according to media reports.

The hacked database serves the public website and gathers registrations for conferences and other visits. It is “physically separate from any internal ECB systems.”

Debt Rattle Jul 24 2014: Ukraine: What To Do When Growth Is Gone

“The fact that the coalition has fallen apart, that laws haven’t been voted on, that soldiers can’t be paid, that there is no money to buy rifles, that there is no possibility to fill gas storages. What options do we have now?” This is, as per Bloomberg, what US handpicked handpuppet and – now former – Ukraine PM Yatsenyuk told the Kiev parliament earlier today during a speech in which he announced the resignation of his “government”. Several of his coalition partners, including right wing Svoboda, had left the government not long before.

This raises a ton of poignant questions. The first one that came to my mind was: “in whose name are the women and children of Lugansk and Donetsk going to be killed now”? It can’t be in the Kiev government’s name anymore.

A veteran city worker stole more than $500,000 over three years by diverting welfare checks meant to cover the rent of homeless clients to his pals posing as landlords, investigators said.

One of the bogus landlords, Carlos Felix, helped Heras steal more than $100,000, the DOI said.

Obama’s Dumbest Move to Date… Seizing a Foreign Bank

Ten dark suited men entered the premises of FBME bank in Cyprus on Friday afternoon and took it hostage.

The men were from the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC). And they commandeered FBME because an obscure agency within the US government recently issued a report accusing the bank of laundering money.

It just so happens that FBME… and Cyprus in general… is where a lot of wealthy Russians hold their vast fortunes.

Bear in mind, there has been no proof that any crime was committed.

There was no court hearing. No charges were read. It wasn’t even the government of Cyprus who accused them of anything.

When HSBC got caught red-handed laundering funds for a Mexican drug cartel last year, the US government gave them a slap on the wrist. HSBC got off with a fine.

Yet when the US government merely makes an accusation that FBME could be laundering money, the bank gets taken over at gunpoint.

Obama, US politicians ‘owned’ by Zionist lobby: Barry Grossman

An international lawyer says President Barack Obama’s statements on Israel’s deadly onslaught against Palestinians stem from “power politics” as he and other US politicians are “owned” by “the Zionist lobby.”

“We should never be so naive as to expect anything said by President Obama that touches on the subject of Israel to be based on sound logic or on facts,” said Barry Grossman in a phone interview with Press TV on Monday commenting on Obama’s remarks about Israel’s offensive on Gaza.

“There is nothing about Obama’s position or rhetoric on Gaza that is based on principle or facts as distinct from pure power politics,” Grossman added. “The simple demonstrable fact which America is at last waking up to, is that its political apparatus has been occupied by special interests for a very long time and no group is more organized, better resourced or more pernicious that the Zionist lobby.”

Desperate hunt for 'contagious' homeless man, 25, in California after he refused to have tuberculosis treatment

A desperate hunt is underway in Northern California for a tuberculosis patient who has refused treatment and may be contagious, putting those around him at risk.

Prosecutors said on Thursday that they have obtained an arrest warrant for Eduardo Rosas Cruz, a 25-year-old transient.

In March, he went to the San Joaquin General Hospital's emergency room, complaining of a severe cough. Diagnosed with tuberculosis, medical staff told him to stay in a Stockton motel room, where a health worker would deliver his medication and watch him take it. But officials say he took off.

County health officials asked prosecutors to seek the warrant, in part, because Rosas Cruz comes from a part of Mexico known for its drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis.

Gun-toting psychiatrist shoots suspect who killed Pennsylvania hospital employee: police

Three people, including a doctor, were shot at the wellness center connected to the Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital complex in Darby, just outside of Philadelphia, on Thursday, authorities said. One female employee was killed, a doctor suffered a graze wound and suspect Richard Plotts was also shot when the doctor returned fire using his own weapon.

A suspected gunman burst into a Pennsylvania hospital's psychiatric ward, killing a female caseworker and wounding a psychiatrist Thursday before the doctor returned fire and critically injured Richard Plotts, authorities said.

The gunfire erupted on the third floor of the Sister Marie Lenahan Wellness Center, which is part of the Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, just outside of Philadelphia, about 2:15 p.m., Darby Borough Mayor Helen Thomas told the Daily News.

To mock President Putin’s pride and test his paranoia is folly The downing of flight MH17 was clearly an accident. This tragedy should not be used as an excuse to punish Russia.

Why does foreign policy default to stupid? From the moment that we heard of the Malaysian airliner shot down over Ukraine it was clearly an accident. Whoever’s finger was on the trigger, the tragedy cannot have been meant. This was not another 9/11. It was cock-up, not conspiracy.

Yet foreign policy craves conspiracy. Vladimir Putin blamed the Ukrainian government. Ukraine blamed the pro-Russian rebels. America’s UN ambassador, Samantha Power, “cannot rule out” Moscow’s responsibility. London howled blue murder all round. There had been blood. There had to be blame.

From lying under oath, to driving drunk, sharing porn on RCMP computers, to having sex in cruisers, new discipline figures from Canada’s national police force show a record number of Mounties behaving badly.

The latest report from the RCMP’s professional integrity officer shows 104 new formal discipline cases were brought forward in 2012-13 compared to an average of 88 for the previous 13 years. The report suggests the increase may be linked to the force’s tighter discipline process and a tougher stand on “bad apples” by RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson.
