Money And Power: The Real Reason For The NSA Spying On Everyone

We noted that Booz Allen Hamilton (yes, the last employer of one Ed Snowden) had hired former NSA director and also Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell as its Vice Chairman. He was the leading voice out there screaming about the threat of "cyberwar" getting on TV and having lots of opinion pieces in big name publications -- all of which mentioned his former government jobs, but almost none of which mentioned that his current employer, Booz Allen Hamilton, stood to make billions selling "solutions" to the government. And, indeed, Booz Allen has been raking in the cash on "cybersecurity."

Liberal activists set up voter registration booth where Michael Brown was killed

The Rev. Jesse Jackson and liberal organizers are coordinating efforts to register voters in Ferguson, Missouri, setting up voting booths in the area as rioting and protests continue in the aftermath of Michael Brown’s death.

Mr. Jackson met Monday with St. Louis clergy to plan a formal voter registration drive, The Daily Caller reported.

“Five thousand new voters will transform the city from top to bottom,” he told potential voters during a stop at a McDonald’s.

Bush Administration Lawsuit Hearing Scheduled for Sept. 11th

Rather than dismissing the case, the Judge asked for additional information. So Mr. Comar filed a 2nd amended complaint back in June. The amended complaint provides more details about the planning of the Iraq war and when it started.

Comar’s evidence, shows the Bush/Cheney team started planning the invasion of Iraq as far back as 1997. The amended complaint also explains that the war was motivated by personal enrichment and the war was a “crime of aggression.”

In 1885, the US Geological Survey announced that there was “little or no chance” of oil being discovered in California.

In 1939 the US Department of the Interior said that American oil supplies would last only another 13 years.

In 1949 the Secretary of the Interior announced that the end of US oil was in sight.

ALL WARS ARE BANKERS' WARS! THE ORIGINAL ARTICLE

"If the Nation can issue a dollar bond it can issue a dollar bill. The element that makes the bond good makes the bill good also. The difference between the bond and the bill is that the bond lets the money broker collect twice the amount of the bond and an additional 20%. Whereas the currency, the honest sort provided by the Constitution pays nobody but those who contribute in some useful way. It is absurd to say our Country can issue bonds and cannot issue currency. Both are promises to pay, but one fattens the usurer and the other helps the People. " -- Thomas A. Edison

Useful Idiots and the Something For Nothing Society - Part III of IV

The greatest man made societal and economic collapse in history is unfolding before our eyes. This Journey to the collapse of the developed world's civilization and empire began over 100 years ago during the Presidency of Woodrow Wilson with his subversion/betrayal of the constitution of the United States and creation of a privately owned banking and currency monopoly called the Federal Reserve and the creation of the income tax to fund the beginning of the Confiscationism of the progressive socialism we see today. In exchange for a monopoly on money to multi century banking cartels which allowed the country to be run for the benefit of the banking systems. In exchange for unlimited funding for government. Private property rights began its road to demise at that time.

Why Do They Hate Us?

For ages have been trying to destroy us, but we stood firm and we fought back, proudly. They invaded, ruined, burned our lands, and they murdered the people of Russia, of China and of the entire part of the world, now called Latin America. They, of course, also murdered and destroyed tens or hundreds of millions of people in the Middle East, in Africa, Asia and Oceania.

When I say ‘they’, I mean the West, and once again I refuse to make any distinction between the old colonial devils, Europe, and the new ones that come from the same roots, the same ‘culture’, but kill under the shade of their relatively new flags.

They hate us because we bled and cried over our dead, but we never gave up the struggle.

Good Hillary, Bad Hillary

This summer, a University of Wisconsin mathematician, Jordan Ellenberg, created a small stir by inventing what he called the “Hawking Index” in honor of Stephen Hawking’s much-praised, if not necessarily much-read, A Brief History of Time. Using Amazon’s posted lists of the top five “popular highlights” in books notated by Kindle readers—and the page numbers those highlights fall on—Ellenberg crafted a quasi-scientific formula to compute how thoroughly best sellers were being consumed. At the high end by far was Donna Tartt’s novel The Goldfinch, which scored an anomalous 98.5 percent on the Hawking Index. Among nonfiction books, Michael Lewis’s Flash Boys was a leader, at 21.7 percent. At the bottom, breaking Hawking’s previous low (6.6 percent), was the most-written-about best seller of the year, Thomas Piketty’s Capital in the Twenty-First Century, at 2.4 percent.

Bidens in Hamptons to Begin Third Vacation in Month

"Vice President Joe Biden is arriving to spend a week in the Southampton area before leaving next Tuesday," News12 reports. "Biden lands in Westhampton this morning. The Hamptons are in Long Island.

Last week the Bidens were in Wyoming for another vacation. "It's summer vacation time for the vice president," USA Today reported on August 7.

"Joe Biden and wife Jill began some time off Thursday in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, his office said, and will be there through Monday."

The week before that one, the Bidens vacationed in Rehoboth Beach.

The ‘two-state solution’ is perennially misunderstood. The solution envisaged has nothing to do with a possible spatio-political division of Israel-Palestine and the ending of the Occupation. FLASHBACK - The Tytler Cycle Revisited

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;

'Outrage' Follows USDA's Advancement of New Genetically Engineered Crops

Environmental groups warn that advancing Dow's new genetically engineered crops means a continuation of a toxic chemical treadmill that threatens human health. (Photo: Holley St. Germain)

Watchdog groups are denouncing the U.S. Department of Agriculture's recommendation on Wednesday to approve new varieties of genetically engineered corn and soybeans as a path towards more toxic pesticides that threaten the environment and public health.

"We are outraged," stated Marcia Ishii-Eiteman, PhD, senior scientist with Pesticide Action Network, adding that the "USDA has turned its back on America’s farmers and rural communities."

The new crops are Dow AgroScience’s 2,4-D- and glyphosate-tolerant corn and soybeans. They are made to be used with Dow's Enlist Duo herbicide, which contains 2,4-D and glyphosate and is also under review by the USDA.

HHS on the hunt for HealthCare.gov emails Issa wants

A senior health department official under Republican scrutiny for the flawed rollout of HealthCare.gov likely deleted some emails now sought by congressional investigators, msnbc has learned.

The Department of Health and Human Services planned on Thursday to alert Congress and the National Archives and Records Administration, which is charged with enforcing federal record keeping laws, about the problem, according to a copy of a letter being sent to Archives.

There is no evidence that Marilyn Tavenner, an Obama appointee who leads the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, intentionally hid information or deleted records; rather, the gaps appear to be the result of sloppy record keeping. But Republicans have attempted to turn missing emails into a political scandal before, as they did with Lois Lerner, a former IRS official at the center of a separate controversy over alleged targeting of conservative nonprofit groups.

Man Framed by Detective Will Get $6.4 Million From New York City After Serving 23 Years for Murder

A man who was framed by a rogue detective and served 23 years in prison for a murder he did not commit will receive $6.4 million from the City of New York in a settlement that came before a civil rights lawsuit was even filed, lawyers involved in the case said on Thursday.

A $150 million claim filed last year by the man, David Ranta, was settled by the city comptroller’s office without ever involving the city’s legal department — which the lawyers involved in the negotiations described as a “groundbreaking” decision that acknowledged the overwhelming evidence the city faced.

The comptroller’s quick acceptance of liability in the high-profile conviction is also significant because the case is the first of what is expected to be a series of wrongful conviction claims by men who were sent to prison based on the flawed investigative work of the detective, Louis Scarcella, who has been accused of inventing confessions, coercing witnesses and recycling informers.

Cash, Weapons and Surveillance: the U.S. is a Key Party to Every Israeli Attack

The U.S. government has long lavished overwhelming aid on Israel, providing cash, weapons and surveillance technology that play a crucial role in Israel’s attacks on its neighbors. But top secret documents provided by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden shed substantial new light on how the U.S. and its partners directly enable Israel’s military assaults – such as the one on Gaza.

Over the last decade, the NSA has significantly increased the surveillance assistance it provides to its Israeli counterpart, the Israeli SIGINT National Unit (ISNU; also known as Unit 8200), including data used to monitor and target Palestinians. In many cases, the NSA and ISNU work cooperatively with the British and Canadian spy agencies, the GCHQ and CSEC.

MEGA PUKE FACTOR 9 BEX ALERT - Stand With Israel

On my own visits to Israel, I’ve visited with families who were afraid to let their children play outside, and seen the fortified playgrounds where they can go. I’ve seen the rubble of structures brought down by missile strikes and looked in the eyes of people who live with the threat of violence day-in and day-out.

The conflict between Hamas and Israel is merely one part of a much-larger conflict, one with far-ranging implications that can affect the lives of every person on the globe.

AIPAC Is the Only Explanation for America's Morally Bankrupt Israel Policy

The official name for Israel's latest assault on Gaza is "Operation Protective Edge." A better name would be "Operation Déjà Vu." As it has on several prior occasions, Israel is using weapons provided by U.S. taxpayers to bombard the captive and impoverished Palestinians in Gaza, where the death toll now exceeds 500. As usual, the U.S. government is siding with Israel, even though most American leaders understand Israel instigated the latest round of violence, is not acting with restraint, and that its actions make Washington look callous and hypocritical in the eyes of most of the world.

Worldwide condemnation over Israel's attack on Gaza has reached previously unseen levels, but the U.S. government has stated that its commitment to Israel will not waver and that providing weaponry remains standard policy despite accusations that Israel's behavior in Gaza amounts to "war crimes" and international calls for an immediate humanitarian cease-fire.

An epidemic of paedophiles, or to be more accurate, of ‘Pederasts‘, has for decades, freely festered in and around the governing institutions and media and entertainment in the UK.

Past proponents of the sordid practice (image, left, of ancient paedohile folklore), like the part publicly-funded Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE), were even paid to lobby for a more relaxed paedophile culture in Britain, including active lobbying to lower the age of consent to 12 years old. Many of those who were involved or helped to facilitate PIE’s presence in Westminster – are still in government, or quango organisations today.

In 'Ugly' Resolution, US Politicians Back Israel's Assault on Gaza

As the civilian death toll in Gaza continues to climb, the U.S. House of Representatives has introduced a symbolic resolution—backed by the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee—blaming Hamas for the bloodshed and condemning them for the alleged use of "human shields." But critics say this effort is just another U.S. affirmation of support and impunity for Israel, despite the fact that Israel's fighter jets, attack helicopters, drones, and soldiers are doing the killing.

"The resolution is a rhetorical statement, but it makes things really ugly," Phyllis Bennis, senior fellow at Institute for Policy Studies, told Common Dreams. "This resolution says that the elected representatives of the American people are standing with the slaughter of children and not saying a word about it. When you are doing that while you are paying Israel's bills and providing it protection in the United Nations, you are complicit."

Hate Laws Intended to Silence Truth

In a relativism culture of social permissiveness, the non-judgmental attitude, held out as the suitable standard for conduct, has become the politically correct behavior. One might think that anything goes under this mindset. However, the exact opposite practice and enforcement, under the most rigid conditions, is championed as necessary for enlighten and tolerant liberalists. The proliferation of demands that hate speech is the new capital crime, actually is counter iterative in building a civil society. This orthodoxy of the fanatical, proudly presents this illuminated and required deportment, as obligatory for all citizens.

The Disgusting Way the Clintons Earned Their Millions

Hillary Clinton is decidedly out of touch with the American public.

While many Americans work very, very hard to make an honest living, the Secretary of State along with her husband have earned over $100 million since they left The White House in 2000.

The real scandal here isn’t that the former First Lady and her husband are so wealthy. Rather, it has everything to do with how they made so much money in one of the worst economies in decades.

The former President and his wife claimed that upon entering The White House, they had the lowest net worth of any presidential family in the past century.

When they left, they claimed they were equally poor.

Nearly 300,000 suicides in India so far from GMO crop failures

The Western media is steeped in denial about the true damage being caused by genetically modified (GM) crops, especially in the developing Third World. But despite the lies you may have heard from mainstream news sources, nearly 300,000 Indian farmers have committed suicide since 1995 as a direct result of mounting debt and crop failures associated with GMO crops, and mainly cotton crops that were forcibly converted to patented, transgenic varieties owned by Big Biotech.

A report by India's National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) revealed that, between 1995 and 2011, 290,740 farmer suicides had taken place due to economic failure, poverty and bankruptcy caused by GMO adoption. And in the years since that time, for which there is no official data, there have more than likely been thousands of additional suicides, bringing this number to at least 300,000 and possibly higher.

Former Vanguard Tax Lawyer Files Whistleblower Suit Alleging Mutual Fund Giant Became Low-Cost Leader by Evading $1 Billion in Taxes

A former employee of Vanguard Group Inc. has sued the mutual-fund company in New York, saying it has avoided paying federal and state taxes and sheltered hundreds of millions of dollars annually.

The civil suit, unsealed in the Supreme Court of New York on Friday, accuses the Malvern, Pa.-based firm of operating an illegal tax shelter for nearly 40 years, thus avoiding $1 billion of U.S. federal income tax and at least $20 million of New York tax over the last 10 years, according to a copy of the complaint. The suit was filed by David Danon, whose LinkedIn profile describes him as an associate counsel at the company from August 2008 to June 2013. Mr. Danon is requesting all costs of filing the lawsuit as well as 15% to 30% of any money recovered by the state and local governments, including all proceeds of any related action.

A rash of anti-Almond Milk articles flushes the liberal blog-o-sphere. Why?

It was only one month ago that the first anti-almond milk article appeared in U.S. News and World report which sparked the 'debate' online. The article received thousands of shares and swept across the internet at alarming speed.

So would it strike you as interesting if I told you that this 'source' article was written by Dietician Tamara Duker Freuman and that some deeper research into Ms. Freuman shows that she just so happens to be a paid 'Media spokesman' and consultant [PDF] with the Dairy industry? Or perhaps, when all the highly-subsidized overabundance of milk in U.S. public schools was being criticized, it was the same Ms. Freuman who not only came to Dairy's defense but actually advocated sugar-laden chocolate milk as a 'good thing' in schools?

FLASHBACK - An exodus which was merely a myth

Showing the foundations of the fort of the XVIIIth dynasty, the oldest ever found in this line of defense, known as the road of Horus, Mohamad Abdel-Maqsoud, the leader of excavations and the director of the central administration of Egyptian antiquities, said that it is testimony to the fierceness of the fighting. "It is here that was established the first large lock of the empire against the conquerors from the east, as the Hyksos," he says, whereas today the Suez Canal is only 5 km. But the basis for subsequent attacks in the Pharaonic empire in the direction of Palestine, with the establishment of a chain composed of a dozen strongholds until what is now known as the Gaza Strip.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel gains a great deal of political advantage from the story of Exodus. But much of the Torah or Old Testament is simply stolen from other sources. The story of Noah and the Flood, for example, was copied from the Epic of Gilgamesh, as was the story of Job. It is important to recall that in those days there was no prohibition on copying. The physical book or scroll was the thing of value due to the labor intensive process of creating it, and copying/modifying other stories was accepted practice.

But according to modern archaeologists, including Egypt's Dr. Zahi Hawass, the story told of the flight of the Hebrews from Pharaoh actually happened to the Hyksos, who fled Egypt looting as they went which is why Pharaoh chased after them.

It is important to understand that rulers always lie, and the Israelites are no different.

US Empire Reaches Breaking Point. “Greatest Threat to Humanity”. Time To End It

The people of the United States must work to end the interventionist violence of the U.S. Empire.

This is Part I of a two part series on American Empire. Part II will focus on the Empire Economy and [how] it is failing to work for most Americans as well as most people of the world.

The historian who chronicles US Empire, William Blum, issued his 130th Anti-Empire Report this week. In it he notes that the US, by far, is seen by the people of the world as “the greatest threat to peace in the world today” with 24% taking that view. Only 2% see Russia as such a threat, and 6% see China.

This should not come as a surprise since, as this map shows, much of the world has been bombed, had their democratically chosen government overthrown and has been occupied by the United States.

Obamacare hit by ruling, but subsidies to continue

President Barack Obama's health care law is enmeshed in another big legal battle after two federal appeals courts issued contradictory rulings on a key financing issue within hours of each other Tuesday.

A divided court panel in Washington called into question the subsidies that help millions of low- and middle-income people pay their premiums, saying financial aid can be paid only in states that have set up their own insurance markets, or exchanges.

About 100 miles to the south in Richmond, Virginia, another appeals court panel unanimously came to the opposite conclusion, ruling that the Internal Revenue Service correctly interpreted the will of Congress when it issued regulations allowing consumers in all 50 states to purchase subsidized coverage.

The White House immediately declared that policyholders will keep getting financial aid as the administration sorts out the legal implications.

BREAKING: Obamacare dealt massive setback by federal appeals court

Millions of Americans are not entitled to government health insurance subsidies under Obamacare because of the way the law is written, a divided three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday.

In a decision that could blow a massive hold in President Obama’s signature domestic achievement, the court held that people living in states that relied on the federal government to set up their insurance market exchanges cannot offer the subsidies considered critical to making coverage affordable.

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the administration used an IRS rule to stretch the meaning of the Affordable Care Act, which said financial aid to to low- and middle-income people should only flow to exchanges “established by the State.” If that means only state-run exchanges, it would cut off subsidies to two-thirds of the nation.

They involve more than a dozen felonies, including bid-rigging on municipal bond debt; colluding to rig interest rates on hundreds of trillions of dollars in mortgages, derivatives and other contracts; exposing investors to excessive risk; failing to disclose known risks, including those in the Bernie Madoff scandal; and engaging in multiple forms of mortgage fraud.

So why, asks Chicago Alderwoman Leslie Hairston, are we still doing business with them? She plans to introduce a city council ordinance deleting JPM from the city’s list of designated municipal depositories.

When the Government talks of Sanctions

Sanctions only serve the Government, not the People.

When a foreign country, such as Russia, Iran or Cuba, is at the receiving end of sanctions, only the people suffer. Americans suffer because they can’t export as much so they loose money. And the people in those foreign countries also suffer because they cannot receive the benefits of American-made products to make their lives better. In either case both governments benefit. How?

The US government enlarges its reach of power much like a two-bit mafia don: “Do what I say or else. Capisce?” It does not suffer because it produces nothing and its long arm is in every American pocket via the IRS and other tax authorities.

The foreign government is also happy because it too is a two-bit mafia don with its hands on every lever of the economy. When its people cannot progress they’re at its mercy: “Do what I say or no bread. Capisce?”

That’s half right. The suit is probably best understood as a sort of formal protest measure. It’s not that Boehner doesn’t want to win, nor that the suit lacks any serious legal grounding—but it’s less about scoring a binding legal victory than it is about drawing attention to the Obama administration’s casual approach to implementing and enforcing the law. The goal is to channel the Republican party's many frustrations with the president into an official forum that focuses on one of the clearest instances of executive branch overreach.

Court documents show Swallow is charged with 11 felonies and two misdemeanors. Five are second-degree felonies for a pattern of unlawful activity, accepting gifts, compensation or loans when prohibited, receiving or soliciting bribes/bribery by a public official and false or inconsistent material statements. Six third-degree felonies include receiving or soliciting bribes/bribery by a public official, tampering with evidence, misuse of public money and obstructing justice. The two Class B misdemeanors are for falsifying/atlering government records and failure to disclose conflict of interest/comply with reporting.

Court documents show Shurtleff is charged with 10 felonies. Seven are second-degree felonies for a pattern of unlawful activity, receiving or soliciting bribes and accepting gift, compensation or loan when prohibited and improper use of a employees position. Three third-degree felonies included tampering with a witness, tampering with evidence and obstructing justice.

Webmaster's Commentary:

From Wikipedia: In January 2013, the United States Department of Justice and FBI investigated Swallow's role in an alleged scheme to help indicted businessman Jeremy Johnson avoid a lawsuit by the FTC.[11] According to Johnson, who was indicted for mail-fraud charges related to his internet business iWorks, Swallow attempted to broker a deal to bribe Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid with $600,000 through lobbyist Richard Rawle.[10]

In May 2013, Marc Sessions Jenson (who was convicted in 2008 of defrauding millions from investors) turned receipts over to the FBI he claims show that in 2009 he gave Swallow free meals, massages, golf outings and rooms at a gated Newport Beach villa.[12]

In September 2013, the United States Department of Justice notified John Swallow's lawyer that they would not be filing charges in their investigation.

Congress again snorts 'Israel dust' on Gaza

The Israel Lobby is at it again, prowling the halls of Congress to give out its required doses of “Israel dust” where they must witness it being snorted by their helpers, similar to American prison guards making sure their charges swallow their daily mood control drugs to keep them docile.

We have all been here before, watching our Congress grovel to a foreign lobby like trained circus animals. It actually has become a competition to see who can grovel the most. The snorting recipe for this week is the usual blank check support to Israel for anything it wants to do to the Palestinians simply by claiming it is a self defense measure and invoking America's long time pledges to defend Israel. Gowex Chief Orchestrated Sham Hiding Lies in Plain Sight

Gowex founder Jenaro Garcia fabricated clients and contracts, listed a defunct company as a holding company for his stake in Gowex, and put numbers in reports that didn’t make any sense, even as matters of basic arithmetic.

It was all so brazen that Gotham City Research LLC, the short-seller whose July 1 report exposed the sham, even began to question whether its conclusion -- that Gowex was overstating revenues -- was off-base.

“We were looking for things that might undermine our view,” Gotham founder Daniel Yu said in an interview last week in New York. “It was like that movie ‘Groundhog Day’ where we’re waking up, expecting to see a different outcome, but each day validates our thesis.”

Garcia owned up to the deeds, resigning from the company on July 5 and saying on Twitter he made a “confession” to court and would cooperate with investigators.

Misbehaving Bankers Threaten System, BOE’s Bailey Says

Bank of England Deputy Governor Andrew Bailey said banks’ misconduct risks undermining the entire financial system following increasingly large fines.

Misbehavior has “broader consequences,” Bailey, who leads the central bank’s Prudential Regulation Authority, said in an interview in London today. “The risk of loss of confidence in the integrity of financial markets is very, very big. This threatens a vital underpinning of the system.”

US Congressmen threatened by Israeli lobby: Bruce Gagnon

US lawmakers are threatened by the Israeli lobby not to talk about Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians with losing their jobs in the Congress, an American political analyst says.

“Our Congress has been taken over by people who are afraid of Israel and many people in the United States Congress are threatened by the Israeli lobby and told that if they don’t support Israel, they will be thrown out of office,” Bruce Gagnon from Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space told Press TV on Sunday.

“There have been several cases of congressional representatives who stood up to Israel and then there was a tremendous outpouring of money and lies in their next campaign for election where they’re defeated. So, this has frightened many people inside the Congress who now will never say anything bad about Israel because they’re afraid they lose their jobs,” he added.

German MP who spoke out against cannabis use admits taking crystal meth to 'improve my performance'

German MP Michael Hartmann has revealed that he took crystal meth in a bid to sharpen up at work.

Hartmann, the interior policy expert for the Social Democrats, had his Berlin apartment searched for drugs by police on Wednesday and his lawyer later admitted that he once bought and consumed crystal meth in 2013.

His lawyer stressed that Hartmann, who has been a vocal anti-cannabis campaigner, was not addicted to crystal meth and only took it for around a month to ‘improve performance’ at work , according to The Local.

His lawyer said: 'Without wishing to excuse his misconduct, he explains it by saying that he hoped at that time to be more efficient through drug use.'

Police searched the 51-year-old’s home after a surveillance team saw him buying the drug.

Salvadoran Farmers Successfully Oppose the Use of Monsanto Seeds

Farmers across El Salvador united to block a stipulation in a US aid package to their country that would have indirectly required the purchase of Monsanto genetically modified (GM) seeds.

Thousands of farmers, like 45-year-old farmer Juan Joaquin Luna Vides, prefer to source their seeds locally, and not to use Monsanto’s GM seeds.

“Transnational companies have been known to provide expired seeds that they weren’t able to distribute elsewhere,” said Vides, who heads the Diversified Production program at the Mangrove Association, a community development organization that works in the Bajo Lempa region of El Salvador.

“We would like the US embassy and the misinformed media outlets [that are pressuring the Salvadoran government to change their procurement procedure] to know more about the reality of national producers and recognize the food sovereignty of the country,” he added.

Halbig v. Burwell: The next big Obamacare case

In brief, these cases claim the IRS has exceeded its statutory authority in authorizing tax credits and cost-sharing subsidies on federal exchanges because the PPACA only authorizes tax credits for the purchase of insurance on an exchange “established by the State under Section 1311.” Section 1311 instructs states to create exchanges. Federal exchanges are established under Section 1321 of the Act.

At one level these cases present a straightforward statutory interpretation question. The text is clear and does not contradict any other provisions in the Act. That would seem to settle the matter.

Why Is Obama Encouraging Illegal Immigration When We Can’t Take Care Of Millions Of Our Own Citizens?

It isn't an accident that our southern border is literally being flooded with illegal immigrants right now. Newspapers in El Salvador and Honduras have been publicizing how easy illegal immigration has become, and even the President of Honduras has said that people are coming to the United States for "Obama's amnesty".

When they arrive, thousands upon thousands of these illegal immigrants are using rehearsed answers that border patrol agents are hearing over and over again. Word has spread that if illegal immigrants claim that they are "fleeing gang violence" that it is more likely that they will be allowed to stay.

What we are witnessing down on the southern border is really unprecedented. It has been estimated that twelve times as many kids are crossing our borders illegally now compared to just a few years ago.

And they just keep on coming.

This is utter madness.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And what is Obama's true "intention" here?

My cynical guess is that this policy has three purposes.

First, to flood the marketplace with ultra-cheap labor, which large corporations, to whom Obama is beholden, love.

Secondly, to create generations of Democratic voters (if elections last much longer in this country)to give a party which has completely deserted and abandoned its alleged core principals, the edge in national elections.

Thirdly, to create a wellspring of revolt among Americans who are legally here, and/or born here, and desperate for some job, any job at all.

Nation-wide riots against illegal immigration would give Obama the excuse for suspending the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and instituting martial law, an action which he would just love to do.

His intention is crystal clear here.

Obamacare faces another court threat — and this one could be fatal

The threats to Obamacare just keep on coming……

A case before the U.S. Court of Appeals in the District of Columbia may determine the Affordable Care Act was written in such a way that it prevents the federal government’s HealthCare.gov web site from offering subsidies.

Now such a ruling would have a long way to go before it actually would become enacted — and a lot of legal hoops would have to be jumped through — but such a finding could be a show-stopper for Obamacare. More than 5 million of the 8 million who signed up for Obamacare through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ web site would thus not be eligible for tax credits. Most, presumably, would fall off the rolls of the insured.

FLASHBACK - The Franklin Coverup Scandal

This was the biggest pedophile scandal in the history of the U.S.A. The story received some newspaper coverage but there was a TV News Media blackout on the subject. For this reason, most Americans have never heard of it.

Former republican Senator John Decamp was involved in the production a documentary called "Conspiracy of Silence" it was to air May 3, 1994 on the Discovery Channel. This documentary exposed a network of religious leaders and Washington politicians who flew children to Washington D.C. for sex orgies. At the last minute before airing, unknown congressmen threatened the TV Cable industry with restrictive legislation if this documentary was aired.

Webmaster's Commentary:

FLASHBACK - Sequester Doomsday Predictions: Much Ado about Nothing

Despite endless hand-wringing and apocryphal forecasts of massive federal job losses as a result of the 2013 sequestration, it turns out that — drum roll, please — only one job was eliminated.

Syngenta Stalks Scientist who Proves their Herbicide Toxic

Three years earlier, Syngenta, one of the largest agribusinesses in the world, had asked Hayes to conduct experiments on the herbicide atrazine, which is applied to more than half the corn in the United States. Hayes continued studying atrazine on his own, and soon he became convinced that Syngenta representatives were following him to conferences around the world. He worried that the company was orchestrating a campaign to destroy his reputation. He complained that whenever he gave public talks there was a stranger in the back of the room, taking notes.

Government Stops Glenn Greenwald from Publishing His Big Snowden Revelation … But Others Will Release ALL of the Snowden Documents to Prevent a War

A month ago, Glenn Greenwald announced that he was going to publish his biggest story yet: the names of those the NSA has been spying on.

Earlier today, Greenwald tweeted that he would finally publish the story tonight at midnight.

8 hours later, he tweeted:

After 3 months working on our story, USG [the United States government] today suddenly began making new last-minute claims which we intend to investigate before publishing

Many responded that it’s a trap, and that the government is dishonestly and illegally censoring Greewald.

At the same time, Cryptome announced that all of the Snowden documents will be released in July … supposedly in order to avert a war.

“July is when war begins unless headed off by Snowden full release of crippling intel. After war begins not a chance of release,” Cryptome tweeted on its official feed. “Warmongerers are on a rampage. So, yes, citizens holding Snowden docs will do the right thing,” it said.

Watch Out for that Banana Peel

Recently, the EU announced that it is looking into legislation to allow the savings of EU citizens to "be used to fund long-term investments to boost the economy and help plug the gap left by banks since the financial crisis."

Sounds reasonable enough. But why would legislation be needed? It's perfectly legal for people to invest their savings in such ventures now, should they choose to do so.

Let's see what else the EU have to say: They are considering a law "to mobilize more personal pension savings for long-term financing." Mobilise? An odd term to use when discussing privately held savings. It could mean "encourage investment," or it could just as easily mean "confiscate." The former might be okay, but the latter would clearly not.

This man claims Microsoft stole his greatest idea — & Android users are still paying for it 18 years later

“It was like the Wild West,” Morris told me. Amidst all the competition and innovation in the 1990s, lines of ethics and justice were blurred. “I didn’t think they’d actually get a patent on it, because for a patent you need something novel,” Morris said, “and we’d been selling it already for well over a year.”

U.S. Patent 6,101,510 makes absolutely no mention of V_Graph or its browser extension. According to Section 101 of the U.S. Patent Act, an invention is patentable if it is new, useful, and non-obvious. According to Morris, Microsoft’s patent meets only one of those requirements. Since V_Graph had sold the technology a year prior, it’s nothing new. Since the technology itself is simply the combination of a browser and a software component, it’s nothing non-obvious. Yet, since millions of Android users are forking over licensing fees to Microsoft, it’s clearly useful.

ALL WARS ARE BANKERS' WARS! UPDATED!

"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The Bankers own the Earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create deposits, and with the flick of a pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take it away from them, and all the fortunes like mine will disappear, and they ought to disappear, for this world would be a happier and better world to live in. Obama keeps heat on Republican critics: ‘Even basic common sense ideas can’t get through this Congress’

President Barack Obama used a campaign-style speech in the American heartland Friday to blast his Republican opponents as feckless obstructionists in Congress, saying Washington’s current gridlock “drives me nuts.”

Republicans have become so obsessed with blocking the Democratic president’s every move that he has been forced to use his executive authority to advance priorities like pay fairness, Obama said, dismissing as a stunt a threatened Republican lawsuit against him.

The White House and Republican congressional leaders, notably House Speaker John Boehner, have sparred repeatedly over Obama’s use of executive orders, with Boehner warning this week that Americans “didn’t elect a monarch or king.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, the only thing this man can do extraordinarily well (assuming the teleprompter is in front of him) - is campaign.

In terms of actually thinking things through to their rational conclusion, the man, and the administration which surrounds him, is absolutely, hopelessly, pathologically incapable of indulging in this discipline.

This is why, under his watch, you had APgate; Bengazhigate;, IRSgate; VAgate; a total security melt-down in Iraq; sponsoring a badly considered putsch in Ukraine, which may have enormous geopolitical consequences with Russia; NSAgate, and Obamacaregate.

And I would be very cautious, were I President Obama, to dismiss Boehner's threat to sue.

And Mr. President, if you want to lift up the middle class, bring back the jobs which used to be the underpinning of a functioning, prosperous middle class in this country.

But you won't, will you, because the large corporations which have supported you want the labor done more cheaply in other countries!!

And your Republican colleagues are just as happy to take the money and not look at the consequences when there are no decent jobs for Americans because it's what their corporate overlords want.

The truth of the business is that Americans understand that they are no longer represented by any part of the American government; it is the corporations, which fund election cycles, which get represented, period, end of discussion.

And because of that understanding, neither party now has any credibility with the American people, whatsoever.

It should be an interesting November election.

In the world of gossipy politics, Edward Klein’s new “Blood Feud” book is the gift that keeps on giving, the latest released excerpt pointing to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s supposed boozy rantings about President Obama as a “feckless,” inept leader.

Mrs. Clinton, who had resigned as secretary of state months earlier, was asked by friends at the event to speak candidly about Mr. Obama, according to the book.

Shock: EPA Employees Asked to Stop Defecating In Office Hallways

Have you ever wonder what it is that government employees actually do?

Well, in addition to giving Americans grief over just about anything you can imagine, according to Government Executive they are apparently so bored that some have resorted to pooping in the hallways of government buildings, purposely clogging toilets, and surfing porn on the taxpayer dime.

Contractors built secret man caves in an EPA warehouse, an employee pretended to work for the CIA to get unlimited vacations and one worker even spent most of his time on the clock looking at pornography.

It appears, however, that a regional office has reached a new low: Management for Region 8 in Denver, Colo., wrote an email earlier this year to all staff in the area pleading with them to stop inappropriate bathroom behavior, including defecating in the hallway.

House passes bill to weaken Dodd-Frank and help Wall Street, Koch brothers

The House of Representatives voted Tuesday to water down key parts of the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act, weakening the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s power to regulate derivatives. The resulting bill helps big banks and the Koch brothers.

The bill reauthorizes the CFTC’s mandate, which expired in October 2013, for five years. It would also reverse the commission’s tough rules on U.S. businesses' swaps with counter-parties abroad, requiring it to draw up a new regime together with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Critics contend that the loosening of regulations could weaken market stability, Reuters reported.

“The purpose of this bill is to remove barriers to business growth that have been imposed by over-reaching and burdensome regulations,” Rep. Michael Grimm (R-NY) said, according to HedgeCo.net.

Vaccine researcher charged with felony crimes for research fraud; may spend 20 years in prison over faked AIDS vaccine

Scientific fraud is so common in the vaccine industry, it's practically the default business model. The truth is that most vaccines don't work, so in order to make them appear to work, researchers routinely spike blood samples of vaccinated test subjects with antibodies, making it appear the vaccine caused the body to produce those antibodies.

This is exactly what Merck does with MMR vaccines, according to the company's own former virologists who filed a False Claims Act with the federal government. It's also why up to 97% of children who contract measles or mumps were already vaccinated against measles and mumps.

IRS’s Lerner sought tax audit of Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley over his wife’s free meal

Lois G. Lerner, the woman at the center of the Internal Revenue Service’s tea party targeting scandal, tried to get her agency to conduct an audit involving a sitting U.S. senator, according to emails released Wednesday by the House Ways and Means Committee.

Ms. Lerner suggested that the IRS look into whether it was wrong for a group to pay for Sen. Chuck Grassley’s wife to attend an event where he was slated to speak. Her suggestion was shot down by another IRS employee who said the arrangement appeared to be legal.

But the email chain, which was turned over to Congress as part of its investigation, raises more questions about Ms. Lerner.

“At every turn, Lerner was using the IRS as a tool for political purposes in defiance of taxpayer rights,” said Rep. Dave Camp, Michigan Republican and chairman of the Ways and Means Committee.

Special Report, FBI Killed Franklin Scandal Investigator from Wayne Madsen Report

A very knowledgeable source involved with what became known as the “Franklin Scandal” told WMR that Caradori flew to Chicago ostensibly to attend the All Star game on July 10 at Wrigley Field. In reality, the trip to the game was a cover for Caradori to meet with a source who handed him photographs that proved that Nebraskan children, some from the famed Boy’s Town orphanage, were being used for the sexual gratification of important political leaders in Washington, including Vice President and President George H W Bush.

Caradori phoned his wife and another investigator shortly before the All-Star game and told them the same thing: “I got what I came after. I got ‘em by the balls. I’ve got pictures. I will take them to the game and bring them back to Nebraska.”

The great global warming swindle - Full version

Webmaster's Commentary:

“The machiavelian threefold game of the neoconservatives”

To realize their fantasies of world domination, the neocons resorted to a triple discourse, as Laurent Guyénot shows in this study, i.e. a cynical political philosophy developed by their mentor Leo Strauss for domestic consumption; a cold analysis of Israeli strategic interests for the benefit of the leaders in Tel Aviv, and a fear-mongering warning against imaginary dangers besetting U.S. public opinion.

'You have a problem with credibility': IRS chief comes under fire at House hearing

Embattled IRS Commissioner John Koskinen weathered another round of heated questioning at a Monday night hearing where lawmakers challenged his credibility over the discovery that years' worth of emails from ex-IRS official Lois Lerner have gone missing.

Politicians For Sale? There's An App For That

We have not been shy about exposing the dark shadowy under-belly of lobbyists funding politicians (as most recently noted with Cantor's catastrophe) but now, as Engadget reports, finding out which representatives are in the pocket without a lot of tedious research just got a lot easier. A 16-year-old programmer has developed a browser plugin - Greenhouse - that, when you mouse-over the name of a US lawmaker, will serve up a list of which parties have donated to their campaign funds, and the quantities. Better than flappy-birds?

THE SONASOFT SAGA - THE IRS HAS A CONTRACT WITH A COMPANY THAT BACKS UP ALL OF THEIR EMAILS!

John Koskinen's testimony before the House Ways & Means Committee basically came down to "The Dog Ate My Emails", infuriating when you consider that the IRS demands all Americans keep all financial records for up to 7 years for possible review by the IRS, while the IRS was free to dispose of embarrassing and criminal evidence at their discretion. Worse, apparently emboldened by Attorney General Eric Holser's steadfast refusal to allow the Department of Justice to open a criminal investigation into the IRS' actions (possibly to to the DOJ's own complicity in siccing the FBI on Obama's enemies), Koskinin refused to even apologize for the lost emails, barely able to keep the smirk off of his face!

Webmaster's Commentary:

The story is going viral across the net today. By tomorrow the corporate media will have to cover it. That means Issa and Ryan will have no choice but to call the IRS on their obvious lie that there are no backups for the missing emails. Please share with all of your social media. I will keep this story at the top of the main page for a while, New stories will start just below.

Biden: “I Don’t Own a Single Stock or Bond”, has 11 Investment Funds

Can Democrats running in 2016 give the fake class warfare a rest? First Hillary claimed that she left the White House broke (and bought two mansions) and that after making $100 million she’s not truly well off.

Now, never one to let his foot leave his mouth for too long, Joe Biden had to jump in and cry poverty.

IRS CANCELLED Contract with Email-Storage Firm Weeks After Lerner’s Computer Crash

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) cancelled its longtime relationship with an email-storage contractor just weeks after ex-IRS official Lois Lerner’s computer crashed and shortly before other IRS officials’ computers allegedly crashed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

BUMP TO THE TOP.

If the IRS canceled the contact AFTER the Lois Lerner's email was lost, why didn't the IRS request those emails be restored BEFORE they ended the contract?

And given that they had lost emails prior to ending the Contract with Sonasoft, who did the IRS shift the contract to maintain compliance with email archiving laws to? Did the IRS just decide to stop complying with those laws and "hope for the best" with their demonstrably faulty email system?

Pirates with Nukes

Entirely dispelled are any lingering doubts about the disdain Israel has for international law. Before going any further, just reflect upon all the apologist responses to the global condemnation of the Mediterranean Massacre. All the toadies that carry the water for the Zionist despotism are predictable and deceitful. Based on a foundation of sand their mantra ignores the facts and rests on false axioms.

NeoCon Glenn Beck is a devoted cheerleader of Zionism. Making things worse, he is also a Dispensationalist. Departing from the solid research on condemning the failed philosophy of Progressivism, Beck demeans his audience with a false history of Palestine and the nature of the Israeli state. His religious doctrine regarding Israel makes him an apostate. Duping well intentions, but ill-informed viewers into accepting the crimes of Israel, as the will of God, is why he is a Trojan horse.

Hillary Clinton: Drudge Report, Independent Media Carry “Bad Information”

At a recent book signing in Austin, Texas, Hillary Clinton suggested that the Drudge Report and other independent media sites carry “bad information.”
