Iran leader: US playing `game' in Afghanistan

Taking aim at the U.S., Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday that it's the United States that is playing a "double game" in Afghanistan, fighting terrorists it once supported.

At a press conference in the Afghan capital, Ahmadinejad was asked to respond to U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who earlier in the week accused Tehran of "playing a double game" by trying to have a good relationship with the Afghan government while undermining U.S. and NATO efforts by providing some support to the Taliban.

Tehran has said it supports the Afghan government and denies allegations that it helps the Taliban.

"We must trust ourselves first and foremost – with our feet on the ground and our eyes to the sky. Iran’s refutation of US’ lies of nuclear weapons censored by corporate media, political “leaders”

*hyperlinks live at source*

Levying war against the US is defined as treason in the US Constitution. The political and corporate media oligarchy who lied to levy war in Iraq committed treason against the US.

The political and corporate media fascists now lie for war with Iran.

The latest lie is one of egregious omission: refusing to communicate to the American public Iran’s refutation of US government lying rhetoric of a nuclear weapons program in Iran; printed below. When media and government silence the voice of opposition, this shouts-out as propaganda that middle school students are taught to recognize.

Mullen Wary of Israeli Attack on Iran

Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, came home with sweaty palms from his mid-February visit to Israel. He has been worrying aloud that Israel will mousetrap the U.S. into war with Iran.

This is of particular concern because Mullen has had considerable experience in putting the brakes on such Israeli plans in the past. This time, he appears convinced that the Israeli leaders did not take his warnings seriously – notwithstanding the unusually strong language he put into play.

It’s time: Declare lies for war with Iran as treason against our soldiers and US Constitution

*hyperlinks and video live at source*

Five thousand dead American soldiers in wars all based in known lies.

Thirty thousand admitted American soldiers wounded and injured with over 100,000 disability claims granted.

Over one million dead Iraqi and Afghan citizens and God knows how many wounded and suffering.

$3 to $5 trillion in long-term costs to American taxpayers. That’s $30,000 to $50,000 per US household of $50,000 annual income. If your household makes more than $50,000 per year, do the math to understand your personal obligation to pay for these long-term costs based on known lies.

And now the US threatens nuclear war with Iran based in known lies:

Pacifists undermining quest for world peace?

Pacifists are undermining efforts to establish world peace, or so says a cabinet member of a country that calls itself a superpower.

Addressing NATO officers and officials at the National Defense University in Washington on February 23, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said the demilitarization of Europe, “where large swaths of the general public and political class are averse to military force and the risks that go with it,” is impeding efforts to establish real security and lasting peace in the twenty-first century.

This sounds like the slogans from George Orwell’s book 1984: “War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.”

The federal government has awarded more than $107 billion in contract payments, grants and other benefits over the past decade to foreign and multinational American companies while they were doing business in Iran, despite Washington’s efforts to discourage investment there, records show.

That includes nearly $15 billion paid to companies that defied American sanctions law by making large investments that helped Iran develop its vast oil and gas reserves.

Video satire: President Obama rejects the narrow, dogmatic views of the Jedi

Derrick C. Crowe’s latest 3-minute video below compares President Obama’s rejection speech of peace (and here) to the widely popular Star Wars artistic presentation of a republic descending into fascism.

The strategy to rip constitutional restraint in the story was a false flag attack, which is a distinct strategy planned for operation by the US government to kill Americans, blame Iran, and launch a “defensive” war.

CameronFanSite’s Channel presents a 10 minute artistic explanation of how governments use false flag attacks to create public support to wage Wars of Aggression, also below.

Many Voices Calling for War with Iran

Wanting to go to war with Iran has created some very strange bedfellows. Leading neoconservative Daniel Pipes’ assertion that President Barack Obama can salvage his presidency and get reelected by attacking Iran is about as low as it gets, suggesting as it does that an act of war can and should serve as a diversion from a failed domestic agenda. The soldiers and civilians who would inevitably die in such a conflict might not agree with Pipes that all is fair in politics. They would no doubt consider themselves betrayed and manipulated by a venal and disconnected political leadership, but no matter. It would not be a first time a neocon would consider a non-neocon casualty little more than a disagreeable statistic.

Hitler’s “Big Lie” reborn: US lies for war with Iran bigger, more Orwellian than war lies with Iraq

*hyperlinks and videos live at source*

The American public is being played; duped into one unlawful War of Aggression after another. The criminal perpetrator of these war lies is a controlling faction of our own government. The evidence in this article will prove beyond any doubt that “war lies” is the accurate term; lies in Orwellian opposite of the verifiable facts, lies that cannot be reasonably construed as misinterpretations or well-intended mistakes.

These are what political historians reference as “Big Lies;” so massive and evil that ordinary citizens initially reject the objective evidence because they can’t imagine their leadership being literal psychopaths. Big Lies evoke sufficient cognitive dissonance for the public to embrace the Big Lie…but only for a time.

Israel and the US accuse Iran of seeking nuclear arms, as Tel Aviv threatens to attack Iranian nuclear installations and Washington warns of keeping 'all options on the table,' including economic sanctions and military measures.

Iran, however, says its program, which is extensively monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is directed at the civilian applications of the technology. The country has also called on all nuclear powers to abandon atomic weaponry and eliminate all such arsenal.

Muslims are numerous but powerless. Divisions among Muslims, especially between Sunni and Shi’ites, have consigned the Muslim Middle East to almost a century of Western control. Muslims cannot even play together. That was a war council in Damascus

The three-party meeting that took place in Damascus on Friday gathering the Syrian president Bashar al Assad, the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Hizbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was a war council to devise counterattack plans and assign tasks in the event of an Israeli offensive on one or all parties, wrote Abdelbari Atwan, the editor-in-chief of the pan-Arab newspaper Al Quds al Arabi.

“The timing of the meeting, the way it was undertaken and the ensuing press conference that was held at its conclusion, all point to a strategic coalition being reinforced. Top Israeli official: A nuclear Iran would endanger world stability

"Iran is not just a challenge for Israel. I believe it is a challenge for the whole world," Barak said in a speech in Washington. "I can hardly think of a stable world order with a nuclear Iran."

Barak said he doubts that Iran is "crazy" enough -- he used the Yiddish word "meshugah" -- to launch a nuclear attack against Israel, but warned the existence of a nuclear-armed Iran could endanger the region, disrupt oil supplies and empower Iran's terrorist allies.

"I don't think the Iranians, even if they got the bomb, are going to drop it in the neighborhood," Barak said. "They fully understand what might follow -- they are radical but not total 'meshugah.' They have a quite sophisticated decision-making process and they understand realities."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ehud Barack is essentially admitting that even if Iran had nuclear weapon, they are not going to use it in an offensive role.

Hence, the only "threat" from Iran, and one that Israel is willing to throw away American lives to prevent, is that a nuclear Iran would be safe from attack by Israel, and would break Israel's current nuclear monopoly in the Mideast.

And that to me is a really stupid reason to see your children blown to bloody bits.

Iran unexpectedly surfaces hidden nuclear stockpile

Iran has left international weapons inspectors stunned over the past two weeks as it suddenly moved virtually all of its underground nuclear fuel stockpile to an above-ground plant, and now the international community is struggling to determine what the country might be planning.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If the nuclear stockpile is being placed in an above-ground plant, any bombing of facility that would send a cloud of nuclear material that could potentially poison the entire region - including Israel, depending on the prevailing winds - for some time to come.

By placing their nuclear facility above ground, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard is attempting to prevent an attack on Iran, rather than invite one.

I find it difficult to believe, whatever one might think of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps' ideology, that these men don't love their children and families, and would not want any harm to come to them.

Ahmadinejad once again fails to call for the annihilation of Israel

It is dreary to see this constant drumbeat of dishonest propaganda. Whatever one thinks of Ahmadinejad or the Iranian regime, one should not misrepresent their statements, since that will lead to bad policy-making.

The Washington Post also wrote, "Ahmadinejad, a Holocaust denier, spoke of Israel's eventual "demise and annihilation". In fact, Ahmadinejad never mentioned Israel as a country at all, and spoke only about what he called the 'Zionist regime.' He favors an admittedly odd form of the 'one state solution' in which Palestinians and at least some Jews would all vote for the same government.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Israeli government is magnificently adept at the "big lie" technique, which they use constantly in demonizing Ahmadinejad and Iran.

And what they really want are "bad policy" decisions, particularly on the part of the US, which will lead it to attack Iran on Israel's behalf, so that it will be the Americans fighting, getting killed, and maimed to "neutralize" yet another one of its existential threats in the region, just as the US did with Iraq (which was, as you remember, also accused of having "weapons of mass destruction").

This country should never be goaded into war by a foreign country, and particularly not by Israel.

If there is a military confrontation between the US and Iran, it is very probable that Russia will come to Iran's aid.

And Russia does have nukes.

US sponsors terrorists to overthrow Iran’s government again? Evidence suggests it’s true

*hyperlinks and video live at source*

Abdolmalek Rigi, leader of the assassination/terrorist group, Jundallah, was announced as captured by Iran’s government on February 23, 2010. Iran televised Mr. Rigi making a statement that the US government funds Jundallah, provides weapons, and assists with logistical management.

Such testimony should be viewed skeptically, as Mr. Rigi’s honesty could certainly be compromised while a prisoner. However, the most important circumstantial evidence and history corroborate the conclusion that the US is engaged in state-sponsored terrorism to overthrow Iran’s government.

Let’s consider this evidence (additional documentation and summaries here, here, and here):

Iranian envoy: IAEA’s Iran report imbalanced, not reflecting Iran’s views

'Iran challenges world's stability'

Defense Minister Ehud Barak stressed the need for tough sanctions against Iran as he wrapped up meetings with senior American officials, even as the two allies have disagreed on the severity of punitive measures in recent days.

“What is really needed is significant sanctions, effective ones, within a time limit,” he said during a speech on Friday at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. During his five-day visit to the US, Barak emphasized that Iran is not only Israel’s problem. “Iran is not just a challenge to Israel,” he said, envisioning a nuclear Iran that intimidates its neighbors and legitimizes radicalism and terror. “I can hardly think of a stable world order with a nuclear Iran,” he said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is quite obvious that Barak is blissfully oblivious to the heavy irony in that statement regarding "...envisioning a nuclear Iran that intimidates its neighbors and legitimizes radicalism and terror.“

In the neighborhood of the Middle East, it is Israel which intimidates its neighbors and legitimizes radicalism and terror, particularly for Palestinians having to deal with intimidation and physical violence from settlers living on illegal settlements, not to mention the IDF.

It is Israel which will not allow the siege of Gaza to end.

It is Israel which refuses to define its borders in order to obtain a meaningful peace with the Palestinians.

It is Israel which continues to harass Lebanon, with illegal overflights to which the IDF is hoping the Lebanese military will respond, so that they have another excuse to go into Lebanon, all the way to the Litani river, because they want to claim the water as its own.

It is Israel which has nuclear weapons, as confirmed by the revelations of Mordechai Vannunu in the late 80s, and by both former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and former American President Jimmy Carter.

It is Israel which urged the US to invade and occupy one of its former "existential threats in the region", Iraq. The Iraq war was built on a pack of lies with which to "sell" the war to the American people; now, Israel is trying to do the same thing with Iran.

It is Israel which believes that its Mossad can carry out extrajudicial assassinations everywhere in the world with impunity, as evidenced by the recent "hit" on Mahmoud al-Mabhoud in Dubai.

It is Israel which takes territory by any means they think they can get away with, as evidenced by the recent declaration of "heritage sites". As reported on 25 February 2010 in:

http://www.jweekly.com/article/full/41481/soldiers-clash-with-upset-palestinians/

"At a special Cabinet meeting Feb. 21, Netanyahu announced the plans for the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, as well as Rachel’s Tomb on the outskirts of Bethlehem, to be added to a list of national heritage sites that Israel will rehabilitate and promote. Altogether, about 150 sites are on the list."

"The Palestinians claim all of the West Bank as part of a future state, and see the Israeli move as a provocation. In fact, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, speaking Feb. 23 during a visit in Belgium, warned that the region could plunge into a “religious war.” '

it is Israel which is the ultimate "bad neighbor" in the Middle East, not Iran.

Israeli DM: No Need to Coordinate With US on Attacking Iran

At his visit to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), an AIPAC founded think tank, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak reiterated his calls for Western nations to keep “all options” open in moving against Iran. But more importantly, he suggested Israel might attack Iran even beyond American objections.

“I don’t think that there is a need to coordinate in this regard,” Barak insisted, adding later in the speech that Israel has always “felt very proud that we never asked the Americans to come and fight for us.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, Ehud, you made the claim in public that "...Israel has always “felt very proud that we never asked the Americans to come and fight for us.”?!?

Some Americans have a long memory, sir.

As reported on 18 January, 2003, in

Israel Urges US to Attack Iraq: "Sooner, Rather than Later"

"Sharon's advisor: Urges US to accelerate aggression on Iraq, says postponement bad for Israel"

"A former Israeli ambassador to Washington who is now advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has urged the Israeli government to step up pressure on the Bush Administration to accelerate the war on Iraq."

'Zalman Shuval said in an article in the Hebrew newspaper Yedeot Ahranot, published Thursday 16 January, that Israel should make behind-the-scene efforts to get the American administration to attack Iraq "sooner rather than later." '

Shuval argued that while Israel shouldn't brazenly appear as pushing the Bush Administration to attack Iraq, the Jewish state should never ignore or be oblivious to the risks of a postponed war on Iraq."

I will never forget this push to war, to "neutralize" yet another of Israel's "existential threats" in the region. And again, Iraq and Saddam Hussein were accused of having weapons of mass destruction, which was part of the pack of lies upon which that war was sold to the American people.

Neither do those people who fought in this war.

Nor the families and friends of those military service members who died or got maimed for life.

But I'll tell you what; if you start this war (which has been wargamed by Israeli intelligence as having an unclear outcome, with possibly horrendous unforeseen consequences), the US government should let you finish it all by yourself, and see what happens.

Then, the US should yank every bit of economic and military funding from Israel, permanently.

The Iran Threat? ... more of the same

In September last year, US ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)Glyn Daviesdeclared that Iran had now acquired "possible breakout capacity" if it decided to enrich its uranium to bomb-grade level. American intelligence reportedly found that despite having enough nuclear fuel "to make a rapid, if risky, sprint for a nuclear weapon", the regime had "deliberately stopped short of the critical last steps to make a bomb."

Yet after Ahmedinejad's declaration of plans to ramp up enrichment to a higher 20 per cent level, White House officials responded with scepticism, putting the statement down to "politics not physics."

The UN nuclear agency, the US and Iran

The clear purpose of such claims is to heighten fears that Iran is pushing ahead with secret, nuclear weapons programs, as is commonly asserted as fact in the more rabid sections of the American media. Yet the IAEA report contained no new evidence of Iranian nuclear weapons programs and no evidence at all of any “current” research. The shift in emphasis in the document has far more to do with the change in agency’s director than any concern for the facts. The reality is that the IAEA has become politicised by the issue of Iran’s nuclear programs to the point where its ostensibly technical reports have provoked sharp internal divisions.

The Iran Threat - More of the same

"Iran has for long stated its willingness to implement the IAEA’s ‘Additional Protocol’, an entirely voluntary measure which would subject Iran’s nuclear facilities to an even more stringent and intrusive international inspection process, and which would satisfy US and EU professed demands for ‘proof’, while also permitting a multilateral consortium to adjudicate uranium enrichment within Iran – as long the international community equally recognizes Iran’s NPT-stipulated right to develop its own peaceful nuclear enrichment programme. Yet detailed proposals along these lines have been repeatedly ignored and rejected out-of-hand by both the US and the EU."

Iran, Syria Stress ‘Solid Ties’, Say Ready For Any Israeli Aggression

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his Iranian counterpart President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday publicly shrugged off US efforts to drive a wedge between the two Middle East allies. "I am surprised by their call to keep a distance between the countries ... when they raise the issue of stability and peace in the Middle East, and all the other beautiful principles," Assad said

US, Israel resume 'strategic dialogue' on Iran

The United States and Israel on Thursday resumed a "strategic dialogue" over Iran's nuclear programme for the first time since US President Barack Obama assumed office, officials said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The is a polite way of saying that Ehud Barack is screaming at Obama to start the @#%$ing war on Iran right now or kiss his re-election goodbye.

US rejects peace and life; hell-bent for war

Original content by Oryzen

You would think that a Nobel Peace Prize winning President Barack “mau mau” Obama would jump at the opportunity to save lives and ensure peace by accepting a new Iranian government peace offerer. instead, “Mau Mau” sent his minions Robert Gibbs to reject Iran ‘s offer.

"Time and patience is running out,” Iran will face “consequences,” and “they have no interest in building international confidence that their nuclear program is for peaceful means.” Robert Gibbs.

Russia warns West against crippling economic sanctions on Iran

When asked what sanctions Russia might be able to support, he said: “Those that are directed at resolving non-proliferation questions linked to Iran’s nuclear programme.”

“What relation to non-proliferation is there in forbidding banking activities with Iran? This is a financial blockade. And oil and gas. These sanctions are aimed only at paralysing the country and paralysing the regime,” he said.

Iran holds 16 per cent of the world’s proven gas reserves and 11 per cent of the world’s oil reserves, but desperately needs investment to develop them.

Military ready to refuse unlawful war orders? US public: 9 to 1 ratio say govt “unrepresentative”

*hyperlinks and video live at source*

What can we conclude when our government tyrants threaten war with Iran because the tyrants refuse to sell Iran 1 gram of medical isotopes worth $75,000, and contrive Iran’s legal production of isotopes for nearly one million human beings’ medical procedures as a cause for war?

There are a few rational conclusions:
1.Tell the truth about what’s right in front of us with powerful factual accuracy.
2.Refuse cooperation with evil, and those with arrest powers to exercise them for those who issue unlawful orders.
3.Respectfully ask for the tyrants to surrender power.

US Military to refuse unlawful orders? US refuses Iran 1 gram of isotopes worth $75K; prefers war

*hyperlinks and video live at source*

The yearly need of Iran for life-saving medical isotopes is less than one gram and costs Iran $75,000 to refine the fuel. Iran has stated they would prefer to buy the isotopes rather than produce them. The US could resolve the threat of war with Iran if President Obama made a speech today saying the US will allow Iran to produce it themselves under inspection by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a legal right guaranteed by treaty among nations including the US and Iran, or by the US selling Iran the isotopes.

Ya'alon heads delegation to China

Israel on Tuesday said Deputy Prime Minister Moshe Ya'alon will lead a high-level delegation next week to China, the most prominent holdout against tough sanctions on Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Would I love to be a fly on that wall as these "discussions" on Iran unfold!

Israel has absolutely nothing China wants, and China has stated, official and publicly, that they do not favor harsher sanctions.

Additionally, as reported on Jan 15, 21009 in:

http://en.rian.ru/world/20090115/119506131.html

"The National Iranian Oil Company and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) signed on Wednesday a $1.76 billion contract on developing Iran's North Azadegan oil field, local media reported."

China will do nothing to jeopardize this deal.

This visit, is of course pro forma, before the UN is once again declared "irrelevant" by Israel, and the bombs start falling.

Conquest and Censorship

After the Battle of Hastings in 1066, William the Conqueror’s army buried its fallen comrades, but left the corpses of the English defenders to rot in the fields where they lay.

Such is the brutal nature of war: the victor inflicts all manner of suffering and humiliation on the vanquished.

What the United States is doing in Iraq and Afghanistan is only marginally differen

The Unstated Script of the Wiesel Open Letter to President Obama

Earlier this month, the Wiesel Foundation for Humanity published, as an advertisement, an open letter to the President of the United States and the leaders of France, Russia, Britain and Germany, a letter carried by the New York Times and the International Herald Tribune. The issue eliciting the need for such a public letter, essentially a letter written to the world, stood boldly as a heading: “How Long Can We Stand Idly By And Watch The Scandal In Iran Unfold?”

Iran again asks to buy, swap nuclear fuel for patients; US rejects peace and life; hell-bent for war

*hyperlinks and video live at source*

Iran will run-out of medical isotopes within a month; leaving nearly 850,000 patients without a critical tool for their diagnosis and treatment. Iran’s government repeated their request to buy or swap fuel (previous acceptance here), even though they are legally authorized to produce their own. The US-proposed delay for Iran to receive the enriched fuel after a wait of up to one year would kill Iranians in need of the treatment.

You would think that a Nobel Peace Prize winning President would jump at this opportunity to save people’s lives and ensure peace by accepting either option the Iranian government has peacefully offered.

But instead, Mr. Obama sent his minions to reject Iran. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs:

Testing the waters for attack on Iran by Israel

Subtle things in this article. Author is just warning us, you see. We need to be prepared to face the consequences of Israel making an UNPROVOKED ATTACK on Iran. How about this, we stop supporting Israel and distance ourselves from them? Retaliation on US troops in the region is predicated on OUR SUPPORT of Israel. What are we getting out of this again? Oh, that's right, debt and enemies.

Iran to reveal evidence of Jundallah ties with US

Iran says it has irrefutable evidence confirming that terrorist ringleader Abdolmalek Rigi had been aided and abetted by the US government before his arrest.

The leader of the Jundallah terrorist group was on a flight from the United Arab Emirates to Kyrgyzstan when he was tracked down by Iranian security forces on Tuesday.

US denies links to captured Iran militant

Iranian allegations that a top Sunni militant had been to an American military base in Afghanistan prior to his capture are "totally bogus," a senior US official said Tuesday.

Rigi, Iran's most wanted fugitive who is accused of launching deadly attacks from Pakistan, had been tracked by Iranian agents for five months before his arrest, Iranian intelligence minister Heydar Moslehi said in Tehran.

US warns Iran 'time and patience is running out'

The United States warned Iran on Tuesday that "time and patience is running out" with its nuclear program, saying Tehran had shown no interest in allaying world fears.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We saw this exact same rhetoric in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq. There is no doubt now that Israel and the US will start yet another war for your loved ones to die in.

But there is a difference this time.

This time you cannot hide behind the official lies regurgitated by ABCNNBBCBS. This time you know ahead of time it is all another lie to start another unprovoked war. This time you cannot pretend you didn't know what the US Government and Israel are really doing.

The US has invaded five nations, and aims for a 6th. The body count is already in the millions. War crimes are being committed.

War with Iran will quite possibly mean war with Russia and China. They have played Neville Chamberlain to the US' Hitler and like that fool from another age realize appeasement will never work as long as Israel calls the shots and Americans pay the butchers' bills.

World War Three is already started.

And the US is going to lose.

Iran Letter Repeats Nuclear Swap Terms Rejected by West

Iran offered a formal, written response Tuesday to a Western-backed plan to defuse the crisis surrounding its nuclear ambitions, but Tehran’s reply was couched in terms the United States and its allies have already dismissed, according to Iranian accounts and diplomats.

US war embezzlement visualized: 4-minute video banned from Congress testimony: “Iraq for Sale”

*hyperlinks and videos live at source*

Robert Greenwald, the creator of Brave New Films, testified to the House Appropriations Committee, Subcommittee on Defense about war profiteering. He planned to show a 4-minute excerpt from his film, “Iraq for Sale,” as a more powerful communication than his mere speaking but was blocked by a majority vote of those in favor of the Iraq war.

The powerful and revealing 4-minute video is below.

Following is a 3-minute CBS News story of then Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld admitting the Pentagon “lost” $2.3 trillion dollars:
That’s $23,000 for every US household,
or embezzling $1,000,000 from a military project 2,300,000 times,
or embezzling a million dollars a day for 6,300 years,

Admiral Mullen: Attacking Iran Would Not Stop Nuclear Program

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Admiral Michael Mullen today cautioned that a military attack on Iran would not be able to stop the nation’s civilian nuclear program, but could at best slow it down.

Speculation of a possible American attack on the nation has been rising since last week’s comments by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, who said the nation would never rule out a military strike against the nation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Great that Mullen publicly made that observation.

However, on 14 February, in Tel Aviv, Mullen made a statement to the effect that the US would always defend Israel.

But did Israel "get the memo" on this, to the point where they won't try to concoct some kind of false flag operation to blame on Iran, and get the war going?

They may well be able to start such a conflict, but innumerable studies have indicated that they cannot finish it without US help.

Clinton’s Final Offer to Iran: “One More Bundle of ‘Crippling Sanctions’-One More T List!’

“The West just has to cope with a strong and peaceful Iran, a country with thousands of years of civilization that is now a master of enrichment. I know it is hard for them to digest, but it is the reality. The language of American threats demonstrates a colonialist mentality. Threatening Iran with the Security Council, with more sanctions or military action further complicates the issue. It just doesn’t work.”
