Israeli flight took off on 9/11 bound for Tel Aviv; authorized by DOD

The flight departed JFK at 4:11 pm and its departure was, according to the El Al sources, authorized by the direct intervention of the U.S. Department of Defense. U.S. military officials were on the scene at JFK and were personally involved with the airport and air traffic control authorities to clear the flight for take-off.

According to the 9/11 Commission report, Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta ordered all civilian flights to be grounded at 9:45 am on September 11.

Israeli Historian: Israel Could Find Itself Forced To Wipe Out Europe

Noted Israeli military historian Martin van Creveld stated that Israel could find itself one day forced to exterminate the European continent using all kinds of weapons including its nuclear arsenal if it felt its demise neared, stressing that Israel also considers Europe a hostile target.

ISRAEL GOT WHAT IT WANTED

After weeks of provocative war mongering moves, such as opening a synagogue at Al Aqsa Mosque, refusing to let Muslim enter Al Aqsa Mosque, ethnically cleansing Muslims from their homes in East Jerusalem, announcing more land grabbing settlements of close to 2 thousand new psychotic settlers, and generally poking sticks and attempting to instigate fights with Muslims, Israel is today rejoicing, their work has now paid off.

Today a small rocket was fired into Israel (by a handful of dissidents) and a Thai agricultural worker died as a result, this is very sad for the innocent man, however it is not a reason to once again bomb thousands of innocent Gazan civlians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Personally I think that rocket was fired by Israeli collaborators.

JINSA - Arab States Lose Faith in the United States Over Lack of Action on Iran, Administration Blames Israel

The briefers reported that there was a growing perception among Arab leaders that the U.S. was incapable of standing up to Israel, that CENTCOM's mostly Arab constituency was losing faith in American promises, that Israeli intransigence on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was jeopardizing U.S. standing in the region, and that [U.S. envoy and former Senator George] Mitchell himself was (as a senior Pentagon officer later bluntly described it) "too old, too slow ... and too late."

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is not just the US. The longer the United Nations is unable to constrain Israel to international law and UN Resolutions, the less credibility it has as a potential global government.

Report: Israel to offer 'don't ask don't tell' on East Jerusalem builds

Israel will not cancel the newly approved East Jerusalem construction project, but will postpone its execution to facilitate peace talks with the Palestinian Authority, a Washington Post report citing Israel's U.S. envoy said on Thursday.

Senior Post reporter Jackson Diehl, said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to tell the Obama administration that he both cannot revoke the Ramat Shlomo expansion plan both for legal reasons and as a result of wide public support in continued building in Jerusalem.

Anti-Defamation League Goes After Gen. Petraeus

The Anti-Defamation League takes the unexpected step of criticizing Gen. David Petraeus, the widely respected commander of U.S. troops in the Middle East and South Asia, for his recent comments to the Senate Armed Services Committee that lack of progress on Israeli-Palestinian peace sets the “strategic context” for U.S. security fortunes in the region. “Gen. Petraeus has simply erred in linking the challenges faced by the U.S. and coalition forces in the region to a solution of the Israeli-Arab conflict, and blaming extremist activities on the absence of peace and the perceived U.S. favoritism for Israel,” the ADL’s Abraham Foxman says in a just-released statement. “This linkage is dangerous and counterproductive.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Yep, Israel is trying to delink itself from the coming US attack on Iran!

THE PAST THREE DAYS IN JERUSALEM ~~ PHOTO ESSAY

On Tuesday tens of hundreds of Palestinians of all political persuasions took to the streets, alleys and sidewalks as widespread rioting and protests spread across East Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza and into Israel proper.

The worst violence in several years, something of a mini Intifadah or uprising, followed the Islamist movement Hamas calling for a ‘Day of Rage’ to protest Israel’s continued Judaisation of East Jerusalem and what Palestinians see as an attempt to take over Islamic holy sites.

"By way of Deception"?

'Israeli spy planes flew over Budapest'

Two Israeli aircraft appearing to be spy planes flew near Budapest's international airport last week but did not land there, Hungarian media reported Thursday.

Israeli fighter jets pound Gaza Strip

Israeli fighter jets have bombarded at least two sites in the Gaza Strip shortly after a Thai agricultural worker was killed when a rocket fired from the besieged coastal enclave struck the northern Negev.

The eyewitnesses said Israeli F-16 fighter jets targeted an open area north of the Gaza City. The warplanes also fired missiles at an open area in the central Gaza Strip.

One of the warplanes broke the sound barrier in the skies of northern and central Gaza Strip, causing panic through the crowd, especially women and children.

Bibi’s Tense Time-Out

The president and his inner circle are appalled at Israel’s self-absorption and its failure to notice that America is not only protecting Israel from Iran, fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but also dealing with a miasma of horrible problems at home. And Israel insults the Obama administration over a domestic zoning issue that has nothing to do with its security?

“That’s not how you treat your best friend,” said one Obama official.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ah yes, the zoning issue; a tempest in a teapot, or a molehill amplified into a huge mountain for political theater.

I am not excusing Israel's violation of International Law or continuing defiance of the United Nations, it is just that after all the settlements already built, the kerfuffle over this latest one seems obviously promoted in the media.

Which is why I am convinced that this is indeed a staged political theater piece for the express purpose of creating the illusion of a US / Israeli political divide to give Israel deniability over the coming US attack on Iran.

URGENT APPEAL: Illegal detention of children inside Israel

On or about 8 March 2010, Israeli authorities transferred at least seven Palestinian children from Ofer Prison, in the West Bank, to Rimonim Prison, inside Israel. This decision occurred after lawyers for DCI-Palestine informed Ofer military court that children were being detained illegally with adult detainees inside Ofer prison. However, the response of the Israeli authorities to transfer the children to Israel amounts to a further contravention of international law.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the UN had any credibility at all in terms of world leadership, they would halt the heinous Israeli practice of imprisoning children.

Of course, they can't, so they don't. When it comes to Israel, the UN can only be characterized as thoroughly incompetent, and a total embarrassment.

WHY THE FUROR OVER BUILDING A SYNAGOGUE IN JERUSALEM?

First we must recognize that International law is rather
clear that East Jerusalem is illegally occupied by Israel and per the Geneva conventions, and buildings or activities in the occupied areas are subject to those conventions. Any transfer of population to the occupied areas including infrastructure for these individuals is considered proscribed settlement activity contrary to both the letter and the spirit of the law.

Health ministry: 12 deaths and 25 injuries in Gaza during three months

The Palestinian ministry of health reported Sunday that the number of victims who have been killed in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation since the start of 2010 and until the ninth of March amounted to 12 Palestinians and the injuries to 25 others.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And if you cannot believe Turd Blossom, who can you believe?

There is no question that Israel was behind the push for all these wars.

But Rove's denial. coming at this time, reinforces the theory that Israel wants to create the illusion of a political split between Israel and the US prior to the US attacking Iran.

US envoy 'due in Middle East on March 21'

US Middle East envoy George Mitchell will arrive in the region on Sunday for a visit that had been delayed amid a row between Washington and Israel, a senior Palestinian official told AFP.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The question is, why is Mitchell even bothering to go?

Israel is intransigent, belligerent, continues killing and wounding more Palestinians by the day, and building in the occupied territories with impunity.

Envoy Mitchell, there is no reason for you to be going to Israel. Israel will, once again, as it did with Vice-President Biden, vomit in your face, and tell you it's raining.

Unless, of course, that little performance was all for show to appear to distance Israel from the US if and when the US attacks Iran, so that Israel is granted, at least on the surface, some kind of "plausible denyability".

Then, when Iran attacks Israel, Iran will be the bad guy, and we're off and running into World War III.

US bunker-buster missiles have already been shipped to Diego Garcia.

PROPAGANDA ALERT - Sweden: A new hotbed of hatred?

Yet it is also the country where the largest-circulation newspaper published a scandalously misleading report accusing the Israeli military of killing Palestinians to harvest their human organs – a modern-day repetition of the historical blood libel all too familiar to Jews. Construction of the Third Temple in Jerusalem to begin soon God willing !

According to the Vilna Gaon, one of the greatest sages of the 18th century on ”March 16, 2010, Israel will begin construction of the Third Temple in Jerusalem….,

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem is that there has already been a third temple.

The first Temple is the Temple built by David and Solomon, which is presumed to have existed even though there is no archaeological evidence to prove it. (The Pomegranate Staff ornament and the Jehoash Tablet once cited as physical proof of the First Temple have both been exposed as hoaxes). That temple is supposedly destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar.

The Second Temple was the one built by Zerubbabel following the Babylonian Captivity. That temple is eventually converted to the Roman Akva Fortress. When Pompey invades Judea, he finds the remains of the Second Temple to be empty.

The Third Temple was built by Herod the Great in an attempt to ingratiate himself with his Jewish subjects. The Temple Mount is enlarged, leveled, and a completely new Temple constructed on the foundation of the old Roman Fortress.

This Temple of Herod is declared the Third Temple at the time, but is destroyed by Hadrian in 136 who then builds a Temple of Jupiter and statue of himself on the spot.

Because none of the religious prophecies connected to the creation of the Third Temple actually materialized before its destruction (and a revolt to try to retake the mount and start a third temple failed), the Jewish priests simply declared Herod's Temple had only been a "rebuild" of the Second Temple, even though the construction, lasting over 40 years, was a complete replacement from the ground up.

By this swindle the priests were able to keep leading their flocks with wonderful prophecies about what the erecting of the Third Temple would bring, not unlike the various religious groups that predict the end of the world, then when the prediction fails, simply change the numbers and go back to business as usual.

But the fact is that, if you stipulate that David and Solomon's Temple really did exist, then Israel has already had their three temples.

Israel: THE “SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP” IS DEAD

Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Clinton and Joint Chief's Chairman Mike Mullen have all recently visited Israel on two issues, reliable information that Israel was planning an attack on Iran, a plan designed to push America into a war our leaders believe is both wrong and likely to risk a global nuclear confrontation with Russia and the building of a massive housing project on the Arab side of Jerusalem in violation of numerous agreements, a project that is likely to cause a spike in world terrorism and send thousands of new fighters to Afghanistan to face American forces there.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh that it were so. But I have my doubts.

The story of the new document that proves the White House directly intervened in the 9-11 investigation proves that Israel is still holding the truth of 9-11 over the US Government's head, in order to blackmail the US Government into doing Israel's bidding. The story about bunker-busters being shipped to Diego Garcia suggests that the US is doing as it is told and is preparing to attack Iran's non-existent nuclear weapons by which we mean the power stations and medical isotope facilities.

But, Israel is afraid of being seen as the cause for the US attack. Abe Foxman is already out bloviating that Israel has never, EVER, asked Americans to fight Israel's wars for them. Technically, he is correct. Israel tricks the US into making war on Israel's enemies (see The Lavon Affair, the attack on the USS Liberty, and the fake radio transmitter in Tripoli as examples).

So, in order to forestall retaliation by Iran or its allies against Israel, Israel has decided to appear to be separating from the US politically, so that when the US sends the bombers into Iran to smash the place, Israel can say, "Who? Us!?!"

Of course, this deception won;t foll Iran or any other world leader, but no doubt when Iran does counter attack through our troops in Iraq to get to Israel, no doubt ABCNNBBCBS will scream that Iran is attacking Israel 'without just cause' in order to urge escalation into a full blown WW3.

Because I do not think for a moment Israel would allow the US the slightest chance to break free of the chains Israel worked so hard to place on our politicians.

US-Israel Tensions Continue To Percolate

Despite assurances by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Tuesday that the United States and Israel share a “close, unshakable bond,” the week-old crisis between the two allies continued to percolate Tuesday.

Washington canceled a planned trip to the region by its special Middle East peace envoy, while its top regional military commander warned that the failure to make progress in Israeli-Palestinian negotiations and the “perception” that the U.S. favored Israel in that conflict were damaging to U.S. security interests and allies in the Arab world and helped al-Qaeda and Iran gain influence.

The person making this comment was not an official expert witness–but he was a European who understood the mindset that made Europeans complicit, not only in Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people, but also in Israel’s impunity.

Lieberman: U.S. demand to end East Jerusalem building is 'unreasonable'

The demands made by the U.S. and other world powers regarding the cessation of Israel's building projects in East Jerusalem is unreasonable, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said on Wednesday, adding that he felt preventing Jews from buying lands anywhere in the capital is a form of discrimination.

Left is Livid: IDF Turning Bilin, Naalin to Closed IDF Zones

The Association for Civil Rights in Israel and Yesh Din, groups that are sponsored by the New Israel Fund, are upset over an IDF decision to declare the villages of Bilin and Naalin closed military zones every Friday. “The IDF is trampling on freedom of expression in a place that has become a symbol of protest,” they said.

The groups' statement ignores and denies the violent nature of the weekly actions at Bilin and Naalin, which began five years ago and have, in one case, caused an IDF soldier to lose an eye.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As reported on 11 Feb 2010 in:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2010-02-11-israel-barrier_N.htm

" Opponents of Israel's contentious separation barrier in the West Bank scored a long-awaited victory Thursday when the government began rerouting the enclosure to eat up less of a Palestinian village that has become a symbol of anti-wall protests and the site of frequent clashes.

The move comes 2 1/2 years after Israel's Supreme Court ruled that the barrier must be moved to ease the hardship of Palestinians in the village of Bilin. Some Palestinians welcomed the development but stressed it fell far short of their demand to dismantle the entire enclosure.

Weekly protests near Bilin have become a symbol of the Palestinians' struggle against the barrier's encroachment on West Bank land, which they claim for their future state. Six protesters have been killed and dozens injured in clashes with Israeli forces over it."

Israel Is Boss

The United States may invade and occupy Iraq, undermine elected presidents in Haiti and throw its weight around in numerous ways in numerous parts of the world. Yet there is one country it does not dare to confront. Of course, the nation in question is Israel.

Israel and its allies in the United States make certain that no president, no political party, no congressional leader nor any citizen who wishes to be in any way influential, will dare to step outside the lines of proscribed behavior and discourse. The American public, either because they are aware of the pro-Israel grip on power, or because they have swallowed the propaganda whole, remain cowed and silent.

Tensions Rise As Israel Announces New Homes

Israel is being accused of deepening the crisis with the US by announcing it is set to build 426 new settler homes - in addition to the 1,600 announced last week.

The plans, for two areas of East Jerusalem, come the day after Israel's ambassador to the US described relations between the two countries as at their lowest in 35 years.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This act isn't just spitting on the face of the US and telling the US it's raining: it's the Israeli government vomiting on the face of the US and telling the US it's raining.

Mar 17 10:01

Netanyahu shows little yearning for peace

Netanyahu evidently calculates that the U.S. cannot or will not distance itself from Israel despite his stubbornness about building, especially since the Palestinians have shown little interest in a genuine, enduring peace.

The Israeli activist group Peace Now says Netanyahu is "trying to make Jerusalem indivisible so that it will not be possible to reach a solution based on two states for two peoples." This is not a claim Netanyahu can plausibly deny. But can anybody really call such a policy the earnest pursuit of peace?

Webmaster's Commentary:

The statement "...Palestinians have shown little interest in a genuine, enduring peace." is an outright lie, pure and simple.

But the reality that Israel is only interested in territory, by any means necessary, has certainly been underscored by the decision to build these units.

What the US government should be doing is immediately pulling all US financial and military aid from Israel as a way of expressing it's displeasure.

Unfortunately, that will only happen when pigs fly.

‘DAY OF RAGE’ IN JERUSALEM

Yesterday, demonstrations were held throughout Jerusalem by Palestinians and progressive Israelis. They were protesting the growth of illegal settlements and evictions throughout the occupied eastern part of the city.

One of the demonstrations was held on the campus of the Hebrew University. About 80 Palestinian students assembled peacefully outside one of the main entrances. They were jeered by no more than 10 Israeli students who chanted “Go back to Gaza”, among other chants that I dare not put in writing without putting an ‘adult content’ tag on this post.

It was an ugly situation to say the least.

Mar 17 09:18

Netanyahu shows little yearning for peace

There seems little chance that everyone will soon "calm down," as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu put it, about his confirmation that Israel will go ahead with 1,600 housing units in East Jerusalem.

Defending the plan, Netanyahu reminds the world that since 1967, Israeli leaders have considered all of Jerusalem ("complete and united," as a 1980 law says) to be the capital of Israel. Construction projects serve to convert political assertion to demographic reality.

What's different in this case, however, is that U.S. President Barack Obama's administration was by some accounts losing patience with Netanyahu over the issue even before last week's shocking embarrassment of Vice-President Joe Biden.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Netanyahu reminds the world that since 1967, Israeli leaders have considered all of Jerusalem ("complete and united," as a 1980 law says) to be the capital of Israel. "

Nazi leaders considered all non-Germans to be inferior, and had laws that backed that up. Such laws did not make the Germans right in their delusions, of course.

The United Nations has passed numerous resolutions declaring Jerusalem a shared international city which Israel continues to ignore.

This is not a misunderstanding; Israel knows it is stealing land that belongs to other people or they would not call themselves "settlers!"

Meeting Shimon Peres the next day, Joe confessed that when he first visited at age 29, “Israel captured my heart.”

In Peres’ guestbook, he wrote, “The bond between our two nations has been and remains unshakable.”

He then told Peres and the world, “There is absolutely no space between the United States and Israel when it comes to Israel’s security.”

Flyer calls on non-Jews to 'leave the land'

Right-wing ultra-orthodox Jews handed out Arabic fliers calling on "non-Jews to leave the land of Israel," in the streets of Jerusalem on Sunday, witnesses reported.

The fliers, quoting Torah and Qur'an, used scripture to urge Palestinians living in the city to leave.

"The Old Testament says the land of Israel is small and belongs to Jews only. Others are not allowed to stay permanently," the flier read.

Unflipping believable.

'U.S. administration is ignoring a host of Palestinian provocations'

Republican Whip Cantor (R-VA) called the U.S. reaction to the Israeli announcement "irresponsible."

"In an effort to ingratiate our country with the Arab world, this administration has shown a troubling eagerness to undercut our allies and friends," Cantor said. "Israel has always been committed to the peace process, including advocating for direct talks between Israelis and Palestinians, in effort to bring this conflict to an end. Unfortunately, the Palestinian government continues to insist on indirect talks and slowing down the process."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to Republican Whip Cantor: the Bovine Excrement Meter just sucked all its valves and imploded upon encountering that last paragraph.

Does Cantor believe, for one millisecond, that the thinking people reading this statement are collectively cursed with adult ADD?!?!?

Inside the Lawfare Project: Netanyahu’s Attack on Human Rights NGO’s Hits the States

“Why didn’t you invite any speakers with an alternative perspective?” Franke asked Schizer.

His reply was curt. “We invited one or two but they couldn’t make it,” Schizer claimed before hurrying away.

Schizer was understandably nervous about his exposure. After all, he had just presided over a day-long conference during which Israeli human rights workers were labeled as traitors while Judge Richard Goldstone and human rights groups were compared to “anti-Semitic street gangs.” After several speakers had harshly condemned legal efforts against the construction of Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, Schizer appeared beside them to lend his credibility to their views.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If Dean David Schizer and the people who supported this event thought for one moment that this was going to change the opinion of thinking people around the world who have actually read the "Goldstone Report", he- and they - are seriously deluded.

These elements supporting the arch-right wing Netanyahu government can bully, excoriate, and attempt to levy every legal maneuver they can throw at Israeli and other NGO human rights groups.

But at the end of the day, with a 24 hour news cycle, the net, cell cameras, etc., they cannot keep the truth from coming out about what is really going on in Palestine, East Jerusalem, Gaza, and the West Bank.

And what is going on in these places is a slow, but inexorable genocide, against the Palestinian people.

The world is watching, Dean Schizer; and there is absolutely no rational rhetoric possible to defend what continues to be done to the Palestinian people by Israel.

US-Israeli Tensions Escalating Quickly

The neoconservative editorial board of the Wall Street Journal accused President Barack Obama of having deliberately "chosen this occasion to spark a full-blown diplomatic crisis with its most reliable Middle Eastern ally." It also warned that Israel will be more likely to attack Iran unilaterally if it "senses that the administration is looking for any pretext to blow up relations."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Netanyahu just might use this episode to "justify" an attack against Iran, declaring that the US is "too weak" to neutralize Israel's most existential threat in the region.

However, if he does this, he may well taking his country to war against Iran without the benefit of US military and/or intelligence assistance.

The fastest way to stop a dog from chasing cars is to let him catch one.

And a note to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: Russia has very strongly hinted that if there is a military confrontation against Iran, Russia will come in militarily on the side of Iran.

And Prime Minister, as does Israel, Russia has nukes.

Clashes Erupt In Jerusalem As Hamas Declares 'Day Of Rage'

Violent clashes between Israeli police and Palestinians have broken out in Jerusalem, after Hamas announced a "day of rage."

Hamas was angered by the reopening of a synagogue in Jerusalem's Old City, fueling Palestinian fears that the restoration of the Hurva synagogue would endanger a nearby mosque. Hamas rival Fatah urged Muslims to rush to the al-Aqsa mosque, the most sensitive of Muslim sites in the divided city.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to Hamas: this is precisely the response the Israeli government and IDF want to elicit.

Please, pull a "Gandhi" here, because anything other than that will get heads smashed, and absolutely nothing substantive accomplished toward the establishment of a viable Palestinian state.

HUMILATING AMERICA

After the astounding humiliation of Vice President Joseph Biden by Israel’s rightwing government, that nation’s premier newspaper, “Ha’aretz,” cited an old Hebrew saying, `Biden had to wipe spit off his face and say it was only rain.’

Before arriving in Israel, Biden had repeated President Obama’s demand that Israel cease building new housing in East Jerusalem, which violates international law and decades of UN resolutions. Washington and the EU have repeatedly asked Israel to cease most building activity in the occupied West Bank.

Anti-Semitism – what is it?

Jeff Gates considers how the definition of “anti-Semitism” has been broadened to an extent where any questioning of Israel’s relationship with or penetration of the United States political system, or of anything pertaining to 9/11 or the US’s war on Iraq, is deemed “anti-Semitic” and may pose a risk to the reputation or even the life of the questioner.

Israeli Audacity and Axelrod Angst

Don’t fall for that crock of bull-puckey! It is a sham, all part of the “Smoke and Mirrors” game Washington helps Israel play. Sure, Washington was embarrassed and for the cameras even “furious” at times. But nothing of consequence will change in regards to US foreign policy and they all know it.

While we are all fed the glories of democracy and led to believe Israel is a great beacon for democracy in the Middle East, an area populated by roughly 2.5 million Palestinians is being shoved around by a bully government on behalf of only 500,000 Jews that live in these “Occupied Palestinian Territories”. Long live democracy!

Clinton Assured Ties between US, Israel 'Not In Danger'

US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday that Israel must prove it is committed to the Middle East peace process, but brushed aside suggestions that US-Israeli relations are in crisis.

US and Israeli officials are in intense talks over "steps that we think would demonstrate the requisite commitment to the process," Clinton pointed out.

She added that the Obama administration was awaiting a response from Israel to suggestions on how to repair damage caused by last week's announcement of new housing in occupied Jerusalem.

US Media And Israel Military, All In The Family

Recent exposés revealing that Ethan Bronner, the New York Times Israel-Palestine bureau chief, has a son in the Israeli military have caused a storm of controversy that continues to swirl and generate further revelations.

Many people find such a sign of family partisanship in an editor covering a foreign conflict troubling especially given the Times’ record of Israel-centric journalism. Times management at first refused to confirm Bronner’s situation, then refused to comment on it. Finally, public outcry forced Times Public Editor Clark Hoyt to confront the problem in a February 7th column.

Shameful Anti-Free Speech Lobby Labels Questioning Government “Hate”

Shameful Zionist propaganda lobby group The Simon Wiesenthal Center has issued a report which smears people who question government as racists and terrorists, labeling conspiracy theories “hate” in the latest crusade against free speech on the Internet.

SHOOTING OF US HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVIST TO BE REINVESIGATED BY ISRAEL

A year ago. Israeli Border Police shattered the skull of Tristan Anderson with a high-velocity tear gas canister as he stood unarmed following a weekly demonstration against Israel’s Separation Wall in the West Bank village of Nilin. Since then, his family, friends, and supporters around the world continue the struggle to hold Israel accountable.

Anderson, a now-39-year-old resident of Oakland, California, still lies in the Tel Hashomer hospital outside Tel Aviv, where he was taken after the March 13, 2009, shooting. Although his mother Nancy Anderson recently reported some welcome signs of progress in his recovery, he remains in critical condition, with severe permanent brain damage and an uncertain prognosis.

'People are laughing at you': U.K. expert on Israel's PR effort

Conventional marketing wisdom has it that even bad news is good news, as long as people talk about you. But Jonathan Gabay, a leading London-based marketing and branding expert, disagrees, at least when it comes to Israeli hasbara, or public diplomacy.

He is extremely critical of the new campaign recently launched by Israel's Information and Diaspora Ministry, which seeks to motivate Israelis traveling abroad to speak up on behalf of Israel. Dubbed Masbirim Israel, or Explaining Israel, the campaign advises citizens on how to discourse politely and provided a list of Israel's achievements to be highlighted in conversations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The public viewed such Israelis as simply bragging about Israel, and Israelis are already perceived as braggarts anyway, so this plan backfired badly.

Last week, a few Palestinian journalists and I had the opportunity to meet with Martin Day, a spokesman of the British government. The meeting, which was hosted by the Arabic Media Internet Network (AMIN), took place in Ramallah. In his introductory remarks, Day gave the impression that the imminent renewal of peace talks between the almost completely helpless Palestinian Authority (PA) and a brazenly insolent Israel, ruled by the most hawkish government in the Jewish state’s history, will eventually achieve peace and lead to the establishment of a viable Palestinian state. He also lauded the Obama administration, underscoring its “sincerity” towards resolving the enduring Palestinian cause.

Now that they are possibly being ‘called’ on specific issues, rather than admit the errors of their way, they merely twist the truth to get their way….. Unfortunately they probably will as they have for all these years.

Full El Al flight took off on 9/11 from JFK to Tel Aviv

WMR has learned from two El Al sources who worked for the Israeli airline at New York’s John F. Kennedy airport that on 9/11, hours after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grounded all civilian domestic and international incoming and outgoing flights to and from the United States, a full El Al Boeing 747 took off from JFK bound for Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport.

The two El Al employee sources are not Israeli nationals but legal immigrants from Ecuador who were working in the United States for the airline.

( Have to wonder if it was full with Mossad "art students" going home for a little mission accomplished celebration. )

The Petraeus briefing: Biden’s embarrassment is not the whole story

There are important and powerful lobbies in America: the NRA, the American Medical Association, the lawyers -- and the Israeli lobby. But no lobby is as important, or as powerful, as the U.S. military. While commentators and pundits might reflect that Joe Biden's trip to Israel has forever shifted America's relationship with its erstwhile ally in the region, the real break came in January, when David Petraeus sent a briefing team to the Pentagon with a stark warning: America's relationship with Israel is important, but not as important as the lives of America's soldiers. Maybe Israel gets the message now.
